Chicken nachos

The happy hour prices and food were very good. I had the chicken nachos even though it's a starter and it ended up being my full menu.

I am absolutely mind blown!!!! Came here to attend the 2026 Yelp elite badge month event and it was so freaking amazing. Despite how many people they had over there the lines were short there was never shortage of food and I never had to wait for anything. What a treat. I tried every single item on their food buffet there and there wasn't a single thing that didn't blow my mind. The tuna, sashimi tacos, the lobster tail, the duck, the brisket taco, the lamb. Everything was absolutely freaking amazing.. the showstopper was the Black Forest taco. That was by far the most unique thing on the menu. I had never seen anything like that before. Those drinks were also on point. They clarified Margarita was so freaking good. This was such a treat. Thank you Austin taco project for spoiling us so much. Can't wait to be back here.

Stopped in here in between some meetings held at the hotel. The happy hour is decent. The service is also fine. We were there during an in between time and only got a drink and a snack. The inside is a lot of fun. I really loved their decor! The chicken nachos were fine and the cocktails were tasty. We weren't there for very long but I know we had colleagues that tried to go there the night before and said it was very busy. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd love to try their actual tacos! It was a good spot for a quick drink.

Laid back little taco joint attached to the Hilton Downtown Austin. Sarah my server was very kind and engaging. Decided to try the shrimp tacos because that was what people recommended. They were fresh and delicious. I'll be back for sure!

Happy Hour Menu

I was staying at the Hilton Austin hotel and needed a quick bite, so I decided to check out Austin Taco Project downstairs--perfect timing since it was happy hour! I started with the Banana Daiquiri. I'll admit, I was hesitant at first, but I'm so glad I gave it a shot. The first sip had a fun banana Laffy Taffy vibe, but the lime really came through and balanced out the sweetness. Surprisingly delicious! For food, I went with the Tater Tots, which were loaded with queso, ground beef, poblano crema, pico, and hot sauce. The portion was generous, and the flavors really came together nicely. Each bite was packed with a delicious mix of cheesy, spicy, and savory goodness. The overall vibe of Austin Taco Project is laid-back and fun, with TVs, a pool table, and games scattered around. It's a great spot to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy some flavorful bites. Highly recommend for anyone staying nearby or looking for a fun happy hour spot!

Bugs in this place under dining tables GROSS

Updated: A Busser (I think because he served us water when we sat) came over and said he wanted to make it right. That he would make fresh eggs and indeed eggs were freshly cooked however, I can only give them one more star because while I was eating my eggs, I noticed a employee crush one of the bugs that I mentioned below and kick it 3 times across the restaurant to the bar area. WTH Bacon had no flavor but maybe they pull it together for lunch or the alcohol drinks are good but I would never eat here for breakfast. Especially since Austin has so many great breakfast places ‍ Breakfast is terrible Staying at Hilton and the buffet is crazy overpriced 31 and food looks to have been sitting or cooked ages ago so I chose to get 4 fresh eggs and bacon I asked if they made them fresh and just did not grab them from the boxed eggs in Buffett. they said they are made fresh to order and clearly not My glossy cold eggs came right from buffet Had to send back and chose to skip breakfast and Sorry Hilton associates with this place. We will have to find breakfast elsewhere Do not recommend this place Also we've seen 4 bugs on the floor as you see in picture

I could remember if I reviewed this place or not but this is a pretty cool restaurant at the hotel that you can get a quick bite at. My girlfriend and I ate here about a year ago and we used our diamond reward for the breakfast and I got to say the breakfast burritos were really good. I also want to say we had lunch here too or something. I can't remember but I know for a fact we both really enjoyed the breakfast burritos. I believe they still open late, which is nice. If you're looking for a quick bite , this is a spot to give a try. I remember giving them a five star because the breakfast burrito was actually quite good. If you're staying at this hotel, you don't feel like going far. You have some pretty good options here with their food selections .

Cactus tacos and side of black beans

I had lunch here during SXSW. Great food and service! The cactus tacos were flavorful and served piping hot (temp, not spice). There is a nice spacious patio next to the light rail. They have gluten free options. My husband has Celiac disease and asked the server about ordering. She was honest and advised they aren't able to accommodate someone with celiac disease (try to avoid cross contamination) due to the use of flour tortillas in addition to corn tortillas. We appreciated her honesty and he opted to just order a drink. So I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone with Celiac disease or a wheat allergy.

I was staying in the Hilton and appreciated the convenience of the location. I was seated quickly. The waitress was a little spastic and awkward. Food was beautiful and the tacos were good but way overpriced. The drink didn't make it out until I was almost finished with my meal. I would try a different restaurant in the future. There are was too many REALLY good Mexican food in Austin to choose this again.

Quick tasty bites in the Hilton Austin Hotel. Happy hour menu is on point. Prices are cheap too.

Best restaurant in Austin! We ate at several different restaurants, and ATP was definitely our favorite! We had the Baja Shrimp Tacos - a little spicy for me, but OH, the flavor! They were absolutely delicious! My husband really enjoyed the carne asada tacos. Their chips were delectable also! Our server was Vincent. He was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We wish we had eaten here before when we first got to Austin. The restaurant inside the main section of the Hilton is NOT good, so we really regretted discovering ATP on the last day of our visit. We highly recommend ATP! Yum!

The brothers traveled around different areas throughout the US trying different variations before deciding how they wanted to style the tacos. This place is in an alley, and it's very unassuming. It's actually considered a "reverse speakeasy" with a gorgous bar with a disco ball in the front, and mouthwatering food in the back. As everything in De Diez are made completely from scratch (including the tortillas), prices are very, very, fair. We knew that Austin is a foodie city and it didn't disappoint in the slightest in hitting all those food types that we were wanting to try. We enthusiastically marked off "Mexican" by coming to Taqueria De Diez. It wasn't in our bookmarks to try. I believe we came across it in a Google search or a Yelp search and we're impressed with the review score and decided to go check it out. It didn't disappoint at all. The review score average definitely held up. We got tacos here. I got three Asada tacos and I have to say that these tacos are the best I have had in recent memory. And I am all about tacos. I mean I LOVE tacos so that is saying a lot as I am such a snob with Mexican food. I can say with quite a bit of confidence... and this is even a bigger statement... these tacos may very well be the best I have EVER had. Now, I know that's saying a lot but they were so, so good. Months later from our dining experience there I am still thinking about this place. So if I could give more than five stars I most certainly would. Sometimes the no frills restaurants are the best and that is kind of what's going on here. It somewhat arranged with placing your order a tad bit like a cafeteria (but not an actual cafeteria). You place your food order and then wait for it at the end. Lots of customers take their orders to go but there is spots where you can dine in also. Steve and I did just that and we sat and enjoyed our tacos. So what makes me praise these tacos so much? I don't know for sure but the roll out of flavor on your tongue was just magical. The steak I imagine was prepared with perfection and got all of the tender, loving care it needed to be as amazing as it was. The rest of the toppings were great too as well as the sauces and the taco sized tortillas were probably a likely suspect as well in their perfection. It was so perfect. Taco bliss indeed. I long for these tacos again and if we are even somewhat close to Austin seeking this place out will be a no brainer for us.

The burritos are generously sized but not over bloated or making your feel bloated, stuffed with tender meat of your choice, well-seasoned filling, and wrapped tight enough to stay together all the way to the last bite. Every one I've had has felt fresh and satisfying without being heavy. The tacos are just as impressive. The tortillas are warm and soft, and the fillings are bursting with flavor, from perfectly seasoned meats to fresh toppings like cilantro, onion, and a bright salsa that ties everything together. A squeeze of lime over the top and you've got a taco that's hard to stop eating. You will be offer corn or flour tortilla. For al pastor meat, my choice is flour and for carne asada my choice is always corn. The service is friendly and quick, even when the line is long, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on your break or feeding a crowd, Las Trancas delivers every time. Highly recommended. My one experience with them was when they were the stars of the show at a Yelp Elite event. They were doing three to ten times their normal volume. I think the huge onrush of customers led them to have a less than excellent day. * * * I tried them again under more leisurely conditions. I now see the merits in their fine establishment. One thing to get on the record first. They make a big fuss over their nixtwhatever tortillas. The tortillas here are no big deal. Talk meat fillings and talk salsas ... And everything is different. The tacos start to glow The food angels start singing their hymns. Their carnitas are absolutely positively insane. I know some knowledgeable Mexican food connoisseurs who praise some other carnitas in town. In some case those praises are deserved. But in my not-even-remotely-humble opinion, Cuantos serves the best carnitas in town. Hands down and thumbs up. I sat and marveled at those babies. Their green salsa was mild, complex and was the perfect accompaniment to the carnitas. I left the foodstand with renewed respect. * * * For the record - other Yelpers have come here and have had the same ambivalent first reactions that I did.
