I came in and asked for a design that i found on the shops facebook page assuming it would be done correctly since it was a design that one of their techs did. My nail tech looked at the picture for 2 seconds and started doing my nails. She told me it'll be $100 which is an extremely inflated price, but i really wanted the design so i let her continue. The only adjustments i made to the design was that i wanted them shorter than the pic and i wanted pink v tip instead of white.The tech missed the fact that the pink v tip should have had glitter, and once i told her that the original design had glitter on the v tip, the tech told me it'll be another $10. I declined paying anymore money for This set, it's certainly not worth $110. Once again i feel taken advantage of by a nail salon. I left disappointed with my nails which is unfortunate because it looks like they do really good work online. It's also unfortunate that i was told their sets start at $55 but my sister was told by a different tech that the sets start at $60. Seems like they charge whatever they feel like at the time. I gave 2 stars cause she got the shape of my nails right, otherwise the customer service is terrible. If i pay $100 for a set of nails it should at least be what i want. read more

I went in for a simple nail design or so I thought. After waiting for a little while they seat me and I show the nail tech my inspo and he talks to the owner and the owner tells me to come back tomorrow because he has to mix 2 powders and he doesn't have time but he'll do them for me. I come back and I get a different nail tech and I show her the picture and she said it was easy so she starts doing my nails. She was rushing through the whole process and I even saw her put back some of the purple liquid she used on me into the container it was in which is pretty nasty. I thought everything looked fine and just asked her to file my nails down more because they were so thick. I go up to pay and it's $80, I didn't even get a design it was just acrylic but fine I needed my nails done for a quince I was attending. Once I get in my car and start driving I can see how my nails look in the sun light, (much different from the dim lighting they have inside) they looked terrible definitely not $80. I went back and tell them the nails look dirty, thick and they just don't look nice at all. The owner looks at them and says they're fine and the crusty will come off once I wash my hands which I had already done, which he then changed to "it should come off in 2 days". The quince was the next day I told them I wanted them fixed and I can tell he's talking shit about me to the other nail techs the entire time but whatever I need them fixed and I couldn't find another nail tech that could fix them. He tells me to come back again tomorrow before the quince to get them fixed so I leave again and come back tomorrow. I come in and I'm waiting for a while, finally the owner seats me and starts filing my nails, I tell him I want a different simple design (because I don't think they could do the ones I originally wanted) and I thought it would be easier. He tells me it's 10 extra dollars, I had already paid 100 including tip the day prior but the quince was in a few hours and he said he wouldn't remove them and give me a refund which annoyed me because if they had done them right I wouldn't have had to come back. So he waits until I agree to pay the $10 to continue, once he's done he passes me off to another nail tech who's very nice and friendly, fixed my nails and offered me shimmer for free. The owner comes up and starts saying something to her about the glitter even though I couldn't understand I knew he was talking about it. She finished and they looked really nice but the shimmer wasn't even cured with a second top of gel but I could already tell the owner was cheap and would charge me for it so I just went up to pay because they actually looked decent this time. He tells me my total is $20 when we agreed on $10? I tell him that I was told the shimmer was free and he charged me the $10 but the experience was terrible and a hassle for some simple nails they could've told me they couldn't do in the first place. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here they're prices don't match the quality, and the service is terrible. I ended up paying $110 in the end for my nails. read more

I called an hour before closed an asked if they had time for the service I wanted. They told me to come in, and the guy rushed through it so fast that half of my fingers got cut up, I left with hangnails and ripped nails that I didn't come in with. Most of my nails are super thick while a couple aren't, they have lumps in them. The polish was all over my fingers when I left and I had to scrub it off myself. The finish I asked for started flaking off the next morning. For $63 I shouldn't be embarrassed for people to see my nails. read more

So today was our third visit to the Aurora nail Bar the first two visits were amazing we went in and got the collagen pedicure however they were out of collagen so they replaced it with paraffin wax which was very delightful, today I wanted to treat my sister to a nice pedicure and when we ordered the exact same thing that we ordered the last two times, They said it would be a $10 charge to get the paraffin because they did not have the collagen which is not my problem if it's on their menu they should provide it he explained to us at the end that he was changing his menu OK but then in the meantime until you change your menu you should still offer the paraffin and replacement for the collagen since it is not my problem that you don't offer the collagen , at the end I shared my disappointment and he offered absolutely no compensation for the trouble, to me that is bad management and bad bad customer service I will no longer patronize the Aurora nail bar you lost my business as well as others. Ps Get you some team members that want to do their job because the two that we had were very weak in the massage for men doing the service and there was a lot of shoving around my feet and just being plain rude to me and my sister. read more

If I could give this salon 0 stars, I WOULD! I've been going to this place recently. Somehow, I end up with the rudest nail tech every time. He is a male tech, much older with glasses. He has no customer service and is NEVER friendly. Let's just say if you don't like something small about your nails, he throws such a big fit. He's worse than a child. Instead of fixing my nails, he told me to get out of his chair and see someone else. He walked off like a child with a tantrum. I spoke with the manager about how i was being treated and all he had to say is "Why did you see him? Why didn't you make an appointment with someone else?" The manager never apologized for his employee's behavior nor did he ask how he could fix my nails? I'm never coming back to this place. They are horrible and very low class. They all need training for customer service.!!!! read more

DO THEY EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING?! I had scheduled my appointment with a guy my friend recommended. When I got there I got someone else. I didn't mind, as long as they were capable. While shaping my nails she nicked me with the drill 2-3 times making me bleed one of those times. She couldn't do what I originally asked for, so I just decided on something else. No biggie. She does my nails. 5 minutes after being done, I sit next to my mom who was also getting her nails done. I begin to notice the polish peeling on one of my nails. She re does it. Then I notice another nail peeling. Then I talk to the manager, and he re did it. I walk to my car very upset. Then again notice ANOTHER one of my nails peeling. I go inside to complain. They did give me a discount, but only a few days after I see another nail peeling. They continued to peel for the rest of the time I had them. But didn't have time to go fix it. Now at this point it has been 3 weeks, and they are still peeling. She also filed my NATURAL nail done so much!!! Just overall not the best experience. read more

My first time at Aurora Nail Bar, I was not allowed to do the cheapest pedicure at $37.00, the male nail tech said no no no and pointed to the $45.00 and up priced pedicures...I chose $45.00 asked for French manicure with gel polish...my daughter also did the $45.00 pedicure with gel polish...our bill was $125.00...ladies watch their pricing...not sure why gel polish was an extra $35.00? I was not impressed for having paid for a $60.00 pedicure. Too expensive! read more

The nail tech I go to is amazing I followed her here from a prior salon, but this salon is run like garbage. They'll constantly set appointments that they don't stick too. I've been double booked and had to use someone else, they overlap appointments like crazy so you sit and wait forever even when you have appointments. They try way too hard to jam people in where they don't have time available, instead of giving people appointments they can stick to and provide good service. read more

I wanted to love my nails after seeing work on Yelp and Instagram however I'm disappointed. I had my nails done on Saturday and my gel polish is already chipped and my nails are extremely thick. The pedicure was subpar...they don't even rub your feet, only your calves and to be honest if I was blind I wouldn't even know someone was touching my legs. I will say that the salon was extremely clean which was great to see, and I was seated fairly promptly upon arrival. I'd suggest making an appointment with a specific nail technician because I saw work that was being performed by Jan the owner/manager which looked great. read more

You need to train your nail techs how to remove acrylic nails before someone seriously gets injured. During my pedicure, the nail tech started removing the acrylic off my finger nails with a tip of a fake nail ( in which she used several of them and then would put back in the container to use for another customer) along with nail clippers basically ripping them off one by one when she finally got to the last nail she ripped the top of my nail cutting it deep which caused it to bleed. She told me not to worry that she would put powder on it yet proceeds to glue a nail tip over the blood on my nail! I was in shock and it finally hit me that this was not OK, it didn't occur to me the last time they soaked my nails in acetone while they did my pedicure. I didn't let her finish my nails, and only paid for the pedicure- which should have been waived knowing I was upset. Do not go to this nail salon. I've been coming here for almost a year now and after investing a lot of money it's very disappointing that they left me with this traumatic experience. This is something that is suppose to be fun and non stressful so start treating your customers better! read more

This place came the closest to what I've wanted from acrylic nails. I usually never like the shape and thickness of the nail when finished but this salon does great shape and a much more sleek look to the nail. Plus they do such great detail work, good quality for the price. read more

The first time I came in was 3 months ago based off of a recommendation from a coworker, I am picky with shape and quality, but i went out on a limb and was extremely satisfied. The shop is beautiful and welcoming. The owner Jan did my nails, but looking around at everyone else's work, I can tell everyone here is very experienced with their craft. I've been to countless nail salons all over the valley in the past 10 years that I have lived here, and they do the best job by far overall. Needless to say they are my new salon, I knew right away. very reasonably priced for the quality of work- anyone that says they are expensive or overpriced doesn't understand the true quality of their work and time, because i have paid more to be way less satisfied- but here, my needs are met! I always have the perfect shape, perfect design, they can do anything. They never make you feel annoying or like an inconvenience, all very friendly and bonus is they are open a little later than most salons. I ALWAYS have my nails done, but I've never received so many compliments. I've sent everyone I know here and they are all regulars too now. Thank you read more

I wish i could leave 0 stars. This place is horrible. I went in for a simple manicure with a scheduled appointment. It was so many people there so i had to wait 2 hours. They rushed my manicure and i ended up having bubbles and chips in my gel polish. I went back 2 days later to get a touch up and same thing happened. They also didn't let me wash my hands after filing my nails. Instead the guy rubbed the nail debris on my arms with lotion. read more
