Food here is very nice. I orderred roasted fillet as the owner recommanded their fish, and I can tell the fish is fresh. Dessert here is also awesome. Actually, I am attracted by the photo of the dessert! It tastes just as I imagined it to be. Price is fare, and the food amount offerred is actually large, definetely makes me full. People here are kind and polite, and I enjoyed talk with them. Everything here is just so charming, I especially like the interior decoration, I think the owner has a very nice taste for choosing artwork! I will definetely coma back if I bisit Paris again! Walking into Au Reveil du XV is like walking through a time warp it could be 1960s or earlier with the decor and feel of the place. It is not too big but the food and the service are exceptional. The gentleman who ??runs/owns?? the place showed us the meat (rump steak) and fish (sole) we would be eating, and less than 10 minutes later, it arrived at our table, perfectly cooked and accompanied by the perfect portion of vegetables. We could not have asked for a better meal. The final plus was the price, which was very reasonable for an amazing meal. read more

I rarely give 5 stars, but expected this to be bar food and it was so much better. We absolutely loved this little place! The owner spoke great English, it's in an odd part of town, so was never too crowded... and we went back multiple times. Some Delta crews from America seemed to like it too as they were there all three times we went to this unknown gem. The duck breast with mushrooms was awesome in my opinion, but the Sea Bass or Scallops with wine sauce were also very good. This place is DEFINITELY the best restaurant I've been to since I got to Paris. We had a party of 7 and Oliver welcomed us like family. We felt right at home. Not even that, the food was superb. Fantastic French food in a comfortable ambience, with very friendly owners! This is a small brasserie and it is not in a touristy part of the city. The owners are very kind, and they were very patient with my efforts to speak French. They speak good English themselves. I had the chicken in cream sauce with mushrooms and the strawberry min soup with lemon sorbet for dessert. Every bite was like heaven in my mouth. It was my last meal in Paris before returning to the United States, and I feel like I can now leave the city without eating anything else and feel very content. This little place isn't exactly a secret--I met two nice Delta airline pilots eating dinner there as well. They eat there regularly it seems. And it shouldn't be a secret, with how good it is. The owners don't know that Yelp exists, but now you know they exist! Go eat there and enjoy :) read more

Absolute best dining experience, customer service, food, and environment!! The owner greeted us on arrival, made sure we were comfortable and brought us a fantastic bottle of Bordeaux. My boyfriend and I both ordered the chicken with oyster mushrooms which we agreed was our favorite meal thus far in our two weeks traveling to five different countries! I believe it was the owners daughter who served us most of the night and she was absolutely the cutest, so sweet, and provided us with great service :). After dinner we were brought after dinner drink and espresso. It was such a friendly and relaxing environment we didn't even realize we spent a little over two hours there! This dining experience was a party for our taste buds. We started with the goat cheese salad. I then had the scallops while my wife enjoyed the Sea bass. Our friends had salmon and sea bass prepared another way. Everyone raved about their meal. We finished with Creme Brule and the strawberry soup with lemon sorbet. This is one of my favorite restaurants I've been to in France. If you request mushrooms in garlic it's amazing and a huge plate! I had the scallops in cream and my dad had the chicken, both were amazing! By far the best is the goat cheese salad and I wish I had enough room to get another one. I don't really understand the negative review as the menu clearly shows the price of salads and they do ask what one you'd like. I found pricing to be extremely reasonable. Came there purely based on Yelp recommendation and I feel obliged to recommend back. The food was awesome. We had duck, chicken with mushrooms and a smoked salmon salad. Everything was extremely tasty. We also had a chocolate cake with English cream that was served warm and lasted about 5 seconds in our table. Having said that, the food paled in comparison with the service. The place was strangely empty (or maybe not as it was Monday at 8:30 p.m) and the owner/cook/server attended us with an extraordinary humor. We had a nice chat, he was helpful when choosing food and offered some complimentary drinks. He was also thoughtful to leave us space to talk privately during dinner, but came back after for another chat. We just had the most amazing dinner with our friend, owner & chef Olivier at his quaint little restaurant here in Montparnesse. It started with peanuts, Lays potato chips & French bread. They suggested the broccoli & goat cheese salad for starters which were perfect. For entree Tiff got the duck & I the creamy scallops. Best I've ever had. Olivier kept sending us free stuff through the night. He gave Tiff the bottle of Bordeaux for way less, bought me an extra beer, sent us tasty chocolate mousse with cream, Cappucinos & to top it off, a digestive of Cognac all on the house. We expected the bill to be much higher, but it was more than fair for the quality & quantity. We also met two Delta pilots from Texas who frequent the place as well. If you EVER find yourself here, please go see Olivier as he will treat you like family. Beyond impressed & we will go back for brunch. I travel to Paris 30 plus times a year on my job. This is my favorite restaurant in Paris. Oliver and Nadia are so welcoming and the food always exceeds my expectations. Some of my favorites are duck confit, duck breast, steak with peppercorn sauce, sea bass, and the goat cheese and herring salads. But you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It is somewhat out of the way but definitely worth the trek. Prices are very reasonable. As a matter of fact I am about to leave my hotel, hop on the subway and enjoy dinner there right now! read more

I started with a goat cheese medallion salad which was phenomenal. I was then offered Seabass which tasted more like tilapia. I was very disappointed in this and in talking to the flight attendants who were sitting next to me, they also believed it was not Seabass. I ended the dinner with a fine cheesecake covered and raspberry sauce which was absolutely divine. It was the smoothest cheese cake I have ever had and the raspberry sauce was something I will think about for a very long time. A bottle house red or house white wine was included. It cost me approximately €35 which I found to be quite expensive when I believed it was going to be approximately €17. The owner is quite charming, welcoming, and complimentary however, I don't feel that there was good value in this restaurant. I more than likely will not be back. read more

Great find! Food is very tasty and good selection...best thing is the complementary table wine...nothing special but good French wine to go with the meal. Desserts were very good as well. I usually have the steak with green pepper sauce and it's cooked as I like it, med rare, and the peppercorn style sauce is a very tasty addition. Last time I had the sea bass, as it was fresh just that day and it too was amazing...I hit this place up every trip to Paris. Highly recommend and English is understood well by the staff.
