This was hands down the worst Indo-Pak restaurant buffet I've ever had! I actually spit my food out and I usually can eat anything. Tandoori chicken was so dry and couldn't even stab it with my plastic fork. You get foam plates by the way. The sign said $5.99 lunch buffet but because they apparently had more meat, it went up to $7.99. What if we were vegetarian? No variety and food was bland. This is NOT the place to go have lunch. I ordered on a meal delivery and the curries were still literally boiling hot when they arrived. I usually judge Indian food off their samosas and i have to say they were extremely disappointing. The samosas just werent anything great- i wouldnt get it again. They were a little over cooked and theres none of the normal sweet red spicy green chutney to go with it. They did serve it with a really spicy but not very flavorful chili sauce. The other bad part was the paneer tasted like (excuse my french) shit, like literally. Idk why... but the tikka masala curry itself was delicious! I got both saag(/palak) and tikka masala paneer. The tikka masala is rich and flavorful but its not too heavy and you still have a nice tomato flavor! It was reaaaally good! The saag is ok. Its not as creamy as I like but it has a nice deep flavor. Delicious! Our family has catered from Asma for multiple occasions including vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Everything is great! Asma can be very busy so don't let that turn you away, just have everything in writing and confirm the catering menu a few days before your event. Can't believe she does this all on her own, and you can see how tired she gets. The lunch buffet is also yummy. For lunch, you only have time for a few dishes so she brings quality over quantity. Talking about this Pakistani restaurant, I have to admit I am a big fan of their lunch buffet. Priced at 6.99$ per person, monday to friday (11.30 am to 4.00 pm), it is cheaper than any of its surrounding competitors. Now you may find that price suspicious. I did too, but I was surprised at the amount of choices you get. Rice, chicken, beef, veggies, grilled items, salads and light dessert; you will find them all in this reasonably priced and tasty buffet. Their service is good too but environment is Ok, nothing too clean or fancy. No biggie. So people drop by for lunch and satisfy your taste buds and your tummy. Usually, I would not go to a restaurant such as this (more chill vibe and not really a special occasion atmosphere), but since it was so last minute and we had a party of 15, we settled. There really isn't much to say about the place since it's apparent as you walk in. Ok in terms of looks, casual dining with styrofoam plates. Need to go up to the register to order. I've been to several Pakistani restaurants before and they are similar so I'm not complaining here just pointing it out. I think for me, what really differentiated this place from other Pakistani/Indian restaurants was the service and food. While service wasn't blatantly rude, it was very mediocre and no effort was made to make guests feel welcomed. The servers looked so bored and it seemed like they were doing us a favor by even taking our order...like?? Food was aight. We ordered a bunch of different dishes, including chicken 365 and vege biryani. The naan was well cooked and according to my family, you can't go wrong with chicken 365 (I'm vegetarian so can't comment on that). The vege biryani was basically a bunch of cauliflower in rice with spices sprinkled on...I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Some of the worst Indian cuisine I've had in life and I've eaten in NYC, Sao Paulo, DC, Dubai, New Zealand and Atlanta. The goat was mostly bone and dry with no sauce. It had no semblance of taste. The spicy hotness seemed as a mask to cover up the lack of freshness. The piles of rice fed as if in a pig's trough was noticeably old and dry as were the potatoes dumped in the middle. We stopped by this establishment with our extended family, who have been coming here for years. We enjoyed their behari kabob, fresh paapri chaat, shami bun kabob, and pani puri. That said, we stopped by Asma's Cuisine for the Lunch Buffet after noticing a positive Yelp turn up on the Feed and checking out the Asthma website. The interior is fairly nondescript with a number of tables and booths... a couple of flat screen tvs, a counter to order at and the buffet. It's a pretty small buffet for Lunch. Which is fine, but nothing was good enough to make me want to back there and pass up some higher quality Indian cooking along the way. The variety of food was "fine", the items were "fine" ... i've had much better Naan in other places ... Asma's Cuisine seemed to be a family-run venture, as there were only a cashier and a cook noticeable when I was there. The interior is clean, but spartan, though I noticed the door to the kitchen could use some care with a Clorox Wipe (that's all it would take to clean that door up!) I wonder if this is more of a "take-out" place(?), even though the lunch buffet did have a fair share of diners. Give it a try if you are in the area. I saw Asma's as my husband I drove past and we've stopped by on several occasions now. It's pretty standard Pakistani Indian food, all of it on the spicy side (which isn't neecessarily a bad thing at all, but since it's buffet you have no choice about asking them to go light on the heat.) It's VERY cheap, which can be nice if you're watching your budget. On the negatives, don't expect actual wait service (other than getting our waters, it was all do-it-yourself) and I really dislike being served on styrofoam when I'm not getting the meal to go. I expect it from a food court, and expect better of a place where I'm going to sit down and eat a meal. The interior decor is basically non-existant, and you pay at the counter. I ordered grilled items and biryani to go for a party and picked it up at 6 pm. The biryani had a different smell but since there were raw onions on it I thought it could be that. Also, there was so much oil in it and for a fleeting moment, I remembered that a restauranteur friend had once told me that when there's too much oil you should know its stale. Went back this morning with all of it to show them that they had given me stale or bad biryani and it was not fit to be consumed. If you want Pakistani food Punjabi-style, this is the spot! Huz and I have been several times and each time the food is piping hot, spicy, and flavorful. We wouldn't have chosen them to cater our wedding in August if we didn't believe in what they sell (fresh, homecooked, savory and spicy Desi food). Haven't really seen any non-Desis in there, so it may be intimidating to walk into but the owners are super sweet and will take the time to explain the menu to you. This is also a halaal place with a lot of options for meat eaters (including nehari and haleem).Portions were huge and compared to what we find on Lawrenceville Highway, the prices are way cheaper, and the food is not nearly as oily as Zyka (sorry Zyka lovers; Zyka food is taxi-cab driver food and I don't mean that in a good way). The big drawback is how far it is from Decatur/Oakhurst/Kirkwood/East Lake. :-( Also their website is a lil clunky, but don't let that turn you off.
