AT&T absolutely SUCKS!! We have been trying to get them to help us resolve a problem with our new APPLE IPHONE for 4 days now (10+ hours) and still haven't been helped. They don't know anything at the store and keep calling for help while you sit there. Then, after 90 min. they give you a card to call customer service! They then try to sell you AT&T Fiber. Oh sure, we definitely would pay even more to them and turn our internet over to them?!!! Avoid avoid avoid!! Then we recd a bill with extra charges. So we feel completely ripped off. read more

Stephani solved my Pixel Watch 3 LTE connection problem as my eighth (8!) contact with AT&T stores and chat experts. My extra-cost, extra-phone-line watch had NEVER worked with my Pixel 7 phone powered off (as advertised by AT&T). Help and lies from one prior "expert helper" elsewhere had left my watch in a state where it wouldn't even tell time! I know faceless corporations don't inspire positive reviews and I have had my issues with AT&T, however I want to give a shout out to three remarkable individuals who work for AT&T. I went in today, 11/28/2023, to the Berkeley retail store at 2180 Shattuck Ave to have an annoying problem with my iPad fixed. I had been troubleshooting it for months online or on the phone with AT&T without success. The three men who helped me were Bryant S., Fanon B., and store manager Elex G. They were determined, tenacious, and unfailingly courteous for the hour and a half it took to correct a problem AT&T had created months earlier. I am so appreciative of their time, dedication, and professionalism. I highly recommend this store and you will be fortunate to have one of these gentlemen work with you. I've been a customer for many years and went into the store and spoke with someone to increase my data plan. I was promised only a $15 increase in my monthly bill but couldn't believe it when the new monthly fee was an additional $60!! On Tuesday, 10/31/2023, around noon I went there because I could not unlock the screen. 2 workers on shift did not help me: they were very rude and incompetent, they did not even know how to turn my phone on/off. I begged them for help but they refused to help; instead, they were flirting with each other. This is unacceptable. AT&T local stores may not always be the best resources to acquire about services but there (877) 722-3755 customer service line definitely is. I have been a long term U-Verse customer with AT&T for many years and had the pleasure to witness both the positive and/or negative side to the business. Since 2020, I was able to change my service line into Fiber because it became available to my area. In 2022, there was an issue to the plan but AT&T's management team didn't hesitate to provide a solution to the problem. This is the worst store ever. I ordered an iPhone online with pick up at store and then I called to confirm if they have it and they said yes. Few minutes later, my order was canceled with no reason and they said that I could come directly at store and pick up. I left my work earlier to do so. The staff was extremely rude. They spent 40 minutes saying that they are looking my account, trying to selling me lines that I don't want. Even when I said no three times, they keep it trying. Finally, the unprofessional lady told me that they are out of stock. It's shocking how bad this service I got. I am trying to spent more than $1200 and they act like I am an idiot. Bad bad services. OK I'm grandfathered in AT&T customer before 2002 from cingler wireless to today. 128 gig iPhone 6s Plus is now about four years old and has several minor Issues that require me to get a replacement device. This location opens at 10 AM I'm doing my two hour phone back up starting at 9 AM on the AT&T Wi-Fi service before even the store opens I see management And other employees as well as security coming to work it is now 1030 and Like a switch OFF GOES WIFI CONNECTION (and only effects me)And three sets of staring hard eyes at me for not coming into the store just yet. I walking in to ask will the Wifi be returning on and if can finish or I should restart my two hour process.With a few smart comments from a female employee and a gentleman who looks like he is the on-site manager. (It's not off we are all connected try the Starbucks down the street ) I refrain from opening up a can And proceeded to yelp they Azz. !(step one) My situation is that I am an African-American male And because he thought I was doing some kind of whatever activity they wanted me off their Wi-Fi. For those who have large gigabyte iPhones No the difficulty of backing up your phone without your Mac computer over Wi-Fi I am the time consumption it takes out of your life. Don't have a problem with AT&T usually, but this store is terrible. About 5 people "working" there, but only one actually helping any of the customers in there. We had to wait about 20minutes (while paying for a parking meter on Shattuck) just for an employee to finally look up my account and tell me I could not upgrade yet. Easily could have been a 2 minute visit, absolutely will not be giving this store my business again. Waste of time and money. read more

i giving 5 stars to True, the loveliest, nicest and kindest person one can ever meet. she was the only one helping while all the other employees at this store kept dismissing, making rude remarks and were just cruel to me. True stood up for me to her lazy and rude coworkers, and helped me in spite of her lazy, rude coworkers telling her, in front of my face, to not help me. True went above and beyond and helped me contact customer service on the phone; while her other coworkers started making loud noises and rude and cruel remarks, so I would be uncomfortable and leave. But True persisted in helping me and miraculously got my problem resolved! I was moved to tears by her kindness and willingness to help me. ATT, you need to get rid off your lazy, unkind and rude employees and get more people like True. Great store- received prompt, courteous service adding a phone line and two phones. I went on a Monday when they opened and got help right away. Jordan was the employee who took care of the whole process. I wanted to take advantage of their BOGO deal and had trouble online because it was saying I had to change numbers. FRAUDSTERS!!! I was supposed to get a BOGO deal and the store representative knew that. I made a downpayment of excess than I was required (I chose to). So this lady made me sign some stuff and gave me an extra phone instead of giving me the offer (my extra downpayment went to the added phone than for the deal). Additionally I was charged for two extra numbers (was supposed to get only one extra), all for her commission! I was provided an insurance of 12$ each without being given any option (you can opt for 9$ or no insurance), I did not notice it since I wasn't provided any paperwork (I was there for 2 long hours). I was never provided a copy of any bill, was told would be emailed!!! She cheated me outright, and I know it wasn't an honest mistake coz she was talking to another representative multiple times during my visit. These people CHEAT you outright for commissions! I moved to Berkeley recently, so newcomers please avoid this AT&T store in particular. read more
