The service here is just wonderful . We popped in for a late last minute hoorah and really enjoyed chatting it up with the bartender. They do offer mocktails & a few vegan options like nopales tacos without cheese & guacamole (no cheese) . Large breakfast buffet opens at 6am ! read more

This restaurant is located inside the Hilton Austin Downtown, and I had a breakfast voucher to eat here during my stay, so I tried several different dishes over the course of my visit. Bat City Breakfast Burrito - $19 Honestly, overpriced for a breakfast burrito. Maybe it's because it's inside the Hilton--similar to how Starbucks inside hotels often charges more than regular Starbucks locations. Brisket & Egg Taco $17 for one tiny taco feels way too expensive. The portion definitely didn't justify the price. Please see my pic in this review. All American - $22 Two eggs, applewood-smoked bacon, pork sausage, breakfast potatoes, and toast. A pretty standard American breakfast. The cherry tomatoes were actually the highlight--fresh, juicy, and sweet. Texas Benedict - $25 House-smoked brisket, spinach, English muffin, poached eggs, and breakfast potatoes. Everything was nice except the potatoes. The brisket and poached eggs were good. ATP Parfait Greek yogurt, mixed berries, house-made granola, agave nectar, and mint. A nice lighter option, with lovely fresh fruit. My favorite for a busy morning. One downside was the slow service, especially considering there weren't many customers when I visited. If you're staying at the Hilton, and given breakfast voucher, it's okay. But if you're paying out of pocket, I think the prices are on the high side. Especially the brisket & egg taco was definitely not worth $17. read more

Located inside the Hilton Austin they have some pretty good food. Their chips and salsa, and poke tacos were delicious. Their kitchen was backed up when we came for a late dinner, but the servers were on top of it keep up updated and bring over water and complementary chips while we waited. The inside is a stylish bar with some booth and table seats for groups. They're a great choice for dinner if you're staying at the Hilton & don't feel like heading up the block to 6th street to find something to eat. read more

I am absolutely mind blown!!!! Came here to attend the 2026 Yelp elite badge month event and it was so freaking amazing. Despite how many people they had over there the lines were short there was never shortage of food and I never had to wait for anything. What a treat. I tried every single item on their food buffet there and there wasn't a single thing that didn't blow my mind. The tuna, sashimi tacos, the lobster tail, the duck, the brisket taco, the lamb. Everything was absolutely freaking amazing.. the showstopper was the Black Forest taco. That was by far the most unique thing on the menu. I had never seen anything like that before. Those drinks were also on point. They clarified Margarita was so freaking good. This was such a treat. Thank you Austin taco project for spoiling us so much. Can't wait to be back here. read more

Dana from Austin Taco Project went above and beyond with service. The food was delicious and I regret not buying from them sooner! If you're looking for delicious food and great and friendly service, you have to go to ATP! Thank you Dana for everything! read more

This place is extremely underwhelming. I am a native Texan, in town from Fort Worth for a football game, and thought this would be a no-brainer for dinner after the long drive. The Margaritas were ok, but the Mahi tacos and the shrimp tacos were the blandest I've ever had. No flavor and the fish was super dry. We ordered two of each tacos. The order came out wrong but we told them not to bother brining out the other two. I asked for pickled jalapeños and got some sweet relish with jalapeño's and red onion. No clue what that was all about. If you want good Tex-Mex, don't come here. The atmosphere is also extremely boring and the restaurant is hard to find, practically in the belly of the Hilton. read more

Stopped in here in between some meetings held at the hotel. The happy hour is decent. The service is also fine. We were there during an in between time and only got a drink and a snack. The inside is a lot of fun. I really loved their decor! The chicken nachos were fine and the cocktails were tasty. We weren't there for very long but I know we had colleagues that tried to go there the night before and said it was very busy. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd love to try their actual tacos! It was a good spot for a quick drink. read more

Do you want an awesome breakfast taco? We'll go elsewhere. Not terrible but very far from value for the price. So 2 tacos will run you about $17 and a coffee $5. A continental breakfast (the stuff you usually get for free at other hotels) will run you $31 per person. Thus far from worthwhile. Don't get me wrong, staying at the Hilton to had to try this place especially since weather was crap and didn't want to venture far. Tacos had some flavor (thus not bland, but far from yummy). Spot itself is cute, though weird that it's got the golf simulator booths on the one side of the room. Staff are friendly as one would expect. Overall, much like the Hilton. Overpriced, overhyped, presented nicely but does not deliver value for the money. Won't be back read more

I was staying at the Hilton Austin hotel and needed a quick bite, so I decided to check out Austin Taco Project downstairs--perfect timing since it was happy hour! I started with the Banana Daiquiri. I'll admit, I was hesitant at first, but I'm so glad I gave it a shot. The first sip had a fun banana Laffy Taffy vibe, but the lime really came through and balanced out the sweetness. Surprisingly delicious! For food, I went with the Tater Tots, which were loaded with queso, ground beef, poblano crema, pico, and hot sauce. The portion was generous, and the flavors really came together nicely. Each bite was packed with a delicious mix of cheesy, spicy, and savory goodness. The overall vibe of Austin Taco Project is laid-back and fun, with TVs, a pool table, and games scattered around. It's a great spot to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy some flavorful bites. Highly recommend for anyone staying nearby or looking for a fun happy hour spot! read more

Updated: A Busser (I think because he served us water when we sat) came over and said he wanted to make it right. That he would make fresh eggs and indeed eggs were freshly cooked however, I can only give them one more star because while I was eating my eggs, I noticed a employee crush one of the bugs that I mentioned below and kick it 3 times across the restaurant to the bar area. WTH Bacon had no flavor but maybe they pull it together for lunch or the alcohol drinks are good but I would never eat here for breakfast. Especially since Austin has so many great breakfast places ‍ Breakfast is terrible Staying at Hilton and the buffet is crazy overpriced 31 and food looks to have been sitting or cooked ages ago so I chose to get 4 fresh eggs and bacon I asked if they made them fresh and just did not grab them from the boxed eggs in Buffett. they said they are made fresh to order and clearly not My glossy cold eggs came right from buffet Had to send back and chose to skip breakfast and Sorry Hilton associates with this place. We will have to find breakfast elsewhere Do not recommend this place Also we've seen 4 bugs on the floor as you see in picture read more

I could remember if I reviewed this place or not but this is a pretty cool restaurant at the hotel that you can get a quick bite at. My girlfriend and I ate here about a year ago and we used our diamond reward for the breakfast and I got to say the breakfast burritos were really good. I also want to say we had lunch here too or something. I can't remember but I know for a fact we both really enjoyed the breakfast burritos. I believe they still open late, which is nice. If you're looking for a quick bite , this is a spot to give a try. I remember giving them a five star because the breakfast burrito was actually quite good. If you're staying at this hotel, you don't feel like going far. You have some pretty good options here with their food selections . read more

I had lunch here during SXSW. Great food and service! The cactus tacos were flavorful and served piping hot (temp, not spice). There is a nice spacious patio next to the light rail. They have gluten free options. My husband has Celiac disease and asked the server about ordering. She was honest and advised they aren't able to accommodate someone with celiac disease (try to avoid cross contamination) due to the use of flour tortillas in addition to corn tortillas. We appreciated her honesty and he opted to just order a drink. So I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone with Celiac disease or a wheat allergy. read more

Best restaurant in Austin! We ate at several different restaurants, and ATP was definitely our favorite! We had the Baja Shrimp Tacos - a little spicy for me, but OH, the flavor! They were absolutely delicious! My husband really enjoyed the carne asada tacos. Their chips were delectable also! Our server was Vincent. He was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We wish we had eaten here before when we first got to Austin. The restaurant inside the main section of the Hilton is NOT good, so we really regretted discovering ATP on the last day of our visit. Decided to sit in the bar area. Since I'm in TX, I decided to first try the brisket tacos. These are street taco size and very tasty with a slight kick. Decided to order the asada and crispy fish tacos. Didn't care for the asada but the crispy fish taco was very good. Service is really good here and very attentive. I went here a couple of times cause it was close to the hotel. The first time was great. My tip definitely showed as the bartender took care of me with the awesome drinks all night "Hurricane". It was great. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken but in the end the reason it was not the greatest was the food was only so good. The service was only so hitting. The second time I went it was slower but they struggled to get my food to me. It was cold. It was very much like they where overwhelmed and mad we had something to say about it. So the second time I tipped just enough. Made me really sad thinking back on it but it's really just a hippy good looking place to drink. Eat if you'd desperate. But not really recommended. read more

Five stars for service and food. Atmosphere feels a little desolate as the location is not quite central -- and it does seem more like a hotel restaurant. I arrived before my friend, and the waiters were kind in allowing me time to linger before she arrived. Happy hour included drinks and some bites - I ordered the chips and salsa. When my friend arrived we split the poke with ahi tuna tacos and nopal tacos. Everything was tasty - especially the generous portion of tuna. Would definitely be perfect if staying in the hotel. read more

Conveniently located inside the downtown Hilton, this spot was a refreshing alternative to the usual bland hotel food. After long workdays, it was the perfect go-to, so much so that I ended up here two nights in a row. The atmosphere was relaxed and slow-paced, which meant easy seating and quick service--a definite win when you're looking to unwind. I spent my time at the bar, where the bartender was friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to kick back. And the tacos? Surprisingly good! Visited 4/27/22, was prompted to visit from coupon offered at a Yelp event. We sat at the bar and ordered some food and drinks. We ordered the free with coupon small Brisket Taco and also ordered the Poke Tacos. Both items were delicious and were pretty filling. The tuna was nice and fresh and a great color. I especially enjoyed the plate presentation for the items. I'd say it was less than 10 minutes after we ordered that we received our food items, very quick. We also tried the Texas Tequila Flight. It comes with 3 different tequila samples and a glass of some lime slices. My favorite from the flight was the 512 Tequila Austin. Our bartender/server chatted with us a bit about the tequilas and gave great information for what we were drinking. There are a few different games scattered around for you to play while waiting for your food or drinks. They also have a giant Jenga and some arcade games. It can get a bit noisy there inside and outside as it is located right next to the metro railway. We'll definitely be back to try out more of the menu and do the Top Golf! read more

We decided to go for breakfast at the Austin Taco Project while staying at the Hilton Downtown Austin. The restaurant is located inside the hotel. After walking into the restaurant we were greeted by a hostess who seated us after a few minutes. The restaurant is a decent size and there were tables and chairs, a few booths, and a bar. Quickly after we were greeted by our waiter and we told him that we were planning on having the breakfast buffet. He explained where to go and said he'd come back to check on us. While we were getting our food the waiter brought us some water to drink. The buffet was in a separate room. It had a variety of food that is typical for a buffet. I decided to try some fresh pineapple, scrambled eggs with some green salsa, bacon, potatoes, and a daily special. I also tried fresh baked bread with jam. To drink I poured myself some apple juice. The pineapple was good. It was fresh and sweet. The scrambled eggs were okay. The green salsa added flavor. The daily special was decent. It was a mix of eggs, brisket, peppers, onions, and cheese. The veggies that were in it added a little flavor and you could definitely taste the brisket and cheese. The bacon was warm, and crispy. I prefer my bacon that way so it was good. The potatoes had a little flavor. I liked the fresh baked bread with jam. The bread was soft and the jam was sweet. I like mixing my food so the combination of all of the food flavors and the bread with jam made for a good mixed breakfast plate. Before leaving the waiter came over and told us that they were going to close out the buffet and if we wanted to take anything he'd give us some boxes. We happily accepted and went and grabbed some pancakes, bread, bacon, muffins and chocolate filled croissants. Before leaving we placed an order to go for some Tacos. We ordered the Carne Asada tacos with just meat in flour tortillas and we ordered the Tajita Tacos which has chicken, peppers, onions, cotija cheese, pico de gallo, in flour tortilla. The tacos were a hit with our teens. This restaurant is known for their tacos and I will definitely try them next time. Overall we had a positive service experience and it was a convenient place for breakfast since it was located in the Hotel where we were staying. read more

Scientifically Perfect Austin is a big taco town and I have my favorites, and the Austin Taco Project is one of them. I am usually downtown regularly and was planning on dining at Cannon + Belle, but they were closed so came here instead for lunch. One thing to know is the prices here are a bit higher than other taco places around town, but don't let that scare you away where the food here is good. They also have a nice bar and games to play. The place was a bit busy and decided to try the Battered Fish. The menu described it is tortilla crusted cod, shredded cabbage, mango salsa, cilantro lime cream and corn tortilla. The fish tacos arrived in pairs and both had a big filet of fish. The batter on the fish was crispy and had a great taste. All the ingredients on it made it perfect. Eat this and will be full for the rest of the day. Austin Taco Project may not be the grab & go taco joint but if you want a place to sit and relax then perhaps a place for you. read more

Only reason for the 4 is the cocktails. I would give this a 5 for cocktails 2 for food. Honestly the vegetarian taco and the shrimp taco were the only ones worth any sort of payment. The others were decent at best. The bartender was our server and he was awesome. Cool little vibe in a hotel but not worth the money. In a place like Austin you would expect banging tacos. This was tacos that made you want to bang your head against the wall in disappointment. read more
