This is one of those times where I could've sworn I'd already reviewed this. This branch is pretty big, however there are no drive thru atms, so you do have to go inside or use the outdoor atm. I was able to get in and out fairly quickly and easily yesterday, and was greeted upon entering. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. I had a very disappointing experience at the Chase Bank location. I was attempting to cash a check and was told by the manager, Melissa, that due to the amount, it could not be processed unless I opened an account. What was most concerning was not the policy itself, but the lack of transparency and professionalism. When I respectfully asked to see the policy being referenced, I was told she did not have to provide it. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially from someone in a leadership role. For a bank with the reputation of JPMorgan Chase, I expected a higher level of customer service, communication, and accountability. Leadership sets the tone, and this interaction did not reflect the standard I would expect. I strongly encourage additional training around customer engagement and transparency. We walked in & there was only 1 other customer in the bank. Chris greeted us right away. We asked him a question & he cheerfully provided us with an answer. I guess we stumped the teller when we got to his window, because he reached out to Chris. Then, wouldn't you know it... it became busy. At least 4 people walked in, the mail was being dropped off, & FedEx had packages for them to sign for. Chris & the teller kept their cool & continued helping customers with a smile. Side note: A few weeks after this great experience at Chase bank, my friend told me she books flights & plans travel in the app. What?! Chase recently terminated both my business and personal accounts for no apparent reason. Through out this process Daniel and Mark were very helpful and considerate of my situation. Definitely of costumer services (something Chase needs to vet with their over the phone service agents) control needs to be the with boots on the ground. Came to this Chase to add my spouse to my savings account. There were three gentlemen sitting at desks doing nothing. We were greeted by the manager(?) and we let him know what we wanted to do. He walked over to all three of them then came came back to us and said "unfortunately they all have a really important meeting right now, so we won't be able to assist you, come back later". I usually have okay service here but today was horrible. Major attitude problem from Adrianna whom is a teller. She was not listening to anything I was saying and copped an attitude when I told her "give me a second please". Not sure if she's in a managerial position but that was horrible. Not setting a good example for anyone. I hope she reads this and if you do Adrianna, all I have to say is if you don't like your job, switch it. That is all and I said what I said. My wife and I recently acquired property in Big Bear with a home loan from Chase. David Halford was our loan adviser, and he did an incredible job! While the wait can be long, especially during peak hours, the customer service is exceptional. Kathy in Chase Private Client is just the best. She is very attentive and greets me or my wife even when We are are just waiting in the teller line. There's one ATM outside and 2 inside the lobby that require you to slide your ATM card to open the lobby door. I personally like that feature and feel a little more secure doing my ATM banking that way after hours. The location is good (right across from the mall) but parking can be a challenge and exiting the lot, especially to go back to Imperial, is a wait. So, no matter what, be it banking or leaving, there's a wait. read more

They aren't horrible, but I've already had such a bad experience with Chase the past few months, it didn't feel comforting when a lady brought me to her office to hope I was a "quick" help while checking out the door every 5 seconds for her client who had an appointment. It's one thing if you have an appointment, you don't have to try to get me out quickly or make me feel like I was not important...I even got scootched over to an empty cubicle to be on the phone with the credit card operator. RUDE Probably one of the rudest and aggressive Manager and Assistant Managers duos I have met in the banking industry. I can see how and why the teller is not trained properly. The teller told me there was a limit to cash a check. My check exceeded that limit. I told them that another 2 branches a few weeks ago told me the limit was 15 times higher. She said no. The limit is $2500. No explanation other than no. I asked for the manager. The manager saw the check and gave it to the Asst Manager to talk to me. She came out. She said exactly what the teller said "The limit is 2500." She didn't look up the account or anything. I was upset because I told her that's not what I was told from the other branches. She didn't look at the account. All she did was look at the check and tell me no. Her response was "I'm trying to help you." Ummm... NO. You are not. Helping me is not telling me No. Helping me is explaining why and/or getting the check cashed. Then the Manager came out. She was confrontational. All she said was No. I asked her if the other 2 branches are incompetent. She stumbled over that and of course said "I can't speak for them." She reiterated the limit was $2500. That's it. She also did Not look up the account - this is important to be explained. I then asked for her Regional Manager's Information. Her instinctive and quick reply was "No!" Why won't you give it to me? You won't give me your Regional Manager's Name and number? Say what? Then she realized that she should so she reluctantly and angrily said "I'm going to give it to you." Finally got it and now waiting for the Regional Manager to Call me. ***Checking the Account is important because apparently at Chase, each Business Account has certain cashing limits. XYZ Cleaners may have a $0 Cash Checking limit. ABC Cleaners may have an Unlimited Cash Checking Limit. DEF Restaurant may have a $10k limit. I learned this after calling another branch who patiently explained this to me. That is why it is important to look up each account. They could have explained this very simply to me instead of just trying to force feed "The Limit is $2500." While it's true for that account, it's not true for all accounts. read more

This reviews is based only on our church opening a business account with this bank. We had a really great experience with Stephanie the personal banker. She was very knowledgable and helpful in answering all our questions and getting us set up she even helped us count all our money before we deposited it. She also got us connected with the right people on how to pay our employees and about other legal matters. Website says to call to verify hours a notary is available. But there is no one to answer the phone. I called twice and you have to go through all the automated options before you are allowed to wait to speak to someone. It rings a bit, then recorded message says everyone is busy so call back later, goodbye and hangs up. Very poor service. read more

I happened to be around this area running errands and decided to make a quick stop at this branch.. Melinda Lopez was the representative assisting me and took great care of me.. My situation was a bit peculiar since I had left my debit card at home and I needed to get a cashiers check for a somewhat big amount, but Melinda from the start asked amazing questions and really worked on identifying me to make sure I was the person with transaction authority... Some people might find this annoying or inconvenient but Melinda handled the situation in a way that showed me how greatly chase cares to protect its customers. I rarely go to the branches as most of my banking I do online but I am extremely satisfied to know chase has amazing, well prepared and professional team members to both serve and protect customers. read more

I had called around 11 AM to noon to schedule an appointment to come in and close my checking account. I was told to come in at 3 PM as they were busy, so I came in at 3 PM only to have to wait 15 minutes before being told that they were probably going to have to make me wait until after closing to actually help me. The only nice thing about this branch was that they recommended I go to the other branch down the street to have my account closed after he suggested I come back on Monday and I explained to him that I cannot because I have work. While sitting in this branch, I even called the other branch and was told to come right on in for immediate help. I will not be back at this branch ever again for any reason. Why would you have me schedule an appointment for a later time and not even see me within an hour of that appointment time slot? read more

I was going to write a review to advise to make an appointment because we wasted an hour to add an owner to the account(we were the first one checked in), but according to other reviewer this happens even when you make an appointment. They will ask you the same questions every time you visit - if you own or rent, who you employer is, how much you make, if we are banking with other banks, which banks, how much we have in those banks, if we have an investment account with whom how much, if we have a retirement account with whom how much, who we have the mortgage account with and when we were hesitant to disclose all our finance to the bank, the banker said it is their policy and said it won't let him to move onto the next screen unless he filled in all the information. So unless you want get grilled with your financial information and give out how much you have total in the United States, stay away. read more

I've had nothing but friendly, helpful experiences here. My banker, Mark, is always so nice and very honest. Their exterior Atm is always working and niw it even gives out smaller denominations! I've only needed the inside teller once or twice and have had friendly tellers. The speed is about normal for any bank during busy times. read more

Can't believe this branch has such bad reviews, we've had nothing but A+++ service from here. Especially from Kathy! We opened all our accounts with her. It always take a long time but everyone is really nice here. We always have a really pleasant experience when dealing with anyone from this Chase branch as well as when I have to call for my Southwest Visa (through Chase) I think they recognize the importance of having customer service. This review is about chase in general, not this particular branch. My son wanted to deposit cash into my bank account. He was told they no longer accept cash. He has to write a check, get a cashiers check, money order or use an ATM card. The reason I was given was because they need to know where the money is coming from. There's a money laundering problem. REALLY??? I could maybe see that if someone was having large amounts of money being deposited into their accounts on a regular basis. In my case it was under $200.00 They coaxed him into opening a checking account, "it's easier to transfer money that way" I'm seriously thinking of finding another bank!!! read more

So I had to make a college student account because my old account was beginning to charge me $12 monthly for the service fee. We had an unpleasant experience with the Chase Bank in Fullerton (the one next to Ralphs), so we decided to try another branch. We walked in here, and after some waiting, we finally got to a banker named Mark Merz. It didn't take long before I realized that I liked him. He was fun, energetic, and loved a good conversation! Sure, he talked a little too fast, but he clearly knew what he was doing. It was thanks to him that we learned that we didn't have to cancel my previous checking account, and that he could simply convert it to another type of account. Overall, he's fun, he's pleasant to be around, and he was very helpful! I have high hopes that if I ever need help, I can always return to this branch, and I hope that I can rely on this man for help again! read more

Worst customer service ever. They do not return phone calls, and promise to get back to you the next day - and days go by before they bothered to call you! Do you not work with Debbie Flockhart or Steve Nelson in particular. They both lied to us and failed to make appropriate follow up. This is the worst Chase bank I've been too! I came in for notary service on a Tuesday and waited about 20 mins. before someone would greet me. Once she greeted me she advised me that the person who does the notary is not in today and will be in tomorrow. She offered to call another branch and check to see if they can do the notary for me but I decided to just come in the next day since I was on my lunch. Next day I walked in and waited another 20 min. before I was greeted again. (Annoying!!!) The woman who came over said that there was no notary for today (what the hell!!???) I then proceeded to tell her that I was advised the notary person would be in today. She cut me off and said "well people call in sick" wow rude much? I was really annoyed and left! Yesterday I was grocery shopping and when i was checking out I realized my wallet was missing I asked the nice lady at the Sprouts to hold my groceries and I would be right back with some cash. I drove to Chase bank and talk to a blonde lady who had dark rimmed glasses on. I know for sure she had blonde hair. I explained what happened and asked if I could get some cash. She said not without an ID but as a mom with small children this is not my first rodeo and before they have asked me a series of personal questions and I was able to get some money. So I told her this and she said no not unless we know who you are personally we can't give you access to your money. SO IF I LOSE MY WALLET AND ALL MY PERSONAL AFFECTS YOU CAN'T GIVE ME MONEY. No 'mam I'm sorry I can't. I walked away and got in my car and thought this can't be right and if it is we should change banks. So I drove to another chase location on Imperial and walked in and in less than five minutes I had my new debit card in hand to go and get my groceries. This place is a joke compared to other chase locations. They try really hard to give great customer service but what it really does is open the door for customers to do as they wish with them. My son was able to withdraw from my account simply by making a scene at the teller window. This was incredible. They pretty much just said ok here, now please leave. Who loses? The first teller stumbled around 15 minutes until I asked on of the 5 others standing around to help her. After 30 minutes of head-scratching by both of them I left without my bond.
