My husband and I have been buying our furniture from Ashley for nearly 20 years. However, our most recent experience with purchasing from the online store has me reconsidering where my next furniture purchase will be. We purchased a power recliner from the online store. It arrived and we unpacked and assembled it. No big deal. This was at the beginning of April. End of June the foot lift stopped working. The motor was working but the hydraulic was not moving. I called and reported this. After more than 30 minutes on the phone and the girl not being able to figure out what part it would take, she scheduled a technician to come out. I stated that I thought they should replace the chair, but they insisted that we had to go this route. The technician came a week later and could not have cared any less about what he was there to do. Less than 10 minutes later, he confirmed that it was in fact doing exactly what I had described (shocker) and said he would order the part. I asked how long it should take and he said 2-3 weeks. I asked him to confirm that he had ordered the part before he left and he said he had and told me to call for installation when the part came in. Fast forward 3.5 weeks later, and no part yet. I called the same number and was told he not only had not ordered the part, but had not made any notes in my file to indicate what part was needed. The gentleman that was helping me asked me to describe what was going on and immediately said it could only be one thing because there were only 2 parts for that area according to the troubleshooting guide and the other one was a power cord (hmmm, why couldn't the first person figure this out?). I asked how long the part would take to arrive and was told 3-4 days (????). Sure enough, the part showed up today. So, I called for installation. After being hung up on once, I finally got someone. I was on hold for about 15 minutes and was finally told that the person I needed to talk to was on the phone and would call me back. Nearly 5 hours later I got the call back and was told that the soonest a technician could come to install the part was 3 weeks out!!! I asked if they would add the time the recliner has not been working on to the end of the warranty period and was told that, since I bought the service plan, it wouldn't matter. Really? When you have a service plan you usually get pushed to the end of the last priority. By the time they come out to repair my BRAND NEW recliner, it will be 5 months old and willI have been out of service for 2 of those months. Ridiculous. BIG FAIL ASHLEY FURNITURE. You should have just replaced the recliner in the first place instead of putting out a customer because of your product's failure. read more

Adriana was extremely helpful throughout the sales process and showed us numerous couches based on our specifications. Robert helped me find the perfect furniture for my new studio apartment. He didn't try and sell me the most expensive items. He made it work with my budget, and I got a lot of things! I called about an issue with my couch on 11/24/2020. I was told that it was within the 1 year warranty and that we were able to get assistance. Ashley's Furniture decided to close my service request without telling me. I am now calling on 1/4/2021 and they tell me they are covering the issue, but cannot do anything because they are unable to contact the proper person, but that they would contact me the same day to follow up. They did not call back. I called back on 1/5/2021 to follow up and now they are telling me the warranty is not covered because I am currently calling outside of the 1 year. This company seems to just keep making empty promises about resolving the issue and calling me back, but they never do. read more

Everything I tried to buy was out of stock. Found the exact same couch for way cheaper. Total rip off, will never buy from them again

If i could give zero stars i would. Went in to buy a new sectional and found the one i liked. Told the sales person i would take it but i specifically told him i wanted a brand new couch and not the floor model.. he assured me that there was a new one that i could pick up from the wearhouse... 2 days go by and he gives us a call after i have agreed and paid for the couch in full... and tell us that we no longer need to go pick the couch in the wearhouse because they have it at the store.... he tell me that we are getting the nasty used floor model for the same price big mistake... i specifically had mentioned we were not wanting the floor model but hey for them its all about the sale and don't listen to what the customer says..... called back to speak to the manager and he cannot come to phone because he is busy "GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE". NOT!!!! I state that i would like my money back and they say that they dont keep money in store and i would have to wait 4 to 5 weeks to get my money back Will never do business with them again read more

Do NOT shop at Ashley Furniture. The help seemed well enough, seemed like I was getting a great deal, the delivery was a big pain, and there was some damage when it was delivered. Majority of the furniture is not worth what you would pay for it, most of the product quality is substandard. You can actually find a lot of it online elsewhere for less and in some cases even on amazon. That aside the reason they are getting one star is because the financing options are a con. I was completely lied to about how I was financing this furniture. When I talked to them after they basically didn't care because I had already signed. Most of them that I talked to couldn't even actually explain how the financing works other than their advertisement tag lines. Overall, DON'T SHOP HERE. read more

Terrible quality! My expensive kitchen table broke in less than 9 months. The leg cracked completely off after moving an inch. I contacted them and they blamed me for it and said there is nothing they can do! Please, if you are looking for good quality furniture, do not go here. read more

I am not sure how this company Is still in business. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had buying furniture. The store is nice with many options. It is obvious that their focus is on sales because everything goes sharply downhill from there. Items delivered severely damaged; waiting on hold for long periods of time to get customer support; they insist, during a covid pandemic, we have to go into store to resolve issues and get them to fix their mistakes; did not deliver items on time; canceled my delivery after I had already confirmed; 6 weeks later, I am still dealing with this NIGHTMARE and do not have the furniture I paid for and with no clear end in sight. Please, do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. Ridiculous! read more

I can not believe that my couch order keeps getting delayed. I ordered on the 20th of May, delivery was supposed to be June 19th, then it got moved with less than 24 hours notice, to July 1, then July 2nd, now sometime in August. I can't even get through on the customer service line after waiting for more than a hour and a half!! read more

Back in May I ordered a bed and dresser. Delivery was set up for May 16, May 16 came and went was contacted by no one, I called and they said back ordered till the May 26th. May 26th came and went contacted by no one .. after numerous phone calls and on hold at 20 min at a time I finally went to store. Greeted by manager he took us to his office apologizing several times. He told us it was going to be another 6 weeks before order would be here. We looked for something else in store but, couldn't find anything, told him we would just get a refund. Supposedly he processed a return told us it would be 5 to 10 business days. No refund, I called corporate office they said no refund was made and I would have to call store, which I had but, couldn't reach anyone again!! You would think corporate would help and could but, No. Finally got a hold of the people trying to deliver part of furniture to tell them it was a cancelled order and they said ok we will do it. No refund after 10 days, so today I tried twice to call store. Someone from Indiana called me and said they were calling because I had a open order saying I wanted to cancel order!! By now I'm in tears and I don't want furniture from anywhere!! She is supposedly canceling order and said you will receive refund in 10 to 14 days.. they have had my money for nearly 3 months, by now I'm thinking they should give me furniture after everything I've been through..I will call corporate Monday, we shall see if order is cancelled now. Ashley's furniture is beautiful, but I will not ever step back in that store. Rant over!! read more

I would not RECOMMEND anyone to purchase new furniture from this company there Is always something with delivery dates changing to not property handling furniture to wear delivered furniture has to be pushed back when requesting a refund they aren't prompt on the 7-10 business day process they want to give me store credit instead of refunding money back to my bank account EVERYTIME I talk to a customer service representative I'm on hold for long periods of time and all they can do is recreate a ticket number which push the refund process back more days I purchased my furniture in August most was delivered in end of October they broke my table and had to wait to reorder a new one I then requested a refund back on the table beginning of November I was suppose to receive a refund 7-10 days and it's December I've yet to receive I've called back to back just to have a new ticket number created to wait another 7-10 business days this process is so frustrating and very unprofessional I just want my money back. read more

I ordered a sectional over a month ago but less than two days before delivery, they call me and tell me they can only deliver half of it. The other will be delivered separately. Not only does this increase my risk of COVID germs because there are now TWO crews coming to my home on TWO separate days instead of one, but there were no apologies. Very poor customer service. Train your teams to get it right and to show politeness and manners. read more

Purchase a couch in June and was on back order and would be delivered in august wish was fine the was informed only the chase part of the couch was available which we took delivery of. Then in September the remaining portion was delivered however the brackets that hold one of the arms on were wrong delivery person said they would order parts they never did, call Ashley they show no record of the parts being ordered, they sent out some one to fix the couch who told us he would have to order parts, that was the first week of October, still do not have the parts called Ashley again they said they have been back ordered and would not be available until mid December, but would see if they could do anything, informed us they would send temporary clips, that was 9 days ago and still don't have the clips. Next week will mark 6 months that I purchase this couch and it has been 3 months since all of the pieces have been delivered and I still cannot attach the arm to the couch. Ashley just does not seem to care, no offer to compensate me and not offer to replace the couch with a new one. I email the president and his assistant and no response. They just don't care read more

I got a call from an Ashley's "customer experience rep" two days ago. I basically repeated everything I mentioned in my review and they offered no resolutions to the issues we experienced. What a huge waste of time. If you're going to solicit feedback from your customers have a concrete game plan as to how you're going to resolve the issues. Instead, I got a low-level marketing intern to vent to. When you spend as much as we did on furnishing our entire home, an appropriate response would've been a conversation with the district manager at a minimum. Thanks for further confirming my decision not to do business with you anymore. read more

Don't waste your time with Ashley. We spent nearly $16k (yes THOUSAND) on furniture in August. Still isn't here. We've had three delivery dates scheduled, took time off work, never showed up. Can't get a manager to return a call or respond to the 4 "cases" customer service has opened. Today I was told it could be January now. This is for furniture they had on their showroom floor. Nothing special ordered. Also, I'm October all of our stuff was in the warehouse just no delivery available. Today it's backordered. I was told sometimes the warehouse gives orders away out of order. "There is nothing we can do about the warehouse and manufacturer" was what I was told. So, since noone will make this right, noone will call me back, I'm taking to any social media outlet I can. Worse customer service Ive ever had. Let me state I knew it would be 4-6 weeks due to COVID. Not 6 months. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Went into the store and ordered a TV stand was told it would be delivered the following Wednesday was given a time window. After the time window and no delivery we called to see the status and that's when I was told it will not be delivered until January or February (this was August) after being on hold and on the line with customer service for 2 hours they refused to cancel we returned in person and attempted to cancel again. Today in November we were charged for the item and told it will be delivered soon. Attempt to cancel again has resulted in another 2 hours on hold canceling our card and filing a fraud claim. Never shop here don't support this horrible company they do nothing for their customers and try to screw you out of every penny you have. read more

They have the worst customer service, attention, respect, delivery availability on the planet. Never have I worked with any company that has a worse lack of respect for the customer. After spending almost $10,000 and 2 months have went by we still don't have our furniture. We've been sleeping on the floor, we've been promised delivery dates, you can't get ahold of anybody, the store doesn't answer their phone, I will never purchase from this company again and I will continue to educate people on their lack of response to their customers. This Ashley home store gave me The worst customer service I've ever experienced. They lied to me numerous times regarding my Purchase, shipping, and returns. I ended up paying over $500 in delivery charges from austin to Dallas (which I was told initially it would only be $250), and they won't even take back my ottoman that is too big for my living room. They are telling me to just put it in my small Malibu and drive it myself all the way from Dallas to new braunfels. NONE of this was explained to me up front. read more

This is a very poorly run and managed company. The people at the branch attempt to be helpful but it seems as though the overall company intentionally lies to customers and is unwilling and/or incapable of helping customers. We ordered a bedroom set online and it was supposed to be delivered September 16th. I sat home waiting for the delivery and no one ever came, or called...they just didn't show up. They said the bed was out of stock and would be back in about 6 weeks. After 6 weeks of sleeping with our mattress on the floor and two more cancellations, the delivery people show up!! Miracle! Not quite...they bring the bed and put it together, but they are missing a part that makes it impossible to put our mattress on. We try to call the store, no one answers. I'm currently sitting on the bed in the store (instead of at my home) waiting to be helped. So far, only lots of excuses and no solutions. Then I look up and see this sign....and it all makes sense!! read more

Ashley Store - Furniture Stores Near Me - Austin, Texas

I should have read the reviews before ordering anything from this store, but I loved the design of the bed frame. Go find another location that sells Ashley Furniture. This store is a joke. First, I couldn't find anyone to help me. I was over by the bed for a long time. Walked over to the couches and back. Finally, I saw a sales person at a computer across the store. I cornered him in order to get service. I still don't know his name because he never introduced himself. Second, after explaining that the delivery would cost extra after making it sound like it was included I opted to pick up the order and build the unit myself. No big deal right? After signing the papers, he informed me that the pick up was in NEW BRAUNFELS! That would've been helpful to know before hand right? Third, I had to correct two employees (sales person and check out person) on the price of the bed. They were running a special that weekend. Shouldn't they know what that is? Lastly, I was told I could pick up my bed yesterday. I called the warehouse and had to leave a voicemail. I also asked for dimensions to know which car to bring hatchback or truck. I finally receive a phone call the next day and was on hold for 10 min while they tried to find the information I needed. They were unable to provide the dimensions because the system was down. If they had listened to the voicemail they would've had the information I requested before they called back. Talk about poor customer service all around. This will be the last purchase I make from this store. read more

Don't bother with Ashley furniture! We spent about $10,000 on furniture for our new house being built. The main part of the order is being held until our house is complete. We only wanted 1 piece delivered to our apartment we are temporarily staying in. We scheduled the daybed and trundle to be delivered. The daybed was delivered and assembled, but it was missing 4 brackets to attach the platform to the frame to put the main mattress on. I have gotten nothing but run around about getting the brackets delivered. It is now 3 days past the original delivery. The delivery people would walk in with 4 brackets and be back out in about 10 minutes. I am now headed down the store to escalate to the store manager and if he doesn't resolve it today, they can pick the daybed back up and cancel the entire order. This order was paid for in cash and I want my money back. read more

My husband and I had no issues with this store. Our sales guy didn't try to pressure sale is on anything. I loved the selections they had in the store. This location, at South Park Meadows - in Austin, TX, is by far a location I would NEVER refer ANYONE to. I made a purchase from them, called them back within 48 hours of that purchase to cancel a part of the order, and it has been all down hill from there. The Sales Associate that assisted us was more concerned about the cut in his commission than taking care of the Customer. He blatantly lied to me and said that the order could not be cancelled. However, when the call from the delivery group came for confirmation of delivery, I was told that the Sales Associate was incorrect and that they would be happy to cancel the portion of the order that I no longer needed. AFTER it was cancelled, the Sales Associate called me back and told me that the reason he didn't want us to cancel the order is because the $499.00 would incur "crazy interest" if it wasn't paid off in the first 30 days due to the purchase being so small. I have since received a bill that shows I owe(d) them over $1,000.00 for this purchase. I have worked with the dispute team, and have contacted Ashley Furniture, as it appears that I was billed for a warranty on the sectional that I cancelled, as well as for the desk. Ashley Furniture did respond to the dispute, but falsified documentation (the receipt of purchase). They added a chair to my order, which was never purchased, and also stated that the warranty on the sectional is still my responsibility. I have redisputed this transaction, and have yet to hear back from Ashley Funiture. Overall, this has been the very worst experience I have ever had with ANY company that should pride itself in Customer Service and upholding their legal obligations. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Delivery Issues Placed non-special order (sofa, wedge and love seat) on May 30, paid $4,404.61 which includes $150 for delivery. Initially told that some part will get deliver in June and remaining July. Didn't receive the delivery so called them then they told it had been pushed out due to COVID-19 situation. We were okay as we understand this is the difficult times and we should support each other. But we didn't know this going to become a nightmare. So, it was pushed to Aug - Didn't receive the order in Aug as well. Called again, this time they told it going to delivered in Sep-23. Worse than walking onto a car dealership. From the second we walked in the door on a Bust Saturday we were hounded. At least we were able to walk around in privacy at rooms to go. If I could give this zero stars I would. We purchased a "leather" sectional from Ashley Furniture and it has completely peeled and is embarrassing to have in our home. I went in to the South Park Meadows store where we purchased the sectional and we were told that Ashley Furniture is giving store credit for these couches because there had been a recall on the material. We contacted the corporate office and submitted a claim. We originally submitted the claim on 5/1/17 and it is now 8/12/17. We were told there would be a 6-8 week turn around time, but we are way past this time frame. I have been asked to send in several pictures of the couch and ottoman including the barcodes and tags. I have done this each time. They are now only giving us credit for $390 when we originally paid $1200. We were told we would not be given credit for the ottoman because there is no tag... it did not come with a tag!! The sectional and ottoman were bought as a set! They don't have record of this? We also bought the warranty plan and this did not cover it. This has been beyond frustrating and I am writing this review as a warning to the customers. read more
