This review is way over due, so when I first moved to the OC, as a part time student and employed full time I struggled to make ends meet as I proudly paid for all my prerequisite classes, books and any and all materials. Not cheap but so glad I did or I'd be part of that huge percent of young adults finishing college in debt. Every time I found myself in a penny pinch I'd head over to this location, and for me it was always enough to get me by. But that's not why I wanted to review this location. The customer service by each one of the ladies is amazing. Yes faces have changed but the customer services stays the same. I came in yesterday for a money order, once a member, your membership continues and money orders are free for all members a bonus plus. As I patiently waited in line I reminisced to myself about all the times before that I would come in for a loan I could hear the conversations of those already at the front of the line speaking to one of the ladies and I could see their interaction and reactions and I remember my interactions in my experiences each time when it was me at the front. When you walk into this location you get this scent of a clean Febreze I think it's Hawaiian scent but it smells so nice the place is always clean everything very well organized the ladies have this great customer service great phone etiquette and I really wish that whoever is training or hiring them, if there's a customer service tape out there please make that go viral so many of us could use it including me sometimes. Also they do go out of their way to try to please the customer they have other options for you to go around things you can get a loan online and like I said before money orders to all members are free but they do other stuff too. This place doesn't even deserve a star. Poor service. They should ban these stores. All the sudden the same bank account I have been using for over 2 years with them is not good enough for them. I have been with Wells Fargo bank for over 5 years and all my payments to speedy cash have always been in time. Every time I go into this location they always give me a hard time but yet have no problem funding the money. Today they say they can't do it. You would think after so many years of loyalty and paying on time they would be understanding. Now all the sudden they can't do it. Shame on them. They lost my business. The lazy fat women behind the counter are always on the phone while helping me and are breaching my confidentially information to customers on the phone. The woman that work there are nice. But this company is a joke! If you go through their app beware the times are Eastern standard Times and if you chose to pick up in store they will not let you. Also since I had a bad experience on the app I went in store this time and they couldn't let me get a loan because my online loan didn't get to them yet as a repayment even though it already cleared and processed through my bank. I've been trying to pay off the loan that I took out from here from 2018. They literally make it seem like it'll be fast and easy payments. I was paying over 400 dollars a month!!!! I regret coming here so much! I have a friend who works at a speedy cash and she told me that they scam people out of there money! It's ridiculous!!!! Walked in to get a money order, it was packed because it's Friday and a holiday weekend so I waited in line for about 15min and when I finally got to the window they said they were out of money orders. How does a place that mainly deals with cash and money orders on a daily basis run out? Shouldn't you be stocked up on that type of thing since that's a part of your business? If you're out of money orders you should probably mention that to people as they're walking in so they don't have to wait for nothing. My card was in bad shape when I went in and I was having trouble getting a loan online. I explained to them why I really needed the loan and how I couldn't get it through the online service. They went above and beyond, trying and trying to get the machine and computer to read my troublesome card and eventually got it to go through! I was so happy they tried so hard for me. I arrived at the Speedy Cash location on Raymond Street in Fullerton CA. Upon arrival there was one girl at the counter who waived for my attention saying that she could help me. I told her that I needed to cash a payroll check. As I gave her my check she immediately said that she is going to call my company and that bank to verify funds as if the check was fake. I then explained that my corporate office is closed on Sundays as is any large corporation. She then proceeded to ask for my office number. I explained again that we are closed on Sundays . She then said then we cannot help you. Then continued to explain that because the check is over $1000 she would have to verify it with both the company and the bank which is completely understandable. The part that I don't understand is that it was only over $1000 by .23 cents. Thats just ridiculous that your associates would turn away business over .23 cents. Then after, the girl who was helping me called over her manager and whispered to her thinking that I didn't hear "this check has been here before" even saything that it was recent and that its been there many times before. I am assuming that means that someone who works for the same company, with the same check, and same bank has cashed their check there before. What kind of company is this? Wouldn't that have meant that they have verified funds with the company and the bank before?? The manager proceeded to ask if she can make a copy of my check and ID. I refused and left the location. Not only this this situation make my feel very uncomfortable because there were people around. It made me feel that based on how terrible my first experience was at one of your stores, that I would never return in the future. I wonder of those girls really understand how they can affect people with their attitudes and actions. I hope that someone actually takes the time to read about my situation and takes proper action. read more

I've had many experiences here with people that weren't knowledgable on what they are saying and not trained to understand how loans work. I've encountered many issues being told different things on the same loan. I have spoken with a lady named Katherine? I believe that is how her name is spelled she is the first clerk at this location to help me understand in a matter of 20minutes exactly what I need to know with amazing customer service. I have a better solution to my loan and understand completely how it works because of her knowledge and her being able to help another individual understand how a certain loans works. When any other teller couldn't explain the exact same topic with in an hour and I still would have been left in limbo. Thanks to Katherine I can pay my loan faster and now understand how budget it in my monthly expenses with the correct information. I give her as an employee of speedy cash 5 Stars but due to the other staff not knowing anything at all or how to explain in a correct way also giving me false information I have to rate this location at 2 Stars. On 9/2/2018, I decided to apply for a $5000.00 loan with Speedy cash so I went down to the Speedy Cash in Fullerton, CA to apply. The reason I chose this branch is because over the past 4 years I've always been approved for the $5000.00 loan with no problems. Over the past 4 years I received 4 loans for $5000.00 and paid them all off giving me an excellent pay history with them. On 9/2/2018 I applied and was denied for the first time with no credible reason why. My income has gone up, my employment status hasn't changed, my credit score was higher, and given the fact that I was a past client with a excellent pay history it should have been very easy for me to get the loan but it wasn't. After confronting the rep. who was helping me she couldn't give me an answer to why I was denied, so she told me to contact the branch in Kansas, which I did. After contacting them they stated I was denied because I didn't have a history with them and I replied I've taken 4 loans from you guys over a period of 4 years and paid them all off, what you mean I don't have a history with you, I replied that can't be the issue. Then she said mentioned length of time my other accounts were established, I said those credit card accounts were all open well before I ever took out my very first Speedy Cash loan and you guys knew it because you ran my credit report every time I got a Speedy Cash loan, so that can't be the issue. Then she said you have to many consumer finance accounts, I said I don't have any consumer finance accounts, so what are talking about. I'm in the finance business I know what's on my credit report and what debt I have and I don't have a consumer finance account. These people have no idea what they're approving nor can they give you a credible answer on why your denied. I haven't obtained any new credit from the last time I obtained a Speedy Cash loan. On top of that the Fullerton office ran my credit report twice in the same day after I told them not to which now dropped my credit score even lower. So let me recap, I applied for a loan with Speedy Cash that approved me 4 times before and denied me today and not give me a strait answer to why I was denied and then they ran my credit report twice in one day which now has dropped my credit score down about 20 points. If this is how they treat all their past clients then I don't ever want to do business with them again. Bad service, no knowledge of their job, a complete waste of time, and now screwing up my credit with a 20 point loss. Extremely BAD company to work with. Stay away!!! read more
