Just came here today 8/8/26 to close out an account I no longer use and take out my money. I got in line, the person who spoke to me... attitude shifted right as I told her I needed to close my account. She said I had to wait for someone to help me close it so she put me on the virtual waiting list. I was next in line on the wait list (you can see your name in line on the live tv screen) but they called another person who was after me. Not sure if that was on purpose bc I was closing my account and they didn't think it was important so they skipped over me? Got in line at 10:18am and 25 mins later .... No one called my name. I got back in line, another teller helped me (a Hispanic man). I told him I had to go and wanted to just take out whatever money I had in the account and close it later when I have time to come back. He said he could just help me close it. So why didn't the first teller just help me close the account? These were both tellers. After he closed it and gave me my cashiers check, husband told me to just endorse it right then so we could go deposit it in my Capital one account. I grabbed the pen on the counter to sign and the teller told me to go do it somewhere else because he had to help other customer. lol!! You can't give me 10 seconds to simply put a signature on the check?? Obviously this was because I was no longer a member.... I have heard from others that customer services at OCCU branches have been going downhill. Today's interactions were very in line of that feedback. I've had car loans, savings accounts with OCCU in the past.... Never again after today. Good riddance. read more

I had been back and forth between this branch and the auto dealership 3 times in the last 2 days trying to finalize an auto loan. The first time i wanted to put a down payment through OCCU, but they couldn't take it. The 2nd day, i was told i needed to give the dealership a check for the auto loan and get the contract updated, but the dealerships check readers couldn't take the check. I came in today, June 26, to get the cashiers check, and as luck would have it, supervisor Myrna was able to deduct my down payment from the loan cost and give me cashiers checks for both! She was very helpful for me today, as the two teller's before who assisted me didn't have the authority to deduct my down payment. Thank you very much Myrna! read more

I called twice today and both times the wait time was over 60 minutes. I missed the call back and dialed the additional number that was given on the vm. That number also had a 60+ minute wait time. I again later 7PM and was told there was a 2-6 minute wait, I'm at 30 minutes wait time and counting, while typing this. What is going on? My credit card was denied twice today for the amount of $2.04 by the DMV. WHY? This is the worst customer service from a bank or credit union in my life and I'm 72. I'm going into the local branch tomorrow and give the manager a piece of my mind. As soon as I pick a new bank I'll withdraw all my funds. read more

I've been banking with this institution for approximately 10 years, have never owed them any money, and have always maintained my account in good standing. Despite this long relationship, I am now dealing with unacceptable service and what feels like complete disregard for customers. The issue started with Zelle. For the past six months, they have been unable to properly link my phone number to Zelle. Strangely, their system can send emails to me without issue, but cannot send basic verification texts to my phone. This has remained unresolved despite multiple attempts to fix it. What is even more frustrating is the lack of accountability and follow-through. I have been waiting weeks for a supervisor callback, yet I am repeatedly told supervisors "do not call customers back for these types of issues." Instead, my support tickets are closed with "email resolutions" that do not actually resolve anything. At this point, I am closing my account due to the ongoing technical failures and extremely poor customer service. After a decade of loyalty, this level of support is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to consider banking elsewhere. read more

We were members here for over 25 years. It kept going downhill year after year. The family feel left long ago. After messing up our account utizing third party vendors for ATM and other items we left. No one seemed to know what was going on and too much red tape. Today I went in to deposit checks into another credit union. I was told they don't do that anymore. Really? I though they were all linked (which they are). After asking what my options were, the teller told me I could do this at the ATM outside but not inside. WTF?? Silly rule and another reason to stay away from this credit union. FYI - The one located on Yorba Linda is way better but the same silly rules apply. With all of the homeless in this area and parking lot, they should have people do as much business inside as possible for safety. Bottom line - Take your money, car loans and investements elsewhere. read more

I love, love, love the OC Credit Union in Fullerton. The manager, Luis, is super helpful, professional, efficient and just plain nice. He always has a smile on his face and knows what he is doing. I have been a member of this bank for over 15+ years. I NEEDED to dispute a charge that was posted as "audible" from washington Park? Card had to be canceled & a new card will be sent out. I requested an express delivery since I am a senior & live on a fixed income, caring for a senior bed ridden patient. They want to charge $10, ABSURD, or I can go into one of their branches. I live in the northwest san fernando valley & the closest branch office would be long beach California, over 50+ miles at $5.19 a gallon of gas + the stress of traffic.
