My wife and I bought a car from this dealer a couple of weeks ago and we wanted write a fair review for the next buyer. We had read terrible reviews on yelp about the general qualities of their car and their car salesman so we were a little bit skeptical going in. However our experience was a little bit different the pros: 1. the car was in fantastic condition (the interior and the exterior looked brand new) 2. They seem very willing to work with you on any budget. 3. They serviced the car (oli changes and minor fixes) before we bought it 4. They let us drive the car over to our local mechanic who was a block away ( we were very pleasantly surprised that they let us take the car over there) 5. we were in and out pretty fast the cons: 1. The sales person spoke too fast and left little room for questions (though he did answer everything) 2. Make sure that you get all the work that is needed done before you take the car, they are not very reliable afterwords. Do not leave with the statement from the sales person saying that he or she will get back to you about something after you buy the car, they are not good at getting back to you. 3. during the sigining process our salesman was rarely in the room which left little to no time to ask any questions, luckily we wrote them down and asked as he popped in from time to time. So overall the buyer should do all the research they can about the car they are buying. Do not take any dealerships words, before taking the car to a mechanic that you trust. If you buy a car without thorough inspection, that is the buyers fault at that point, unless they flat out lied to you. I would recommend buying from this dealership after a thorough research on a specific car. Overall our experience was not as bad as the review claim it to be. read more

Don't waste your time. They post good-looking cars at good prices on sites such as autotrader and cars.com. The problem is, they don't even have these cars on their lot and just use the ads to bait you into coming. If you call they don't tell you this either. When you get to the lot, bro-dudes come out and tell you how a similar year/model car is "just as good". If I wanted a similar car, I wouldn't have driven 45 minutes to see the exact one you had posted. Take your business to a legitimate dealer that doesn't play these games. Who knows how you're treated after the sale... read more

This place has nice cars don't get me wrong but the way the sales people treat you and talk to you is very un professional, make you feel like what they have is to good for you! Completely rude and dis couraging, my biggest pet peave there sales people have no idea what they are talking about when trying to sell you a car ! I was told a truck has a 15,000 dollar lift kit I'm sorry but I know my trucks and there is no such thing, they should read up on their cars and trucks before feeding you lies! I will tell you cypress motors is a branch of their dealership and cypress is the place to go they great you so kind and work with you to get you the best deal! read more

I bought a vehicle about 4 months ago. This is my 6th car and I've worked in the luxury automotive industry for many many years now so my vehicle and dealership knowledge and expectations are far above the average car buyer. I had a TERRIBLE experience at Glendale Mitsubishi the previous evening. After driving 400 miles, going back and forth with them, and having an awful experience I was exhausted and didn't really want to buy a car. Friday morning I was still in bed and on Auto Trader. Fullerton had just posted the exact vehicle I was looking for, lower miles, and priced perfectly. I contacted them online and honestly was being pretty rude and blunt because I didn't expect anything good after what happened the night before. I was promptly emailed back and the salesman (who's name escapes me...) was SO helpful. He told me before anything he would go drive the car, take pictures of any issues and report back to me his honest opinion so that my time wouldn't be wasted. WOW! I was already impressed. Promptly 20-30min later I got a call back and him stating the car was beautiful and he told me the small flaws he noticed. (i'm still in bed. 400+ miles from this dealership) Over the rest of that day from the comfort of my home we COMPLETELY worked out a fair deal with my trade and worked out numbers. From the comfort of my own home! Fullerton Auto Square made my car buying experience exceptional. I drove up there at 9pm that night and they had all the numbers set up perfectly, finance all printed out, I drove & inspected the car, they looked at my trade and I was out in 30 MINUTES!!!! No joke. They were AMAZING. Brady was the manager I met when I came in and it just so happened we both were from Seattle and he was just a great guy. Oh one last thing... I took their word and their service departments word that the vehicle was in perfect working order. I'm ALWAYS skeptical about this... I ended up moving shortly after back to Seattle and didn't have time to get my own inspection. I just got my first oil change and they inspected the car and everything is like new they told me. New brakes, new tires, EVERYTHING was green! These people are HONEST, HELPFUL, HARD WORKING AND CUSTOMER ORIENTED! That is EXTREMELY hard to find at a used car dealership. I would definitely buy another car from them! read more

I just wanted to start by saying MARCO B thank you so much for your wonderful customer services such a great salesman he was very helpful every question I had he answered with no hesitation he was very professional I will definitely recommend my family/friends if your looking for someone who will help you find the perfect/economic car go to MARCO you won't regret it. read more

So I got my last car taken by the co-signer who co-signed with me because I had lost my job and wasn't able to make the payments. I had just started a new job 2 weeks prior to coming to this dealership. I was referred to them by an ex co-worker. Danny was the one who answered when I called in regards to the car I was interested. He said he would go check for me and then gave me a call back soon after that. Unfortunately, the car I was interested in was way too far out of my price range but he said he would help me get a car and work with my through my situation. I went there the next day with my new co-signer and they helped me get approved for a car and as long as I was able to bring my down payment by the end of the first month I was free to take the car. He helped me so much. This was a year ago and I have had NO PROBLEMS with my car whatsoever. I definitely recommend this place to anyone (: read more

We called asking if a specific white Toyota Tacoma 4wd was available. They said it was and to come on down. Got there within 15 mins and what a surprise, it was no longer available but 'they were happy to show us other options'. If a customer takes the time to call and check up on a specific car, why bother lying? Seriously you car dealerships are so damn sleazy, you'll wouldn't know what honesty was if she put her boot up your ass. read more

If you cone here to get a car make sure you drive it a couple miles and inspect it well. As of for the sales staff (Danny) don't talk to him, nothing but fake promises about fixing broken parts. If Nything is broken make sure it is written on paper that it will be fixed. And if he asks you to take friends or family for a $100 referral don't count on ever getting that money either. read more

Eddie was very helpful when I went in to check out a few cars they had on their lot. They have a wide selection of luxury vehicles. Eddie was quick to answer my questions and I was test-driving the vehicle in no time. Unlike other places that want to get you inside their offices. He pumped gas for me and then I was on my way to do as I pleased. The offices were a bit claustrophobic and run down but the showroom looked nice. I did not purchase a vehicle but the sales guys were not misleading. (Or so I think) read more

First of all I'm a NO BULLS*IT kind of buyer I don't have the best credit but deal in cash . And Im calling out LILLY!!!!! and her management team from Auto Republic they seemed nice at first I wanted a car and wasn't approved for the one I wanted . She approved me for a different amount I specifically told her 2000 down on a 9000 dollar car at 250 a month . Super reasonable and an easy sell . After 15 pointless emails she comes back with 3000 down at 250 a month ?!?! Was she not listening at all . Not to mention she said in an email (Well you said you had 5000 to put down ) UNBELIEVABLE !!!! It doesn't matter how much money I have I wanted 2000 no more no less I guess money is there main objective I hope this message finds them well . My experience at AR was top notch. I was contacted about my prospective vehicle a couple times through email and finally set up an appointment with Chris. I got to the dealer and actually looked at two cars. One BMW in somewhat rough shape and the Taurus Sho. Chris helpfully mentioned how older European cars could have quirky issues and led me to my second car, the Taurus SHO. He was as excited as I was about it and quickly set me up for a test drive. I asked if I could get on the gas just a bit and he was totally cool with it. I fell in love with the SHO. After the test drive, we went in to talk numbers. That process was smooth as the rest. I had to figure a way to get my money from my bank, USAA, which has no physical locations and was having a pain of a time. Chris was understanding and kept in contact helping the whole time until the problem was figured out. He also did a spectacular job detailing my car. It looked brand new on pickup day. On my drive home, I noticed a check engine light come on. I scanned the code(not present during the test drive) and sort of panicked. No biggie though as when I mentioned it to Chris, he assured me he would make sure the right folks took a look at it. Additionally, my positive battery terminal was the most corroded I'd ever seen on a vehicle. He insured the terminal got cleaned, the battery replaced and even paid for the Ford OEM terminal connection to be replaced. And that was out of his own pocket too!!! Chris really took care of me and my car. He was very professional and calm too. He gave me one of my best car buying experiences to date. If you want a no-pressure and straight to business sale, Chris at AR is your man. He really looks out for his clients, probably more so than any other salesman I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Thank you so much Chris and keep being awesome, it is very much appreciated!!! read more

Called over a month ago in regards to a Vehicle (they still have!) Got the run around multiple times about how they would call me back. When I called many days later to see what was going on, I was told that "The customers that are in the store, like now, are more important then the ones that are not, you know?" WHAT!!?? Ok, I will give them a few more chances because they do have the Car I want. Call number 2 to THEM, got the run around again, never got a call back and had to call them again saying I was expecting a call from A**** before they closed for the day about the fininacial situations for the vehicle, The guy didn't seem to care and was more focused on going home for the night. Never called back that night. Call 3, again, I had to call them. Apparently the guy who was helping me had the next few days off, and was told I will be receiving a call when he's back.. NOPE! I gave up, and went to spend almost 19k, nearly all cash elsewhere. Good job guys! read more

When I arrived at the lot, I was greeted by Solomon. I told him my situation. I have been driving around a truck with a V-8 (gas guzzler), and I really needed something that was good on gas. I don't have the longest commute every day, but the V-8 was still eating up my wallet with these gas prices. Solomon showed me around a bit. He allowed me to ask questions about several different cars, and was never pushy. Eventually I found a Corolla that I really liked, and ended up purchasing, and I couldn't be happier! read more

Stopped by to check out a car they had advertised. After some time of negotiations the salesman would only lower the price by $1,200; even after I told him my budget was just shy of that price. He wouldn't work with me to sell the car. I guess selling cars is not their source of business. They actually quoted me higher than the advertised price on the window. I couldn't help but laugh. Auto Republic Fullerton - My chevy cobalt - Car Dealers Near Me - Fullerton, California

Thank you Auto Republic for my new Audi!!! Big shout-out to Johnny the sales man who made my car buying experience so enjoyable!! In the past I only purchased cars from the big car dealerships thinking it was the ONLY and SAFEST option for buying a new or used car; but on the sunny day of Thursday I decided to visit the Auto Republic to check out a beautiful, low mileage, few years old Audi. I thought it was a bait and switch tactic, too good to be true I was certain.... I mean it was the cheapest in the NATION!!! I saw the car in person and Johnny greeted me like I was family... clean CARFAX... I was still skeptical. I knew there was somewhere they were going to get me.... Johnny assured me that the Auto Republic was like Carmax, no hassle, just an easy car buying experience but being in the retail business I can smell a salesman.... But again WRONG.... to fast forward past a couple days of cross comparing prices and negotiating a trade in value, I am now a proud owner of an Audi! She's not perfect but then again no car is ever perfect, especially when buying used. One aspect I really appreciated was the comprehensive list of vehicle history documentations they provide upon purchase. They MAKE you sign every piece of vehicle history, from the CARFAX, AUTOCHECK and NMVTIS, not to protect them.... but to protect you and show you that your car has the same history you were promised, no accidents, no damage, no branded title!! Financing: Ill be honest, I'm not sure who their financing company is.... BUT, they gave me an interest rate that I was extremely pleased with! I am lets say "credit challenged", but do have established credit, so I was more than happy with the interest rate and down payment I was quoted! Less than ANY OTHER dealership I encountered! When they say they will finance you! They will! And with a better APR than the big corporate dealerships.... Also! BIG BIG thanks to the Finance Manager/General Manager, you made the process enjoyable and FUN! Cars: For being a used car dealership.... you will be shocked to see the level of attention, care and inspection they do to each car. This isn't your shady used dealership with rock bottom prices and "clean" branded cars... you know the dealerships.... These are the best of the bunch, a lot of lease returns (at least for the higher end cars), and most if not all are CLEAN, I mean really clean probably better condition and with a better history than your own car! Customer Service: A+++ Lets just say.... even without the low price, the customer service is amazing! Johnny thanks again for the awesome experience. Conclusion: If you are used to the shady car buying experience, let the AUTO REPUBLIC prove your WRONG!!! If you think Carmax is the best car dealer... Let AUTO REPUBLIC prove you wrong!!! In a short summary Auto Republic is the perfect blend for any car buying experience, providing the ease of Carmax (their cars are all in WAYYYY better condition than Carmax, Auto Republic makes Carmax look like the Goodwill of used cars...), with the confidence of a big name new car dealership, with rock bottom prices. Thanks again Auto Republic, as a district manager for a big retail company, I will be sending everyone I know looking for a used car to visit the Auto Republic, not to mention all my family and friends also! read more

I purchased a sweet MB AMG last September only the hydraulic shock was leaking (ouch, $1500). Since I can't prove they knew of that issue, I will take my licks. My real issue is that I traded in my BMW at the time of the sale yet I received a Late Registration notice from the DMV in January and a Toll Violation notice in February. Fullerton Auto Square never transferred the BMW out of my name! Even after selling the BMW to someone else! It does not take 4-5 months to transfer title. read more

One of those establisments where you get what you pay for. Purchased vehicle here and price couldn't be beat. This place took a lot of short cuts and covered up some issues in an effort to make the sale. They used a bunch of deodorizer - an overwhelming amount - and after a couple days when the smell faded we picked up on a new smell.... cigarette smoke. They admitted to painting bumpers - and painted over all park assist sensors on the back bumper. Bumper looked great but park assist didn't work. Passanger rear turn indicator didn't work - i went to replace the bulb but later found it was wiring... about half the wiring near the wire harness had been cut. The vehicle only came with one key..... who knows maybe someone at AR has the other and is gonna pull a heist?!? Drivers side door handle became loose the day after i brought it home.... probably already broken - the guy opened the door for me each time i entered the vehicle.... what a gentleman! Business offers absolutely no warranty..... "only the slimiest places do this." Although everyone we dealt with was kind, they were sneaky!! Im not looking forward to other surprises down the road. Id probably steer clear. If you do buy from these guys.... sniff around a bit and don't assume they are being honest. read more

They are exceptional liars. They told me that the 2014 car I came to purchase had 1 owner and was properly maintained. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that the car had 2 registered owners and was last serviced in 2013. I was looking for a used Hybrid Toyota Avalon and found one that Auto Republic was advertising on Car Gurus. Went there not expecting much to happen but ended up really liking the car they had. I had a really good experience buying a vehicle from this place. The customer service was absolutely fantastic and I'm very happy with my truck. I've had it for a few months now. Customer service gets 6 stars - hands down. I'm pretty young, came in with my boyfriend, and was looking to buy a Tacoma which is notoriously expensive. I felt like they took me seriously and never once felt like they were brushing me aside due to my 'demographic' which is something I experienced at other dealerships. They also let me just hop in the truck I wanted and take it out for a test drive by myself. It was awesome. They worked with me on the price and although I didn't get it as low as I wanted (free :p) I felt like I got a very fair deal compared to what similar Tacomas were priced at. They did the general maintenance (new oil and what not) on my truck and I haven't had any problems or concerns. It's a great truck. The only reason I'm docking a star is because the alignment was quite messed up - that really should have been under the general maintenance before handing it off to me, so I ended up having to pay to get that straightened out. And also because my truck had modifications they didn't fully understand (he pointed out aftermarket switches and mentioned how he didn't have a clue what they did). I know the guy was a salesman, not a mechanic, but I feel like he should have had a better understanding in what he was selling me. It ended up leading to a weekend of confusion and panic. Basically my ABS light turned on. I know the ABS system can be very very expensive to fix. I took it in and they said the ABS wasn't functioning at all. So I got pretty scared. But I know a decent amount electrically so I decided to take a look before doing anything drastic. Turns out the previous owner wanted an override switch and all I had to do was switch it back on. Crisis averted and pretty neat mod found but still - had someone less car savvy bought the truck they could have ended up dumping thousands into a new ABS system. Still - would do business again. read more
