When I respectfully asked to see the policy being referenced, I was told she did not have to provide it. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially from someone in a leadership role. For a bank with the reputation of JPMorgan Chase, I expected a higher level of customer service, communication, and accountability. I couldn't have been happier or recommended them enough, up until the last few years. The good: Pleasant employees when doing business in person. Seems to be financially strong and long standing. The bad: Rates are rarely competitive. I had a horrible telephone customer service experience from someone that couldn't have cared less. When the inquiries were going nowhere, I asked him to connect me to my Concierge service and he acted like he had never heard of such a thing. I recently emailed the Concierge service to ask about a rate, and days later I'm still waiting for a response. What's the point of lying to your customers about having such a service? I have multiple financial institutions. I won't be closing this account but I will be taking a punishing amount of money out of Credit Union of Southern California. I recently moved and now go to this one. For 10 years, I've been depositing checks (my own or ones that have been endorsed to me). After my wedding, I deposited all checks into my account even though my husband's name is not on my account yet. Whether the checks were made out to him, to me, to both, or to either, I deposited them all. I've deposited checks from US Bank members or not who have endorsed checks to me. I deposited my husband's endorsed check into my account last week, which we have done several times. Without any warning, E-mail, phone call, or letter, US Bank took the money out of my account. I had no idea. All of a sudden my account is negative. I went in today, and the lady said they are not allowed to deposit any check into my account unless my name is on it. Two miles away, my mom went to a US Bank and handed the teller a personalized check made out to me and asked her to put it in my account, so she could help me get out of the negative that US Bank put me in, and the teller deposited the check!!!! How can one branch be so different from ALL other ones? And if this is true, and for ten years they have been breaking the rules for me, why didn't anyone tell me? I want to know the checks I put in the bank are legal, approved, following the rules and THAT I WOULD ACTUALLY GET MY MONEY. Why did no one notify me?! They just took the money out of my account to a loyal customer of ten years. They said hopefully the check comes back to me in the mail soon. Ya, I hope so too. It's been a week. I DO NOT bank with Wells Fargo, and I am NOT a customer of theirs in any way. I'm assuming scammers have gotten ahold of their number, or someone working there is harassing locals. When I finally answered the phone it absolutely someone from another country. Absolutely SPAM. I have since blocked this bank locations phone number. They should look into this asap or improve their security systems, very sketchy if scammers are tapped into their phone lines.

There is a verification of identity form I asked him to sign which just states my name, address and which ID, like my driver's license they verified and then the notary signs that. I buy about a house a month and have wells Fargo do the majority of my signings without any notary yet refusing to sign that, which he refused... Really annoying. He also didn't know you are able to sign the document beforehand for an "acknowledgment" form (can't for a jurat). He seems to not know what's hes doing and needs some basic training still. And I actually was planning on opening up a business line of credit with Wells Fargo. Hopefully within the next week or two. I was going to chat with him about it, And apply. Definitely not now, Wells Fargo still has a long way to go to get comparable to chase with their business acumen.
