Great coffee and MUST TRY Empanadas. This is the best empanada (I think) I've ever had. Some flavors are more worth getting than others. Both the Bacon and Onion Empanadas were basically just cheese-filled and felt more Americanized; however the regular Beef one was sooo good. I'd eat five more. Incredible flavors! Sanyo's is a very nice coffee shop with friendly & helpful staff. This my second time here. The empanadas are made to order fresh! We had the beef, chicken & spinach. All very good! Last time here I had the squash one & it was very good as well. We ordered a mango, papaya & pineapple & the Green fit juice. Both were good & healthy! The green fit is not sweet, which is very healthy. We also tried a cheese bread which is homemade as well. We already started eating the cheese bread before I realized I forgot to take a photo. Definitely, a good place to get food that is fresh! The shop is hidden, I guess you can say the closest place to it is Burger King. I picked up a pastry surprise bag from Too Good To Go today, from a small café not far from home. Got there right at 6pm to collect. Honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed when I opened the bag--it included a lemon cupcake, a croissant, two small cheese buns, and a caramel cookie. The presentation was just okay, nothing too exciting. That said, I ended up having them for breakfast the next morning, and they were actually decent. I was nearby with a friend, and we were both in the mood for a quick bite/snack. An acquaintance had previously mentioned that the empanadas were pretty good, so we decided to pop in. The owner was there. He was really nice and welcoming, and he gladly answered our questions before we placed our orders. I ordered a cheesy beef empanada, which is also filled with peppers and onions. I also ordered a chicken empanada with leeks and onions. I considered a café con leche, but I wasn't really in the mood. While we waited, I took a few pictures of the space. It's small with limited seating, but it's designed nicely. There were a couple of other small parties seated, but it was pretty quiet. The food took a quite a bit longer than we anticipated to be served, but when it came it was nice and hot. My favorite of the two was definitely the cheesy beef. The chicken and leek one needed more seasoning. All in all, Sanyos is worth checking out if you're in the area! read more

Finally tried this hidden gem after seeing videos online about it! This spot is located in the building behind a Burger King on Jimmy Carter and across from a Wells Fargo. It's in the back corner, it might be a bit hard to find at first. There is lots of (free!) parking in the area. The interior is so neat and modern! It's surrounded by plants and a cute earthy vibe to it. I tried the salted caramel iced latte! I'm not much of a latte girl but I really enjoyed this drink! My friend and I also ordered some empanadas. She ordered the ham and cheese one and I ordered a beef and a chicken. The owner behind the counter gave us a heads up that the empanadas are made to order so they would take 10-15 minutes. In the mean time we tried a slice of their Dubai chocolate cake! It was so good, the mix of flavors wasn't at all overwhelming and complimented one another, it was not too sweet! The empanadas were amazing, I'd come back just for those! My favorite was the beef one with peppers and onions, I definitely savored those last bites. The chicken was really good too! It's like walking into a friend's place, super cozy and inviting. I got the café con leche; after telling Jhon the type of coffee I like, he recommended the café con leche. The café con leche was absolute perfection. I also had the beef, chicken, and mushroom empanadas - all three were amazing, with the right amount of filling and a crispy crust. Small, cute cafe located in a tight crowded parking lot. The aroma inside smells amazing. I tried the guava and cheese puff pastry. It was a bit mushy as if they put too much guava and cheese. New coffee spot that opened in the neighborhood. There's plenty of parking so that's nothing to worry about if that's any concern. Sanyos Coffee stands out a little because they have empanadas along with pastries. Coming back from a trip from Colombia reminded me of the cafés and to look up to find a cafe in the neighborhood was nice. I mean, coffee from Refuge is great, but to get better pastries/food I would probably choose Sanyos. Inside there's seating and you're free to take it to go, but we decided to eat there. I got the Mushroom and Beef empanada along with a latte. The food was great. If I would to make a recommendation between the two, I would go with the mushroom empanada over the beef. It gives more reason of coming back and trying the other types though. One thing that sort of made me sad was that this place wasn't opened for earlier hours. Sanyos opens at 9 AM, and I wished it was opened around 8 to start the day. However, I definitely will be back to Sanyos as my morning spot (after 9..). read more

This is such a hidden coffee shop. I shared the mushroom empanada and the beef empanada with the former one being my favorite. I also tried the pan de bono and the cafe con leche. Both were really enjoyable. If you get the combo: 2 empanadas + drink + pastry, the pastry has to be a sweet pastry, not a savory one. I wish this place didn't open at 9am, but opened at 7-8. I really enjoyed the empanada here! Got the ham and cheese and it was very fragrant. The texture was perfect and it was packed with filling. The matcha latte however was not my favorite, it did not really taste like matcha. It was pretty watered down. But the service here was super friendly. This was my second time visiting this location. The service here is not up to par, especially for the cost. I looked past that and came back a second time ordered a coffee and a danish. I had to request a better looking danish because the one that the young lady was trying to give to me was flat and Finn I receive my coffee which was cold. I asked if it could be reheated. Went with a friend who saw videos of this place and we decided to make our way over for a coffee date! We got empanadas, (Beef, Chicken, Ham and Cheese) and a Dubai Chocolate Cake. I had the ham and cheese empanada that was amazing. My friend had the beef and chicken empanadas, which also looked really good! While waiting for the empanadas I had a pistachio latte with oatmilk which was one of the best coffees I've ever had. I don't like overly sweet coffee and this was perfect it had a nice balance between the pistachio and espresso and the whipped cream made it all the better! We spotted the dubai chocolate cake and had to get a slice which I don't regret at all! I thought the cake was amazing and the mousse was perfect without it being overly sweet. The staff was super sweet to us bringing everything out immediately as soon as it came up and were very welcoming and patient with us and helping us order. Stopped by Sanyos Coffee with my boyfriend during a brief visit, and it was a delightful experience! He got an Americano and I tried the Cafe Con Leche--both drinks were excellent. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, making it clear that they take pride in their coffee. Although we only stayed for a short time, the modern and fresh decor caught my eye. It's a beautifully designed space that feels both welcoming and stylish. We didn't have a chance to try the pastries and empanadas this time, but they looked amazing. It was our first time, my wife and myself wanted to try something new. She loves empandas and supporting small businesses. She sent me in with a list, cause can us husbands really remember what wife's want correctly . First thing as I enter i feel like a deer in headlights just 5 people just staring at me. 2 workers and a 3 party family. First thing in my mind is like did I do something wrong. N 3 minutes of awkward stares I said hi n than may I order something is when a lady behind the counter pointed to cash register n motioned to me to come. Now this lady, quiet not very welcoming, how can I help you, how are you. So I was like fine, it's whatever I asked her for 2 empandas n a ice coffee. Gave her $3 tip. Sat on the uncomfortable wooden small chairs.( I'm a big guy so that didn't help the chair or me). N I'm already feeling awkward n unwelcome. So after 3-5 minutes there was the iced coffee, ready. So I went up to the counter said thank you for the coffee. N asked how much was a slice of cake. She said $6.35 n I was polite thru the whole thing. Quieter than a mouse on Xmas. Gave her a 20, i noticed she only put down that i gave her 10 dollars. But then I saw her grab her phone. I was like okay...maybe she's doing the math for the difference. NOPE. She dead ass looks me in the eyes in just gives me 10$ only. N that was it. I stood there at the counter just furious biting my tongue. I'm not a confrontational person, im a hermit kinda guy. For my first visit, I only did a pickup for some coffee. As a somewhat coffee connoisseur (lol don't hate me) it's about a 7/10, I just got the cafe con leche. It seems the empeñadas are the biggest staple at this spot which i will get next time. The space was clean but very little seating space for meeting a group here. I did notice there is a space along the back left wall to sit though so if you need a sensory protected space to work. The service was great, a nice young lady greeted me and took my order. Overall definitely seems like a newer spot that would be less crowded for people looking for a intimate conversation/work space. read more
