Thanks to Jose S we had a great experience when purchasing our new Silverado this weekend. Jose was both friendly and professional. He saw the entire process through from start to finish and made it quick and easy for us. We could not be happier! Auto Republic Fullerton - Thanks Jose! We are loving our new Silverado! - Car Dealers Near Me - Fullerton, California

Auto Republic is fantastic I saw the ad on Halloween October 31, 2018 called them they were very polite and said to have the car ready to test drive. I drove down with Uber because I didn't want to drive my car knowing and hoping to drive this truck back with me! Toyota Tacoma 2010 white. I have to recommend Harold and Jose for a wonderful job help helping me getting this truck. I had a little snag with my bank not given me a cashiers check for the full amount I was able to put a down payment and proof of all the money I had in full and write a check for the rest.. with the really good credit. Thank you Harold and Jose!! I would highly recommend working with these two men good luck with your car or truck purchase. Danny Wagner. Simi Valley, Ca read more

Proceed with caution. We saw a truck we liked and called to see if it was available to test drive since it's an hour away. They told us they had it and that we could come in and test drive. We get there and they had to check on it. The guy comes back and says, "It looks like it was lent out. We don't really do that". Apparently they do do that. This seems like it may be a scam. They get you with a "good deal" online at autotrader and when you go in it's not available, but it says it is in their system online... So they can work you to buy a more expensive car... He said he would see what he could do for our inconvience... Maybe some gas money. He comes back with a receipt paper and tells us the vague location of the only gas station they use, but never tells us the name. We will never recommend this place or go back and warn anyone we know looking for a car to stay away. read more

This has to be one of the greatest dealerships in the area. I called 5 minutes after they opened, asked for the 135is and Bill one of the most amazing salesman I've ever had the pleasure talking to helped me out and had me out the door within 2 hours after test driving it. Amazing experience and I will recommend this dealership to everyone I know!! Amazing cars and so many options, it's your go to dealership if you're in the Fullerton area. And Sergio (finance guy) had me out the door within 45 minutes of getting approved for my finance. 10/10 absolutely in love with my 135IS THANK YOU read more

Bought a 2014 335i BMW from AR 6 months ago. Wanted to wait a bit to leave a review. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Do your research on the car and most important check the maintenance history. Overall process was simple and straightforward. Yes they make you pay for LoJack but everything was stated on the website. I had to fix a few things on the BMW but I knew I was buying a USED car and maintenance should be expected. read more

I bought a preowned Car at this dealer Autonation Acura South Bay, a few days ago, the salesperson Garry Arsenault who helped me showing the vehicle was polite and friendly, as well as the Financial Director Hani Albawab. The transaction went smooth, not much haggling nor pushing, I made an offer which was accepted. They promised me to clean and detail the vehicle before delivering it, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I will definitely recommend Autonation Acura South Bay. read more

I know that all used car dealerships have bad reputations but this experience was worse than I had ever expected. I accompanied the bf for his search of a second car (every guy wants/needs a stick shift). Anyway, we found a 2005 Acura TL online that looked good cosmetically, although it had almost 100k miles. We figured it was worth a look so we drove down to Fullerton to take a look. My personal pet peeve is when the salesperson fails to acknowledge my existence. I know I'm not the "buyer" but you could at least say hi to me even if you don't ask me for my name. As Chris went back into the office to grab the keys for the car, we walked around the lot. EVERY SINGLE CAR HAD MAJOR ISSUES. The TL that looked great online had a bunch of dents all over and it was even keyed by someone. The 350z next to it didn't have the Z symbol. A lot of the Infiniti Gs were also missing the logos. Other cars' side mirrors were falling off. Basically every single car had some sort of exterior damage. We should've just left at that point but we didn't want to be rude so we waited for Chris to return with the keys. HE COULDN'T TURN THE CAR ON! He said that the light was left on and the battery had died, but don't worry, he could jump it right now. What type of idiot leaves the light on? Maybe he was already trying to trick us and that wasn't the real issue. But with keys in hand, we figured we'd give it a test drive. Upon entering the vehicle, I was shocked by the poor interior condition. I mean, this car looked like it was 15 years old. That wasn't even the worst part. When we left the lot, it became obvious that the alignment was off. The thing swerved and was impossible to handle. We were too scared to take it onto the freeway because of its condition. It also almost stalled (and I'm sure it's not due to my bf's driving skills). There were just way too many problems with this car. We returned and told Chris all of the issues with the car and his response was "These are all minor problems that are easy to fix." Well then, shouldn't you fix them before you let people see your cars? Fullerton Auto Square is full of shady cars and shady car salesmen. I wouldn't recommend it anyone. read more

One star is too generous for this dealership. They try to sell you a car that's in great condition, so they say, but turns out it's in terrible condition. I checked out an M3 recently, it was in decent condition, appearance wise. But upon further inspection, the rear bumper had missing bolts, the tires were bald, front bumper was loose, and that's just to name a few. And the sales person probably thought I was stupid, as the managers did as well. Trying to tell me the tires are not bald, yeah right! These guys obviously don't care about getting you into a quality car. If they did, they wouldn't sell a half-assed car that only has a car wash to make it look nice. If you plan on buying a car from these guys, be smart and inspect it thoroughly. Side note, I overheard them talking pretty harshly about someone who came in with a pretty bad credit score. Then insulted the guy behind his back about how he's broke and can't even come up with a down. Pretty unprofessional of them to act like a bunch of douche bags. Also, why would they talk down on someone with bad credit? Their poorly written Craigslist ads state that they approve almost anyone...even with terrible credit. Save your time and money and find a different used car dealership. These guys are not worth your time and hard earned money. read more

If I could give ZERO--- STARS I WOULD..!!! These people take your money and self worth and turn it into ugly promises... Nothing could of been worse then buying a suppose to be in ok condition vehicle.! Instead it's a needs major repairs vehicle. Spoke to over 2-3 managers there all full of it. Act like they care but do not help at all to fix your car.! They are not the kind of people you honest folks need to deal with! read more

Hi Ella, I strongly do feel Auto Republic does Unfair Business Practices aside from the extended warranty and GAP (2 things we requested to be part of our payment) we caught a few extra charges that were undisclosed to us and that we did not agree to, we asked and had them removed. We also asked Bryan for the LoJack fee to be removed and Bryan said to us that it couldn't be removed because it was "advertised and disclosed", yes it was and it was on your Ad, but it is clearly an OPTIONAL fee in section D of the contract! When we went back and went over the contract with Bryan we explained our situation our last request to Bryan was if we could re-write the contract EXACTLY as it was, but asked him to have my name removed from the contract so our C.U could proceed with the loan solely in my husbands name, Bryan stated it was against policy, the contract terms were NOT going to change and Auto Republic was going to be paid the total lump sum, we obtained a full approval for the total amount in line 7 and Bryan got an approval letter via e-mail directly from our C.U. representative, Auto Republic would be paid off and we were going to deal directly with our credit union. As consumers we all look for best options and me being removed from the contract is what would've worked best for us and not have changed the contract terms or the bottom line in any way. read more

I originally filled out their finance application online and they called me back saying I got approved for an apr of 6.9 and I was so surprised as everyone else said it was 25% and lowest I got was 13.9. As soon as I got here..finally chose a car that I liked...they told me it was 21% apr. This place wasted my time and my gas conning me to go there!! I can understand if it was 5-10% more or less than the original they told me...but no thats a huge gap! I was luckier than most in these reviews as I did not purchase a car from Fullerton Auto Square aka Cypress Motors aka Auto Republic aka "Thier Next Name Change After Shady Dealings". I did go check out and test drive a car that I had found on Auto Trader, a BMW Z4 3.0i automatic, and although my first 5 minutes of conversation went well once I approached the car it was just a step slide into shaddyville. I worked with a sales guy "Name Redacted" (NR) and once I told him the car I wanted he got a little nervous. His first comment was "How about an S2000, we have a few on the lot" This should have been enough of a red flag but I though to press on. Once we got the cars NR had ZERO information on the Z4, knew ZERO about the specs, and couldn't even venture a guess about how the features worked on the car. On my first walk around on the car I noticed a wavy pattern on the rear fender, I thought it might be just a dent that was brought out so I took the car for a spin. The car rode fine and the engine and transmission was smooth. But on the first right turn I could hear a noise from the right rear suspension. NR decided it would be a great time to test the stereo volume and AC, you know so I don't hear the busted suspension. I could tell from a mile drive that the car had suspension issues in the rear. Once back I took a hard look at the right of the car I noticed the corner of the front fender bent, the rocker panel was not color matched and the door was not lined up. I asked to lower the top and NR said he did not know how and didn't want to break it. NR wanted me to go inside for a second, he went strait into the hard sale speech. I interrupted him and asked about a Car Fax, he said he would get it out. He reached into his desk and pulled out the dealer 4 squares (Google it) and wanted to negotiate a deal. I let NR know that I would work out my own financing and needed to talk to the wife as a polite no gesture. He was not having it, he wanted the sale that night, I eventually had to tell him I would call him. At that point he said he didn't have business cards because of a company name change and that he would have to give me info on a post it note. On my way out I checked out a couple other cars and noticed they had accident repair. I think they find cars with "Clean" Car Fax reports but have damage and are cheap to get at auction or under value in a trade. Then just price low to move them on unsuspecting people. By listing them under multiple business names they can reach a broad amount of the types of people born every minute. Final verdict is to avoid. They are unprofessional sales hacks, know nothing about cars, and just hope that hard sales tactics work. They are now known as Auto Republic, so like I said they do regular name changes, its shady. read more

Auto Republic Fullerton - I love it!! - Car Dealers Near Me - Fullerton, California

See all

I recommended this location to my cousin and helped made his car purchase. Unlike many dealerships, you pay for the price listed for the vehicle. There are no mandatory fees (except for tax, apr if you're financing, and the standard stuff) like "dealership fee" where the dealer charge you for their service. We had sales rep at another location that raised their voice at us simply because we disagreed on the price. Our sales rep, Eddie, made us feel at home by offering water and coffee, and striking many conversations to get to know us better. Ish, the manager, did not force us to sign any papers without giving us a brief explanation on what we are signing. He gave us the breakdown of the price clearly and did not hide anything from us. I will continue to recommend this place to friends and family that are shopping for new vehicles. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. LIES, LIES, LIES. First of all, I live in the Bay Area 5+ hours away from this establishment. I saw the car model that I was looking for with low miles for $2000 less than I could find in the Bay. So, I called and made a deal over the phone with Fullerton Auto Square on the afternoon on 3/2/12. I made an offer and accepted offer for my trade, etc. I gave over all of my personal info and secured financing. I told the salesman that I would make the drive down to SoCal, stay in a hotel, and be in to sign papers at 9:00 AM the next morning. He assured me that this would be fine and that he would "hold" the car for me. I again told him that I was getting in the car with my family and leaving at that moment so that we could be there in the morning to pick up the car. He repeated that the car would be there in the morning for us. After the 5+ hour Friday night drive and sleep at a nearby hotel, my wife, newborn baby and I arrived to trade in our old car and pick our new car. When we arrived at Fullerton Auto Square we were told that the car had been sold the previous evening for "a better offer." Our salesman told us not be be "pissed" at him because his GM "fuc*ed" him and that he lost his commission. We were obviously pretty pissed at everyone involved. He offered to sell us a different car with 20K more miles on it for the same price. We asked to speak with the GM and were told that he did not work on Saturdays. Then, we told him to eat a di*k sandwich and left. Please do not give these clowns your money, they are not to be trusted. Who knows what will happen to you. read more

First of all, I wish there was an option with Negative Stars because that would definitely be my selection. Where do I begin... Once upon a time, back in October of 2018, I walked into this dealer to purchase a commercial van for my business. From selecting the vehicle, to doing the paperwork, everything was great. 28 days later from the purchased date, before my first payment was due, the Transit started to have little issues. I contacted the sales person that helped me (Jose) and explained to him the problem. About 3 days passed, I didn't get no call back from him nor the GM that was suppose to contact me (Eddie) It took them several weeks to even get back to me and when they did, Jose called me back and stated "We can't do anything about this nor fix it. Contact the bank because the contract belongs to them now." I'm like "it hasn't even been 30 days that I purchased it and you guys can't do anything about it. Not even bother checking out the problem?" Days after, I took my Transit to a Ford dealer to see if the warranty I purchased with it covered the problem. Unfortunately, it didn't and I had no choice but pay out of my pocket, about total of $2000.00 To make the story short, Harold, Eddie and Jose pretty much cleaned their hands and didn't even bother returning my call or trying to fix the issue. It got to a point where I filed a claim under "Best Business Bureau." Surprisingly after filling the claim, now the GM decided to call me back asking why I filed it, and that they want to try and fix the problem. I explained to them the problem and until this day nothing has been done, 5 months later. Moral of the story, HORRIBLE DEALER & CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Did i mention HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Have a great day y'all! read more

Can't believe all of these fake reviews for Auto Republic Fullerton! Went with cash to buy an advertised car only to be informed that I should have read the disclaimer that added $4,000 of additional fees (not tax and reg) to the cost. Pics did not include the huge back seat dog damage that they told me "just go to a junkyard and get it fixed no big deal" but if it was that easy why didn't they fix it. Price didn't include the wheels that were on it and mandated I buy back end products. Had to endure a cocky 20 something salesmen in a cheap hand me down suit bragging about how he was the stores best salesmen and that was the best deal and he wouldn't present my offer. They made me wait 45 minutes while they "wrote me up" for a cash deal with only one other customer there! Tried to talk to the desk guy on the way out who was extremely condescending because he didn't want to lose his "loss leader." This is why these people don't work at repudiable new car franchise and why used car lots are called Sled Lots. Typical scummy used car salesmen, their mothers must be proud. Felt like I need a shower when I left. The owners should be extremely embarrassed by their representatives. read more

This review is for my experience of going here to sell my 2012 Acura MDX. To start things off, I was contacted by Carolina (their buying coordinator) via email to bring my car here because she found my vehicle from KBB. I was told to come at around 1pm on a Saturday and I told her ahead of time that I was on a tight schedule and she said that it would only take around 20 minutes. I showed up about 15 minutes early and not a single person knew that I was coming, so I had to wait around 25 minutes for the appraisal to come. After waiting, I was greeted by Luke. He took my car for a test drive and came back asking me how much I would want to sell my 2012 Acura MDX w/ Tech package for, and I said the price should be the same on KBB. He then went to the back to do some price check and came back 20 minutes later telling me that my car is not qualified for Kelly's Blue Book because he added some extra variables to it, saying that my front benders were repainted, etc.. and can only put it in the auction. Like seriously? I didn't do any paint job on my car ever since I bought it. I was really disappointed and didn't even want to waste my time to argue so I just left. From the other reviews that I'm seeing, it looks like they have a good rep for selling cars, but buying cars? I wouldn't recommend this place for their lack of organization, and for wasting my time. read more

I purchased my Honda crv over 3 months ago and I still do not have my license plates. First inconvenience is that they gave me a car with an empty gas tank. I asked them to put gas in the car for me and they wouldnt do it!!!!! Who sells you a car with an EMPTY gas tank!!!!!! Then later the tire pressure light came on. When I brought it in and they seemed to have fixed the problem until the light went on again later that night. Once again I had to drive my car over and explained to them that the tire needed to be replaced (they should have known this the first time I came in). This time I spend 3 hours of my time waiting for them to fix the issue that should have already been fixed. I also do not live close to this dealership so driving to them is always a waste of gas, money, and time. It is now over 3 months later and I am here waiting at the dealership because apparently the DMV needs to check my vin number before I can get my license plates, not to mention that my car registration is due later this month and I have no paperwork for it. My question is, why was this not already done?? I have to drive all the way over here, waste gas and time. I am told I will be stuck here for half an hour at the least, wasting my time while they take my car and drive it over to the DMV and use up the gas that I PAID for. I have a friend who bought a used car two weeks after me and they have their license plates and have not dealt with any hassles whatsoever. read more

Chris was great as was all of the staff. I went to several dealerships before buying here, and let me tell you this place was the only honest ones among them. Yeah, they make you buy a logack and door guards for about 1,100. But at least they are up front and clear about it. Others hid the fact that they did it or charged 4 times as much as AR. The quality of this car is amazing. It is hard to believe that it has 87,000 miles on it. It looks as if it just rolled off the showroom floor. I hav been buying cars for close to 40 years and this really one of the best - if not the best - dealership that I have dealt with. Buy with confidence here, and when you get there, as for Chris. I would like to thank Solomon for actually taking the time and talking to me about the problem i had. He was a extremely nice man and has good intentions in heart. When he heard of my situation he didn't hesitate to call me in order to help me. He offered to get my subaru towed over to a subaru dealership to get it inspected free of charge. I respectfully declined his offer because at the end of the day the cars engine has to be rebuilt, no way around it. Unfortunately the dealer could not do anything because this was a warranty issue. At the time of my review i was extremely mad and had irrational thinking. I am still currently a little fustrated but what has happened happened.
