I found Patrick's shop through yelp and decided to check him out. It was close to my home and had the drop off over night option so I figured...why not! I was a little concentrated about the over night option since we had to leave the keys and car with the shell gas station. But it all worked out. The staff at the shell was super friendly and reassuring. Patrick called me the next morning around 9 am and advised me what had to be done with my car and also gave me an estimate. Patrick is honest and reliable. This was the second time going to Patrick's shop to have one of our vehicles repaired. The first time was on our Toyota and he fixed what was needed and haven't had any issues with our Toyota since he repaired it. I can't really speak on his actual service as I was turned down to even look at my truck. I gave Patrick a call to see if/when he has time to look at my truck. I've been needing the a/c fixed on it and have had another mechanic work on it but still not working. But I was told By Patrick that he doesn't have the machine to look into an A/C leak and "it's definitely an a/c leak" - so that's all I got, no recommendations where else to go, nothing. It's too bad because I was looking for a good mechanic to work on all my cars. I like to keep my cars for a long time (I've had this truck for over 15 years) ... I almost never write reviews, but I was very grateful to have found Patrick when my car overheated on the 210 freeway. I was towed to another service station that was not accommodating at all, and called Patrick at the Shell station (who had also been recommended by the tow truck driver) and he said no problem, bring it over, he can fix anything. And he did. He showed me where my radiator was cracked and leaking, and changed out the radiator and hoses (at my request) at no additional labor cost. He also checked some of the other hoses and found the source of my check engine light and fixed that for the cost of a hose as well. He did all of this within a few hours and even offered to drop me off at my client's location while he worked. I was very grateful for him being so accommodating and understanding in my time of need, but on top of that, Patrick was a genuinely nice and honest guy, and I felt comfortable with him, which almost never happens when I take my car in to be serviced. read more
