Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. I know that people are entitled to have bad days, but the Manager who went by the name of Steve was beyond rude. I had placed an order online and the order got cancelled out at another location because it was out of stock. That location was able to disclose what phones they did have in stock and understood that their website was glitching not allowing me to search for the model that I initially ordered. Basically, I needed to search other locations and the website was not working. The recommendation was made to call another store. Upon calling Norridge the manager instantly refused to provide information on whether the phone was in stock. He said that due to thefts he could not disclose that information. I offered to provide my account information and he told me that I did not understand that thefts take place. Making me feel like I was calling to steal. I told him I was a long time customer and it was inconvenient to take a drive to a location if they didn't have it. I told him I could provide my information if it made him more comfortable. In addition, I had asked him if this was a corporate policy because I had just received assistance from another location who was beyond helpful. He said it was the neighborhood. Should we be afraid to shop in Norridge? I called corporate and received assistance. They were able to provide me with another location who had the phone, and also informed me that Norridge had the phone I wanted. But, due to the service I received, I refused to purchase there. I ended up working with two other locations to assist me over the phone, and received exceptional service. Those locations being Oak Park and Brickyard. AT&T should keep in mind that not everyone is out here stealing. Also, what if I didn't have a vehicle? Should people take public transportation just to be told NO we don't have it because someone was on a power trip? read more

I already had an ATT cellphone, but on 1/13/23 I went to inquire about adding internet and Direct TV streaming services. George was supposed to set up services to begin on 2/1/23, when the equipment was to be installed. Instead, he set up services to begin charging me on 1/11/23, that's two days before I went to the ATT store, and 21 days before services were to begin. Since I didn't get a physical receipt, I didn't know until I got a debit on 1/28/23. I was informed that no refund or correction would be done. I had to direct my bank contest the charges, and deny all future billings. I don't want to deal with any company so underhanded. No Direct TV, or anything out of this ATT Store for me! I have been an AT&T customer for over 30 years and this is the first store that I've been to that needs to learn some customer service etiquette. I was seeking an upgrade on an older phone that was being used by my senior citizen mother who was on my account. She wanted the simplest phone and opted for the only choice, the AT&T Cingular Flip Phone. Brian G helped us on our upgrade but I guess I don't understand the Gen Z's because we felt that we were a bother as a customer. No, we weren't upgrading to an expensive iPhone 9 nor Samsung Galaxy 9, and yet Brian G indicated that AT&T doesn't care what phone you buy but on providing the wireless service to their customer. So why the attitude? The phone was $59.99 and I noticed that the store had advertised right under the sample phone that I could get 0% financing for $3 per month for 20 months. When asked about that option, he indicated that the system wouldn't let him do it when he scanned it because the phone was so inexpensive. As a result, they would require full payment upfront. Well, I know that isn't true, so I repeatedly returned the attitude and he finally asked if I wanted to finance the phone for $3 per month. Hmmm . .. but I thought I had to pay the phone in full? Which is it Brian? I had enough by this point and simply paid for the phone in full even though Brian didn't even offer to go over the phone with us despite its simplicity. My general experience with other AT&T stores have been fairly good and customer service oriented. I can completely understand why this location gets such low marks based on this visit to this store. read more

Terrible customer service!!!! Went to the store on Dec 5th, looking for options to upgrade 5 of my lines, and was met with the worst customer service me and my fiancé have experienced at ATT. The first guy, with no name tag, had a terrible attitude and was bothered to look up my account and give me my options. We left the store after stating 'we'll go somewhere else," but I decided to return because of the way we were treated. We once again asked the associate to look up our account and we were met with "I thought you were going somewhere else" by the associate, I requested to speak to a manager and I see why the customer service is lacking. He approached, asked what the problem was, and during my explanation just walked away and asked another associate to help us. Arturo sat us down and provided our options, which is what I wanted from the beginning, but what he refused to provide were the names of the manager and associate who previously helped us. He related that he can not give us there names but stated the associates first initial was B. Now I have been a customer with ATT for 15 years and have 8 lines, internet, and TV service. With the money I spend monthly I think that I deserve an associate to help me out for 15 mins a couple times a year when I have questions on upgrades or any service they provide. With everything going on in today's world the last thing I wanted to do was cause a scene attempting to get the names of the employees. Instead I'm starting with this review, will contact the general manager of the store, and will be contacting someone at the cooperate office. I've had no issues with AT&T thus far however I was lied to when being offered a promo for a "free" Apple Watch because I am a first responder. At no point was I informed that I would be charged in monthly installments for the watch, and paying insurance for the watch. I was only informed that I was only paying for the service. The sales person no longer works there because he was scheming people. The manager literally said there was nothing I could do. I couldn't cancel in store. Just to be clear... this review is for the AT&T store across the street from the HIP... next door to Potbelly's. I purchased/upgraded phones for my son and myself last November and went with my mom yesterday to get a new upgrade for her as well. They were a little busier in November, but I was greeted right away when I walked in the door, they asked me what they could help me with, took my name, and told me it would be about a 10-minute wait. I think I only waited about five minutes when one of the sales reps came to introduce himself and help me. He was very knowledgeable about the phones, very polite and conversational, and was able to get through two upgrades rather quickly. When I went with my mom yesterday, we were greeted and helped immediately. Again, the sales rep was able to help us quickly and knew what she was doing. I've had no issues at this store and I'm starting to prefer it over the one inside the mall simply because the mall store gets way to crowded. They've been courteous and helpful with our upgrades. So here is the story... I got my brand new unlocked Iphone from Apple Store last month and it was working perfectly fine till last Friday when out of nowhere I'd started getting troubles with cellular data. On this Saturday I called ATT customer service and they couldn't help me and they sent me to Apply Technical support. Apple said its my carrier problem so they transferred me back there. ATT said that I need to go to ATT store and get a new SIM card (cause mine didn't support LTE; was from my old 4s). Stock in a traffic I drove to ATT store and got there 10 min before they close. Steve asked me if he can help. I explained him the whole situation. He was trying to help me really hard even if the store technically supposed to be closed. He found that the phone was alright. He gave me a new SIM card but it still didn't seem to work properly. He didn't give up. He called ATT Customer Service for me and explained the lady what's the problem. They both helped me and made my phone work in LTE and fixed my data problem. But I can honestly say that Steve went an extra mile to help me. It's a second time when I went there to get help and I can really say that those guys really know what they are doing. Great service! Steve is the best! Wish you to be lucky enough to get his help one day! Really smart and nice guy! read more

Had a bad experience here. Went with my girlfriend because she was having phone issues. Even though it's her phone, the salesmen for some reason, would only ask me questions. I would turn to my GF and she would answer, and he would still turn to me and ask me something else about HER phone. Weird, but whatever. Then he proceeded to lie to us saying that her phone's 1 year warranty was expired. Went to the AT&T store within the HIP mall and found out that her warranty doesn't expire for another week. Came here early this afternoon with my mother; we both had separate issues that needed to be addressed. All of the associates were with other customers so we waited in line with a few others in front of us. After about 15 minutes, a woman who worked there came over with her tablet and added us to the list of customers to be seen. We sat at a table and waited for the next associate. After about 20 more minutes, the last woman in line on the list came up to an associate and was taken care of immediately. The next available associate walked over to help another associate with a customer and we wound up waiting about 45 minutes in total for absolutely nothing. Their lack of customer service skills is appalling. If you make a list of customers to be seen, FOLLOW IT. Don't skip over people who have been waiting 30 minutes to take care of another customer. Will definitely never be returning to this store. And I hope that they either find new, efficient staff members or close this location all together. Complete waste of time. DO NOT GO HERE. Planning on getting rid of AT&T altogether to avoid continuous headaches such as this. read more

I went to this AT&T retail store to pay my bill last week. I also asked about wireless service. The Rep, Jakub and the store manager, Adam, were great in their assistance. I left the store agreeing that Jakub would call me in a couple of days to see if I would switch my landline over to wireless after I discussed it with my husband. Well,I worked the late shift at work on Wednesday, 3/2/16 I called home to let my husband know I was on my way, and low and behold I get a recording that the phone number has been changed and no new number can be provided. I immediately call AT&T 611 number and wait 15 minutes for a Rep to answer. I explain my situation and he informed that an order had been put in to cancel the landline and switch it to wireless. I informed him that was not true that I had made an inquiry and asked to have the landline restored. The Rep., Ken , informed me he would have the call escalated. I called back on Friday, 3/4/16 and the female Rep. that answered transferred me to a number that was disconnected. So, I went to work. On Saturday, 3/5/16, I went to the store and spoke to Jakub and Adam explaining what happened. Jakub immediately went in the back and called in, so I was told, and 40 minutes later told me he was transferred 4 times because no one knew what was going on and that by Sunday, 3/6/16 the landline would be back on. Well, it's Monday, 3/7/16, and I called the 611 number after work and was transferred to the "Landline Dept." that closed at 4:00 p.m., and we still don't have a landline. My husband and I were discussing on just getting rid of the landline all together as we have cell phones. I get home and there's a "Priority" envelope waiting for me from AT&T with instructions on how to connect the wireless phones. Idiots, I don't need that. I was able to connect my internet service and my flat screen TV to the Modem. AT&T your service in this situation stinks......to put it nicely. read more

Me and my wife walked in looking to get her the Note 8 add a line for our daughter but when we walked in the employees were busy goofing around looking at their phones to greet us or even asked us if we had any questions after 30 minutes of being ignored we left I've done business most times because it's the closest AT&T in my area and I bought my last three phones there but not no more. read more

They insisted to get me out of my unlimited data plan which is no longer available with ATT by promissing me that my bill would be lowered and that there were some discounts only to find out, later at home ewhen I read the fine print that that was not the case. Tried to sell me a 450.00 program I asked why wouldn't I just but the same service for 200as they offer not only could she not answer me she then proceeded to tell me that they didn't have the phone that 15 min prior on the she confirmed YES we have it. To clarify, as some others have, this is not the store in the HIP, it is on the east side of Harlem, in the separate shopping plaza. My issue here is with customer service. Even with the caveat that we came during Christmas shopping season, our wait time was still over a half hour just to be seen. Worse than that is the inconsistency of what one rep says and what the next can do. Our task? Simple. Move my wife's Sprint phone to the our AT&T family plan, and order two new phones. This took the rep another half hour to accomplish (I will remind you, there were no phones to set up, as we had to order them). I came back a couple days ater with the new phone to get it transferred over. Different rep. Totally confused on what was going on, was half ready to put my wife's number on my phone. Another hour of a day wasted on waiting for service then waiting for the rep to swipe through screens. Despite what the first guy said, all they can do is transfer contacts, not everything. A week after that, my wife's phone arrives, and she goes to get it set up. The rep tells her she can't keep her old number, in direct contradiction of what we were told, and what we wanted. I told her to skip it, and we'd get it done later. A trip to a different AT&T store (in Crestwood, if anyone's interested), and half the time, everything was done simply, efficiently, and most importantly CORRECTLY. So AT&T can do it right, but I won't be returning to this store. read more

I had a horrible experience with the att store across the street from the mall that left me in tears. I was seconds from switching carriers despite being with att for 9 years. I went to this store and the manager Kevin was amazing he addressed all my needs went over and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied and kept me and my 6 lines with att. Don't go across the street walk in the mall they put customers needs its not only about numbers at this store. They care about the customers!!! Keep up the great job guys!! read more

They run up to you wanting to help but once they find out you're there for an issue instead of a sale they try shrugging you off. No manager on site. How does att let this happen?? After a long wait, I was helped by Jeff. I went to pick up my new iPhone and to have it activated. He had issues activating the phones. Phone was finally activated but later that day discovered that my data plan was removed by the same store rep. After a couple calls to AT&T customer service the data plan will be restored but can take up to two weeks. Now I have an iPhone 6 which can only be used for calls. read more
