while attempting to deposit a check, the teller promptly informed there was a problem with the issuer of the check. the manager was summoned and stated he would assist. the manager, identified as Lamar, telephoned the check issuer and discussed the problem. Worst bank experience and worst Chase location. Chai Saechao was not helpful, rude, and uncaring. I would never go back to this location or do business with Chase again. I called this chase bank and spoke to Jean while sitting at the chase bank less than a mile away after I had booked an appointment. My original appointment was booked for 3 PM at the other branch but by 315 I was told that the wait might take me into after closing. I was advised to come here or I can choose to wait and still be seen so I decided to call in. Jean answered the phone immediately and told me to come right on over and she would help me out to close my account. She is by far one of the most friendliest bankers I have ever met! Even though I close my checking account, anytime I have any issue with anything related to my Chase credit card, I will definitely be back to this branch. Ps. Parking was zero issues. read more

Location does not have an outdoor ATM, possible for safety reasons. The one inside is adequate. I don't feel safe coming to this location at night, but day time is okay. In the lobby they need to have more ATM so you don't have to wait as long to get your cash. read more

I went in to this branch with my business partners to open a basic business account as we're starting a new company. The in branch business banker was busy so he said someone else can help us. We were referred to Tiena Nguyen and her title is Relationship Manager. This is where the service got really bad! What should have only taken 10 mins she claimed that it would take an hour and just blew us off and told us to come back later. This is because we are a new small business and evidently she was too important to spent 10 mins to create our small account. My partner knew she was blowing us off because he use to be a RM for Chase as well. Anyway the branch I guess is ok but this one experience with this Tiena Nguyen was disappointing. read more

I know banks aren't something that we yelp about , BUT... when the customer service is spot on every time I've come to this location that deserves 4 stars! Its funny because in Anaheim Hills there's a Chase every 2 miles but once you take the Imperial ramp to get to Brea there isn't one until you get here! The parking can be tricky since its in a busy shopping center with Albertson's and a Slotzsky's Deli next door. Once you get in line they come to greet you and see if there's something they can help you with and not nagging you to see if you have an account or get you a credit card with them. The staff is consistent with their customer service. They genuinely have good attitudes and smiles with each customer they deal with. I never have to wait in line less than 5 minutes and I'm in and out of the bank very fast. The Chase locations in AH are okay but I think this one is pretty darn good! We always come here when we're on the way to Walmart across the street or going to the mall since the Chase across the mall is HORRIBLE! Good customer service makes me a happy yelper ^_^ read more

I really recommend this chase bank of probably one of the best in this area of Orange County. I only know this branch and various ones in Newport Beach at the coast. All the bank tellers here are helpful and friendly, and so are all the Bankers at the desks and the Investment Advisor Banker. I recommend coming in at off hours or slower times if you need more advanced help and questions. I had ridiculous rough experiences at the credit union nearby with the branch manager, so I can always rely on this Chase for a way better experience. I have been with Chase for the past 3 years. I also bank with another bank as well. Out of the 2 banks I prefer my other bank bc I walk in there more and they know me by name. My account here is direct deposit so I really don't need to go in unless I want a roll of quarters for the beach or I have a customers check to cash. Every time I come I must pick the wrong time bc I have always waited a while. Hmmm, maybe given the small size they figure they don't need all windows open during busy times. I'm going to start using a different branch. I'll let u know. LOL! read more

I usually stop by the Chase on Tustin before I make my "rounds", but this one is closest to where I needed to go next. This is a small location, not many tellers working at once. There were probably 10 of us in line at one time while other employees milled around the office space. Can't complain.. got in, got my money, got out with no hassle. I will probably go back next month when I need to be in that area. read more

I walked in to this branch to cash two checks and waited in line for 10 minutes. The teller Adrian was incompetant and asked for my ID after I had swiped my ATM card. Then he started defacing and marking up the back of my checks. Then he told me to wait. I had already waited for 5 minutes and told him to give me my checks back. Then I asked Ryan Colores where was the next nearest Chase bank and told him what was going on. He said they always ask for a ID which is bogus and refused to tell me the nearest branch. Three weeks ago, I asked for some coins and encountered another issue at the same branch. They said those coins were reserved for VIP customers. I have contacted James Dimon and he has passed the ball to Jimmy Laguna. Jimmy stated he will look into this. More to come with an update once I hear from Jimmy to see what he will do what my defaced checks and will wait for him to obtain those coins for me. read more

Warning: "Chase Banks gives counterfeit money" I just had an experience with this bank. I've been with this bank for a long time and now I'm a victim of counterfeit money. I withdraw money ($100 bill was given) from Chase bank in La Mirada branch last April and re-deposit the same money in Brea branch and was told that one of the bill was counterfeit. Unbelievable you may say but it happened. Thinking about it, banks are the only one where we can get $100 bill. I'm not into business that I deal with cash, I'm only an employee who withdraws money and spend it. Think about it, when you go the get cash back or get money from ATM, the biggest bill you will get is a $20 bill, so with that analogy, where do I get $100 bill, of course from the bank. They say that the money coming from the counting machine are legal, but why did a counterfeit money got included. So their machines are not accurate. So to cut the story short, I got screwed by the bank for $100 and not knowing what's gonna happen next as they can only say "sorry". To me, it's not about the money, it's the principle that banks should check their counting machine as you all know they are only machine and can break down. Very disappointed and rest assure I will make sure that every withdrawal I do, I'll make sure that their legal tender. Hopefully a warning to everyone. read more

My six weeks with Chase were absolutely horrific and created an enormous amount of stress in my life. The account opening process at this branch was relatively pain free but what happened a month later was bad...very bad. I attempted to use my debit card to rent a U-haul as I was moving from Northern Cal back to Orange County. My card was declined although I had plenty of funds in my account. I called Chase and was told my account was put on suspension due to a report they received from ChexSystems showing an old rent check that had bounced but was paid by my prior bank. I was instructed by loss prevention to resolve the debt owed with my prior bank, obtain a letter of clearance from the bank and fax it back to Chase. I did as was instructed and obtained a letter from my prior credit union's home office stating the account was paid with no additional issues. Letter was faxed to Chase. I called Chase back to also advise them that I had a car payment that would be going through. The LP rep stated that any automatic payment (debit) would not be paid on a restricted account and that I could withdraw funds from the branch to make other payment arrangements; so I did exactly that and sent a money order to my lender. The next day my Chase account was negative the amount I withdrew. Apparently, Chase did process the car paymnet, lol. I called back again and spoke to LP and I was told the info I was provided was not correct and she would "talk" with that rep as there were notes in their system indicating what that rep had told me. Then, Loss prevention then told me I needed a "letter of deletion" from ChexSystems showing the debt was cleared and that the credit union letter was not satisfactory despite that was exactly what Chase instructed me to get. I called ChexSystems and was informed it could take 10 business days for them to receive the updated information. I called Chase and spoke to loss prevention again. This loss prevention person advised me that Chase would close my account, period, because a ChexSystem flag stays on for 7 years and Chase could not keep an account open on anyone that had a negative Chex report.. I explained that I had been jumping through hoops as instructed by Chase to get this taken care of. The rep then stated the account would be closed immediately and there was nothing else they could do for me. Just like that, she closed my account..period. She was very curt and treated me like garbage actually. Meanwhile, they had also been sitting on a direct deposit from my employer that they claimed was rejected. My employer never received any information on this and I even faxed Chase a letter from my employer verifying the account info, date of the deposit, and amount. I was then on hold with the ACH department, then loss prevention again...about 45 minutes. Then amazingly, they "found" the deposit. You gotta be kidding me?? They will absorb the overdraft owed and send me the remaining amount in ten business days. I said fine, do what you gotta do and lets get this done once and for all. This was absolutely the worst banking experience of my life. And I even had Bank of America! Number 1: They should have notified me immediately of my account status instead of me being blind-sighted at the retailer with a declined card. Number 2: They need to have a standard protocol in cases like this instead of telling me several different and conflicting things to do. It wasted my time and theirs. If they were intending to close my account, simply tell me why and when and be done with it! Absolutely miserable experience with Chase. Please do not bank with this institution and avoid them at all costs. read more
