The greek Movers were punctual and kind, but did an absolutely terrible job with the moving process. I wanted to hold off on this negative review for as long as possible, but this was the last straw. I went with them a few months ago due to their good reviews, but in retrospect, I really should've listened to the negative ones. They ended up chipping mqultiple walls of the interior of the house that we moved into, destroyed our furniture items, instruments, and more. In all, they caused tens of thousands of dollars of damages to valuable antique furniture items and instruments during our move. I attempted to reach out to them on numerous occasions regarding their cargo insurance policy, but was told that the boss wasn't available and to "email" or that "I'd receive a call back." This could not have been farther from the truth, as I received no response after 7-8 calls and emails to their company. Fast forward a few months, and I finally decided to reach out to the Better Business Bureau. The Greek Movers didn't respond to the BBB either, so I just escalated my case to the attorney general who'll be doing a proper investigation. Please - look somewhere else for your move. Greek Movers helped me greatly to clear out a rented storage unit. There was one item, a very large, vintage wooden and glass family heirloom that had been stored since my mother-in-law's passing several years ago. Although the move was only a single item, moved a relatively short distance to residence, Greek organizer Peter Kaffen cheerfully offered to complete the job at a reasonable flat rate. The two mover team, Vince and Aladdin, arrived at the storage facility, and carefully loaded the piece of furniture onto the large moving van. At my residence, the height of the cabinet presented a bit of a challenge, having only a fraction of an inch clearance to fit vertically through the tallest doorway, but the fellas made it through and placed it squarely and precisely onto the preferred spot I had chosen - without a scratch or any damage whatsoever! Just let elsewhere at this point. If you need to speak to upper management there's is never one available. I have been attempting to speak to someone in upper management for going on 72 hours now and every single time, they are busy on another line. We disassembled EVERYTHING prior to the movers arriving in order to save on time, it took them 5 hours to only load and unload 11 items! I utilized services from this moving company on 7/24/2020, it was initially scheduled for the men to arrive between 7 and 8 am. I received a call at 7:40 am stating Uhaul opens at 8 am and they were waiting because Their own vehicle did not work. They did not arrive until 8:40 am. They got to pricing and stated it would be two trips and they would not charge for drive time between properties. I notified them to handle my large items with care. As I was unwrapping items in my home during their 2nd round I noticed a gouge on my floors in the master bedroom(as seen in picture) and a chunk taken off on the white dresser(in pictures). I texted the guy since he did not answer his phone reminding them to be more careful. They were only moving large items. As went to grab something from my vehicle during their 2nd round of unloading, I witnessed them men almost dropping my refrigerator from the uhaul, the doors had opened, they were struggling holding it up with their straps and the few groceries left in there had fallen out(a few ice pops and frozen meat). When I suggested they use the dolly, they stated "picking it up is easier." At this point I had to babysit their every move. They scratched the door handles on my refrigerator and broke the top part of it(in pictures), They attempted to hook it up to the water line for the refrigerator and about an hour after they left I heard hissing. My husband immediately looked back there and it was SOAKED (in photos). They broke our water line and we had to run out and purchase one. They also gouged our table and owned up to it as the guy was touching it when I noticed and said so calmly, " I did that, huh?" (in photos). Our sons trampoline has missing parts now and the gentleman were observed STEPPING ON our personal items, including the trampoline parts that are now missing. To top it off they forced my sons trampoline as they were trying to put it in their rented uhaul (pictured). After they left, we noticed our screws were still taped to the bed, THEY OUT IUR BED TOGETHER WITHOUT PUTTING THE SCREWS IN! It's been going on 72 hours now that I have spoken to multiple virtual assistants and they've send multiple messages adding urgent on them and neither person (Peter or Jonni) are available. When asking how many supervisors there are the answers are inconsistent. When I called back to back to try speaking to a manager some assistants stated the managers were on the phone others stated the manager was out for the day, these answers were given inconsistently minutes apart from each other. As suggested, take your business elsewhere, not only did they ruin the 5 out of 11 items they moved, but they also gouged flooring in BOTH locations. And lastly, the movers that damaged our items were Slater and Sammy. I was wanting to write a positive review, but seeing how unresponsive this company is very unfortunate. I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere, yes they're affordable but their rates come with a price after the move occurs and it's all out of your pocket because they do not have full coverage insurance as stated by Andrew Douglas, one of the phone assistants/movers who I spoke to. This was our second time using the Greek Movers as our first time was just fine. This time wasn't good at all. They movers showed up later than originally told to us. Keep in mind these guys mainly get paid by the hour $189/hr for 4 movers. They took roughly 30-45 minutes just to get started after walking the house, and having me sign waivers. Once started they stopped so many times to SMOKE, and chat about other jobs. Furthermore they put dents in our walls, scratched up multiple locations on our floors because of their laziness to do it correctly. Our first move with the same amount of stuff took 5 hours total to load and unload, this time took 8 hours! I feel they ripped us off and then when we spoke to them about it all they said there's nothing they can do. I'll make sure to never recommend them again. read more

Hired the movers one day prior to move pre-boxed items, dressers, two refrigerators, and other household items since I'm injuried. Not only did they arrive on time, but completed the job in a minimal amount of time. It was a two-man crew and they were professional and very hard-working. I don't know if the gentlemen who did the move for my parents were new to the job which is why I was forgiving. But, today I was going to give them a until they quoted me a terrible quote for a simple service. I respect hard working people... and I would never hinder someone's livelihood and people have bad days. But when they gave me their quote today I was so disappointed and felt I needed to post this now. Here is why I only gave 3 stars. And I think that's gracious. I paid almost 500 last time with a tip. 1) The gentlemen seemed extremely inexperienced. Simply moving or reversing their moving truck was a nightmare. They literally took 20 minutes trying to figure out that they needed to lift the ramp some to be able to back up. I had to pay for that time. And I had to be the one to suggest it to them. 2) The young men did not know how to dismantle a fridge and did not notify us to dismantle in advance. Took them 45 minutes to figure out how to take off the doors. 3) They broke a part for the inside of the fridge. 4) Overall they moved about with a poor demeanor. I offered them food, water, and even gave them a good tip. I didn't complain. I just was not happy with their service. I was not happy with their demeanor. Do not ever use this company!!!!!!! They broke our dining room table!! They unloaded things into rooms supposed to go in. They unlock the door to a room that they were not supposed to have access to, then they left stead out of the driveway without even saying a word. After they left there was still lots of items in our driveway the side of our yard and we even found items like things from Mike for my kitchen and my Verizon modem and a table in my bushes. Koby, Rafael, and Alledine arrive on time and immediately started working. They were an organized system of operation. Their experience was apparent. I found their discipline and strength was impressive. They took careful with my items. Rafael added tape and labeling as needed. Rafael organized my stuff in a holding pattern that made it easier for Koby to supervise the flow to the truck from my apartment. Alledine stacked items in the truck methodically that showed seamless organization. Upon arrival to my storage room, the men worked quickly and it was again, the best display of my goods. They provided a walkway through my 10x30 storage room, when needed, I can access boxes or add boxes. These men were professional, clean, experienced, nice, kind, friendly, supportive, and respectful. On move day I requested 3 movers, and was very grateful for Nick, Brandon and Justin. They were courteous, expedient, and innovative (due to the unavailability of shoe covers, they quite cleverly came up with the idea of shrink wrapping their shoes). However, when I tell you that from the moment I called to inquire on a quote for my move my mind was at ease! The warm, welcoming energy I was given by the Greek movers when I called immediately let me know I had come to the right place. Originally I was supposed to move out on Saturday afternoon, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to switch my move out to Sunday. I called and they were very accommodating! I received a new calendar email within minutes with my new date, time, and the names of the gentlemen who would be assisting me. The morning of my move, about 15 minutes prior to my appointment window of 7-8am, I received a call letting me know they were on the way! Drew and Meeks arrived around 7:10ish, and from the moment they walked in, they were helpful, efficient, timely, and never once rushed me! They introduced themselves, so friendly and professional! Any questions I had, they answered with no problem. They wrapped my appliances and grandfather clock, threw out my old couches, and really made this move the easiest of transitions! Yesterday we called for a partial office move which included disassembly of some furniture and moving into a split storage unit at the same location. They were punctual, went and purchased a tool from Hone Depot to insure they could do the job correctly with the disassemble. They communicated well and all 4 movers were kind, respectful and approachable. They were gentle and considerate with the furniture and asked questions and guidance along the way when they needed, humble overall yet efficient. Used this business over the memorial weekend. Guys who helped us move were great! A lot of work and they got the job done. They did end up making a hole in a wall and three other scratches. No big deal right! It happens and as long as they fix it. Also broke a few things, even figured ok that happens as well. They started to and promised to come the right the next day and finish the repair. Well they didn't! Contacted the person in charge Peter, he said he would contact the guy who said would come to fix it Maurice. Never followed through like a good business man. Contacted him on the day our home was to be turned over to the new buyer/Escrow. He asks!!! He never contacted you??? What a way to follow business. I can't recommend Greek movers enough! I had a stressful sell and move-had to move twice and it was worth every Penny to hire Greek movers. I hired a 3 man crew for a 4 bedroom 2story house and they cleared out everything and got it into my storage unit in 5 hrs, the following week another 5 hrs to pack the unit and unload into my new home- they wrapped everything, they put together my bed so I had a bed to sleep in first night in new home! MISSING VALUABLE the day after moving in. In addition to missing item the three young men who moved us were talking about being hungover and puking in the bushes. When I brought this up to Peter (the owner), Peter informed me one of those guys tested positive for Covid. Guess what at the time of the call my wife 7MONTHS pregnant is sick and tests positive and we hadn't even left the new house!! After looking more closely at the reviews I understand why they continue to get away with their poor behavior. Peter will do nothing about it. ZERO accountability and he even said their insurance "doesn't cover stolen property." If you value your belongings do not use this company. I would not recommend this company. I asked them to bring boxes. They did not, so I had to go to the store and buy them. They did not have the wardrobes they said they had brought. The truck was too small, so they left a 7' ladder which I had to transport in my car the next day. On the day of the move, I had to carry the generator, which leaked oil, in the back of my car. When they unpacked, they were in a hurry to get to their next job at 5pm, so they unloaded 30 heavy file boxes to the wrong floor and the wrong rooms. I am going to hire someone to correctly move the boxes, as they are too heavy for me. Except for a deep gouge in the hardwood floor and a small tear in the couch fabric, I did not notice any, but that damage was unnecessary sloppiness. I found screws for installing my TV with a bed, and have not yet located the other installation hardware for TV's I am hoping that it all shows up eventually, but no high hopes. If you want accuracy on being delivered on what's on your paperwork and taking the time to accurately place the items where you direct them to be and most importantly a truck big enough to transport all of the items in your home, which you warned them about---then try someone else! read more

James was great to work with and communicated well via phone and text leading up to the day of the move so we had full confidence things would go smoothly. Hired the Greek Movers for my move this past Saturday. The booking process was super easy and my moving experience with them was nothing short of 5 stars! Peter was great about handling the scheduling of our move. Then on Saturday, our movers were Mario, Josh, Raul, Will, and Justin. They showed up and knocked out the move from our old location and to our new location so efficiently and very quickly (less than 3 hours)!!! I was super impressed with their level of professionalism as far as moving and packaging all my bigger valuable items (TV, dresser mirrors, bed frame, etc). They also took apart my bed frame and removed my mounted TV along with all the equipment. Then they reassembled my bed at the new place, as well as putting all our boxes, in the designated areas they needed to go. All the movers were so polite, and great sports about moving us down one flight of stairs, and then back up two flights! They made this move hassle-free which I greatly appreciated!! Very poor service, one of the worst experience. DO NOT WAST TIME AND MONEY. I asked in advance to have help with moving, packing, getting rid of junk and assembly. They said ok and all can be done. They gave me a window to arrive between 12 to 5 pm. No one showed by 3 pm, i called 6x for an update, the answering service has no idea when they will arrive. Finally by 4 pm they call back and said they will come by 6.00 pm. They showed up by 6 pm, unprepared. Has no boxes and no tapes to pack. They used from my supply. They did not rap everything, although I asked multiple times. Multiple stuff included mirrors, paints ....etc were not rapped. The truck was full and few stuff left behind. The truck used was not big. They could not take the junk to disposable, claiming disposal was closed. They finish loading by 10.30 pm then arrived by 11 pm to second location. They have to rush and we decided to put all stuff in one location. Finished by 12.30 am (yes 12.30 am). Spoke with manager, said I'm of town and talk to the movers. Movers said talk to the boss. Very poor management. No one take responsibility. Manager said we can come next day to finish job. No one came. They said they will pick junk from garden later. No. one came. Most of job not done, they did less than 50% of what I asked for !! I had to hire another company next day to finish the job. By the way, Junk was taken and disposal was not closed as they claimed. Look for recent reviews on yelp, they are bad service and not good anymore. Old reviews are good only. read more

Lazy liars and thieves!! I scheduled Greek Movers for 2 trucks & 4 movers to move my belongings from storage on 5/11/21 w/ written expectation that all my property was to be moved from storage to my new home 10 mi. away. Movers started at 845am and took 10 hours to partially load 2 trucks & did not completely empty either of my 2 storage units (still paying rent at storage as a result). When they arrived at the house around 730pm the leadman "Junior" said they emptied 1 unit but had no time to load the other unit; was charged $2187 for 14 hours/2 trucks. They packed my garage so full I could not tell what was there and what wasn't when they finished unloading at 1130pm. On 5/12 I went to the storage units & found a significant amount of my belongings left behind in total disarray - pillows and picture frames laying on the ground, items piled over top of each other, packing trash that wasn't mine, etc. A person who had been at the storage facility the day before approached me & said they observed the movers NOT working for many hours the day prior, relaxing on my couches, playing on my gym equipment, etc. I went to the storage facility office to watch the security camera video of 5/11 confirming the witness's account and saw that 1 of the 2 trucks I paid an extra $250 for that day left for several hours as well. Owner Peter Kaffen does not return my calls/messages from 5/14, 5/17, 5/18, & 6+ emails, when prior to the job I would get immediate return responses. In my telephone conversation with Peter in 5/12 and thereafter in messages and emails I have repeatedly asked for them to finish the job I paid for or refund 6 hours of labor they stole from me when they charged me for hours they were sitting around not working at my storage unit. I filed a complaint with BBB and as of yet have not received a response. People of Greece should be ashamed this company is using a reference to their country - a TOTAL disgrace! read more

They did their level best to make sure that the job was done in a reasonable time, and all of them were remarkably friendly. I would strongly recommend these guys for both moving and junk removal since I hired them for both. This easily would have cost several hundred more dollars with another company or for renting a truck or trailer. This was cheaper, included everything, and it was top-quality work man. read more
