In town for biz with my team [[HIGHLIGHT]]6 of us in a booth very chill and relaxed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] , Started off with tea that set the pace . Lounge and Resturant , we started off with Hummus and pita, salad dish, kibble that were amazing , stuffed grape leaves and finished it off with this amazing grilled platter with all kinds of meat . Definitely a keeper will be back .

I've been to several Middle Eastern restaurants, but this was my first time at one that also offers hookah, an interesting experience. We ordered classic hummus, the Family Mix Grill plate, kabab, Fattoush Salad, sambousa, shawarma, and a few traditional desserts. The food was decent, not the best I've had, but enjoyable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was efficient, and the relaxed lounge atmosphere makes it a good spot to hang out and socialize.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, a nice experience for a pleasant evening with friends.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Gorgeous women, love this place, will always come here, good hookah, great food, great prices, very busy unfortunately there are long wait times but, it's always worth the wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love you guys, I'll keep bringing my cars here

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the vibe, food and hookah.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Do try the dessert. Only non alcoholic drinks available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was interesting to see kids around at the hookah lounge but it is family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Maybe if they were in just a section that would be better so they aren't looking at the people around them smoking hookah or inhaling it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Elevated hookah restaurant with different seating areas to accommodate your occasion! I went on a beautiful date & the server was super helpful on choosing a flavor + kept an eye out for our hookah (our first time). Food was an absolute 10/10 with the exception of there not being any pomegranate seeds in my Fattoush salad. I asked if they could bring some and she said she they stopped serving them inside a while ago :'(. Other than this everything was delicious & top tier. HIGHLY recommend you start with the hummus plate ... it was to d!e for!

This place is open till midnight on the weekday. I believe last call for food is 11 PM. We just had dinner and needed a place to hang out. I found this place and decided to give it a try. We didn't know it was a hookah bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though we were not going to smoke, we liked the fact that the place was large enough that we couldn't smell the smoke anyway.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is very new and clean looking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was very nice and friendly. We just came in there for drinks and they were very accommodating even though we didn't order much. We were just checking the place out, but we will definitely come back because everything was great here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even the bathrooms were decorated nicely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Mint tea service.

That was a very nice experience, and the food was outstanding. Our meal started with some mint tea and a hummus appetizer. The mint tea was outstanding, and I like it that they had packet of sugar at the table for those of us who desired it. Topped with beef shawarma, the hummus was a total crowd pleaser. The pita was perfect. I want to say it was freshly made, but it may have been steamed. Either way, it was delicious. I could have eaten this by myself for dinner. My wife and I had a chicken shawerma wrap, which was tasty, and a little spicy. There was some nice garlic sauce on the side. Good stuff. Don't waste your time on the fries. My friends each got the chicken shawerma and the beef shawerma entrees. They looked delicious. I will be ordering one of these the next time I visit. Wait-staff here took excellent care of us, checking on us frequently. Foods were presented to the table hot and fresh, and sometimes with a small flourish. There is some real culinary artistry going on in that kitchen. The restaurant itself is a largish-space, with plenty of couches/sofas for lounging with your hookah and your meal, and plenty of tables that can be arranged to accommodate groups of all sizes. We arrived early, which I think was the right thing to do. As the evening progressed, the tables filled up with a variety of Middle Eastern clientele, and we were perhaps the only table that was not partaking of a hookah setup. There was LOTS of hookah action going on. Folks everywhere were celebrating, or relaxing, or just having a good time with each other. It was a good scene. Mazaj is also set up for live entertainment, but that wasn't happening during our visit. Perhaps we'll see that next time. Holler if you're coming with.

    Grape leaves and tabbouleh

The food is delicious! 10/10 the mint lemonade is to die for. I pretty much tried half the appetizer menu when I went. Everything was delicious! Hummus, baba ganoush, falafels, sambousa, tabouleh. The only thing that was not the best were the stuffed grape leaves. I always get the kofta and it does not disappoint. Unfortunately service is not the best. Last time I went I had to wait about 20 minutes to get my check after the plates had been cleared and it wasn't even my server that noticed someone else saw that I had been waiting. I saw there was a chicken shawarma side so I ordered it to go. I specifically told the server I only want it if it's one wrap if it's just the chicken I don't want it. He said okay I'll double check and only put it in if it's a wrap. I got home excited for my chicken shawarma wrap only to be disappointed because it was just the chicken. But food is 10/10. Would get 5 stars with better service.

What a gem! Husband and I wanted something healthy after an evening out and came across Mazaj on the way home and fell in love. The restaurant is in a plaza so there's ample free parking. Inside the restaurant is very spacious with either table seating or sectioned booths. We were seated at a table. We loved the authentic vibe of the middle eastern music & cuisine. Our waitress was very nice and gave us wonderful recommendations. We first ordered a Greek salad with mushrooms which was phenomenal. Along with a mint lemonade that was extremely fresh and potent in flavor. For entrees we had the chicken shawerma and beef shawerma that came with sides of rice. Both entrees were well seasoned and light. The portions were large so we had a good portion of leftovers to take home. The restaurant also had hookah available but we did not try that night. Will definitely be back to try more dishes, drinks and hookah.

Fatoush Salad with Chicken Shwarma - to go
    Mahia Z.

Mazaj has easily turned into one of my favorite lounges / Mediterranean restaurants in Atlanta. I will also say that their Fatoush salad is the best I have ever had. The first time I visited was around the time they had opened. Service was a little slow, and I was a bit disappointed as their food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. Since that first visit, I have gone back several times and my experience has been more than better. I have brought my friends and family from out of town here, and all have agreed at this being one of the best Mediterranean / Arab spots in the city. I recommend getting the fatoush salad. You won't be disappointed! I look forward to one day coming to one of the concerts / live music shows they have. Food is halal :)

Would have been good if I got my food. Ordered an Arabic chicken shwarma and waited an hour didn't received my order. Waiter was Ahbed and although he was nice, was not very attentive to our table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The overall ambience was great and I'm understanding that there was an event being held but customers should not have received the impact of this.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It wasn't very smoky when we went but we also went closer to closing so not sure if that makes a difference.

I was immediately greeted by friendly Chop Shop associate Victoria. I ordered a sandwich to go for my wife. She wanted the Grinder sandwich. This came with ham, turkey, salami, provolone, mayo, house greens, tomato, onion, banana pepper, oregano, and red wine vinaigrette on multigrain-sliced bread. She also wanted the strawberry ginger lemonade. She said the sandwich was a really good size (meaning that she could only eat half) and shared it with our daughter. They both said it was delicious and both rated it 9 out of 10 for the same reason. They would have liked the sandwich on a hoagie roll instead of the bread. They said nothing was wrong with the bread, except that they both felt the sandwich would have been better on a hoagie roll if that had been an option. I was here for a Yelp event. I ordered one of the Made For You bowls, the Hot Honey Chicken bowl + Hummus. It came with brown rice, house greens tossed in red wine vinaigrette, cucumber, tomato, banana pepper, red pepper hummus, hot honey sauce, Greek yogurt sauce, and house-baked tortilla chips sprinkled with Parmesan. I had the chips on the side because I wanted my bowl gluten-free. The bowl was delicious. I would definitely get it again. I also had the strawberry ginger lemonade, which is freshly made as needed, since I saw Victoria juicing ginger for another batch of lemonade while I was eating. All of the other Make It Original options sounded delicious, too. I plan on returning to try more of their bowls. Overall, this was a great experience, and we definitely recommend the original Chop Shop.

I didn't try the regular chicken, but I had the beef shawarma and the chicken Tandoori shawarma. I like saying shawarma. Anyway, the Tandoori was AMAZING- spicy, creamy, fresh veggies, and very flavorful! The beef was a little grainy in texture, but the flavor was really good- the flavor of the turmeric really stood out on the beef. The seasoned fries were nice and crispy and had just the right amount of potato fluff on the inside to stay hot and still be crunchy the entire time we were eating. Honestly, they might even have been better with a side of Tahini sauce and no seasoning sauce. Next time- I'll ask for that! When the owner stopped in, he saw we were with dad and gifted us a couple of their house-made ice cream cups! We got a pistachio and a cookies and cream. They were both very delicious! The pistachio was better though. We all agreed on that! Overall, the place is trendy, clean, well-priced, and has good service and food! The atmosphere is very casual, with no music and they usually have a table outside if you'd rather eat in the fresh air. I'd define come back. Nice place! Give them a shot.

My sister was ordering with her toddler, who is on the autism spectrum and struggles with verbal commands. While she was holding him, he reached toward the sneeze guard glass. Instead of a polite, professional request, the male manager approached my sister aggressively, yelling at her and threatening to remove our entire party. It was alarming to witness a manager raise his voice at a young mother and her child. When my mother asked another employee (Mahandra) if that individual was indeed the manager, she began to argue with us as well. While they claimed it is store policy to prohibit touching the glass, there is no justification for the aggressive, hostile manner in which this was handled. A simple, polite explanation would have immediately resolved the situation, as my sister would have gladly complied. Beyond this interaction, I had a previous experience at this location where their steak caused me food poisoning. Given the lack of basic hospitality and these recurring issues, I will not be returning to this specific location.
