I would give the store (especially Antonio) a zero if I could!!. I am a 78 year old woman with limited technical skills and medical issues. Antonio sold me a phone and suggested I have it sent to the store where he would download the content of my old phone on to the new one. AT&T notified me it had arrived at the store the next day (Thursday). Come Saturday early afternoon, I had not been contacted. So I went into the store. I left my old phone for an hour and came back. Antonio had transferred the content of my old phone on to the new one. He didn't take the time to show me how to use the new phone.... just said to just swipe up on the screen to activate it....and that everything else was basically the same as my old phone. WRONG!!! Went home and had trouble just opening the phone. I had no one to help me and went to bed scared.... the phone was my contact to the "outside world" should I need help. (Additionally, I wasn't getting my mail and it wasn't charging.....didn't tell me I might need a new adaptor). Went back to the store the next day. Needless to say, I was upset. Antonio could care less..... Sold me a new adaptor and told me where a tutorial was located on the use of the new phone (why didn't he do that when he sold it to me?). With help from friends I am "limping by" but still not getting my mail. Antonio needs to go back to a customer training center to learn how to care for customers OR find a new job where people skills aren't required. read more

It is something she would have wanted. I was helped by Juan and Mitch. They did a fantastic job helping me get into the phone with their knowledge and experience. As a former AT&T / SBC / Pac Bell employee I'm sad to see what has happened to Ma Bell.... a while ago I came to this store to check out new Iphones and try to get a new plan as I was running up my bill... the store manager and another employee reviewed my account and said I had accumulated so many credits or loyalty points as a retiree I qualify for a free tablet or Apple Watch. I didn't really need it but chose the tablet. I'm now being monthly installment billing for it :-( I go back to the same store - find all the previous employees have been replaced and nothing they will do - can't return it. Sad as to previous employee behavior and sad for not accepting responsibility for previous "slam" ..... and how often to they do this to other customers - not just former employees?? :-( read more

I hate going into AT&T. Usually always have to wait forever. Not this time though. Mike was really great. Even though we came in for a phone, he seen how much we were paying for cable and internet and he helped us get a way better deal. He was very helpful and changed my opinion of AT&T. He helped setup the new phone also. I felt bad for him. Doesn't AT&T believe in hiring more people to help with customer service? I think its ridiculous to have 1 employee to help anywhere from 1-5 customers at any given time. I can understand why people may get frustrated waiting to be helped by 1 employee. Customer service was horrible. You would think that after spending all kinds of money on a phone and service that the people working here would be a lot more helpful. I broke my phone to the point of which i could not longer view my contacts. When i asked if there was anyway to obtain my contacts from my phone, I was simple showed to an apple tablet (which didn't work) to get them off of a google account (which i didn't know how to used). No one would help me other wise. I finally called customer service from the store to help me while in the store to get my contacts from my phone. While talking on the phone to customer service, retail personnel behind the counter started to make really rude remakes while i was explaining my issues. Went in yesterday hoping to get access to my elderly mother's cell phone to check her balance, and find out why the phone "wasn't working." Eddie had the patience of three saints! Got me set up with a new pin (Mom had never used/remembered it), and online access, and paid up for three months, and discovered that Mom hadn't been able to hear the phone because she had the volume turned all the way down. Also checked the battery, which is fine. I've been making her payments for her for years; now it'll be SO much simpler to manage. Luckily the store wasn't very busy. NEGATIVE 5 STARS. (But I have to list something, so it's technically a 1 Star.) WITH 5 BIG WHOPPERS. How do I list these LIES? 1) I was told this was a corporate store by the owner, Mike. This is FALSE. It is a franchise. NOT CORPORATE. We have complained to corporate and there is now an internal investigation going on. LIE!!! 2) I very specifically told Mike the owner that I wanted the Internet only and over the phone corporate said they could do it for $59. Mike then tells me he can get me a "better deal" and do it for $39. (With an extra $10 for equipment. No more than $49 per month with everything) I sign up expecting that to be the case. Get my bill. It comes through as $59. I speak to multiple people at corporate over the phone who only offer unhelpful "I hear you's," "apologies," and "understandings". To the district manager, local corporate, or national level manager reading this, I want what I paid for exactly. To be very clear, Mike even approved it over the phone when I came back into his store the next day with Derek, the sales associate. To sum up, that's $10/month difference x 12 months = $120 LIE!!! 3) Mike also explicitly promised he could get me with an Internet Only deal with HBO Max FOR FREE FOR A YEAR. Mike confirmed and verified this to be the case 2-3 times. When I read my bill, HBO Max FOR ONE YEAR FREE was NOT ON THERE. When I complained to corporate, more apologies, excuses, and not taking responsibility. Looking at the bill, HBO MAX for FREE for the first 30 Days.That's $15/month difference x 11 months = $165 LIE!!! 4) I was promised by the store that the installer would actually set up HBO MAX FOR FREE for ONE YEAR when he was in the home. The installer to his credit was super nice, but told us that he didn't need to install it for us and it was easy to do ourselves. When we tried, there was NOT a ONE YEAR FOR FREE OPTION! LIE!!! 5) When my wife and I went into the store, to be fair, Derek and Andrew looked us up. It was entered as we stated. They confirmed the initial terms Mike initially set forth of $39+HBO MAX FOR ONE YEAR FREE were correct. They then promised my wife and I that this would be RESOLVED that we would get what they had agreed to within 2 DAYS. They DID NOT. LIE!!! Instead, we had to chase them down and finally, Andrew got back to us was an "OOPS! We made a mistake. I'm just the messenger." $100+$165=$265 MISTAKE! Which no one has taken responsibility for. And simply given us what we were promised. And what we agreed to. At this point, we'll be reporting this as a case of CONSUMER FRAUD. This is some of the shadiest, sketchiest business dealings I've ever experienced. This store should not be representative of AT&T. As a multi-gazillion dollar corporation, I expect them to take full responsibility and CORRECT the mistake. Still waiting on that. Do not give this store your business. I should also add when I went into the store to dispute the bill the first time, Mike LIED to me, said he never saw me and blamed it on his partner. I said, what's your name? He said, "Mike." Hey Mike, you're going to be out of business tomorrow if you keep this up! The manager, Mike, is dishonest, rude, and should not be in customer service. After five months with AT&T, the promotion he sold us in July does not exist (buy 1 iPhone, get one "free") for the type of iPhone he sold to us. While we were there in July, he made a female employee cry while chumming it up with his male employees and he applauded himself as we left the store, I'm sure for convincing us into a contract that has since been a disaster to deal with. This started back in November of 2019. My wife had an account with AT&T Wireless. She had 4 phones on the account (for our children and herself). She passed away unexpectedly but I continued to pay the bill in order to not interrupt our kid's service. AT&T was able to accept my money, no problem. BUT... When I tried to transfer the account to my name, the fun began. After several frustrating calls to AT&T, they told me I had to go to the AT&T store with a death certificate and account information. I went to the local AT&T store where I waited in line for about 45 minutes while the two customer service reps discussed their workout schedules. The lady in line in front of me warned me of the slow service. When she finally made it to one of the reps, they started talking with each other again, virtually ignoring her. She turned around and looked at me and rolled her eyes. When I finally got to talk to one of them, they told me I was at the wrong store for this transaction. I explained the CSR on the phone told me to go to the AT&T store. BUT... turns out, should have been the 'corporate' AT&T store. BUT... The rep said he could still help me. I was relieved and I thanked him. Then he said, 'Yeah, I can tell you were the nearest Corporate Store is.' I have to say Mike is super helpful and this is the best store in the area. Mike worked extra hard to let me know all my options and polices. to me any time I can walk out of Att in about an hour with a new phone is good for me. I have had the displeasure of having to deal with other bay area locations and a few in Nevada, customer service is not something Att trains people on, but Mike is the exception, I even seen him with another elderly client, he was ever so patient and she said he had been very helpful with her answering his calls. I was wary about going to an "authorized retailer", but I was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I needed to activate a new phone and put my number into her old phone. Mike made it quick and painless and explained what we needed to do as far as backing up data on the old phone and then downloading it to the new one. No pressure for up-sells, and when we told them we needed new cases for the phones we were told what was on special. Totally laid-back and what I'm into. Experience at this store was the worst experience I have ever had I had to come into this store because my husband and I just moved from Monterey California to Clayton California and we wanted to get Internet. When we called customer service they said AT&T does not have Internet so we finally moved and had to call to get our TV set up and then they said now you know we do offer service got disconnected call back again they said we had to go through a third-party store called via stat we then went to this location I explained to the assistant manager Dorian what was going on and he said he would make us top priority to help us so we said OK will give you guys another chance the soonest they can get a technician out was four days after I spoke with him in a store I said that's not good enough we've already been waiting three weeks so he called me on Saturday saying he still didn't have an opening and the technician would be out on Monday my husband and then had to go into the store wondering what they were going to do to keep our business and we said that we would give them until that Monday when the technician came out when he got there he said Internet could not be installed at this location even though we were told by the store manager Mike Huang That it could be installed at our address. And went in and said OK we gave you guys one last chance we want to cancel our service for our DIRECTV and we want a refund of our last two months bill credited back to our credit card Mike the manager said he noticed this in my account about working on a refund and compensation for myself for all the hours and time I have spent on the phone with customer service and in his store. Mind you when I first went into this store both Mike and the assistant manager Dorian both said multiple times that they don't even trust customer service. Come Find out this location Is actually a third-party store so they have permission to sell AT&T services and products but they are not a legitimate AT&T store you have to go to the store on monument that's an actual AT&T store. Only go to this store if you're prepared to waste an hour or more of your life. There are never enough employees working and always a line that moves slower than molasses. Maybe some chairs would be nice and a take a number type of option so you don't force customers to stand for an hour waiting to be helped. Another thing, policy consistency is lacking. Sometimes they can help you, sometimes they can't. Makes no sense. It's a gamble going here so just be prepared for long waits and possibly accomplishing nothing during your visit. Went in to get new phone for kid. Mike the manager lies to us about signing on another person to be authorized user on account. Wife at home so after an hour of her calling at&t to put me on account, they tell her he's lying. So she has to come into store. In meantime Mike is talking behind some customer backs who don't speak English well to other employees. Once she comes in we pay off old phone. With receipt in hand the store can't communicate with at&t that we've just paid off account. Funny they have failing Comcast service for hardline phones and they're at&t. Terrible customer service. I opened three lines back in December because my family was visiting and I was assured, since I had my own phones, the only thing I would have to pay is the monthly line charges, no activation fee. The bill arrives and it's nearly $300, up from $135, including $45 in activation fees ($15/line). So I go back and complain, and I'm told the person who opened the lines and "assisted" (I have to put that in quotation marks because it turns out I was being ripped off) me is not in so they would find out and get back to me. A month passes and nothing-total silence. I call back today and I'm told there have always been activation fees and there is nothing they can do. My issue isn't that there are fees but that I was assured there would be none, and THAT is why I agreed to three extra lines for a two month period. It's one thing to misinform a customer about fees (my mom was with me and can attest activation fees were not mentioned and we were assured it would only be the monthly charges), but it's a whole other league of awful when you don't get back to them over a complaint. I had to point out no one even bothered to apologize at which point I got an apology that didn't feel anywhere near the vicinity of sincere. I'm done with AT&T when my contract is up thanks to this store. read more
