I am so struggling to pay my rent after losing my job. This Bank saw my desperate situation and truly stepped up and went above and beyond the rules to help me. I've been to quite a few Chase banks, as I have lived in multiple states now in the USA and Chase branches feel like they're everywhere. It baffles me that the people in this area aren't aware that they can use their cell phone's NFC capability to effectively badge into the door after hours to use the ATM. Or that they can use their cell phone literally at the ATM. Just enable Android/Apple Pay, load your Chase card on there, and wave your phone at any Chase ATM or Chase door card reader and voila -- stuff happens. You never should have to take your ATM / debit card out at a Chase bank ever again. But it seems every time I come to this Chase bank and have a conversation with the person behind/in-front-of me in line, they're just shocked. Anyway, this bank's parking sucks, the parking lot comes up to the bank but there's a curb that blocks you off, so if you suck at parking (not me for the record) then I end up having to wait for you to figure out your 27-point turn to get out of the lot while I wait for your spot. Otherwise, this Chase Bank does everything it should do. Self-service terminals inside the bank, 2 ATM's behind a door that is locked after hours (again, which you can use your NFC-enabled smart phone to unlock with Android/Apple Pay), what's more to ask for?

On 6/25/24 I went to this branch to close my account and they would not credit me the interest that I had earned for the month of June telling me that I have to wait until the statement period closes on 06/30/24 to earn the interest for June. Never have I closed a liquid savings account and been penalized in this manner. The teller and manager were not helpful at all and turned me away. When I called the customer service number they just wanted to transfer me back to the branch and were of no help. Although Pacific Western Bank and Banc of California have merged, I have received the welcome package in the mail along with emails about routing numbers, nobody at Banc of California wants to be bothered with my concern.
