Now this place is deliciously decadent and dangerous. Don't come here if you're on a diet! We ordered several of the biscuit sandwiches and were blown away by the flavors. For starters, the biscuits are delicious. They aren't dry on their own and the savory flavor bomb of the gravy was next level. The Franklin has a crispy buttermilk fried chicken topped with crunchy bacon, an over medium egg (optional), and drenched in the gravy that was to die for. The K-Mack has that sweet heat of Korean fried chicken with a delicious crunchy slaw to round out the sandwich. Both were delicious. Great ambiance at the restaurant with self serve coffee and a variety of different size cups so you can load up on the caffeine. Great and fast service. You can order gravy on the side to top as you see fit. Great, tasty experience and can't wait to go back and try the massive cinnamon roll and pizza. My only (mild) complaint is that the gravy could have been hotter. If visiting Denver, check this place out! read more

Came here with a large group for a bachelor party, and the servers and the team were fantastic dealing with all of the rowdiness. Pizzas here are HUGE, NYC style so they'll take up most of the table. Very thin crust with scattered toppings, so just be aware that's the style that they're serving. Beer and drink selection was excellent. Servers were again great and very friendly, relaxed with our large group. No nearby parking lot. Near the bar district with plenty of places to go have a drink afterwards within walking distance. Would be great to start your night here for food and then wander around afterwards! read more

I really wanted to like it. We're here for a tournament and it is the 4th of July with my two children. It's not busy but service has been beyond slow. The girl has barely checked on us. Our drinks have been gone since we received the burgers. My pizza was a bit on the dry side but the burgers are actually quite good. Also we received regular fries instead of waffle fries without being notified. We'd have skipped them all together or only ordered one side instead. The ambience is nice, it's a cute place. I just wouldn't come back. Guess I'm used to the service levels in Las Vegas. read more

I had Atomic Cowboy bookmarked from years ago, after watching the infamous DDD on Food Network. The opportunity to try it out arose on a weekend trip to Denver. Our AirBnB was nearby and we decided to make a late lunch. Little did we know that the full-size pizza was ... well let's just say comically huge. Do we regret ordering it? Absolutely not. We had leftovers to last us the entire weekend. Size aside - the pizza was actually delicious. We built our own with pepperoni and mushrooms. The sauce, the cheese... everything complemented each other. We didn't try anything else on the menu because well ... the pizza took up the entire table, literally. I would definitely come back and order more pizza the next time I'm in Denver. read more

Atomic Cowboy - Colfax - The size of this pizza is unreal. My husband is not a tiny man. - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This is actually a shared restaurant with Fat Sully's Pizza, Denver Biscuit, and Atomic Cowboy - which means you have the flexibility to order from any and all 3 of their menus. They have a few seats for outdoor dining and a handful of indoor seating available - high tables or booths. Plus they have a full bar with great service. Came here to try out Denver Biscuit for brunch around 1pm.. and might as well try one of their cocktails - it's 5-o-clock somewhere right? I am a huge fan of Moscow mules so I had to try their Strawberry Rhubarb Mule. I have to say, wow! The ratio of the vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer were perfect - not too strong and super tasty. I also really liked the hint of strawberry rhubarb jam. Highly recommend the strawberry mules ($9). They have Happy Hour on Monday-Friday from 4-6pm - $6 cocktails + other items! read more

I saw the Golden location when we were there the day before and realized it was a chain, so we decided to get breakfast at the East Colfax location on St. Patrick's Day. I'm glad we decided to walk back to LoDo afterwards because it was a YUGE meal. The regular style biscuit is good on its own, but you MUST get the French toast style biscuit. I got the Lola, and my friend got the Dahlia. The honey butter and apple butter are SO good as are the Nashville hot chicken, bacon, and sausage. Very good orange juice and grapefruit juice as well. I wish I had more time to come back for the dinner menu because that burger and pizza look damn good. Service was great, and it was pretty easy to get seated at the bar. Definitely on my list when I make it back to Colorado. read more

Food: Had the 'Lights Out' burger, supposedly the best burger in Denver. Overall it was good. The sauce tasted nice, meat itself was good and had a nice flavor. Found it a little odd though that the onions were chopped, not sliced, and it didn't have any lettuce/tomato so there was no freshness to the burger (because the onions were sauteed). Another complaint is the pickles, I know this is a weird complaint but the pickles were sweet, and not dill pickles, which is was I expect and prefer on a burger. I've had better burgers before. Fries were good and crispy, like the waffle shape. Service: This is also where things come short. My friend and I ordered burgers, while my other two friends got pizzas. One of them is gluten free so they told him his might be out a little later. Strangely enough, his pizza was the first one to be delivered. One to two minutes later the other pizza comes out. About five to ten minutes goes by and my friend and I don't have our burgers. We ask our waiter, and he explains that they have six, SIX chefs working on the pizzas and only ONE working on making burgers. They get a lot of DoorDash orders and he said they kind of get tossed together. Anyways another 5 to ten minutes goes by and we finally get our burgers. Unfortunately, everyone else is done with their pizzas :(. My friend spilled her drink and broke the glass unfortunately, but our server was very kind and offered her another one on the house. Ambience: This was very nice! I liked all the games we had, especially since we had to wait a long time for our food. It was entertaining playing a game while eating. I also enjoyed that they made it fun by letting kids have free hot chocolate. Overall: This was my first time here and I did not have the greatest of all experiences. Would I give it a second chance? Probably. But if you're expecting the 'number one burger in Denver' you're going to have to wait 30 minutes. read more

We stopped for lunch and tried a few slices of the awesome pie. Everyone in the party was happy with their slice once we figured out how to order. Options for "slice" are pretty basic and there aren't any specialty type pies by the slice. We were good with that and the "basics" were fantastic and fairly affordable. The real hit at the table were the garlic knots. These things just slapped. Perfect on all fronts and I could have demolished an entire order by myself. We also tried the garlic fries. They were out of the waffle fries and had a regular fry substitute and they were a solid "meh." Want to come back and try larger, specialty pies to check them out. read more

These garlic knots are dangerously good! The BEST I've ever had! I loved them with the pesto mozzarella dip and my husband preferred them with the marinara....thankfully they come with both! We had them on happy hour for $6....what?! We also had a slice of pepperoni pizza each. These are MASSIVE! There were only two of us and I'm so glad we didn't order a large. It's the size of a dinner table. The crust was fantastic, crunchy in spots but still chewy. And you can never go wrong with the little pepperonis. Four beers, two slices of pizza and the best garlic knots I've ever had for $30. I'm sold! read more

Went here for a family birthday burger... staff was lazy and sluggish. my brother and I each ordered a "pint of beer" (as advertised) with our lunch. The "pint" of beer was $7, which would've been fine if it was actually a pint, BUT the cups looked super small, so we asked the manager (dreadlocks and Hawaiian shirt) if he could verify that it was a pint. He poured 16 oz of water into a pitcher and had us verify it, then, attempted to pour it all into the alleged "pint" glass. He filled it all the way to the brim,(which was more than the bartender filled) and there was clearly 2-4 oz of water remaining in the pitcher. When we said "yep, so not a pint" he said "what do you want me to do, give you each a sip of beer?", to which my brother replied "when I pay for a pint, I want a pint". Instead of owning it, despite verifying that they were falsely advertising, the manager refunded us for the beer, and told us that we were never allowed back. read more

The burgers were amazing and the service was great, I had a burger for breakfast! I want to go back soon!

I truly did not know how huge the pizza was going to be, stopped here with my hockey team and we had plenty of food to say the least.

Pizza is not bad but nothing to rave about. Being open late is great, love having a place to get a late night pizza slice.

I am so glad I chose to eat here before going axe throwing. The vibe here is very relaxed and welcoming. Lots of people get thrown off with the address and the little to go pizza window when driving by on the main street , the sit down establishment is right on the corner, find a street parking and walk in to be seated. There is bar seating , booths , open table seating. The vibe is a pinup funky retro space punk rock feeling. My type of place. Great beers and pizzas to chose from. The pizzas if you order their largest one will take up the entire table! It's a nice large thinner style pizza. I ordered some bread knots as an appetizer and a cider as well. I'll definitely be coming back here as the service was great. read more

Good ambience and great food. Wish we would have come back for breakfast. It's a totally different menu for lunch and dinner versus breakfast. The service was quick but our server looked like he did not want to be there which was odd because we were one of few tables at the time. Would recommend for a local spot with little fuss. read more

This started great, I was recently there just I wanted to get quick slice. Order from their outside window thinking it might take 15mins at most. I was there for 30mins and no pizza! When I ask the employees if my order was coming soon? This idiots had lost my order and on top of all rude..&@?! Another lady that was next to me had the same problem, but she had been waiting for 50mins..!! She left pissed off. Their pizza is good but not worth the painful hassle. Don't waist your time. And for your management and owners get it together in making sure your employees reflect a good product!! read more

The food here is usually very good and the servers are kind and attentive! My only real complaint is that I've come here twice now and arrived a few minutes earlier than the friends I was meeting and had staff refuse to seat me as an incomplete party. That is their policy at atomic cowboy and totally reasonable except that both times this has happened to me I've seen people come in and join an incomplete party that was seated before me and/or watched other people tell the hostess they were waiting on their party but still be seated. If I wasn't coming here for trivia weekly I wouldn't continue to come here given that there appears to be highly unequal practices regarding seating incomplete parties. read more

We came here earlier this month. Whenever we go to a new city, we try and go to a restaurant that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We headed to Atomic Cowboy straight from the airport. We came in on opening day of the Rockies AND it was around lunch time, so it was pretty hectic. We grabbed a seat on the bar. Atomic Cowboy is made up of two restaurants: Fat Sully's Pizza and Denver Biscuit Company. We both ended up ordered from the biscuit side and the food came out very fast. It was very yummy and very filling. Server was very nice and the space is very cool. They have a few tables outside as well. read more

I decided to grab a couple slices to-go at their to-go window. There was a short line and a little bit of a delay before someone helped us at the window even though you can see them all working in the kitchen. The guy who took our order was super friendly. We order a slice of extra cheese pizza and one with regular cheese. We waited about ten minutes and got the slices in a box to go. Once home, unveiling the slices inside the box -- they are huge!! One is bigger than my face and probably equivalent to two slices. The extra cheese choice was perfect because their cheese is good!! I was stuffed after that one slice. Definitely a must try and will be back to eat in since I'm sure fresh out of the oven is even better! read more

Love, Love the pizza! It's on our "absolutely have to take guests from out of town" list. The prices are good, we usually go for the Big A** Slice so everyone can choose their toppings. Also, this means each slice you order comes out fresh and hot from the oven! The slices are huge so we usually will all order two. My favorite toppings are pepperoni and fresh basil. I have never had a negative experience here! read more

Great pizza! Not from around here but have family, first time having it this weekend and I think it's my new favorite

We came here based on reviews and it did not disappoint. Kids eyes nearly bugged out of their heads upon first bite. And the portions were absolutely huge! If you want a seat on the very small patio, be prepared to wait. For a seat inside, it was a two minute wait. Service was good, price were average for quantity/quality, and the food was excellent. Totally would go back. Only quibble is that the menu states waffle fries and only after I ordered and the waitress was practically walking away did she say "oh we are out of waffle fries, so regular fries are okay right". Yep, nope, they are not the same....and I would've ordered hashbrowns instead if it hadn't been thrown over her shoulder as she was walking away. read more

More like 2.5 but i'll give that half point to them cause it could've been worse... Kevin our server seemed bothered by us the entire time. We ordered drinks and saw them sitting by the edge of the bar for far too long before Kevin grabbed them and handed them off to us. (if it was busy i wouldn't have minded) (it wasn't busy) Then when it came to our food, we could see our orders waiting in the window for way toooooo long before it was handed off to us, there were people in there looking at us weird (an old conservative man) and honestly we were put at an awful table. Tbh.. the food wasn't bad but the vibes sucks, and our server could've been kinder. My friend also got super sick after eating the tender belly bacon on her pizza... make sure that pork is at temp. Wish I would've saved my money. read more

Delicious, generous amounts of food heaped on a plate for your dining pleasure. Enormous biscuits with a variety of options did not disappoint. The atmosphere is classy but also laid back. Loved it! We sat at the upper bar with a great view of the whole restaurant. It was pretty busy. We signed up through yelp for the waiting list which was nice, they text you when your table is ready. There's some cool shops in the area, funky and hip so there's some good window shopping as you wait. I thought the prices were very reasonable especially for the amount of food you receive. OMFG. I've never had a pizza so big. They say 26 inches but I think it was bigger. It almost covered the entire table. We order a bunch of toppings all of which were tasty and plentiful. Because the pie had a tear in it, they brought over a single slice that must have weighed 3 pounds. No lie. Not sure what else they have in the menu but it did not matter. Yum! The Atomic Cowboy slings the booze for Denver Biscuit Company and Fat Sully's Pizza. Love having these three unique businesses under one roof. In fact, Denver has quite a few of these spaces popping up and they are just THE BEST! Reasons I am totes a fan of The Atomic Cowboy: 1) They make a KILLER Bloody Mary (Atomic Bloody Mary)!! One of my favorites in the city for sure. 2) TONS of Colorado local brews available on tap! 3) Friendly AF bartenders that know their way around a liquor cabinet. 4) Fantastic food available throughout the day!! In the morning you can satisfy your breakfast/brunch craving with biscuits from Denver Biscuit Company (get the Elmer, add an egg) and in the afternoon/evening you can grub on some tasty Fat Sully's 'za! I love the boozy beverages served up at The Atomic Cowboy and I love the concept even more! I know that I will be back many more times and with many more friends in the future! read more
