Hello , Yelp reviewers. I usually try to avoid writing bad reviews but, I believe this dealership warrants this review for the horrendous customer service at the Fullerton branch this is the branch that I had my experience at. I had been dealing with Sergio at first , about a week and half ago and we couldn't come to an agreement on price because they're a " No-haggle" dealership (ridiculous) but everyone to his own. Any how I just forgot about and continued on my vehicle search. Received a call from Jesse on 11/9/2017 around 3pm asking me if I was still interested in the Truck , I told him yes , and then proceeded to ask for Sergio, my original go to guy, Jesse acted like he didn't know who I was talking about. Jesse , then explained that the" No-haggle" price had been dropped to 15,711 and he wanted to call me because he had seen that I was interested in the truck. So, i then explained to him that I was on my way to see another vehicle about an hour away from them and I was willing to come and see the truck in person. Great , that was the end of that part of the conversation. After arriving at my original destination and deciding that vehicle wasn't for me. I called Jesse and told him I was on my way to Fullerton to see his truck. An hour later I arrived in Fullerton as promised to see the vehicle. I have to admit this truck is clean , I liked it , it was what I was looking for. So , I proceeded with the inspection , test drive and then ,yes, haggling . I offered 15k , they said no. Long story short I told Jesse I would pay their asking price of 15,711 and then asked Jesse if they could wholesale me the vehicle as I was going export out of the country. Thats where things went bad. He stated , " We DO NOT WHOLESALE our vehicles" and if I wanted the vehicle I would have to pay TT&L , plus the obligated Lo Jack system , they were also making me pay for the lo Jack system. I told him I would let him know. While driving back to San Diego I decided I would call him back and agree to everything except the obligated lo jack, he wouldn't answer my calls. So , the next morning I called the dealership looking for my original go to guy Sergio, when I talk to him , he was very invasive and insulting,I told him that I had asked for him yesterday and that Jesse stated he didn't know who he was , Sergio stated " ya, he told me you didn't ask for me and I was there and heard you were low balling us with the 15k offer" At that point I wasn't going to argue with this person, at that point called a couple of the branches looking for Steve Wang , the owner , nobody seems to know anything , I then called the Fullerton dealership to complain , Asked for Mike , the manager, never returned my call. I`m not saying this is bad organization but , at the Fullerton store they're sales staff are true to the old cliche " used car salesmen". The Truck was very nice and I was wiling to pay they're asking price and still no call back. I just thought this was very mediocre experience , kind of a twilight zone thing. Where you're thinking, did this really just happen.... read more

Wow! They have only the finest vehicles around. I came here looking for a good deal on a BMW 7 series. They had a great selection and the right price. Andrew worked hard to get me a great deal and I drove away happily with my 740Li. I would definitely shop here again in the future. I highly recommend to come here first. I just bought a 2013 Ford Escape and had a great experience at Auto Republic. Sergio the sales guy was very helpful and we worked out a great deal that was satisfactory for both parties. I never felt pressured the whole time I was there which made it much easier to buy a car in a timely manner. If you see a car you like on their lot go check it out and see Sergio. read more

Auto Republic Fullerton - Car Dealers Near Me - Fullerton, California

Bought a car, very disappointed in the service. So I bought a 2007 yukon from Auto Republic in October of 2016, my salesman was Johnny. Drove 4 hrs to get a good deal, or so I thought. Took a test drive, found a couple small things being masked but over looked them because I had driven so far and the car was relatively clean. I noticed on the test drive that the passenger (right) turn signal was blinking very fast indicating a malfunction. I told Johnny I'd take it with the stipulation the light was fixed as I had my family with me and had to drive the car 4 hours home. I was told that the bulb was replaced, and it worked properly. Fast fwd to today (8/17/17) and the blinker is again bl8nkimg super fast. I take the tail light apart to check the bulb number to find that the lighting harness had been twisted together and taped up. What the fuck? So instead of fixing it right (a 40 dollar plug in harness) these hacks decided that my family's safety on the road was more important than a few dollars. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from these hacks. They will deceive you every chance they get. I should have headed warnings that were sticking out to me when I found other small i.perfections masked and not mentioned. Used at salesman are just what your dad told you they were, manipulative little fuckers trying to steal your money! Again, DONT TRUST THESE GUYS FARTHER THAN YOU CAN SEE THEM. THEY WILL CHOOSE THE DOLLAR BILL OVER YOUR FAMILYS SAFTEY.!!!! read more

Auto Republic Fullerton - This is the kind of stuff you receive from the amateurs at Auto Republic when they tell you "it's fixed". - Car Dealers Near Me - Fullerton, California

Best dealer ever! Got my second vehicle here. Big shout out to Mike, Jr, and Andrew for going above and beyond to get me in the car that I want not trying to get me into something that I'll regret. They stayed in contact with me through out the whole process and never gave up on me. They worked with me with my budget and made sure of it! I would high recommend Auto Republic to anyone who is looking to buy a used vehicles, they have a variety of selections and will work with you to get what you want! Thank you one last time you guys got me my dream car!!! read more

Chris greeted my husband and I at our car right when we parked...wow! They had the exact car we were looking for and for a great price and got us a test drive right away. He got us low APR and a decent monthly payment since we were putting a lot of cash down. Loved the car and the service, we got to take the vehicle home same day. The car had a hiccup the next morning (wouldn't start but started 30 minutes after the first attempt) we brought the car back and they (Chris and Jr.) were gracious enough to have the mechanics look at the car and get it fixed without hesitation...wow! Turns out it was a bad battery so they had it replaced. We've been very happy with the car ever since and it's been running great. We are very happy with the over all experience and purchase at Auto Republic. We were well taken care of and were impressed with the dealerships' eagerness to preserve their reputation and satisfy their customers. read more

I purchased a 2013 Kia Optima about 3 months ago. I had searched the area for a couple months before finally deciding to purchase the vehicle from Auto Republic. All in all the car buying process was very easy! I had spoken with Johnny online and he kept me up to date with the vehicle and if it was still available until I could come in, he even sent me videos of the car. When I arrived I was able to test drive, I believe with Jose. Shortly after I started the paper work and it was more of a hassle than it should have been. I have a credit score of 800, and they wanted to have my interest rate at a ridiculous amount. Then they didn't want to help me get the warranty for me car, but eventually they followed through. I left the lot with my vehicle, happy as could be with my very first car purchase! They told me they would check up on me shortly after I sent my proof of insurance over. The financing manager never wrote me back and nobody has spoken with me since. read more

It's very simple this place will try to bait and switch you they will post cars for sale but when you get there it's just "sold" "we tried to call you" yeah I'm sure you did yet I had no missed calls no texts and no voice mails... abysmal customer service from erica ZERO ability to close and ZERO follow up. Very Professional, good team work and customer service. Will return fo car needs in the Future.

I lost my car in a flash flood and had to replace it. After visiting 5 dealerships, all whom tried to wear me down and tack on additional costs, I ended up at Auto Republic and finally found pleasant, honest people who were competent and quick. Being forced to purchase a vehicle is not usually a pleasant experience but EVERYONE at AR made it fast and easy. I saw the staff giving other customers the same fast and pleasant assistance with no pressure. Thank you, this was one pleasant surprise after suffering my loss in a flood. read more

My husband and I were in desperate need of a bigger car. We had driven by the dealership a few times and decided to check out one of the vans they had. Long story short, one of the salesmen came out and talked to us, gave us some ideas about what we might qualify for, and we left with a van. We actually got qualified for a larger loan than we anticipated. All in all, it was a great experience. We haven't had any problems with our car so far and that's saying a lot, being that our van is a 2004. I would recommend this dealership. Very good experience. Ask for Mike or Brady. read more

Often the test of integrity for a business is not what they do right, but how they respond to an issue. The 2006 Tacoma I purchased had a mechanical issue that I discovered after I purchased the vehicle earlier this month. After calling the dealership and talking to Chris, my sales rep, he immediately got back to me and asked me to bring the truck back in. They would do the repair the next day. They responded positively, took care of the problem promptly, and I was very impressed. Nice job, guys! read more

One of the best used car dealers i've worked with. Chris is an awesome salesman i'd ask for him if you're looking to buy a car here, They have great inventory and everyone is very friendly, I was surprised how fast the process got done, Harold in finance also did an excellent job explaining all the contracts and paperwork. If i could give this place 10 stars i would. Very happy with my new Sprinter. Thanks guys! read more

I bought a 2010 Prius and did a pre-purchase check at Toyota. There were some minor issues so Auto Republic held the car for a couple days to fix it. After I picked it up, I drove it back all the way to Santa Barbara which is 120 miles away. On the way, I noticed loud sound coming from the sun roof. So I called in telling the lady who was responsible, she said I can call this number. From there, I've been directed to different people and the manager finally said I can bring it in to check up. Since I'm 120 miles away, I told him I won't be able to come down immediately because I have school/work. But he said it's fine you can bring in when you can. When I brought in, the person from the service department was very unwelcoming. He kept saying you had this car for too long and it's not their responsibility anymore while interrupting me. In the end, they checked the car and see no problem but the sound is still reoccurring. In my opinion, if the manager is nice enough to let me bring it in, you should have a better communication with your service team and not have them shut me out after I drove 120 miles to your shop. when I finally read more

Let's start off by saying I have recommended quite a few people here (5 people to be exact) and and all bought a car. My brother purchased a car twice and so did i. That's a total of 7 cars! This last time I traded in my truck for an frs. Since the very first car I got was in awesome condition and I was satisfied, I didn't doubt they had reliable cars. I was wrong. This frs I recently got had a whistle noise that I told them about it and they inspected it and said it's was normal. Water was also getting into the tail light which I got a fixing ticket for. I asked if they can fix but they refused. So one of the cylinders ended up breaking and I took it to Toyota and they told me that's why the car had that whistle noise. To fix it was 2900 dollars which is ridiculous. I am beyond disappointed with this dealer. I was sold a lemon. This car totally sucked. Is that really how you treat your loyal customers? read more

I totally recommend buying a car from them! I really shop around and do my research. They had the lowest price and best car for me. I appreciate them taking my car as a trade in.. they gave me a great trade in value. The transaction was fast. They were friendly and professional. Go see Jose/Danny when you need to purchase a vehicle. I read the other reviews.. yes my new car kind of needed a car wash and a little gas but really?!? That is so petty when they're saving you thousands of dollars and really helping you out. I'll only shop here for cars in the future. I love my new car! read more

I am deeply concerned with the customer service provided by this place. They placed the wrong tires in my car and when I confronted them about it, they argued about how the warranty doesn't cover the change of tires to the correct ones even though it was solely their fault. On top of that, they made me wait six hours for them to adjust the correct tires in my car and they didn't even balance my tires properly. Not to mention that they also didn't align them and I had trouble maneuvering my own car the following week. read more

I see they totally took my review OUT of circulation. they sold me a car with no wiper motor,. a improper windshield that needed to be replaced at my expense at $1900 and i purchased a warranty at $2500 or the wiper repair that was $2300 would have come out of my pocket too. In addition, the airvents were botched and the door was hidden with a big scrath and was hidden from me. They ripped me off even though they gave me a check for $800 to make me feel good it was a rip off experience. I would NEVER buy there again. The fact that they took my REVIEW out of circulation is pretty bad too. I just looked and its nowhere to be seen. thats really bad and crooked. read more

5 Stars doesn't do it justice, I would rate the service 100! I had the opportunity to work with Sergio who was a true professional and the kind of guy you feel comfortable buying from. No pressure atmosphere and really felt like he was interested in helping me get the car I wanted and not just selling another car. Quality cars, they buy clean stuff. Oh and the prices...can't beat them. Thousands less than most places. Even though I came in pre approved from my bank he got me a rate of half what I was getting, it dropped my payment $150 less! Happy with my BMW, I would recommend AR to anyone! read more
