Great Location, Cars look beautiful and the process was simple, Andres was nice to speak and deal with as well. OverAll, first impression was still better than most smaller owned dealerships .... However, bought a 2014 truck w/ 94k miles, $3700 down... and less than 60 days later, realized it needed a 3k TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY (A new transmission was recommended even), Drive shaft and Fuel pump module. The truck was never serviced either, needed an oil change, front brakes and alignment (small things that I can take care of anyways) Reached out to the dealership in good faith to see if they'd help in one way or another, wasn't expecting the repairs to get completed all by them but who knows.... I was referred to a shop for it to get checked out and they found nothing wrong with the transmission I guess, being so busy, I took time to see another person yet one month after their referral, the check engine light went on and boom, there indeed was a transmission issue. The dealership and 3 other shops all quoted total repairs at $4k to $6k in repairs, or more if I replace the transmission. Side note: Before I realized the issues in my truck, I did refer a friend to the place too and they noted that the cars they checked up on did seem like they needed maintenance too, again, small problems but something to note Can't say you all will have this experience but do carefully examine your vehicles, CAREFULLY, before signing those papers! This has been an EXPERIENCE in my books TWO stars instead of one, since I know the salesman and office staff there definitely deserve some credit I put this review on Google and Yelp since I feel it's important everyone hears me out on this honest review AND YES, I HAVE INVOICES AND RECEIPTS AND PROOF IF ANYONE DOUBTS THIS REVIEW. read more

So I needed some DMV forms completed by speedway auto and they were able to get them to me quickly and without any trouble. I was expecting to wait at least a few days and all the while hope I don't get pulled over for expired tags but they were able to help me right away. I found my car on craigslist.org then followed the link to the homepage website. I thought, "There's my car!" The next day I called the listed number. Alex answered the phone and confirmed the car was still there [waiting for me... (my own private thought)]. He also confirmed the price and answered all my questions. Although, my questions were probably basic, simple and completely expected. ... but that doesn't matter! He still took the time to chat with me. I thought the best advice he gave me was regarding insurance. Alex told me I should have insurance ready if I want to drive the car off the lot that night. Well, I did want to drive it off the lot that night. It was my car and I knew it. I did not wait; I made a decision. That car was mine, so I called my-soon-to-be insurance company and asked about insuring a car I don't actually own... yet. We just treated it as if I did. Because Speedway Auto has the VIN and the odometer reading listed I was able to insure "my" car and everything Speedway Auto would need was emailed to me. 'My' car was now insured I just needed to go find out if I even qualified to have it financed. I'm crazy; I'm aware! I found their little mom & pop location. *I love Mom & Pop stuff! I walked up and a couple of people were chatting...one happened to be Alex. He shook my hand, and before long I was given the key to test drive!!! Although, truth be told. I didn't need to do that either. I'm just that kind of person who will purchase a car without ever seeing it. It's weird for people; I know. It's weird for the dealer too. I had fun driving it and checking things out. When I got back I had more fun looking under the hood, finding all the secret compartments, and getting a great advice from Alex's co-worker about this stuff called Lucas and he just gave me a brand new bottle for 'my' car! GREAT COSTUMER SERVICE, terrible car :( Today is October 11th, we bought our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee in March. We bought it from Alex. He was super nice, walked us through our first car buying experience and everything was great!The staff was great and extremely helpful. However, within the first couple of days, the check engine light turned on! They offered to pay to get it fixed at the Jeep dealership. Which we were fine with... but 5 months later in August, ended up stranded because the car wouldn't turn on. Turns out we need to replace the alternator and battery! In addition, we were told the air conditioner had been taken to get fixed before we bought it and turns out it hadn't. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Also, the windows would roll down randomly and it seemed that the car had general electrical issues because the aux cord/ charging ports didn't work either... We feel like we just ended up in a bad deal. The staff was super sweet but I think their costumer service blinded us from a garbage car. They sent me a birthday card which was nice but it doesn't pay for all the money we're having to put into it this nightmare car. read more

Well as my family has increased in size ( just had a baby boy ) I stumbled into this great little used car dealership. I dealt with john and alex. and they obtained me a great finance rate, and a really good used Toyota mini-van Toyota Sienna. I found the Sienna on Craigslist in san diego, and drove to fullerton. They let me have it inspected by my mechanic in San Diego ! and made me a great deal. thousands less than almost every other used sienna i saw in san diego. It was definitely worth the drive. Hey Zo B. Did you check out Consumer Reports before buying a BMW740? It's all black dots. Probably the worst car in the world to buy. Of course your mechanic will blame them. He/she works for you. If you would have checked out the car before you bought it I'm sure you would not of been disappointed. You would've been smart and walked away but Car Buying is emotional. This is the second car I bought from this dealership. They are pleasant and forthright. Jenna (?) brought to my attention an accident on the Carfax report. Also the owner is willing to deal with me on tires and repairs. My advice is cut your dealer break. The car is what it is. Do your homework. Do your mechanical checks and Car fax and then deal at fair price. The prices are on the low end of Dealer Retail or below (kbb and edmunds) My only nit-pick is their offices are a bit shabby. I purchased a used vehicle from Speedway Auto 2 weeks ago. I had been hunting a used Lexus RX 330 for weeks and I had already test driven several. Each time, I had conversations with the sellers and dealerships. My experience with Speedway Auto far surpassed that of the other dealerships I had previously visited. First of all, the man who answered the phone was friendly and extremely helpful. I told him I would be coming from Los Angeles the next morning and that I was without vehicle so I wasn't sure how long it would take me. He quickly offered train options for me and even offered to have someone come pick me up from the station to bring me to the dealership if need be. I was blown away by this courtesy. In the morning, Alex called me to confirm I would be coming to see the vehicle. Again, an extra step in service that I very much appreciated. When I arrived, the car was as the picture promised, in excellent condition. I knew right away this was the car I had been searching for. Alex was very friendly in person as well and quickly got the keys ready for a test drive. I was able to take the car to a mechanic down the street who gave her a big thumbs up. Alex also provided all the car facts and assured me that Speedway Auto does a thorough job in ensuring they have quality used cars on their lot. I could tell that each car had been checked out and taken care of. I was happy to put an offer on this car and promptly signed her into my life:) I named her Maggie. It's been two weeks now and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I feel confident that I got a great car for a great deal and wasn't taken advantage of in any way. Bad place to "try" to do business with. I was trying to finance a car (Mazda RX-8) and was given the run around. I was told I needed to put 1,000 down and I also needed a co-signer based on my credit score. Well after running mine and my co-signers credit, they now wanted 3,800 down. Prior to that response they told me the bank supposably take forever to get back to you for approvals and such. Well it took days, I really mean days. I called time and time again to see how the bank approval was going, because I was not being updated and all they can tell me was that they are still waiting. This took 2 days in total and the result was what I stated early about a bigger down payment. I never seen or heard of a bank taking that long, its either yes or no, about 30 mins or so tops. They should not make guesstimates they are unsure about. Alex was the one who originally told me what I needed to do to get the car and I did them all. Only thing I got out of it was wasting my time and a waste of running mine and my co-signers credit. Alex was also suppose to call me back because he was going to try and talk to the bank to see if we can work out a 2,000 dollar down payment. But he never called me back that day, and the next day he was off. I honestly think that for whatever reason they personally did not want to sell me the car. I would just avoid this place and try and stick to a dealership more honest and professional. For whatever excuse they try and reply with don't believe it. This is why yelp exists to help others look for good businesses to go to. This however is not one of them. I'm taking my business someplace else or buying it from an owner. *Update: I now own a Mazda RX-8 a week from this review. That I purchase from another dealership for about roughly the same price, mileage etc. I offered the same negotiation with them and walked out with it; on my own, no co-signer, no hassle.
