I have lost all hope in this company! Back in June 2024 when my contract with AT&T expired, in an effort to keep loyal customers, AT&T offered me 4 mobile lines for $80 (taxes and fees extra) with Autopay, plus $40 Internet Air package. I signed up for it. To my suprise, the first mobile bill arrived in July with a whopping $265 (not $80 plus taxes and fees) and the Internet Air was $67 (not $40 plus taxes and fees). Of course, I went to the store where I originally signed up to complain! The manager called the corporate, and a partial credit was given to offset some of the differences. Came to find out that the rep who helped me set up the new account accidentally split the 4 lines into 2 different accounts. As a result, it disqualified me for the promotion. They apologized for the mistake they made and corrected the problem, supposedly! Then August and September's statement both hit me with $265 each, and the Internet Air was still at $67. Needless to say, I was not happy! I came to the store again and spent hours waiting and talking with the rep like the 1st time. Two more partial credits were issued, and another case was opened for correction. Not to mention that I was still overcharged even after the given credits. Evidently, the promised fix in July on my first visit never happened! When the October bill showed up with the same $265 and $67 balance, I became furious. My anxiety was off the roof. The inconvenience, the stress, and the time consumed by this are beyond reasonable! I thought this company scammed me! I was just about to be done with ATT. Then the back office got involved. The loyal department got involved. Over 80 minutes was spent over the phone. Another promise! Another 7 to 10 business days bullshit. As of the time of this review writing, I just received the November statement with another $265, which led me to this review! Please advise me what I should do next? Earlier this year I purchased a tablet device that I thought was configured to work immediately out the box with AT&T but only later to find out that it wasn't when I contacted them. Customer service via the phone was a wasted time frame so I decided to head to the store. In the past, I've always dreaded the going to the store as the wait would always seem long and I never seem to get my questions answered but not in this particular case. The staff on hand was actually pretty prompt and I only waited about five -10 mins. During that time I was surfing the net on my tablet (via the store's wifi) and when I was helped the agent was able to quickly identify my account understood what my issue or needs were and were quickly able to get a Sim. Took only a few minutes to confirm and just like that, I was in and out in probably 15mins. (I would say no more than 20 minutes but the experience was much better than what I had in the past. The staff is pretty casual laid-back which I think is cool but is a little bit hard to tell who's who, so look for them carrying a big 'Ol tablet around. Timing of when you go to the store is critical, so avoid the peak times (weekend and when people get off work). Also, you just because you walk in and see only a few people, they may have some extreme time-consuming issues as the couple I was talking to during my wait said they had been there for just over an hour trying to get their issue resolved. read more

Came here a couple months ago to upgrade my daughters phone. I went thru the process of buying the phone online to get an idea of how much the difference the monthly cost would be before going in. Note: the reason for not ordering online was because my daughter wanted a specific phone (you know how this goes) and it was in stock there. Fast forward, I'm signing and going over upgrade documents (pretty fast signing, you know how this goes) and notice the monthly cost given was higher then what I remembered online. So we reviewed the cost and found out there were add ons to the line. Not to be specific with the add ons but I ultimately ask for them to be removed because neither of my other 4 lines had it ever. So he removed it, which I thought (not blaming him). A couple months later I was reviewing my bills and notice that those charges were not removed. Did get the credit back for the charges but not without time and hassle. Not sure if you have had the pleasure of having to call customer service, but I would opt out every time if there was a choice. Moral of the story. Be careful and maybe you will need to review your statements later. read more

CHANDLER BLVD. STORE I bought a phone at the AT&T store and the sales person put the wrong ID digits into my phone. Because of this, I could not make or receive phone calls or texts. I did not discover this until the next day. I spent at least a half a day trying to get the problem identified and fixed. (It was actually a computer specialist who used to work in the wireless field who figured it out with an AT&T tech) None of that would've been a problem because everyone makes mistakes. It was a big annoyance since I'm about to leave the country but it happens. The problem came with the manager. When I went to return the AT&T TV box (separate issue), I told the manager about the mistake and he said nothing. He just acted like I had not said anything at all. I wasn't sure he heard me so I repeated what had happened. Still nothing. I then said I was surprised that he had no reaction to that, no apology, no suggestion that he would mention it to her and suggest that she slow down when she puts in those numbers... just nothing. I told him that I had managed a store before and that I would be sure I apologized to the customer for their inconvenience but he just got defensive. He said, "I don't understand what the problem is. got a new iPhone from Apple.com with eSIM supported. Put my existing AT&T SIM card in and it works. Want to free up the SIM slot, so went to this store to ask for migration from physical SIM to eSIM. The answer from the manager is that I need to activate a second line in order to use the eSIM. Because primary number can only be used in the physical SIM slot. Of coz I don't think this is true. Found the answer online https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210655 with iOS 15, I can convert my physical SIM to eSIM without even visiting AT&T. dear AT&T, your staff don't even know the how things work within your system. read more

I went to location this past Monday to get my daughter a new phone. The gentleman seemed very nice that was helping us. Please pay attention keyword is SEEMED! My daughter chose the phone she like and we got everything activated. I was a little all over the place as I have pregnancy brain at the moment and he took FULL ADVANTAGE of it. So, close to being done he informed me that there was a promotion going on that if I got a 5th line there would be discounts the usual sales pitch. I informed him that I don't need a 5th line at the moment. He stated okay and that was that. Something told me to check my account and so I did. I saw a 5th line on my account t that I did not authorize. I immediately contacted the att customer and explained that there shouldn't be a 5th line on my account and it was not authorized. After explaining to the rep he stated he put in a complaint and removed it. I spoke with my friend right after who also works at an att store but in a different state and he informed me that he experienced in store reps who would get SIM cards and older phones that still take SIM card and add it to the customers accounts to make a sale. If you don't notice it within 14 days of them doing that you are stuck with the extra line and the in store sales rep made commission off of you. Sad, to say sometimes the store managers are in on it if they are below their sales quota they get desperate and turn the other check. I'm contacting corporate to let them know. But if I were you STAY AWAY FROM THIS ATT STORE!!! DO NOT TRUST THE REPS OR MANAGER AT THIS LOCATION!!! And IF YOU GOT A PHONE FROM THIS LOCATION PLEASE CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT TO MAKE SURE THEY DID NOT ADD ANY UNAUTHORIZED LINES OR YOU'LL BE STUCK WITH IT!! The values at this store is horrible!!! This time I ran into Earl, who proceeded to explain in such obscure terms about why I could not do what the website said, and instead had to pay $75 early upgrade, adn pay off my wifes phone, or join the next program, and.....I apologized to my daughter and walked out. I waited 45 minutes to pay my bill and when it came down to paying it the iPad wasn't working and the worker claims they don't have extras he told me to call and pay my bill and walked away to help another customer. I asked to speak to a manager and he said they only have an assistant manager and he was busy. Nice try "Manager of AT&T Store"... When I go to this location it's not that I have to wait long or wait any to be helped, it's that once I explain what it is that I'm trying to do for example "I would like to pay of the remaining balance on this phone with this specific phone number" the employee who typically is the one who helps me gives me the total and after that payment is made we discover that they applied that payment to the whole account instead of that specific number I mentioned to them. Once that happens I'm not able to get refunded, and now the employee and the assistant manager are telling me that I'm not able to put a payment on that phone but I would need to pay it off in full and more about having to credit or accelerate the payment so that when I come in the next time in which I had told the assistant manager that I would be in within the next few days to pay the remaining balance that I had her write down for me. That total that she told me was $224 and some change. I told her to just told round it up to $225 for me on the sticky note she was about to write the balance on. I will have that sticky note attached below in your assistant managers hand writing. Ultimately she is able to help but even so I am in the store for nearly 30 minutes if not more. The few days pass and I come in to pay the $224 and change left on that phone and the assistant manager who told me to just come see her when I'm there since the others employees seemed to not be able to help on previous visits and the manager were nowhere to be found. A different employee that has never helped me before didn't even know where to begin after I explained to him what was going on and from what he could see was that the total was accelerated to the next bill date and he kept mentioning a total of $399 when I had to repeatedly let him know that the balance on this specific phone should only be $224 and some change he then got on the phone with the manger who was of no assistance so that new employee helping me said all he could do was to give me that assist managers email. I told the employee that I don't have the time to just keep coming to this store when I have the money to pay the phone off now. After him saying again, that all he could do is give me the assistant managers email I left the store and made the original post here on Yelp. Today, October 15, I proceeded to come to the same store with hopes that the assistant manager would be there to help me since that is what the last employee told me that she would be back this Thursday. Instead the manger is there. When I enter, I am greeted by the employees and manger and I then asked if the managers as there not exactly sure who the manager was. The manger speaks up and says he will be to help me momentarily and shortly after that he began to assistant me. First off asking me what was my name again. After I told him he went on to say "oh you're the one who bashed me on Yelp the other day and basically said I'm a liar and his employees always help me with no problems. I briefly let him know that I in fact had encountered problems several times while at this particular store and from there I told him again that I was there to pay the remaining balance on this specific number. He told me that balance was $359.97 without arguing that number too much I asked to make sure that was just the balance to pay off that specific phone not including the service and he confirmed and I made that final payment. It wasn't until I had gotten to my car that I then seen that "Manager of AT&T Store" had replied to my original post trying to down play it and make it seem as if I was just being impatient and having to wait while employees assist other customers. That is very much so not the case but because of that I am here explaining step by step to show how much in detail I know my own experiences in this store for this "Manager of AT&T Store" to be calling me a liar . When I arrived home I began searching for the note that the assistant manager had wrote the balance on and I found it still with $225 on it so how or what made my total $359.97 today or $134.97 more than what it should have been??? The worst experience I've ever had at an AT&T store and possibly any store in a long time. I upgraded my son's phone as a birthday present. I mentioned that to the rep, Moke. However, I did not understand that the phone's get activated right at the store, even with the phone still in the box. Moke never indicated that to me and apparently I was supposed to have told Moke not to activate it. He even told me that it was my fault for not telling him that, even though I did say it was a birthday present. You would think he would have asked me about activation period, let alone the fact that it was a birthday present. So now my son has a phone he can't call with until we see him and it ruined the surprise for him since I needed to contact him another way to tell him he couldn't make calls because he's getting a new phone! I spoke to Brittany she said they had it in stock, and told me to ask for her when I arrive, so I headed down on my way.
