Buyer Beware!!!! I will never buy anything that has to be delivered from them again. Worst execution in the industry. They lied to us, were rude and unresponsive. The warehouse coordinator tried to strong arm me into accepting an incomplete order. The stores themselves were great but are powerless to help. I would be willing to pay more and go farther to avoid looking stupid for trusting these clowns again. read more

They don't deserve a Star, in my opinion. I've been jerked around to the point, I WOULDN'T SUGGEST ANYONE, SHOP HERE, BROWSE HERE, CONSIDER BUYING HERE, AND THAT GOES FOR EVERYTHING THEY SELL. They sell furniture for a very good dollar amount, and then only stand behind it for one year. Even though I purchased the extended warranty, and encountered the same problem that had occurred 3 times during the first year, just 2 months after there one year warranty, and they won't do a thing. The personnel I spoke with over a six day chase, was good and bad. Some would state they were going to try and help me, and others NOT AT ALL. Even to the point of a manager, telling me, she had to end this call, and I hadn't got fowl with her YET. This is a great organization if you want to chase them, as they have much trouble answering the phone at the store, and will not return a call from corporate, even when calling you back is there idea. WALK AWAY !! read more

I really liked the store, designs and sales associate. The 3 star is for the customer care. It seems impossible to get to them. the center table that was delivered had some wood chipped off which I realized on further inspection later in the day. Each time I tried reaching them, I have been holding the call for 45mins+ but they never ever seem to pick up. I understand damages can happen during delivery and it may require the store to replace but I expect professionalism in customer care which is our 1st point of interface. read more

I purchased a faux leather living room set for Ashley Furniture that cost me well over $2500. I would expect for that price it would be quality merchandise. Within a few short months, the faux leather started peeling in buckets. Warranty? What warranty. I will never buy anything from this sham of a company again and I would advise you to do the same unless you are totally willing to just throw away your money. read more

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE CLOWN SHOW. Quick recap: My wife and I ordered a sectional on Dec 19 for delivery Jan 11. After 3 separate day-of delivery cancellations (3 days taking work off), and a subsequent Super Bowl Party cancellation, I am told that the product I ordered and paid for 8 weeks ago has been discontinued. Even more disappointing? There is no accountability or authority to offer any reasonable solutions. No phone calls are returned and I continuously get bounced from the store to their call center and back to their store - each pointing their finger toward the other. This is my first ever YELP review. To say this is the worst consumer experience I've ever encountered is putting it lightly. I DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT recommend using Ashley Homestore. read more

I went online and ordered a bed July 12th, the website said it would ship in 2-3 days and then would take 2 days to be delivered from the date it is shipped. I called on July 17th, waited 56 minutes to speak to someone, the man I spoke to said it was shipping the next day. At this time, I knew something didnt seem right so i tried chatting online, I was told to call the 800#. I also sent an email to the customer care but never received any response. When i didnt see my credit card charged the next day, i called on Friday and waited again for almost an hour. The woman I spoke to said it was being loaded on the truck that day. When i didnt see my card charged by Monday, i called again, waited 43 minutes to be told that it was scheduled to ship out later in the week, possibly the 25th or 26th. So obviously the first two people i spoke to lied to me just to get me off the phone. I went ahead and canceled my order. The girl was happy to cancel it for me. When I explained why, she did not try to make things right. Now I had to order a bed from another company and pay $122 to get it here in time. Ashley Furniture has the worst service and does not care to make it right. read more

I was in need of new furniture for my apartment when I split from my ex. The furniture looked nice on line and my children and I went to the Ashley store in Plano near George Bush. I ended up ordering a sofa sleeper, love seat, accent chair and rug. I was told it would be delivered within two weeks...I had to call them repeatedly to find out the delivery date, which was three weeks after purchase, on the sofa sleeper and love seat. Then I was told that even though I ordered furniture in August, the rug and the accent chair would be delivered at the end of October. Not good. But then when I didn't get that call and called again repeatedly, I was told not until closer to Thanksgiving. The sofa sleeper and love seat are not good quality. I get not the best of the best, but this quality is poor. What a waste of $2000.00. It will be a happy day when I can sell it soon or be in a position to give it away to a college kid who just needs some OK furniture. Save your money and go to a furniture store with a better quality product and service. read more

I recently called to have my couch repaired. Worse customer service I've experience. At the time I asked to speak to a manager. Who turned out to be Elsa. Not only was it after speaking with her and calling customer service, did I find out she canceled my pick up to have my couch repaired, she put in the notes that I refused the repair. Makes no sense to me. Store and sales reps at the store are wonderful but people dealing with the customer service side are terrible. Displeased. Especially with Elsa. Thanks to her I know how to wait another week to have a factory defect repaired. read more

I have two sides to my review. 1. Sales agent Lee, amazing! Attentive to detail, caring and real. 2. Customer Service HORRIBLE! So here's the story: mattress and box spring ;(foundation) came in, delivered to my house while I was at work. When i get home i see a bed thats as tall as my chest! First thing next day I called to try to exchange the foundation... long story short four weeks down and im still trying to get the foundation exchanged but everyone just declines and denies for me to have it exchanged. So now i have to climb up to my bed like a 4yo child for the rest of the life of this mattress. Thanks Ashley's Manager you are great! read more

I purchased a couch set from the Austin store in November. I was told that my order would be in before Christmas. In January I called and was told it would be in by the end of the week. I called back when it had not been scheduled for delivery and I was told that it would not be in until late March. I canceled the order and was told that they would refund the money to my card within 7 business days. It is now 10 business days and no refund. I called the number listed on the invoice store directly and was transferred to an operator somewhere not in Austin. He told me that I had to call the store directly to inquire about my refund at 512.519.3000 ext 3 I have called 27 times and the phone rings and rings and rings. I have left messages and imagine what???? they don't respond to the message. So I would suggest that you not do business with this store unless you want to wait 6 months for a couch and then never hear from them again when it doesn't come. read more

I purchased a sleeper sofa here less than 3 years ago. I paid a premium price for a crap sofa. Ashley furniture's promise of quality and service to be best ... I don't think so. HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE is more like it. Nice customer svc when they know the customer is buying a lot. But when the bill is already signed THERE IS NO MORE SERVICE! All the furniture and mattress we bought have to be returned and our mattress is defected - I am literally sinked in my bed and I am not 200 lbs! We have called and called and emailed numerous time: nothing! Well I never thought I will use social media for this but Ashley furniture you brought it on yourself. And i am done! They do not even deserve a one star. But yelp would not let me post w/o it. read more

Purchased a couch was told it is in stock and would be delivered in 2 weeks. Ashley called with a delivery date. The day they where to deliver I took a vacation day to wait the 9:00 to Noon delivery. At 1pm I called the customer service line and waited 30 mins to speak to someone only to be told SORRY it wasn't at the warehouse and will be 2 more weeks. That the have up to 4/weeks from purchase to deliver it. Asked for a manager and she claims she's it. I did get a few hundred dollars store credit. Which I really didn't want to go back We'll my wife went back to the store to use the credit May 30th and purchased a mattress. Oh boy gets worse. Again the day of delivery another vacation day & no mattress. Called again no call from them and was told it wasn't in the computer. Now a month later and another vacation day they again called this time two hours after delivery time that it was damaged. Now the delivery is set up for 7 weeks after purchase. Let's see if I get it on the 23rd of July . So far 3 wasted vacation days and only a $25 credit. Anyone looking for mattress go the Raymore & Flanagan, Sears, anywhere but here. Fingers crossed we'll finally get it in the 7 weeks we are waiting. Paid more for the air mattress than the credit we got. read more

We placed a large furniture order with Ashley back in November and two months later we continue to call the store on a daily basis to follow up on issues with our order. We lost track of the number of hours we have spent calling and visiting the store in person to follow up on missing deliveries, faulty furniture items and missing hardware. The customer service experience has been appalling to say the least and no one seems to be accountable for the issues As of today, we were delivered a cocktail table that their own technician qualified as irreparable but the store would not take it back, bookcases delivered more than a month ago are missing the shelves and the hardware needed to be assembled and no one know where the parts are. We have been asked to escalate to Ashley corporate but they do not answer the phone as their lines appear to be so busy handling customers complaints We are extremely disappointed and cannot discourage you enough from buying anything there read more

Horrible experience. My husband and I ordered a frame for our master bedroom and two box springs from Ashley Home Store. They arrived about two hours late on the day of delivery and then broke a piece of the support beams when installing. No one told me. I actually discovered this when vacuuming under the bed. While we were on our honeymoon they called me 10 or more times and I finally picked up and they were shipping the new pieces out and sending someone to fix it to an old address that I have never used. They were unprofessional and when I asked for them to stop calling they called more and when I picked up they left me on hold and didn't find a solution. They cancelled my appointment because they couldn't remember my address and rescheduled my appointment and never confirmed. Not sure if they will show up to fix what they broke. We will never shop at Ashley furniture again. Horrible and unprofessional customer service. read more

I really wish there was a "0 star) rating for this store!!!! DO NOT RISK BUYING ANYTING AT THIS STORE IN SOUTH AUSTIN!! This is THE WORST FURNITURE STORE I have EVER purchased from!!!!! They make empty promises and have TERRIBLE customer service!! They will lie to you and tell you you can cancel your order at any time before it is delivered. When you try to reach the store to cancel (because the furniture will not fit in the room intended for), they will never pick up the phone. After 4 hours of speaking with customer care at their corporate office, you will be told that you need to contact the store for cancellations. It's an insane loop that you cannot get out of. When you go to the store in person, you will be told that they are charging you a 10% restocking fee. Even if the furniture is not even in stock and available to be delivered!! And, this is after being told by a salesperson that you can cancel your order at any time with no charge. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Ashley furniture in South Austin!!!! I would rather drive 3 hours to American Furniture Warehouse in Katy Texas to make my purchases. In fact after the six hours we have spent trying to cancel our order and get a refund, still to no avail, I think I would prefer to drive up to Lubbock to order my furniture rather than go to Ashley!!! Also, read all of the reviews on the Better Business Bureau website specifically regarding that location. Same story every time! read more

Horrendous Customer Service! I should have read these reviews before purchasing!!!! The guys that delivered just a portion of our furniture (the rest is on a two month back order!) came at almost 10pm after I took off from work and waited at home during my 3-6pm window. They arrived with black, greasy hands and touched my furniture with those hands. Left a huge black hand print on my love seat which "thankfully" arrived broken so they had to take it back anyway. The table and chairs are all stained from their black hands but when I call customer service they tell me I am stupid and that it is an old farmhouse finish. No matter how much I try to explain that the chairs have stains all they do is put me on hold for LITERALLY 1.5 hours until I cant be on the phone any longer and I am forced to hang up. Their strategy is that customer service is all over the phone, so you can't complain at the store, they just put you on hold for hours until you are fed up. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, TERRIBLE. I can't believe I spent thousands of dollars to then be treated like trash. If I knew this I would have never purchased from Ashley. However, having said that there were two very nice people inside the store, but if you decide to buy something there you will have to deal with their customer service, so I 100% recommend taking your business elsewhere - where they value how important these purchases are and how expensive they are. In the end these are decorating your home and no one wants to have dirty, defective furniture that they paid thousands for! read more

Their furniture is poor quality, overpriced, it smells weird like untreated wood, even when claimed that its solid wood, and their customer service wont honor the warranty you buy when it comes to servicing the defects. Never ever buying from them read more

I had a really good experience buying the leather couch for my living room. It looks great in this space. I am very satisfied with my purchase, and Mike was very helpful. I look forward to going back to purchase my bedroom furniture. I was hesitant to even go there after seeing the reviews, but my experience was great and I'm glad I went in anyway. I was really impressed with the warranty too. I don't usually buy the warranty, but with three dogs I'm sure I'll be glad I got it. read more

After buying my couches from Ashley in S. Austin I came to yelp and saw a bunch of bad reviews. I will admit, it caused a bit of anxiety because I was unsure of whether I would be getting what I paid for. My two couches were $1600. However, delivery was on time and my couches are in perfect condition. I bought a sleeper sofa (farouh sleeper), and slept on it the night before my movers arrived. I had no trouble with anything and it was pretty comfortable for a sofa sleeper. The sleeper mechanisms work well and the couches look beautiful in my living room. All of the padding in the cushions look great and I'm not seeing any issues whatsoever. Ah, I can relax now. They do contact you two days prior to delivery to confirm a window, and I NEEDED them to be on time so I called ahead using the number on my yellow receipt. The lady on the phone confirmed my delivery and let me know that they usually send out texts/emails/calls at 2pm 2 days prior to delivery. Maybe just make sure that you answer that notification, and you'll have no trouble. I did buy the warranty package (maybe it was called a cleaning package...not sure what it was called) and obviously I haven't had to use it yet. But I think all is well. If anything goes wrong, I'll update my review. The salesman at Ashley are a bit of pushers though. I came into the store after 2 months of looking at couches and always returning to the fact that I loved and wanted the Farouh 3 seater. My only uncertainty was whether I wanted the two seater or just an accent chair. My mind was pretty much made up, I just wanted to see the couches in the store. I didn't really like my salesman. He basically told me what I wanted to hear. I thought it was a bit tacky. But I already had my mind made up on what I had envisioned, and he was just the middleman. I don't know...maybe just be a bit more authentic. People will buy furniture they like...just trust. I left the store feeling like I got swindled, though I bought exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted and on sale. Seems weird. I just wanted to throw that out in hopes the manager reads this. I'm not taking off any stars though because I got what I wanted in the end:) read more

I'd give zero starts if it was an option. DO NOT WALK INTO THIS STORE. Go anywhere else. I bought a small sectional in Dec 2019, and by April 2020 the back cushions were tearing. I placed a service order and was told to call them once I recieved the parts. Following direction, I attempted to get in touch with someone multiple times but no luck. I either stayed on hold for hours or would simply get disconnected after holding for an hour. I figured it was due to COVID and waited a while. I started this process again in September 2020 when the back support of the sofa frame broke. Since then, I have struggled repetedly to get someone on the line. Finally a tech came out and fixed the frame only, which broke again that same night. As I continue to call, call center is rude, laughs at me, hangs up on me, enters incorrect information, schedules another service appointment that was a no show, an now they want to replace half my sectional because a store credit cant be issued since the sofa has been in my home for too long. This was my first Ashley Homestore experiance and I will NEVER use Ashley's again read more

Was very happy with Alex's customer service and our purchase at Ashley Homestore in South Austin!!

Not happy with purchase. Confirmed for morning delivery, received afternoon delivery with no call before hand. Truck backed over mail box. Thought we paid for the power reclining couch and received the manual recline. Store called said we must have misunderstood but both my wife and I understood that we were receiving powered recline. They offered to replace for 150.00 extra. Gave my the sales pitch again on what a good deal we got with the couch however, a quick search on line of the model number we could have gotten the same couch with quicker free delivery for $400 less. I feel ripped off. If you really must have something from Ashley HomeStore, I would suggest getting the model number and buying from amazon. read more

We purchased a leather sofa the end of 2020 from the South Austin store, and were given an 8-10 week delivery time. We paid cash for the sofa at the time of purchase. The salesperson was pleasant, and the sofa was delivered within the requested time frame without a problem. Our issue is with the sofa itself. We have now had it less than six months. Approximately two months after delivery, the wood supporting the leg rest broke on one side. My husband repaired and reinforced it himself. Now the finish has worn off on the couch where the back touches. There are two senior adults living in the house, no children or teenagers. Our previous Ashley sofa, which was purchased through another vendor, never had this issue. We will be contacting the South Austin store to see if this is covered under the limited warranty. So far I have been disappointed with this product, so I am curious to see what the response will be from Ashley when we contact them. Some of the reviews I have read have been horrendous. read more

I would suggest to anyone to hold the employee responsible for their given verbal word. I paid off my account and thought it was a nice gesture for Amanda to have suggested she could mail my receipt. I would have went to the store to pay off my account, however I took Amanda at her word. This was in August. I called back after giving it some time, and discussed with Amanda that she stated she would mail my receipt, and she blamed the postal service for nondelivery. I understand wholeheartedly that issues can exist with lost mail. The second time around I applied with the Post Office for Informed Delivery, just to monitor all mail activity, and unfortunately there never was any mail delivered from Amanda from Acceptance Now. I know that I could have driven to the store, however when Amanda offered this service, I didn't see the negative aspect of taking her up on her offer. In the future I will pay off all accounts in person and receive my receipt in person as well. I wanted to believe that Ashley Furniture had credible people working within their store. I also don't feel it's fair for people to blame the U S Postal service for their misgivings. Thank goodness for this new feature they offer. Amanda should always be honest with customers, that creates a strong foundation. read more
