I decided to call Attica Green Solution because they currently have a special promotion of $85 (normally $400) to clean any droppings and rodent proof your attic. We just moved to Temecula last year and discovered that rats and mice live in the area, so I just wanted to make sure they couldn't gain access to our attic where we used to have all kinds of critters (squirrels, raccoons) back in the state of RI. Mike came in to inspect and confirmed that everything looked fine. Insulation was up to standard and he made sure there were no tunnels to indicate rodent infestation. Mike was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and informative. This company doesn't charge fees if no cleanup or additional work other than inspection is necessary. The advertisements on this company is extremely misleading and very expensive. I kept seeing $85 attic cleanup with proofing. Sounded a bit too good to be true and it was. They had someone come to provide this service to my home and I was told if additional services were needed that they would let me know. Of course the guy comes and just gives an estimate. The estimate is for $3000! How is that remotely close to $85. First section said proofing for $650. They had no intention to come to my home and honor their running advertisement its just a way to do a consult for you to give you a bigger estimate and in my case waste my time. read more

We couldn't be happier with this service. This company took care of the rats in the attic areas, and filled gaps in the roof/garage/gutters/and vent areas. Service was exactly what we needed. They filled the gaps, blew in new insulation, and repaired a few ducts in the attic that the rats nested in. We did receive a nice binder from a bigger company but that just showed us they had too much for advertising and we were going with a smaller business for more personal care. Our contract called for 13 inches of insulation to be installed, but only 10 inches of insulation was installed in several areas. We attempted to contact them MANY times by phone but their message stated that no one was available to take our call as they were going through internal adjustments and that we were to please leave a message and they would get back to us. I've also sent an email requesting they contact us ASAP. No one has gotten back to us. tl;dr - the team was great, my 1942 place was musty and after cleanup there is a noticeable difference in the smell of my house. I highly recommend the Attica team. The details: I received the $85 cleanup special mailer, did some research and saw that these guys had a good reputation so I gave them a call. The scheduler mentioned that if there were more than 1 or 2 rodent fecal spots that the $85 special would not apply. I had a bunch of spots so I asked her to schedule the appointment for a quote. The team sent Mike out to do the quote, and he took a look in the attic and then down in the crawlspace. My crawlspace is short, so he had to get in there and do a lot of crawling around to thoroughly inspect it. Once he was done, he worked with his boss to get an accurate quote and the price was attractive enough for me to sign up. The team showed up with two trucks, and at least 6 guys who immediately got to work setting up a plastic tunnel to the attic and crawl space to keep the dust down. The team started removing the insulation and ended up filling my front yard with bags of old insulation, and then they spent hours vacuuming the attic while they raked and cleaned the crawlspace. They then put down the plastic and started sealing the all the holes in my attic and crawlspace to prevent the rats from getting back in. The two crew leaders were friendly, informative and the entire crew was respectful to me and my property. When they were finished, they cleaned up everything, including picking up debris off of the lawn before they left, and then they sent after work photos so I could see everything. read more

Mike came out on a Sunday to do the inspection - turns out we had a major mouse infestation in the attic. He very thoroughly explained the extent of the problem and the proposed method for remediation. Two days later, Josh and his crew arrived at 8:30 am and began removing the old insulation. What a mess we had in the attic. Attica cleaned it, found the openings the critters were using to get into our attic and sealed them. They removed our old, soiled insulation and replaced it. Before the new insulation the entire attic was spreading with bleach. What a difference that made. The house doesn't smell any more. Can't say enough good things about this company. I was hesitant to call Attica but they made it very easy to set up an appointment. I wish that I would have known the scale of pricing before they came but they did do a great job. I was shell shocked as I thought I would just be getting the 85 dollar cleaning. It turned out that my attic had lots of rodent activity and droppings and they had burrowed into the insulation. They scheduled the appointment to replace the insulation and rodent proof the attic the next day. Original quote was for 6500 but because they didn't have a job the next day and offered a 1000 dollar off coming in at 5500. They offer financing thankfully as I was not expecting such a large number because of the work that was required. They finished removing the old dirty insulation and installation of the new in around 8 hours. We did incur an issue that they caused but they fixed and notified me about it immediately. The only thing I wish that would have been explained to me from the beginning was the installation of the attic fan that is free but they do not wire it so it is not wired or working. They did not solve the rat activities that we have up in our attic and that's the main reason we called them. We called them a lot of times for the whole year because of the continuous rat activities up in our ceiling/attic and did not give us proper solution to the problem. When the one year was ending, Louie, the last person to come, just said, I can't do anything anymore. I'll have my manager call you. I waited for their call but no call, and I called their office and the receptionist just said, I'll ask Louie about it and no more contact or call from them.
