Latte and an oatmeal cookie
Lita V.

I need this place to be here! Friendly new little coffee shop in the middle of heavy traffic. Take a break from the street and drop in. They have baked goods, coffee beans, and yummy drinks. This is better quality than Starbucks. Raise your pinky finger and take a sip.

Too expensive, bacon was so hard and the bread was like a rock. The quantity is low for the price.

When I went to pick it up, I grabbed a saucer to avoid spilling on my way back to my seat. Before I could even walk away, one of the baristas snatched it from my hand and said, "You're not allowed to use that. The saucers go with the latte mugs!" I paused, glanced at the empty café behind me, and replied, "There are plenty available--surely I can use one." He continued, in a dismissive tone, speaking to me in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful. I chose to walk away and still enjoy my pour-over. But it's not just about serving good coffee. As Maya Angelou reminds us, people will always remember how you made them feel. And in this space, I felt unwelcome. As a paying customer--one who tipped in advance--that behavior felt undeserved and unwarranted. For that reason, there's no need to return.

Nothing about the outside tells you anything. Just a door. Easy to miss, easy to walk past. We…read morealmost did. Glad we did not. Inside it's a whole thing. Long hallway, people scattered at tables, and then you take a left and suddenly there's this room with round study tables and dividers that give each spot just enough space without making it feel like a library cubicle. Actually it kind of does feel like a library. One room does anyway. Another room goes full cafeteria. The furniture doesn't exactly match and I don't know what the overall vibe is supposed to be but it works. It just works. We went in the middle of the day. Busy but quiet in that way where the energy is there but nobody is performing. If you want a table you need a reservation. Good to know going in. We kept it simple. French fries, carrot cake, milk tea for me and a Korean coffee for Fadi. The carrot cake was legitimately great. The menu has a lot more going on than our choices reflect. I looks like they do some Italian things, among other stuff. I am pretty sure I saw carbonara on the menu so yea, we barely scratched the surface. Forgot to check if it's open late night but if it is, what a great spot for late night studying. There's just something about it that makes you want to share it; not post it, share it, like actually grab a friend and walk them through the door so they can have the experience themselves. We'll be back soon, probably with people in tow.

She let me know that Memorylook is known for einspanners and they have their own parking lot. When there's a parking lot on-site, say less.. Parking wasn't too difficult to come by, and there are even a few electric charging spots if you need it. I stopped by around noontime and there were people inside/outside chatting, working, taking pics in the photobooth, etc. The line went by quickly and I had my hojicha einspanner in no time! It was so tasty!! The cream top was light and not too sweet. The hojicha was smooth. I really enjoyed it, and the latte definitely helped me keep cool while driving around LA on such a hot day. If I lived in LA, I could see myself coming here to do work on my laptop or to meet a friend. Such a cute, spacious spot!

The cream top works nicely with the matcha, the matcha flavor is pretty light Blood Orangeade 1/5: this was honestly not my fav. I didn't end up finishing it, it tasted like syrup+sparkling water. The drinks weren't spectacular, but given the easy parking and tables, I'd prob come back to study
