When the original owners retired, they told me that they had found someone who had not only the expertise but also the integrity to carry on. This is true to this day. Scott and Cindy Brown have raised this business to one of exemplary standards in an industry that sadly has too many taking advantage of unsuspecting owners. When your car is serviced by them, you get detailed information on the estimates and on the final invoices. In a time when so few can afford to purchase a new vehicle (or even a used one), the money paid to Connie & Dick's Auto Service Center is an investment in extending the life of your current ride. It pays to not penny pinch on this level of quality and integrity.

During a short stopover in Claremont I found Connie & Dick's, and showed up after 4pm on a Friday to see if they could take a peek at our car. They put it up on the lift within ten minutes of our arrival, gave it a thorough going-over, and identified the potential source of the leak and gave it a quick fix. And - for only $25. Many other places would have told us to go fish on a Friday afternoon, and taken advantage of our road tripping desperation. These folks were honest, attentive, quick, and thorough. We made the drive back home the next day with no issues. Highly recommend these folks for their service and integrity.

I've had a deeply disappointing experience with Montclair Auto Repair…read more Over the course of one month, my check engine light came on three separate times. The first time, they replaced a spark plug, costing me about $200. Two weeks later, the light returned. This time a $687 repair for a completely different issue. Less than two weeks after that, the light came on again. On my third visit, even though their posted opening time is 9 a.m., the technician, Randy, didn't actually show up until after 9:08. He was rude, didn't greet me, and dismissed my concerns instead of offering any apology or empathy. He handed me a paper with another new code and quoted labor costs of $160, with no parts even required. Despite their supposed warranty, I've had to return repeatedly. Each time, a new code, a new cost, and dismissive treatment. Randy even remarked that my car is old and implied I should expect ongoing issues. Yet this doesn't excuse poor service. If I could give zero stars, I would. I can't recommend this shop to anyone looking for accountability or respect.

I hired Quantum Mobile Mechanic to fix a brake light issue, and James did a good job of diagnosing the issue in a quick amount of time. What struck me about James as a business person, was that he didn't just run a test, drop a quote and drive away, he took time to get to know me and we had a good conversation about his business, and how my son wants to be a mechanic. The communication was fast, clear, and extremely helpful. Their diagnostic report was also 10/10.
