I originally came into Ashley's to find a nice sectional couch. I found a nice leather one and had it delivered within 2 weeks. It was nice, but defiantly NOT worth the 3,000 that I paid for it. I came in and told them that the pieces unhook every time I sit down. And the end seat leans to the right when you sit into it. I mean, dang, it's only a week old! So I go in and see what they could do. They were every understanding of my situation, and let me "reselect" a different couch. So I did just that. However now I had a store credit because they couldn't just give me the balance back. So I picked a rug, a couple lamps, and a comforter set. I picked out a KING SIZE comforter set, brought it home, and GREAT! It was a queen. They sold me a queen comforter and they said it was a king. So then I brought this comforter back too. It was a queen people!! Too small. Doesn't fit my bed. So I pick out another one that is available right in front of me. But they want to send a new one to the store and make me pay $39 shipping. UM NO. so the salesman, mark, makes me a happy girl and let's me have the display one. So overall, it's been a big, hot mess. But Mark and William worked hard and made things right. Not sure if I'm going to buy anything there again though. We will see how this second couch holds up... read more

Stop replying to my post because I wrote such a bad review Ashley. After 4 trips out here including from Serta, my sleeptracker is finally working. And the resolution only shows how inept your first and second service people were. Turns out the processor was there the whole time and was plugged into a bad outlet within the bed that the Serta person was able to fix and finally get me up and running. I appreciate that Ashley sent out a couple of people to take apart and put back together the bed, but they were late and the Serta person had already just crawled under the bed himself to see that the processor was in fact there, but not on. Deanna has been extremely helpful throughout this whole process to get people out here the same day that Serta sent a rep. read more

I purchased a book shelf from Ashley's and when I opened the item all the metal on the stands where dented and chipped. I have been trying to get in contact with Ashley's for over a week now and have not received any reply and when you try to call customer service all you get is a voicemail to leave a message and then have them return your call within 72 hours. No email reply or call has come in and my product will not be set up until I get a new item that isn't full to dents and scratches. I paid over $350 for this bookshelf and expect it to be in decent condition. I could purchase something second hand that would be in better condition than this "New" item sent from Ashley Furniture Store. I would not recommend purchasing anything from this retailer since they have no care or want to try to resolve my issue. I will be calling their store that is in town and will be dropping it back off for them to refund or replace my item. I am 100 percent sure that the reason my item is so messed up is because the UPS delivery driver was upset that the item weighted so much and basically did all he could not to keep my product from getting messed up. He basically threw the item out of the truck and into the back of mine. Way to go UPS your drivers suck. read more

If you choose to buy at this store, located in South Park Meadows, I hope you don't have the displeasure of working with Acceptance Now. I was taken aback by the unpleasant experience of working with Gabbie. When emplyees are not confident with their work requirements, they should ask for help. They should also take messages and return phone calls. read more

Extremely difficult to work with!!!! I bought a couch from Ashley 5 years ago and I loved the customer service!!! I recently went back to Ashley to purchase some things for my new place and found some items I really liked. I set up delivery and paid for my items and left the store feeling confident about my purchase. I happened to look at the receipt and noticed I was charged over $100.00 for delivery, a fact that was not mentioned to me when I purchased my furniture. The last time I had the furniture delivered from Ashley, it was free. I also ended up finding another item I purchased from Ashley cheaper elsewhere, with free delivery, so I called to cancel my order. This is when it got difficult. .. so, you cant call the store directly, you have to call their corporate office and be transferred. Be aware that if you accidentally hit an incorrect number, you will get a rude person who will talk over you, be dismissive, and then tell you this is the corporate office not the store and you need to hit option three. Okay fine. Also, keep in mind, the store opens at 10 but, there will be no one to take your call until 10:30-10:45. Not a problem, I called back an hour later and finally spoke to someone at the store. When I asked to adjust my order, I was told I needed to speak with my sales representative. I informed them that I did not have that information with me and they told me they could look it up. Then they put some other sales rep on the phone with me and he asked who my sales rep was which I again replied... I didn't know. I told him I wanted to remove an item from my order. He seemed annoyed that he was having to adjust the order but he did it for me. I also told him to take off the delivery because over 100 dollars to deliver furniture down the street was absolutely ridiculous! He replied... would you want the delivery if it was less?! Okay, so if you can make basically the same delivery for less money then why was the delivery so expensive in the first place?! Bottom line, they lost a repeat customer. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Quality going downhill! First, let me say that I have 4 rooms full of Ashley furniture. A few years ago I bought a beautiful bedroom set. It's well made and I always get compliments on it. I am still very happy with it and I plan to keep it forever. HOWEVER, recently we redecorated and decided to go to Ashley again. This time with a different experience. I bought living room and dining furniture and my son's bunk beds and night stand. While my furniture looks nice, I am doubting the quality. I bought a nice looking chaise sofa. Shortly after it was delivered, we noticed problems with the springs. Everytime we sat down, it made noises. We called Ashley and they sent a repair guy. He came out and did his thing. Problem seemed to be solved. Now the other side is doing the same thing! With my dining room table, my son just happened to look under one of the chairs and we discovered some of the wood had split! We think it happened when the delivery guys put it together. Of course we never noticed until recently. Last but not least, the finish on my son's bunk beds is coming off. Keep in mind, my furniture was only bought a few months ago! Long story short, the furniture at Ashley looks really beautiful BUT make sure you check the quality! Ashley's prices are very low compared to places like Star - maybe there's a reason for that. I have been a loyal Ashley customer for many years, but next time I will go somewhere else. read more

So... I wish I caught the name of the sales guy who helped me. Wait--I did, but I bought it so long ago that I can't remember, but at least he was awesome. I woke up to a phone call at 0730 today canceling the delivery for my couch for the THIRD time. I'm thinking about going to the showroom and laying on what should be my couch and crying. It's either that, or deal with Patty from customer service and crying. WHAT in the literal expletive is going on with both this nonsense AND the wretched customer service? I don't even want to call back because (1) no one will ever answer and/or return my call if I leave a voicemail (2) be patronized like it's my fault y'all can't deliver a couch on time. read more

Customer service is clearly not a part of the Ashley Furniture business model and if you are looking for decency from a business do not buy any products from this one. Yes, they are relatively lower cost compared to other furniture stores, but that lower cost comes with a price of terrible customer service. So, if you don't mind being jerked around, being at the mercy of incompetence, not being properly communicated with and not being shown any trace of someone giving a crap enough to do something about problems that they have created for you, despite paying for these services, then go ahead, buy from them. If you don't like these things, run and just go to IKEA. It's a question of what is your priority, because it is clear their priorities do not lie with the customer. read more

Do not shop here unless you want to waste your money. They delivered a malfunctioning recliner and have yet to replace it with a suitable one. The last few times they schedule the delivery for last . Last time the deliver guy called after 6 PM requesting a reschedule because they ran out of time . The new delivery was scheduled for today; it is Now 5:50 pm....and. nothing .I called the operations manager at Ashley Southpark Meadows and she said she didn't have any control over how long it takes them to put furniture together and that if they couldn't get there today just reschedule again. I've had multiple terrible customer service experiences with Ashley HomeStore over the past few years, both in-store and online. From a leather sectional delivered damaged (we purchased the warranty and instead of someone coming out to repair it, they literally mailed us a sheet of leather) to a customer service representative literally not responding to correspondence about a bed that arrived damaged for over a week, to another customer service associate speaking to me in a condescending tone on the phone when I requested to not have to incur the expense of disposing of a bed that arrived TO ME DAMAGED. Every time we try to give them another chance, it is always a negative experience. Don't buy furniture from them! We won't again! I only gave 1 star because 0 stars was not an option! read more

It MADE me give 1 star..this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. NOT once but twice. ONLY at this store, how crazy is that? They were rude, condesending, and just tacky. We drove ALL the way north to Pflugerville to purchase the set we wanted, all the way from William Cannon and I-35 area. We will never go back and we will share our story with EVERYONE. There were different salesman and managers each time. So I have to chalk it to store mentality. They just don't care about the customer. In all my experience managers can make a difference, but not at this location, HE was the worst!! NEVER EVER AGAIN. On a good note, the Pflugerville store was absolutely wonderful. So we ended up with the exact set we we wanted after all! Thank you Ashley Furniture. read more

Let me start by saying, they do not even deserve 1 star! Our experience with this company has been complete hell. If you're considering buying anything from them, do yourself a favor, save yourself the headaches and BS and go anywhere else but here. We bought a sectional, when it arrived the color did not look like it did in the store, and did not look good in our living room. We informed them it had to go back within 24 hours of it being delivered. Wanted the beige version of the couch only to find out that color is no longer available. So we spend all day looking at all their crappy quality furniture figuring out what in the hell we are going to spend our $2K+ on that we paid for the couch that Ashley will not refund. In store credit is all they provide! Beware. Finally decided on a bed frame and Simmons matress. Spent way more on the matress than we ever would only to use up our store credit. First off was told the wrong cost by one sales person, which is one reason we decided to go for it. Even though it ended up costing us more. So we pay for it first, then the salesman brings out the fine print of "once a matress is delivered it can not be returned for any reason", paper for us to sign. We wait a week for the bed and matress to be delivered, and when it arrives the matress was hard as a rock!. We refused delivery, because of the poor quality matress, and their ridiculous return policies. Note delivery was after 9pm, and Ashley was not open when we called to see what we should do. Delivery guy says, ah keep it if you don't like it you can return it. Yeah right, he just didn't want to haul it back to the truck! Then proceeds to put a nice gouge in our front door as they take the matress back out. Thanks! That week we go back to the store (a 30+ minute drive) to tell them of our bad experience, and to hopefully try out and pick up a matress that actually felt like the one in the store. The manager THERESA MIRELES was a complete Bitch! And I do not use that term loosely. She would not listen to our complaint, and was not willing to work with us at all. When we asked to have the demo matress that was on the floor (even though we paid for a new one) she said NO! I said look, we sat on that matress, that's what you sold us, what you delivered us was shit. It was nothing like what was in the showroom. We want that matress, we paid for it. We are not taking anything else home with us unless we get to try out the actual item you are selling us. She then threatens to call security... ooh, because I'm raising my voice. Well if you would listen to what your customers are asking for/complaining about perhaps they would get so freakin pissed off! She then begins talking to my wife only, and mentioning me in the third person as if I'm not standing there. Hey THERESA, I am your customer, I'm the one who spent $2K+ at your store plus 2x $140 deliverey fees and all I have to show for it is a bed frame, 4 weeks of time wasted dealing with your company, a massive headache. She then proceeds to tell my wife that we should have accepted the matress, and called them in the morning and they would have sent out a technitian. Yeah, right... and be stuck with a $1500 matress that felt like a rock? God knows they wouldn't have taken it back. Meanwhile, their sales people tell you whatever you want to hear to make the sale. Oh this is a brand new matress, it has special foam and springs so it will always feel this way. Yet when you ask them why the one you got doesn't feel anything like what they showed you, they don't have any answers. They either don't know what they are selling or are flat out liars. All I can say is if you step foot in this or any Ashley store, ask them what their policies are first before looking at anything. Then when you do look at items realize it's cheap pleather, and laminated furniture. You want to know what real leather feels like?.. go next door to Bassett. You have 48 hours to get your money back when you buy something. Great! They will take a week to deliver it if it is anything of size or importance... so that is worthless. You will never know if you actually like something while being in their poorly lit show rooms, or until sitting on the couches for extended periods of time. They lock you in with the sale, and quite frankly don't give a rats ass if you are satisfied with what you got or not once it's out the door. Listen up whoever the hell owns these Austin chains. Your company is pathetic, you need to fire this manager immediately, figure out some reasonable return policies, and start listening to your customers. We are the ones paying your bills after all. I for one hope I never have an Ashley experience again! read more

Worst furniture seller I have ever seen. We just moved to the US 3 months back and purchased all our furniture here across different Retailers like Living Spaces, Rooms to Go, Star Furniture and Ashley as well. Amongst all of them had the WORST experience with Ashley (Pfugerville) from where we bought our bed and nightstands. It started with the sales rep Tim-he gave us wrong info on how the bed box will look like (he said it would not show but it does show). We went back again before the delivery to verify the info and he again confirmed on this. He also committed the delivery date as 5th Aug (we placed the order in July). When I didnt hear anything from them on the 5th of Aug I contacted them only to hear that the delivery is planned for the 10th and not the 5th which was completely against what Tim told us. We let it go since we are aware of the long logistics time etc. When the bed arrived on the 10th the box was visible again contrary to what Tim had told us. We let that go too. Finally we waited for the nightstand delivery which was to have happened end Aug. When I called end Aug I was told the delivery has been rescheduled to Sept 2022 !!1 Yes 1 year later. I told them thats not ok and wanted to cancel. They said someone will call in 48 hours to cancel. No one called-after that I called them 5 more times to confirm the cancellation-no one ever followed up for cancellation. The suddeenly I got a SMS after a week stating my delivery has been rescheduled for Sept 24, 2021. I was fed up by then and didnt want to take this. Kept calling them-they keep on long holds, they phone line keeps disconnecting (have had this experience with anyone else). As of date still chasing them for a cancellation :( read more

We went back to Ashley today for a coffee table to go with my mom's new furniture, that she loves by the way! But once again, Nick Cochrum, took us all over the store looking for that perfect coffee table to go with the couch and recliner we had gotten a few weeks ago. There were various pieces of furniture that we liked, but there were no prices on them. As we were walking around browsing, we passed numerous employees. None of them asked us if we needed any assistance. Then in 2 separate areas we had a employee ask people right next to us if they were finding everything ok.but again, no one acknowledging us. This store and salesperson deserve a negative rating . This was the most unprofessional experience purchasing furniture I have ever endured. They lied to me to get the sale .They did not follow up on what they promised. We went to Ashley's to purchase furniture for a new apartment . They were having a 25% off sale . We first chose a mattress and box springs . After we chose these items we were informed that the sales didn't cover the mattresses. We really needed the bed so we proceeded with the purchase. As a condition of the sale we told them repeatedly it had to be delivered the next day. We did not want the items unless they would arrive on Saturday. We then discussed the possibility of same day delivery which we were happy to agree to in order to have the mattress delivered promptly. We were also looking at purchasing a couch from them but it was not due in their warehouse until September 5 so we decided to wait on this item . The salesman checked with his manager and said they could do a same day (possibly) or next day delivery but we would have to be available from 2-8 pm on Saturday to accept the delivery. That evening while we were at dinner the salesperson called me on my cell phone and said the delivery was definitely confirmed for Saturday. I thanked him. We were so excited that they confirmed the next day delivery that I called him back on his cellphone. I told him that since they definitely would be delivering the bed the next days he promised when we purchased it, we would place the order for the couch that evening even though it was a long wait to even get into their warehouse. I confirmed my credit card over the phone and he put the order in for me. Not once did he mention their would be a 10% cancellation fee on the couch if we cancelled this order. The next day (Saturday ) we waited from 2pm to 8Pm on the delivery of the bed. We never left the apartment. We sat there undoing boxes and waiting for the phone call and the knock on the door . The salesman had not given me a number to contact the delivery people only his personal cellphone. At 8 Pm I texted the salesman to say they had not shown up ! There is no way they showed up during this time frame and actually knocked. Two of us were in the apartment silently waiting on this delivery ! The salesman had given the delivery people a wrong phone number but the salesman had 2 numbers for us. They had my cellphone which the salesman was using to text me that the delivery was confirmed ! NO CALL ! NO DELIVERY! I called the store to try and reschedule delivery. I was able to set the delivery for the following Saturday. They were suppose to call 30-45 minutes ahead of course they did not . We kept looking out the door and finally we saw them wandering around the apartment complex looking for the right door. My son got their attention they came to our door and literally through the box springs at him over a railing. I was astonished at their incompetence. They proceeded to our door and brought in the box springs and the mattress and doing so knocking over my son's computer which he managed to catch before it crashed to the ground. They did not have the bed rails which I had talked specifically with the salesperson about but of course he forgot to add them to the order. He did try to push an expensive mattress pad on us which we were smart enough to decline . That day I texted the salesman to cancel the couch order and stated in the text that the purchase of the couch was dependent on Ashley delivering the bed the next day as he promised and confirmed and I expected a refund. I did not hear back from him. I called the store to speak to the salesperson to cancel the couch order. He was not in. I called the main number and they said it could only be cancelled by the salesman that placed the order but they would leave him a message. I did not hear a word from anyone. On Sunday we went to the store and spoke with the salesman. He said he did not get the text (we had been texting numerous times the previous days) nor did he get a message about cancelling the order from the store. He said he could not do this and turned me over to a girl behind a desk . She proceeded to inform me that I could cancel but I would have a 10% cancellation fee . We discussed this and she basically said she was not able to do anything about it. It was their policy. She did not even want to credit my account for the balance of the charge. I told her I would speak to the credit card company about this charge. Not only did she charge me 10% on the price of the couch but the delivery fee and the tax . REALLY!!! The couch was NOT a special order just a stock item that was not even currently in their warehouse. I will never purchase anything from the Ashley store in Austin . They make false promises and have no customer service. I cannot express the extent of my disappointment with this whole situation. read more
