OMG! OMG! OMG! I finally found a friendly, professional, customer service, smiling Sales Associates MetroPCS store who is willing to assist me the customer!. They totally went out of their way to assist me with me Samsung 3G phone. The MetroPCS-Pleasant Hill, 552 Contra Costa Blvd. Suite 40, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 store near Target sales associate erased everything and sent me out of the store trying to figure how to reconnect my phone back-up. Unfortunately, all Sales Associates and Managers there have an attitude problem and they all look like they are constipated, frowning, not happy campers at all, nor customer service oriented any way? Screen fixes, battery replacement, and today I purchased an almost brand new IPad for a fraction of what Apple Charges for a brand new iPad. The best part was I received a tutorial about how it works and it took no time at all. Prolly the worst customer service I have EVER received at a retail store. I bought a universal battery charger for my cell phone(since my charging port was not working) the lady working guaranteed that it would work with my phone. After getting it home I realized the unit itself was defective. I brought it back the next morning and was told no refunds(they didn't have another one) and was told with my credit they could order me one. No one wants to want 1-2 weeks for a charger to arrive with no phone that whole time. I told the girl working no I am sorry I need a refund to go to another store. Mind you again this was the next morning(with receipt) the girl working would NOT return it. After 5 min of going back and forth she said she had to get ahold of the owner(John) and proceeded to text him. I said I am here waiting, call him texting wont work. She would not call him. She said he said no refund over the text. now this is the same guy who approx 2 years ago (when I worked at sleep train) returned his $2000+ bed NO QUESTIONS , not because it was defective, but simplily because "he didn't like it." I advise ANYONE who is even remotely thinking about going to go to this place NOT to go here. If you buy a broken item, you will NOT get a refund. you will get played around with, lied to. There is NO PLACE who should not return a broken item that they sold at their store. Life saviors! Thank you phone Gods! On 10/7/17 I was hanging out with my friend and my iPhone slid, hit the edge of this metal motorcycle stand and my phone went BLACK. Here's the plot twist: It's 6pm, GetWireless closes at 7 and I have a flight out to LA at 10PM. There was no way I was about to spend a week in Los Angeles without my phone a.k.a my whole life. After calling 4 nearby repair shops, to compare prices, I found GetWireless- open since 1999. I called, DJ picked up. He must've heard my FRANTIC voice because he was able to immediately calm me down. He said "we work miracles here" I told him it didn't look good, but most importantly, I could not miss my flight, so if he wasn't able to fix it he should let me know as soon as possible so I can find other options. He said come on down, let's see what we can do. Conveniently, located close to the freeway. I ran in, but DJ was assisting another customer. Liz, (another very friendly employee) came out and talked to me about my phone, told me not to worry. This is when I recognized the beautiful cat, lounging on a chair in the lobby. His name is Buddy and he is SO cute, calm and friendly! Once DJ was done, which wasn't long, Buddy was able to distract me. DJ said he should be done within an hour. Perfect, I went down to TJ MAXX, spent over an hour there I drove back to the shop. DJ and the owner of the store, John, were working on my phone. "Oh uh" I thought to myself. The store didn't have an iPhone 7 Plus screw driver. But that didn't stop this dynamic duo. While I was shopping, they were seeking around the area for the "screw driver". Once they found someone willing to sell it, John personally went to pick it up. (I was startled, when does that ever happen?) They fixed my phone, the SAME DAY, AT A GREAT PRICE. Before I left, John wanted to test it out once more. I was so happy that he went out of his way to do that for me. Everything looked perfect, I even bought a screen protector and a case! Much better prices than what I would've paid at the Sprint store. I am definitely recommending them to everyone. So easy, painless and competitive to the other stores in the area. I hate having to write bad reviews, it gets exhausting and it's usually a thankless effort on behalf of fellow Yelpers. Short version - First experience was in 2010 spending $600 and I continued to return until 2015 until I had enough. I paid for their overpriced accessories, I paid them for repairs but the final straw was when I paid them for installation to protect the phone at 4 x what I'd pay elsewhere and when it failed to protect the phone THEY recommended I buy, they wanted more $ to fix it. I could break down 5 years of going there into little stories but I'm too tired to go into details, especially since everyone else is giving it 2 stars already. read more

On both opportunities, I experienced no wait before talking to someone, and the customer service representatives were attentive, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. During the first time, the technician was very helpful troubleshooting my device and identifying the issue. On the second visit, I went with a friend for a repair, and the process was painless. The worst customer service ever. My partner and son just spent an hour there...prepared to spend a few hundred bucks to upgrade phones. The douche that thought he had a sale in the bag spoke down to my girlfriend such that she made a minimal purchase so that our son would have a phone and we have vowed not to ever step foot in this store again...Fair warning this is as bad as customer service gets. Oh...the Metro PCS insurance plans are a rip off....you can buy a new phone for less than the "deductible" ($85.00) they charge you. Worst customer service there is!!!!!!! NEVER open up a contract with this horrible company!! I have a written contract with them saying my monthly bill is $170.00 in total! and every month they always charge me over $200.00 saying I owe for a bunch of made up bullshit. If you speak to 5 different people you will get 5 different answers from each person. Nobody is ever on the same page. Yesterday they told me I have to have my phone number changed to have my monthly bill set at $170.00 so very inconveniently I had to have my phone number changed, and guess what, they're saying my bill is still $200.00. Every employee they have is incompetent. At the store They tell you to call customer service where you're put on hold and transferred hold for hours, and then customer service tells you to go to the store. I had some issues with going here and now I only go to pay my metro bill. I went in one day and as usual there were several people already there. Planned to be there forever waiting. The young lady behind the counter was helping one couple with a phone that may have had some issues, another couple looking to start up new service and one irritating guy that kept asking the dumbest questions. She juggled everyone like a pro! Within 5 minutes of being there she asked me what I needed. I told her I only wanted to pay my bill. I too, wish I could give Get Wireless negative stars! Last year, My husband went in to purchase a new phone. After the transaction, the clerk told him "oh and by the way, you have to change your phone plan to use that phone" He wasn't prepared for that and returned the item before he even left the store. A month later, they used my credit card number and debited my account $247.00! (he had never returned to the store) I called them that day and brought them a printout from my online statement, showing the money was taken out. After 3 months of calls and messages, I get a hold of the owner. He told me he thought I made the whole thing up. I called them MANY times and got my bank involved to attempt to get my money back. They kept telling me that they never took it! I even got a nasty message from one of their employees telling me I needed to manage my money better! 4 months later, after providing written documents from my bank including a copy of the electronic request sent to my bank, they finally agreed that they did take it, but had "no idea what happened to it" and told me "we don't have it so we can't give it to you" They admitted that the money was taken by them, but said they could not find it. After calling for two months AFTER they agreed they had it and said it could not be located, I finally sent a letter that said I would be forced to sue them if I did not get my money back. They called me on the last day before the filling date that I had given in my letter, and said that they guessed they would "take the hit" and They wanted me to sign a letter saying if I got the money back, I would return it. After that, the book keeper still did not send me the check for 2 WEEKS! I had to call again to ask where it was. I offered to come pick it up, and she said she had already mailed it. Too bad she wasn't smart enough to remember that the post office stamps the date on your mail. She did not mail it until I called again! The check was for the exact amount they took. They got an interest free loan for 6 MONTHS! The owner kept telling me how much he valued his customers, but did NOTHING to help the situation. Nothing. In my opinion, if he valued his customers, he would have attempted something to salvage my customer relationship. Do not use this company, this has been the WORST experience I have ever had with a company and I do not wish it on anyone else! read more

I called to see if they had a battery for my Blackberry 9330 and they said they did so I made the trek down to see them. The guy looked at my phone and said it was water damaged and then he plugged my battery into some plastic thing and said the battery is fine but my phone is ruined then he tried to sell me a new more expensive phone and a new plan. This is NOT what I came in for. I was there for over 45 minutes and left without a battery. The trip was a waste of time. I then went to a REAL Verizon dealership and purchased a new battery and my phone works fine. Honestly, I love MetroPCS, the service has always worked for me and been very reasonably priced. However, I cannot STAND the customer service I constantly receive here. It's like they don't care and I always have to wait forever. I really can't stand that whole bored demeanor. They are very unhelpful. Awesome customer service! I stopped in to see if anything could be done with my phone. Sprint would only charge me to get out of my lease and into a new one or charge me for a replacement phone. Thinking all my data and contacts were lost to a phone that would not turn on, my man DJ did some troubleshooting that sprint would not and helped me HUGE! The phone was shot, but at least getting my phone to turn on gave me enough time to save all my family photos that otherwise would have been lost. He switched the battery out of his personal phone to accomplish this. These folks are genuinely knowledgeable and honest. read more

These people are in the business of screwing there customers. I have had the UNpleasure of doing business with this company twice. Both times a nightmare situation. First was buying a used phone. It was broken. After about an hour of intense argument they gave me a different phone. But said the Internet would not work on it until they finished the unlocking of it. But the guy they hired to do the unlocking was MIA for two weeks. The second time I went in there was 2 years later to the tech. Team they had partnered with to fix my iPad. Bad idea. What they said was an overnight fix turned into a 2week fiasco and when I got it back it did not work right and ended up just going to apple and trading my I pad in. STAY AWAY FROM THEESE JOKERS!!! Just tell the staff what you need and they'll suggest a solution. This is a solid independent business that has been at the same location for years. Our experience has been excellent. Yesterday I went to the store at 10am as the hours are shown on the website, I waited outside in the rain with my 16 month old daughter for 20 min because the store was not opened yet. So I left ... when I returned to the store in the afternoon there was only one employee that was working and people waiting to be helped. When I was finally helped (which is not the employees fault at this point and they are very nice) I was not satisfied with sprint plan for data usage! read more

I would NOT recommend taking your phone here to get fixed. I took my Iphone to get the cracked screen fixed, when I picked it up everything looked good until I tried to make a call and the speaker did not work and the phone was not put back together all the way. So I took it back on Monday to have the "tech" fix it again well the screen would freeze up so I just dealt with it and now my scree is completely frozen, I can not use my phone at all. I wish I could give these guys No stars or negative stars! I responded to a craigslist ad saying that they will flash ANY phone to MetroPCS! I told them specifically my phone model number and asked them if they could flash my phone! Samsung SCH-i830W by Sprint! The response was, oh yeah we can do that phone, "we are the only place that can get ANY pdaphone to work with MetroPCS! I took my phone on thursday April 16th and gave it to some douche named Chris Brown, he said he is the master of phones and can do anything! I gave him $120 cash upfront for this service! He said he would call me on the next monday April 20th, when the phone was done! I called on the 21st because I never heard from him! Left a message, called back a week later because I never heard from anybody! I finally had one of the employees tell me, oh yeah they are still working on it just give us a little more time! After half a dozen calls and leaving messages for Chris for over the next MONTH...I never got a a return call! The employees kept telling me, oh just a little more time, he is almost done with your phone! I finally called yesterday on May 29th, we are talking 6 WEEKS LATER...and they said, oh well we cannot get your phone to work with MetroPCS! So I go down to pick up the phone and the Chris the tool was there and said I had to wait for the office manager to come back so she could write me a check! I waited for almost an hour...and Chris went and hid in the backroom like a chickensh!t...the office manager finally returned and asked me why it had taken so long to come back and get my phone...I told her because I could never get ahold of anybody, especially Chris, I had called and called and called! Never a return call NEVER! So she said she woud take down my address and mail me a check...I told her NO WAY...give me cash, just like I gave you cash! Finally she agreed to refund the money in cash...all 5s and 10s...$120 worth! My stylus to the phone was LOST...and that Chris Brown guy never came to talk to me or appologize or anything...just hiding in the back room like a tool! I had the best experience here and then today just the worse possible service! I went in with a friend to turn on two Metro PCS phones. We walked in and the 3 employees were all in the back talking, later I figured they were talking about a guys bill or something. The lady looked at us walk in the store, never acknowledged that we were there. She looked at us several times while she carried on her conversation with the other two. Finally two of the employees came out and BOTH continue to help the one customer. They were literally going back and forth with who was going to help him with his phone, more the female employee than the guy. When the guy made it clear that he was helping the other customer, the lady turned and stuttered out "I guess I will help them". We told her we wanted to activate the two wireless phones. She looked down at them and tried not to show it but kind of grimaced and siad it was going to cost us $25 per phone, PLUS the first month service of $70. That sounded kind of out there and my friend did not have that much money with her. So we both looked at each other and said "No". Both the guy and the lady looked at with a big smile and did not say a word. I used to pay my bill here and buy new phones here, I am done with this place now. I dont know what all these people are talking about. I just went to this store last week and I have never got such great service in my life. I have been with sprint for more then 4 years and they have never helped me out as much as Get Wireless did. Everyone who worked there was GREAT! They all had big smiles on there faces and helped me right as I came in. I had dropped my phone in water and was stressed out. I was going on a trip to LA the next day and I had to get a phone. But as soon as I stepped in the place I felt better. Its not one of those stores that everyone is trying to sell you things. They genuinely want to help you with your problem. And when they weren't able to fix my phone they gave me a loner phone. They really did everything in their power to make sure I walked out a happy customer. Avoid this place at all costs. What all the other reviewers are telling you is true-- service is absolutely the worst, employees will lie and attempt to put things past you. I spent four trips there trying to get an ipod fixed and they lied about repairs and intentionally made me wait (They kept telling me the tech was working on the ipod but he wasn't even in the store!). And attempt to short me $5 couple with an attempt to charge me $35 for a non-refundable fee which was a falsehood. You have been warned. read more

Customer service is FANTASTIC!! Our family will use no other store!! DJ and Liz are AWESOME! And, the owner is GREAT! After Lenore left, they went thru a time of not having someone of her caliber and knowledge, but then hired DJ. He is FANTASTIC!! He knows just about EVERYTHING there is to know, and if he doesn't, he's quick to find out and figure it out. I messed up my phone badly and within seconds- literally, DJ had it figured out! We've been customers for several years and have bought most of our phones from them. They take care of everything for us so we don't have to hassle with transfers and setups.
