We recently bought a couch here not even 2 months ago, was sold on the fact that the couch was of the highest quality. The couch was broken about a month after delivery and it took 3 weeks for a technician to come out and check. The technician ripped open the couch just to tell me he couldn't fix it and that they would have to pick it up to fix. I called ashley to check and customer care told me that it takes about a week to fix so now i have to go a week without a couch and i was never even apologized to. I even bought the insurance yet i have to deal with this just 2 months after buying an expensive couch. If you ask me, quality of the product is poor and so is customer service. Would not recommend buying furniture from ashley any time soon. read more

We had great customer service from J.R. At the South Park Meadows store. Haven't had the furniture delivered yet but would work with J.R. Again! read more

Furniture is okay, but the delivery teams were absolutely the worst that I have ever encountered. The men that made the two deliveries that brought my furniture were rude, inconsiderate and rather ignorant of how to set up my furniture. They traipsed through my home without even wiping their shoes on my doormat. I had to vacuum after each of the delivery teams left. One of the men on the first team said he had no idea how to put together the table that I purchased and said he would have to sit down and read the instructions first. They then saw that one of the pieces of the table was badly warped and said that a replacement would be delivered by a different team. The second delivery team managed to put the table together. However, when they were about to leave, I noticed that they left many large staples embedded underneath the tabletop that were used to hold a fabric covering for shipping. They actually asked if I wanted them removed! When I said that I did, they then wanted me to supply them with the tools to remove them! I sent a certified letter to Ashley more than a month ago, detailing these and other faults of their delivery teams and requested that Ashley respond to me. I also sent a copy of that letter to their Customer Service Department who acknowledged that they received it. Nobody from Ashley has responded. I received emails from Ashley asking me for reviews of my purchases. I submitted reviews that noted the horrible delivery people. They responded that such comments were not going to be accepted by them! Obviously, they only want positive comments. What a joke they are! If you decide to purchase furniture from Ashley, I strongly suggest you pick it up yourself or hire your own delivery people. Their delivery teams are horrible. read more

Ashley HomeStore is getting one star only because I have to give at least that rating as a minimum. My wife and I bought a sleeper sofa and chaise lounge from the S. Austin location back in July and have still not received the sofa sleeper as of Oct. 13th, 2019. First the sofa was back ordered, then it was delivered damaged, it was on back order yet again, and yesterday we were notified that the sofa was on the delivery truck but had frame damage. So yet another screw up by Ashley HomeStore and we are still without our sleeper sofa that we bought in the summer! When I call the delivery warehouse, they say call the store where you bought the items, when you call the store, they say call some corporate number. When you call the corporate number and get lucky enough to talk to anyone who knows anything that is helpful, they just reschedule your delivery and "put you at the top". We will never buy from Ashley HomeStore ever again and I highly recommend that you shop elsewhere for your furniture needs. read more

Absolute JUNK. The finish has fallen off of two year old lightly used reclining sofa and love seat. We were looking for a couch and did not know exactly what we wanted but our nice salesperson Korie was a tremendous help. She was very patient with us, directing us all over the store while we went back and forth looking for that perfect couch. We even picked one out and she started the paperwork and as we were waiting our turn to pay for it , we changed our mind and decided on another couch we thought would fit us better, so poor Korie had to re-due all the paperwork. So kudos to Korie for making our experience a pleasant one! read more

Terrible customer service. Mediocre quality of furniture. Way over priced for what you get. I bought a sofa and a dining set from Ashley furniture in December. The delivery men were very rough with the furniture and ended up putting a small hole in my sofa while trying to get it inside. I told them not to worry about putting the dining table together bc I would be moving soon and it would be easy to move without the legs. Big mistake. They left me a sealed box with the legs and (supposedly) the screws/hardware to put it together. So after I move, I go to put the table together and the only thing in the box are the legs. No screws or anything. I called customer service and asked if I could pick up screws. No, they have to order them. So I asked if they would come out and out the table together themselves for all of this trouble. They said that was fine and scheduled a delivery for a week from then. Which I was already upset about since that's a week with no place to eat. Then I call that Saturday and I was told it would be the NEXT Saturday. Oh great, two weeks with no table. I spoke with a few different customer service people and none of them seemed to care. It was pretty much like, "sucks for you, nothing we can do." They basically told me I should have cut open the box and looked myself. Sorry I trusted your employees to do their job? How presumptuous of me. Then I asked if they could at least make sure it was a morning delivery since I had a busy weekend. Nope. All they can do is "request" a time but it doesn't mean anything. Bottom line: spend your money somewhere else. They don't care about customer service or doing a good job after they have your money. read more

I experienced problems with Ashley furniture Southpark meadows before. I decided to shop there again as I am a firm believer that we all deserve a 2nd chance. Well this was a mistake. The delivery process is horrible. The financing dept is horrible as they fail to explain their policies in depth. I signed up for the 90 day same as cash, no interest. Well little did I know that you are not allowed to pay more than your minimum payment until you have the payoff balance in full. I was not informed of this until after I attempted to make a payment more than the minimum. The sales rep informed me that they expect their customers to put that money in a savings account and then pay it off before 90 days to avoid interest. This is a SCAM! Realistically how do they expect some people to put money in a savings and not touch that money. If they could afford to do that they wouldn't have financed the furniture to begin with. This is wrong! In regards to the delivery dept I was misinformed of the deliver time and I was at fault. I originally had to wait 2 weeks to receive my furniture and since I was misinformed on the time now I must wait 3 more days. I went as far as speaking with the Corporate Dept and they seemed not to care. Need I say I got rid of my old bed and have to sleep on the floor for 3 days. No one seemed to care. Bad business, they are quick to make the sale but bad at customer service! Stay away! read more

I bought a recliner and a dinning set from Ashley Furniture 4 years ago and also bought their "protection" plan because I have 2 kids. Well, it turns out the couch leather just falls apart on its own and its color completely faded. I called Ashley to file an insurance claim but then they sent me to Montage who denies my claim because they don't cover manufacture's defect (that's not what the sell person at Ashley told me). Overall, I think there furniture would last you a few years and remember to not buy their extra protection plan because they'll just deny your claim for "manufacturing defect". read more

I have shopped at Ashley many times before. Their furniture look nice and is cheap but doesn't hold up. It looks pretty good so as long as you don't get much use out of it, it isn't a bad place. BUT, they just changed their return policy to say that you can't return items after 48 hours of purchase. Now get this, they don't deliver their furniture till after the 48 hours is up. So if you get it in your house and see it doesn't match or fit, you are stuck with it. It is a completely dishonest practice and I feel totally taken advantage of. Especially from a furniture store where everyone else allows you to check it out in your house for a few days. I get charging restocking fees or something like that, but just not allowing a return is ridiculous. I will never shop there again. read more

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE!! DO NOT SHOP HERE! You will be so disappointed. They do not stand behind their poor quality products and the salespeople will give you lip service to make a sale. They are STILL selling Durablend and it will crack and peel on you in just a few years. Look up Ashley Furniture and Durablend. It's bad stuff! Good luck trying to find contact information for managers. They do not give out lady names nor phone numbers. You have no idea who is who because they won't tell you. It's awful. We've been contacted twice about our concerns and after we give our contact information, we never hear from them again. It's the most crooked experience I've ever been a part of. I'm taking it to the news station as I've connected with groups on Facebook for this issue and it's a big one. People are starting lawsuits. There are so many other furniture stores out there. Very disappointed with Ashley's Furniture. First we were lied to about availability and delivery. We purchased a living room set and mattress set. The coach cushions sagged within the first month. ashley's Did send new cushionsTwice already. The mattress sagged so bad within the first month of using. The mattress is a Bonita Springs Firm Mattress. A month later the Ashley's did replace the mattress. 4 months later then the replaced new mattress began sagging too. It's been months going back and forth with the store. They did send a technician out to measure. To my face he told me this mattress should not be sagging and apologized for the all the problems and said we should either get our money back or a different brand mattress. When I called the store, they said the technician said it's only sagging an inch deep and doesn't need to be placed. I have such bad hip and back pain because of this mattress. I took the Extra insurance as well and the store still doesn't care. I would not recommend buying furniture from Ashley's furniture. What a nightmare. read more

This is not quality furniture and it is sold at an exorbitant price. We bought a couch and love seat and the sales person said it was "leather" and would last for 20 years if we took care of it. Only two people live in my house and we take excellent care of our furniture. Within a couple of years the "leather" furniture was peeling and cracking. I now have it covered with blankets to keep it from flaking on people. It is absolutely awful and a huge waste of money. The dining room table we bought had to be replaced within a couple of months because the table cracked. Do not buy this furniture. Run in the opposite direction. The sales people will tell you anything to get you to purchase. read more

First off, let me start by saying that this is my first yelp review. I am one of those people that always says "I'm going to yelp this place" and my recent experience at Ashley Furniture in Southpark Meadows was finally the kick I needed to get on here. My husband and I bought a TV chest back in October, and when it was delivered, it was damaged. We called, no problem, they brought another the next week. Damaged. Two weeks later, they brought another one. Also damaged. Then they scheduled what would've been the 4th, and they were a no call no show. Here it is January 26th, and they are saying there is one scheduled for Feb 11th! FOUR months later. Do not buy from them, their customer service is horrible! Their furniture isn't even built solidly. Look at the showroom pieces up close and carefully, you will see that it's actually pretty cheap underneath the "cosmetics". Go to Star Furniture, you'll pay a little more, but you get (hopefully, eventually) what you pay for!! read more

Posted an earlier review of their horrible delivery process. There is no excuse for the actions of the person that intentionally kept rescheduling our delivery. That experience is forever imprinted on my brain. However, to be fair, there were a couple of highlights. First, a customer service rep named Erica tried everything she could to make the delivery work. She too was continually mislead. She continually proactively called me whenever there was any update to the situation, even though it was never good news. She is a Good employee that cares about the customer. I was also contacted by escalation in regard to the situation because of my yelp complaint. Hopefully corporate will work on the management at fulfillment. Lastly, the furniture is wonderful!!! Works well in my house and is very comfortable. Overall, great merchandise, but local warehousing management needs to be replaced!!!!!!! No regard for the customer. Only a 2 star for a store that could be a 5 if they do something about their delivery management read more

I wish I had something good to say of to place but sadly I do not. I bought a couch set a few years back and included the warranty . The sofa is a faux leather type sofa and it began to peel off. Thinking I would make good use of the warranty I called only to be told that they can't do anything. Why do they offer warranty if they are not going to do anything? Be wary of this store and their "extended warranty" offers. read more

I so wanted to give 5 stars I loved my sales guy Justin he was funny, very helpful and not pushy at all. not what you expect from furniture sales people. and everything we bought was of good quality and very nice, however, I was misinformed on the 14 day return policy, my furniture was broken into two separate delivery dates,as a recliner had to be ordered, I was told my 14 days would start the day the last piece was delivered. that wasn't the case at all. Once it was all there together the couch is too big (and a lighter color than I thought, but that's on me) I can't hardly walk though my living room, so.. thinking I could have it easily swapped for a love seat, I called the next day after the recliner was delivered. The service rep. could care less what I was told, and just kept repeating the return policy long enough that I got mad,and even said," well, once you got the first delivery, you should have figured it out!" so obviously, the sales people can make any promises and the company won't even attempt to make it right. I want to say Justin didn't purposely mislead me. I really think he didn't know. which to me is lack of training on company policies. I'm really disappointed that the only option I have is either going to be to live with it that way, or spend above the 5,000 + I've already spent to be able to walk though my living room! I'll try to deal with the store directly but not holding any hope there. I'll re-post the end result. read more

When I walked in (on crutches) to buy some new furniture, I was greeted by JR. Seeing the state I was in, he told me to sit down on the nearest couch and let's talk about what I am looking for. After being laid up for 3 weeks on my furniture, I knew we needed a change. JR listened to exactly what a wanted. I have pets, so I wanted material "fur resistant", but not leather, because of my cats claws. We decided that microfiber was the way to go. The pieces I bought actually look like leather, but the cat hair isn't attached to it like an upholstered piece. He took me around to the select places that had what I wanted instead of carting me all over the store. I am very picky so we had to sit in several areas to find the right one. They were able to set up delivery a couple days later, and he even gave me the Columbus Day sale even though that was a week away. I also like the fact that there is a 45 day trial period especially since I bought it without my husband with me. Actually he didn't even know I was going to do it, but as soon as the doctor said I could walk, I went shopping! So, if he hated the furniture, I could return it. Overall I give JR 5 stars... The only reason I gave 4 is I did end up spending much more money than I thought, but I am hoping it holds up for a long time. I also hate the fact that I had to pay for delivery. But, just a little side note, the delivery people were GREAT, showed up right on time and texted me when they were on the way. Plus, I have a LONG, STEEP driveway that their truck would not fit up and they actually carried that furniture up the hill. They went above and beyond. Overall, I am happy and would recommend Ashley and JR to my friends. read more

Never buy anything from Ashley Furniture that is not in stock. We've been waiting over a month and a half for our couch to come, and the delivery has been rescheduled 3 times! The first time they actually delivered the couch they sold to us to someone else. Since then the only excuse they've had is it's not ready. They called to reschedule for the 4th time for 12/23. Over two months to get a couch. Ridiculous. We cancelled it. Don't trust them to deliver on time. They flat out told us they can't guarantee delivery. read more

When you visit Ashley Furniture, you are greeted by friendly, helpful sales people. The showroom looks great, the furniture looks like solid, stylish, durable furniture. Then you spend over $16,000 in furniture to outfit your new home. That is my husband and I did. Well the friendly, helpful, solid, durable furniture ended in the store. We had a brand new $1,000 recliner sofa for 3 months, and it pull mechanism broke. Notify customer service, and they send a new one, call them back to have some come and repair, which took several weeks. 2 month later the frame is loose, again, all customer service, they send someone repair 2 weeks later, then the frame is still lose and the sofa is moving, then send another repair person to repair, he said it is beyond repair that the whole from is broken. Did not even own the sofa for a year. Customer service they would replace the sofa, of course I did not want the same one, purchased another one which cost me $70 more. We wait another month for the deliver, and that sofa has torn cushion as well as a nail sticking out of the frame. Oh and when they picked up the old sofa and broke in half. The deliver driver decided to give my husband a hard time while he was on the phone with customer service. Customer service agreed to replace the sofa, for I was not going to go through repair after repair again. So what does Customer service do.....they send us a replacement cushion cover for a leather couch which the material does not match, we called again...agreed to replace the sofa again....yet we receive another cushion over and again material does not match. SERIOUSLY, I can not make this up. We are still awaiting a new sofa. It gets better....we purchased a $1000 sectional sofa for out son's new home...and yup...that sofa wasn't even in their house a week and the cushions started separating at the seams. So as the story goes, my son contacts customer service, they send out a repair person to sew together the seam....well you can just imagine how that goes, look worse then when it was torn. After several phone calls, several arguments with customer service they finally replaced the sofa. Ashley furniture should reimburse my husband and son for the time they had to take off work, waste their entire day for the delivery, repair persons to come to house (after all they have a 4 hour window) to get nothing accomplished. I feel sorry for the employees selling this furniture, for their customer service department is giving Ashley's a horrible reputation. We will never purchase a piece of furniture from them again. Beware of Ashley's furniture think twice before you purchase. read more

BEWARE CANCELLATION FEE INCLUDES 10% AGAINST TAXES AND DELIVERY CHARGE. Do NOT buy from Ashley HomeStore. I have been trying to contact the store about my order for over a week. When I spoke to customer service the FIRST time, I'm told they cannot cancel two items from my order and that I need to speak with someone in the store. So I redial the number and select store associate. The phone rings for over ten minutes. I try again later that day. I try again every day for a week. No one answers. I call customer service back, they still cannot cancel an item, but they send an alert to the store to contact me within three hours. Still no call. I call customer service the next day. They send another alert to the store. I finally take my 1.5 year old into the store hungry because apparently there is no other way to get a hold of them. I ask to speak to a manager and am told I'm speaking to one. I tell her my experience and frustration. The response, "we don't answer the phone if we're on another call and I get lots of email from lots of places." I'm done. I say, cancel my entire order. I'd like them to waive the 10% restocking fee but am willing to suck it up just to be done. Then I find out they are charging me a 10% cancellation fee that includes the taxes - that I won't be paying - and the delivery service - that won't ever happen. Now I'm livid. I called customer service again. Ask to speak to a manager. I'm on hold for over ten minutes. My baby is crying. She's hungry. I provide my number and ask for a call back. Well, I'm still waiting. You're better off going to STAR furniture or Rooms to Go. No cancellation fee and employees are responsive and considerate. read more

I am BEYOND upset with a purchase that I made with Ashley that was delivered on 07/13/2019. We purchased online after going to our local store, spending an hour there and never even being greeted by a sales person. The delivery was set to occur between 3-7pm and therefore I had to take the day off of work to accommodate this. By 7pm no one had arrived and my husband contacted delivery support to be told "they are running behind, they should be to your location by 8/8:30". Already, we were starting to become were upset because we were never contacted and given the update but we understand that delays occur. By nearly 9pm no one had arrived and we attempted to contact delivery support again (multiple times) however no one was answering the lines. At that point I contacted our local store to be told that because we purchased online "there is nothing anyone here can do for you". I asked for a phone number of someone who could help us and was told that it was the same number we had been attempting to call. I asked to speak to a manager to see if they could assist me and was told that there was no manager on duty that could speak to me. At this point, the delivery person contacted us to tell us that they would be to our location in an hour. An hour later we were contacted to ask if we wanted to reschedule because the delivery truck had broken down. I explained that I did not care if the delivery was at 4am, that I would stay up as I had to take the day off of work for this to occur. Our sofa did not arrive until 11pm and the delivery team indicated that delays and lack of communication are frequently occurring issues with Ashley. Had I known that it was going to be that late I WOULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN THE DAY OFF OF WORK! Had I even known that it would have been after 7pm and that my husband would have been home by then, no one would have had to have taken time off. I was contacted on 07/15/2019 by Ashley through the facebook page after writing a review about this experience to be told that someone would look into this matter... I am still waiting to hear from anyone! I called customer service today and waited over 30min without ever being able to speak to anyone... I want to know who is going to address this issue. Again, we understand that issues and delays occur however NO ONE contacted us to keep us in the loop and I took time off of work without pay unnecessarily! read more

Furnished my entire new home through them about 6 weeks ago. Sales guy Javier was great. Delivery had to be rescheduled several times, but I understand this is not the fault of the store. However, they left off a mattress from the order. Since some pieces have yet to be delivered, I assumed it was apart of those orders. It was not. I called to get it added to the order and delivered with the final delayed delivery. Since I have been waiting a month, I asked the manager, Mike, if he could take anything off the cost. He declined, saying they were already giving me 20% off (but only because the promotion I initially got is going on again - lucky me) and because no delivery fee (it's being delivered with an order that has been rescheduled 3 times). I asked again if there was anything he could do but he declined. Even if he had just taken $25 off to show he valued my business, I would have given them a good review, but considering I furnished 4 rooms with them, I have to say I won't be back. Does not value keeping current customers. read more

The sales process was efficient and pleasant enough when we purchased bedroom furniture for our daughter. It was actually getting the furniture delivered in a timely manner that was a nightmare. We were moving in six weeks, and didn't want the furniture delivered until we were in our new home. So we actually placed the order (and paid for it) a full six weeks ahead of the delivery date we requested. A few days before the scheduled delivery date, we received a call notifying us it would have to be rescheduled for a week later due to one part not being available. While disappointed (especially our daughter), we decided there was nothing that we could do about it and we still wanted the furniture. Two days before the second delivery date, another call...it would be ANOTHER WEEK. I called the manager and the salesperson to complain, but to no avail. Long story short, we did finally get the furniture, but never got an apology or explanation of any sort from Ashley. In the future, we will do business at a furniture store that can deliver the merchandise in a timely manner -- especially when it is ordered a full six weeks in advance. read more

Just had about $10,000 worth of furniture delivered to our house....new living room, bedroom, and dining room. First off, they sent the dining room table with pieces missing. I refused the table, and was unable to get a new table scheduled for delivery in a timely manner because all the trucks were routed for the following day. I believe they should correct their mistake by working around MY schedule. Second, when we went to make our new bed, we noticed there were black streaks all down the new tempurpedic mattress. Their solution is to open a service request where we have to take pictures of the stains to try to get an exchange. I don't believe we should have to jump through hoops when they JUST left!!! Honestly, it's not the best quality furniture out there but it will do the job at a reasonable price and they have a great selection, so it can seem overwhelming. They charge quite a bit for delivery and won't cut you a break at all but it is what it is. Overall very happy! read more
