After purchasing my vehicle, I experienced significant issues that have left me questioning the information I was given during the sales process. I also purchased an extended warranty through the dealership. I have since requested to cancel that warranty, but the dealership has refused to cooperate with the paperwork/signature needed for the cancellation. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this without taking further action. I have contacted the extended warranty company directly and have also reached out to my lienholder for assistance. Unfortunately, I have still been unable to get this matter properly resolved. What has made the situation even more frustrating is the way it has been handled by management. When I attempted to speak directly with the owner to resolve the matter, he hung up on me multiple times rather than working with me toward a solution. Because of the seriousness of the situation, I have also reached out to my brother-in-law, who works in lemon law, to review my situation and the documentation surrounding the purchase. I have tried to give Smart Motors the opportunity to address my concerns directly. At this point, I am documenting my communications and intend to pursue the legal remedies available to me if this cannot be resolved. Based on my personal experience, I would not purchase from Smart Motors again. In an effort to be honest and accurate, I will say that Ralph, the salesman went the extra mile close the deal. He sought out financing and made sure that the deal was closed. Throughout this process, he was very friendly and responsive. He even said he would get me the "shop price" for tires, and window tinting. When there was an issue with the registration, he ensured that I got the refund quickly. He asked me to do a review on google, yelp, etc... if I was happy with the service, I told him I would. (I forgot). Fast forward barely a month. The car sputters and dies. Check engine light comes on and I limp it to work. I text Ralph, explain what was going on, ask if I should even drive it home. He says it should be fine. It wasn't. It died on the way home and I have to have it towed. I sent Ralph another series of texts, which were unanswered. After receiving no answer, I posted a review on Google. I can't say for sure that the google review was the impetus for him to respond, but I got a response shortly after that. In that response, he mentioned that if integrity was so important tto me, then why did I wait until I had an issue to post the review. He then insinuated that I was told him a lie when I said "I don't have a code reader..." as I was at work, I don't drive around with one, and certainly wouldn't expect to need one for a car that I purchased some 32 days before. I hadn't even made the first payment yet. After he insults my integrity, congratulates me on pointing out that they have no liability (I bought the car, AS IS NO WARRANTY--Remember that EXPERIENCE I mentioned), as well as giving me excuses for his not responding, and then trying to gaslight by saying that I took longer to respond when they were getting me the refund for their registration SNAFU... I believe that that will be the extent of assistance that I get from him, so, I file a complaint with the BBB. After I filed the complaint, but before they contacted LRG, Ralph calls and tells me that he "spoke with the owner, and you can tow it to the shop next door and they will do a diagnostic" I make the arrangements to have it at the shop the next morning very shortly after they open. Then the shop calls me and tells me that I have to come and pick up the car, they were "forbidden from diagnosing the issue because of the BBB complaint" So I have to leave work again, go to the shop and have AAA tow it from there back to the house. At this point all the communications are through the BBB. The first response was "what does this customer want? He bought the car as is" then goes on to state that I was offered a 3rd party warranty (I wasn't) and turned it down (no such interaction occurred). The message then goes on to state that they would pay the "diagnosis fee" but that I would have to remove all negative reviews, and withdraw the BBB Complaint, and agree not to post any more complaints or negative remarks. "LRG management team would like to help the customer with paying the diagnosis fee, but only if the customer removes the complaint and agrees not to file another complaint with the BBB, Yelp, Google, or any other site. We thrive on having a good relationship with our customers." Was the exact quote. They would help (with the diagnostic fee) if and only if I removed any negative comments and promised not to put more. They go on to say that I filed the complaint after they agreed. Negative, Ghostrider; I filed the complaint because their utter lack of response, and then the insulting response from their salesman (yes the same one that was really nice, and incredibly responsive while he was trying to make the sale.) Then the owner jumps in and gets a bit p***y because I used his name, incorrectly. Sorry, buddy. No, I never met you or spoke with you... but you are ....the OWNER... you know? I apologize that I said your name instead of the manager. But again, you are the owner of the business, and it is your name attached to it... but, still I do sincerely apologize. In my last response to the BBB, I told them that I rejected their conditions, and therefore the offer. I told the BBB (and the LRG management) that they could contact me directly to further discuss this... Here we are nearly a year later and still nothing. So much for their customer service. So much for valuing their customer relationships. So much for standing behind the products that they sell. The more that I think about this, the more I am inclined to think they knew the car was about to take a massive dump, and therefore were happy to dump it on someone. Unfortunately (for me), that someone was me. Avoid, at all costs.

Ok, so I bought a car from Ron on November 1, 2016 but was slacking on posting a review til now…read more I contacted Ron at GT Cars Inc. in mid October, explained that at the time I was in an open bankruptcy looking for financing on one of his Subarus. He explained that he could work with me once the bankruptcy discharges and to call him once it does. Score 1 for GT Cars Inc. since Ron was straight up with me to wait until discharge (I had other places tell me they could help me only to be denied with multiple inquiries). Score 2, he was willing to let me take the vehicle to a mechanic for a pre-delivery inspection. I had been looking at a 2009 Subaru Outback on his site for the few weeks I had to wait until getting my bankruptcy discharged and was eager to come check it out. So late October I got the discharge and went to go see Ron and the Outback, which I wanted for our family rig. Good thing my husband measured our dog to make sure the cargo space would be tall enough for her to sit comfortably - because it was just barely too short. Other than that it was a great used vehicle with low miles and a clean, well service documented carfax and limited engine and transmission warranty. So once we knew the Outback was a no-go Ron saves the day by informing us that he has an 06 Forester in the back - right on! He wanted to make sure that we understood that it was not ready yet - and explained what still had to be done. We walked to where it was and even though it was dirty and the bumpers still had primer it was like the clouds opened and the harps started playing! Yay - it was exactly what I had been looking for, even better with Ron explaining that the head gasket had just been done and all the details that went with that! Absolute score! So after the weekend and waiting for proper documentation on my end and for him to finish getting the car ready, we were able to pick up the car. It cleaned up real nicely and besides minor expected things on a ten year old vehicle - I am super satisfied with the vehicle and the service we were given from Ron. Ron made all the difference in the world between other places that were willing to finance me. He was a professional, which is hard to find anymore. The manner in which he explained the vehicle as well as the condition and features of the vehicle itself also far exceeded any of the competitors' value on customer satisfaction. In the end, I didn't even get the pre-delivery inspection done by a 3rd party - I felt that confident about the car and GT Cars Inc. I am completely satisfied with the terms of the loan, down payment, monthly payment amount and the price he gave me. Interest is on the higher end of the competitors' but I was so impressed with Ron's straight forward professionalism and experience that interest was not a priority. He explained how to lower the interest rate in about a year after making on time payments. Awesome, Ron - we could use all the credit tips after the bankruptcy. Ron also reassured us that should we need any service we could come to him. I live about an hour drive away, but I know I will use him in the future. Thank you Ron! I highly recommend GT Cars Inc for your used car purchase. He even suggested a good spot to grab a bite nearby!

The price was good, but it had a whole center console missing, with a pillow cover. the screen was cracked. The headrests actually had screens in the back, 1 of them worked and the other didn't and he said that's why he had covered them up and didn't advertise the screens because 1 didn't function. Mind you, these may be flaws others are willing to look past, but I'm the type of person that wants quality. there was many more flaws in the interior that's to much to mention, and the exterior had dents that aren't noticeable in the pictures, the tires were super old, it had oil leaks, and like I said more things I won't mention, all minor things I guess but when u add it up it comes out to atleast 3k more.. His advertising makes it seem like the cars are nice, it isn't until you get there that the flaws are revealed. And I drove all the way down there from Indio. A lot of these reviews are great and everyone says how " honest " he is, but an honest person wouldn't falsely advertise. He didn't reveal how the car was " not perfect " in his words, until we got there. He seemed like a nice guy, even when my boyfriend and his dad were expressing their dislikes, Gil said how he didn't take it personally, that he isn't attached to these cars. needless to say, Gil blocked me on facebook after I decided not to make the purchase. So make sure if u guys are interested in cars from this place to take ur own mechanic and don't just buy impulsively because the prices are great but you get what u pay for

They're nothing but a really unorganized and messed up dealership.. horrible people work there.. we purchased a BMW there on July 1, DMV sent a letter in September stating that registration is expired. I contacted David and he said that they called the DMV. My son got pulled over and the police said that the registration has issues. To make things worse, the car is also a messed up car. I spent over $3k dollars to get that junk car fixed. They sold it broken and dangerous to drive. The mechanic that fixed it said the car had so many issues that everything must have been doctored to get the car on the lot to be on sale. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!
