I am posting this again because somehow my review is missing from this page... ***BUYERS BEWARE***I have pushed this review back for about three months. This place is a SCAM! David, who handles the paperwork, made us sign a contract for the OPTIONAL insurance, which he did not disclose to us and that IT IS OPTIONAL. He told us that it was required, and he also made us sign a contract with which the contract paper was covered by his hand that cost 500 for a cancellation fee. Furthermore, we when emailed him and called him during the normal business hours the same day, he never picked up. However, when we called the dealership, the receptionist answered and directed us to him. He made up this bullshit comment that the car insurance was already installed in the car when they bought the car from an auction. He said even though it is written optional on the contract, it is not. It was not until when a male figure talked to David for me when he told us that he would fix it. I felt discriminated as a woman and as a minority. So we scheduled the appointment and went in, but David was not there. Figures. Fortunately, we were able to meet the manager named Ishmael. He had the contract with him and fixed it for us. He told us that he did not know where David was, although it was evident that he knew exactly where he was because we were going to make out situation very public in front of him. Moreover, Ishmael begged us not to write a bad review and that this tactic is just business. Just business! Not only the manager, but also one of the employees named EJ (we made an appointment with him to see cars, but he never showed up) also told us that he was sorry and that it was just business. It is as if they are doing business as if they do not want to have a business tomorrow. Ridiculous. Additionally, Johnny (the bald, short, white man) initially catered to us to help but was extremely unkind. He did not let me test drive the car I wanted to drive. Even more ridiculous. Even more discrimination. When I bought the car, another man (Tito) helped us or should I say "try" (he did not even open the vehicle hood for me). THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE!!! When I got home, I found previous owners' license plates in the trunk, and in the glove compartment the owners' registration. It frustratingly appears that the Auto Republic does a shitty job. I have been telling everyone (family friends, college graduates, and numerous high school graduates who inquired me about where I bought my car) to stay away from this place and to spread this knowledge. I know now to not buy cars from here. DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THIS SCAM OF A PLACE!!!! Since of the customer service rep will probably reach out to me and reply to my review I will say this. If David Gahr is gone, will the manager be gone too as well as EJ? The manager himself and EJ stated that it was business and that is how business works. It seems David was just following orders. I am curious to read what excuses will be conjured up. *** Side note: In total, I have visited this dealership four times. I have also visited the Auto Republic in Santa Ana, and they are much nicer and have allowed me to test drive their cars. read more

The last time I owned a car it was from 2000-2008. Due to many unfortunate circumstances I've been unable to get the car I wanted for a long time now. I have worked hard to put myself in a position to be able to own one again and I have been researching for the last 2 years. I've searched and searched for the right model, right features and the right price. Through my findings i was disappointed one after another, either the car had an issue or the dealership was gouging the price for what it had. By now I have had my guard up and very low expectations of finding something. This past weekend I came across a cars.com advertising linking it to Auto Republic. The car was exactly what I wanted in terms of year range, features and aftermarket accessories. I called that evening and set a time to come in the next day to speak to someone. *Quick note about their receptionist Adriana, she is awesome. She over heard my brother and I talking about needing coffee and while she was out running errands was sweet enough to grab one for us. She did not have to but it was indicator of their entire staff. I visited the dealership and from the very beginning everyone was very upbeat, happy and made us feel comfortable. I was shown to the car and given the car keys and told to go for a ride and even "grab a coffee" lol. I drove the car for about 15 miles going through streets and hopping on the freeway. Our sales rep Tito engaged in a long but productive session of making sure the numbers work. Sometimes we feel bad because we know that dealerships hate people like us and the questions or demands we have. Tito was very patient during the negotiation process until we got to a point where both sides were happy with the numbers and a deal was made. The Manager even came up and shook our hands, we appreciated what he did and he as well appreciated the business. The whole staff and the experience all the way to Brady the finance guy was awesome. Car is running great, 7 years no car and 2 years looking, never been happier! read more

I just got my second car that i never thought i would get approved for. I went to several dealerships even some that were 2 hours away from me to find a deal and a approval, but with bad credit and with a car loan already to my name no one would approve me. The ones that would take the time to consider loaning me would want at leat 4k down and to end up with 450$ monthly payments and with one car payment already i had a budget set already and 450$ wasnt cutting it and 4k down was out of the question. Then i got a call form Johnny from Auto Republic and said that he had the car i was looking for available and said he could defenitly get me approved. Since i already had bad expiriences i was really skeptical and was already thinking i was going to get denied and since it was two hours and 40 mins away i defenitly didnt want to waste my time and go to try to get a car. Johnny told me to do the application online and that they wouldnt waste my time and they could do everything over the phone with me so if we worked out a deal i would go down there to sign and drive off in my new car. I expected them to take forever like other dealerships but to my surprise they called me within 30mins and already were working out a deal for me. We ended up at a great offer that i couldnt let pass by with only 700$ down and 340$ a month for my G35 it was the best deal i got and set up to go the next day to get my new car. When i arrived they were already expecting me and within the hour with the help of Johnny and Brady they gave me the deal we had agreed on and drove off with my new car. They told me that the car was in great conditions and wouldnt have a problem with it. Brady said that they sell too many cars to be dealing with issues after they are sold so that their cars are fully inspected and ready to go, so i took his word and i am pleased to say that i got everything i wanted without any hassle and with excellent service. This dealership is the most WORTHLESS a$$holes I've ever delt with. Where to start..... I contacted them 3 days ago about trading in my 2006 Acura TL on another car they had. We went back and forth for 3 days. You would talk to someone and they would say they would call you right back, and 2 hours later still nothing. You'd call them again, and you would get the same thing, oh we are busy we will call you right back. Then, they told me they couldn't find ANYONE AT ALL to finance me. I called the company that my Acura is financed with, and they said they would finance me on the spot. The told me to put $2000 down, trade in my car, and pick anything UNDER $20,000. I picked a truck that was $15,995. I called my finance company and even got the Dealer Services number they needed to call, and had it all taken care of with the bank. Finally today I got sick of waiting around for these people to get off their a$$es and call me, so I drove over there thinking it would spead them along. The finance manager looks at my deal, and said he wanted $3,500 down on the car, all CASH. I called my finance company back and told them what they said, and they said that they were trying to pull something on me, because all they wanted was $2000 down, and I was actually going to put $2500 down on this deal. The finance company said the dealership NEVER even called them about my deal. Finally I just walked away. I wouldn't EVER go here again. Sad thing is, they didn't lose JUST MY DEAL, they lost MINE AND MY ROOMMATES. I was going to co-sign for him on a Ford Escape Hybrid. Bottom line is this..... they seem shady, their customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! The finance manager seems like a CROOK. OK here goes, bout just over a year ago, I had bought a 07 Tacoma from Fullerton auto. I really had no problems with the truck, until I started feeling heavy vibration during acceleration only, this was goin on for almost a month. There was a recall from Toyota for the spiral cable assy',in which I took my truck to miller Toyota of Anaheim to have it fixed for no charge, I explained to Dave the service guy that I was feeling vibration if they could tell me what was wrong would be cool. 2hrs later my truck was done and there Toyota said I need a new tranny at $5000 to fix! I sent email to Fullerton auto where Steve Wang got my email and was very concerned! I brought my truck to Steve did drivline test pinned the problem to the u-joints not the tranny at all! Then Steve had Daniel his mechanic to fix the u- joints as soon as we got back to the service shop. It was awsome watching as they fixed my truck fast and and with the best part for the replacement! F! Toyota for lieing and tryn to fool me into the most worst thing that can go out in you vehicle! A big thank you to Steve Wang and Daniel at the Fullerton auto square! Highly recommended for servicing your vehicles proper no BS or lies and do the job amazingly fast! I cant belive and am.still shocked that MILLER TOYOTA OF ANAHEIM LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS! Honesty is no joke to me and I dont like liars and almost losing my truck to a transmission that was never broken! so with that said and ya I said it I know my truck will always be well taken care of with Fullerton auto square service with kick ass mechanics that know what they are doing! BUYER BEWARE! I saw a 2013 Mazda 3 I touring i was interested in for 15999 (higher then KBB) Listed and thought maybe i can bring it down a bit with these guys they seem cool, so I was talking to one of the guys and told me yea car is great condition excellent blah blah carfax is perfect one owner ext ext and he told me to come in to see it and we can discuss price then because he is "VERY BUSY" right now. Never heard back from him. So i checked carfax and yes it was clean i was excited, but i thought you know what these guys seem very shady so i ran a AUTO CHECK on the car and guess what i found.. Car has UNIBODY/FRAME DAMAGE, duplicate DMV title issues, lien/loan issues, and is not covered under any buyback protection due to the FRAME DAMAGE. So i call back and speak to DJ, and ask him for a price on the car and he goes on telling me how amazing it is ext and i bring up the FRAME DAMAGE AND DMV TITLE ISSUES, and he gets stumped and asks me right away 'HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT ? I told him i ran a auto check on the car bud.. he replies "OHHH... you know about Auto check ?" What a fool.. Anyways long story short he tried to act like they dident know as if they are a bunch of morons who buy cars without doing thier research. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO SELL CARS LIKE THIS WITHOUT TELLING THE CUSTOMERS. CAN LEAD TO DEATH IN A SIMILAR ACCEDENT DUE TO WEAKENED CORE BODY STRENGTH ALSO UNDERLING ENGINE ISSUES THAT COULD OCCUR. EXPOSED Update #2 To Auto Republic's second response. It's VERY INTERESTING how you lie and falsly accuse me and my wife, "CUSTOMERS" of providing false documents although everything is trully valid. You see us as crooks or something lol....CRAZY.....My wife's Paystubs are legit and you still accuse falsely. My docs were valid too...how ignorant are you guys at AUTO REPUBLIC??? We think your just mad that my wife makes more then you and your co-worker put together. You just couldn't believe my wife makes that much an hour......ITS REALLY FUNNY how you dont mention my wife's valid paystubs to the YELP audience. Tell your GM I said thanks for nothing for running my credit for nothing. The guys at Metro Honda in Montclair trully care about their customers who do not have consistent documentation. They are much more understanding and respectful. Even with my horrible credit, they were still able to get me into a beautiful Granite Crystal Metallic 2015 Charger R/T, VERSANTE RIMS with Low Pro Tires $1500+ alone, not those CHEAP STOCK rims. Beats Audio, navigation, and backup camera. It looks like I got what I want and much more. Just not from a hole in the wall dealer. Instead I got what I want from a Big Name Dealer. I now know only BIG TIME Dealers like Metro can get big things done for their customers. Sadly, small time dealers like Auto Republic have their "hands tied" much too often. read more

Great Buying Experience - Chris Was Awesome! I drove several hours specifically to see a Toyota Sienna I'd had my eye on. From the very start, Chris was fantastic--super responsive, honest, and personable. He answered all my questions quickly via text and email, and when I got to the dealership, he was just as great in person. He was assertive without being pushy, and I genuinely felt he was looking out for my best interest. A day after I purchased the vehicle, the check engine light came on (cue internal panic!), but the dealership didn't brush it off. When I called Chris he told me to bring in the vehicle immediately. They diagnosed the issue as a faulty sensor and immediately replaced it using OEM parts before finalizing anything. Throughout the process the dealership stood by their product. That level of care really surprised me--in a good way. One thing to note: there are fees that totaled around $1,400, but they are listed in the online ad AND the fees cover LoJack vehicle protection and a paint/interior protectant, so you are getting services for the cost. Many dealerships charge fees without any benefit. All in all, this was a much better experience than what I'd expected based on Yelp, CARFAX, or Cars.com reviews. The car was exactly as described, the team stood behind their product, and Chris made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend asking for Chris if you visit! read more

Interesting, all the reviews are 1 star ratings then "magically" appear to 5 star ratings. Seems like Fullerton Auto Square is trying to manipulate there reviews. There vehicles look good from afar. But with closer inspection, they have major flaws and problems. High miles, deep scratches, missing screws and knobs. This place really tries to hustle you and act like your getting a "great deal" when you in fact not. There interest rates are terrible and very high. Complete opposite from what they tell you before negotiating. Also if you read the contract closely, they play the numbers to where there making a huge profit on the back end. It boggles my mind that they think us consumers are really stupid and not smart. Playing us for fools. The customer service is very BAD. Actually it's the lowest you can get. All they do is lie, lie and lie.... straight to your face. Don't buy a vehicle from them and don't be fooled from there bogus 5 star postings. Couldn't be farther from the truth. Your wasting your time, money and energy dealing with these people. Once you buy the vehicle, you are screwed. There warranties mean nothing and they don't care about you once the car leaves the lot. I would give this establishment a negative rating if I could. Throughout my entire experience, the staff demonstrated unprofessionalism, irresponsibility, and rudeness. Specifically, Rigo, Fernando, and Paul (two salesmen and the finance manager) were particularly unpleasant to deal with. Despite my 20 years of experience in sales, I have never encountered such a disrespectful and ill-mannered group of individuals. They ran my credit three times instead of the agreed-upon one, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Additionally, after securing approval and making arrangements to pick up the car, they shockingly sold it to someone else. Their explanation was both dismissive and disrespectful, indicating a complete lack of regard for my time and commitment to the purchase. The tone of voice and attitude displayed by these individuals were nothing short of appalling. What a great find, I'm actually proud of myself that I found a used car dealership that is more than capable of delivering an outstanding sales experience. I had my doubts after a frustrating two weeks of looking for what I really wanted. I knew finding a real stick shift BMW M3 and of the older body style with decent miles was going to be a difficult endeavor but lo and behold this place actually had two of them. I chose a black one with under 50,000 miles and worked out a price that I thought was fair to both myself and the dealership. They were also able to beat my credit unions finance offer and I got a great rate on top of the great price. So now I'm financing with Wells Fargo, I have a warranty on the car, and I'm driving exactly what I wanted. From what I could see they had over 200 cars to choose from, a professional staff, and an easy to find location, I highly recommend this place. read more

He was helpful, cheerful and professional in his duties helping in finding a vehicle to my liking. He handled the transaction in an efficient and concise manner and made my purchasing day at auto Auto Republic and nice experience. He went above and beyond his duties and offered to bring my car to my home in Highland to save me the time and money finding a friend or someone to drive it home. Mr. Cortez, did this service on his day off. I would also like to thank Eddie the finance manager for making the purchase of this vehicle absolutely painless. Was looking online at their inventory and came across a beautiful 2013 Kia optima they had. I called into to let them know I was inquiring about said vehicle and when I arrived the car was already parked out front and ready to go. I forgot which sales guy attended me but he was very very helpful. Took me on a test drive and showed me all the specs of the vehicle. I ultimately fell in love with the vehicle and all the paper work and final price was worked out by the owner ( jr ) himself. He gave me a very good deal on a car that was practically brand new! I can't seem to wanna stop driving my optima ever since. The negative reviews don't give this place justice, at the end of the day your buying an old used car. After hunting everywhere, I finally found the perfect car at Auto Republic (a 911 Carrera S, my dream car), and Johnny Tim was a big part in making this one of the most pleasant auto purchases I have experienced. Because of my work, Johnny took it upon himself to make sure all of the paperwork and negotiations were settled before I even came through the door. Johnny then gave me a guided tour of the entire car (how to fill the gas, how to turn on the light, etc) and stayed with me throughout the whole process. As a big plus, the price of the car was the fair market value as noted on Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book ( give or take a few dollars). Finally, Dave (the closer) and Desmond (the appraiser of my car being sold) were absolutely fantastic in their professionalism and attitude! I even got to ring the sales bell! What a hidden jewel in Fullerton! Granted, it is not a franchise dealership but man, they treat you like family at that place. Yes, you have your sales guys trying to get their sale but that does not take away from the quality of the car and the quality in service. I bought a hard to find Roush Stage II and the price was better than any where else (very hard to find for sale in 500 mile radius) and it was straight to the point since I arrived. I showed up, they pulled the car out of the show room (no questions asked) after 10 min test drive with the manager and it was a done deal. Loan was given to me with terms that I could not find anywhere online and overall an amazing experience. My boss, Anthony, worked with a man by the name of Paul at auto republic who sold our company at Work van. We worked quickly with our finance company who transferred the funds for the van in the same week. When Anthony went to pick up the van, the man, by the name of Fernando double checked all the paperwork, gave him copies, handed Anthony the keys and said drive safely. Never was there mentioned of needing any other type of paperwork. Now, our business is getting affected because they made a mistake with the paperwork and are holding the title until we try to fix their problem. Which means our boss. Anthony has to go all the way to California to get a Travel permit. They're really good at collecting money but have no follow through. Did I forget to mention they've been holding the title for a week now? I don't Even Think That's legal. read more
