I found a couch we loved and Got All the details to purchase I asked how long it would take to get everything she said "two to three weeks max" my friend even confirmed she heard this as well. I told her ok I was going to think about it and Come back. I came back the next day to purchase. We get all the paperwork going and I request to finance. She ran My credit Through multiple credit sources and comes back to tell me Ive been approved through two separate places one for $2,200 and one for $3,700. The couch was $3,000 so I said I wouldnt need the $2,200 one. She said "Ok no worries We wont use that one" we finalize everything And I ask again "just to be sure when will everything be ready?" She replied "Two to three weeks but they will send a text with confirmation in a few days" ok Great I left. A few days went by no text/call or email about anything so I made a call to check. They told me "your order wont be ready until the Middle of July." Three fucking months away! THREE MONTHS AWAY! Why the hell would I purchase a couch to be ready in 3 months!? I dont have anything in my living room!? Why the hell would anyone purchase a couch to be ready in 3 months!? I call the store to talk to a manager. The person answering said a manger is busy can I take your number theyll call you back. No problem I leave my name and number. Never receive a call. Call again and same thing. The next day I open the mail and I have not one but two new credit cards in the mail totaling $6,000 in ashley credit! She never told me getting two cards open in my name ! Nor would I have approved it or allowed it. I called Ashley a 3rd time! Same thing "the managers busy can they give you a call back?" I replied "this is the third time Ive called to speak to a manager and not once has one called me back! " I know my name and number pulls up there because Theyve read it to me without me telling them before. After paying cash for my order and ordering enough furniture to furnish a 5 bedroom house I expect better service! i have received so many delivery dates it's not even funny. I purchased a $3,400 sectional from Ashley Furniture in August 2020, by January 2021, the seat that was used the most was already sinking significantly. I submitted a claim to have that evaluated and hopefully replaced. First, their customer service response time is just horrific. It takes 1-2h on hold to be connected to a representative and more often than not the calls drops after you are connected or placed on hold by the representative. They finally sent a technician, after at least half a dozen of calls. The "technician" did as much as looked at the sofa, for good 30 seconds and determined "it meets the manufacturer's standard" and "nothing is broken". Funny, how no one at the company can explain what that standard is. I asked at least 5 people and nobody knows where that information is but they all keep referring to "the manufacturer's standard" as the golden rule. So I am stuck with a $3400 item that cannot be repaired or replaced, because there is nothing wrong with it, apparently, but when I sit on it, it sinks so much that's its impossible to get up. Mind you, I'm 150lbs, not a big person. I would expect that if I spent $800-1000 for it, but not at that price point. Awful experience. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

Looking for a teenager bed for our son. We found one on Ashely Home Store online. Just the bed was a pretty penny. So to be amazed after receiving the product. We found damages to our purchase. Called Customer Service twice. No help and all plus did not honor there policy rules that were printed in there policy agreement. Tried several times to contact them through email and store questions area, but we were totally ignored, disrespected, no acknowledgment of any type at all, and we will never purchase from them again. I purchased a couch at the end of February, because the salesman, Albert, said it would be no later than a five week delivery window (Estimated April 9th); that was the date documentated when we purchased the couch. Worst online return policy. I bought a desk chair for my husband that was not comfortable. Ashley doesn't pay for return shipping unless the item is broken or damaged. It cost $200 to send back a chair that I purchased for $400. They would not offer to send a shipping label and deduct their discounted shipping rate from the $400 reimbursement. We needed a new couch and decided upon a sectional couch at Ashley Furniture. We visited the store twice before making a final selection on 8/7/19. We paid $500 cash and put the remaining balance on our debit card. The saleswoman, Ana, was very patient as we made our selection. After we paid and were scheduling delivery we were told it would be ONE MONTH before our delivery on 9/7/19. We almost cancelled the order right then and there, we should have. We truly truly should have. One month without a couch is forever! We were patiently counting the days until our delivery date of 9/7/19. On 9/5/19 we received a call to schedule a second delivery for a missing section of the sectional! What? The entire sectional was not available for delivery. We were so disappointed. So on the evening of 9/5/19 we went back to the store to discuss our purchase. We spoke with Ana Perez, a manager and explained that we've already waited a month and now our entire couch will not be delivered. She had another manager come to the front to speak with us, David Delafuente. We explained to him that we were not receiving our couch and really needed something asap for our family of 6. We asked if another item was available for immediate delivery. He stated, possibly, but it would not be on 9/7/19 our original delivery date. He said the trucks were already full for delivery of items purchased over the Labor Day weekend. Wait! What?! So people that purchased 3 to 4 days previously were getting their furniture on 9/7/19 but our purchase made a month ago could not be fulfilled. Completely upset and frustrated we asked for our money back. Mr. Delafunte said we could get our money back, but it would take 4 to 6 WEEKS to return it to us AND we would have to pay a 10% fee for cancelling the order. An order that Ashley Furniture could not fulfill, no fault of our own. To say it mildly, we were beyond upset and frustrated. Bottomline...We have now waited over a month, for a couch that was paid in full, Ashley wants us to wait 4 to 6 more weeks for a partial refund, therefore postponing another purchase elsewhere...this is completely unreasonable....we are basically stuck with this company. We felt backed into a corner with no reasonable resolution. We finally asked them to go ahead and deliver the first part of the couch on 9/7/19 and they said the second part of the sectional would be delivered on 9/16/19. We asked if this was a guarantee...they said no. The management staff we spoke with were completely unhelpful and they couldn't care less about us. Their attitude towards the situation was horrible, as he grinned he was not responsible for it. They said there was nothing they could do. But after several minutes back and forth, they took off the delivery charge. The delivery charge for a couch we have no idea when and if is coming...but we still have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for that refund too! On 9/6/19, we received a call from Mark with the Warehouse Delivery Dept. Mark is the only person so far sympathetic to our situation. He explained when our couch (first part) would arrive, when the drivers would be here and what to expect during the process. He also mentioned this occurs with sectionals and he is not sure exactly why...but it happens. Thank you Mark for being the only honest person at Ashley! The drivers called and arrived within our scheduled delivery window and unloaded the couch. Unfortunately, the "NEW" couch was unwrapped, dirty and torn underneath in several places. Really, if we wanted a used couch we could have gone that route, but we wanted a NEW couch. When a new item is purchased you expect a certain quality...this was no where near that...now we question if we are receiving used furniture. We rejected the torn couch and receive a call from Customer service before the delivery guys could even get it back on the truck. They said someone would be in touch soon. So far, we have not heard from anyone at Ashley, we are out of our money, and we don't have a couch. Customer service is not a priority with this company. I would give my experience with Ashley's a ZERO. I ordered my furniture in January with a $500 deposit, so this is a sizable order. I waited till March 13th for my delivery for over 9 hours, I had to contact the store and was given the run around and excuses. I contacted the store again the following day since I had to reschedule with the warehouse, again I waited from 9am -4pm on Saturday for another NO SHOW. Again I called the store and got nothing but excuses. I visited the store on Sunday to cancel my order but was persuaded to wait till Jim could contact his DM and get this resolved. I waited till Tuesday at 6pm and returned to the store for a refund of my deposit & to cancel my order. I was greeted by my salesman saying "we've been expecting you" ... well I've been expecting my furniture. I really loved the pieces I picked out, but I would like them in my home!!!! If you need your furniture in the same year you paid for it - DON'T but it from Ashley Furniture. Best prices, I give them that, but TERRIBLE service and commitment. I went to the store and bought a sofa, chair and a half, and ottoman on OCTOBER 13, 2020. I was told I would receive delivery NOVEMBER 25, 2020 and expected it for Thanksgiving. After confirming the delivery a week before, they then told me delivery would be delayed until December 10, 2020. On December 7th they sent a TXT confirming delivery on the 10th (by 6pm) and said I could not change the delivery date, it was confirmed. On December 8th I was called and told it would not be delivered. They said the Sofa was in the warehouse, the ottoman would be in the warehouse on December 13th but the Chair and a half would not be in the warehouse until January 1st. I made several calls to customer service who confirmed this and since I had gotten rid of my furniture in preparation for the delivery, needed the sofa delivered and I would pick up the ottoman myself and could wait for the chair and a half. They said they would "put in a ticket" as that sounded reasonable. I called on the 14th when they would deliver the sofa and if I could pick up the ottoman and THAT customer support person told me NONE of the items were available in the warehouse. That person told me no such ticket was in the system and that the sofa was NOT in the warehouse and could not be delivered until January 7th!!! I asked about who lied and they made excuses about "the automated system" but I said I spoke to a PERSON. So, as a person who teaches companies about customer service, I said so you are taking no responsibility for this? Essentially they said no and they would let me know when delivery would be in January. I am sitting in my living room on lawn chairs over Christmas. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I was lied to and one customer service person admitted I was "told something that was not true". I may (or may not) get the furniture in January - 86 DAYS AFTER I ORDERED IT - IF IT IS DELIVERED ON JANUARY 7th - of which I have no confidence or... 43 days (and 2 holidays) after it was supposed to be delivered. Don't waster your time. I ordered a dresser in July that was pushed back to October for delivery so I cancelled. Ordered a mattress the first week of August and was supposed to be delivered Aug 28th. Never showed up. Was then told I'd have it September 5th. Again, never showed up. Called again (good luck getting through) and was told that now it would be September 22nd. 3 months of stress, lost 3 days work, had to pay $250 delivery, and still did not get undamaged furniture. 1. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. 2. If you do, do not pay cash, use a credit card so you have recourse. 3. You had better report damage with in 24 hours of delivery or you are screwed. 4. Contact the Better Business Bureau. Purchased a $3000 leather sectional. It arrived damaged. I reported damage, complete with photos. Damage included gouges, scratches, and cuts. No piece of this sectional was without damage. Was promised replacement. Long story short, it took 3 months to get a conclusion. 3 different times I had to take off work to take delivery of 3 different sofas. Each was more damaged than the last, one even had the entire back of the recliner broken in two. Then Ashley wanted to go through repairs, but I was so over this by then. It was not until I contacted the Better Business Bureau that they offered a total refund of the sofa, BUT I would have to pay $250 delivery charges. I agreed just to get this nightmare over with. This is for the store on Capital blvd Raleigh NC. I purchased furniture and THEY threw in a supposedly FREE pillow that was worth over 200.00 which is ridiculous in my opinion because I would never pay that ridiculous amount for a pillow. After I left that store I went to Rooms to Go furniture store and was in shock at the price differences. I picked out a entire living room set plus pull out be, the large carpet, end tables, lamps, two side chairs, coffee table all for less than half of what I was going to have to finance through ASHLEY so i immediately cancelled my order from ASHLEY and immediately drove to the store to return the hard, heavy, useless, pillow. They would not take it back, told me I had to keep it and pay for it and they had the nerve to add a late fee to the free pillow. I disputed it and I lost because they claim some policy that is not existing on any paperwork I signed. Very shady way to make someone pay for something they tried to return and the customer service was unprofessional, no knowledge of furniture, too much playing and goofing around, and couldn't answer simple questions. Furniture is priced too high, quality is no different or better than Rooms to go, they don't have a large selection and the furniture is not a modern and vibrant as Rooms to go. Purchased a leather reclining sectional a little over 2 years ago. I normally purchase furniture from Rooms to Go since most of our furniture is from there and has lasted about 15 years. However, I decided to try Ashley thinking that since it is a known company across the USA, it would be of good quality. I was wrong and very disappointed. First issue about 9 months after purchasing one recliner had issues. I was able to get it repaired under warranty and some additional stuffing added as the chair was also sinking in a bit. Second issue occurred around 18 months of owning. Might I add, I do not have kids that jump on furniture or wrestle. No heavy use or habits that could cause chairs to break outside of normal use. 1. I found screws on the floor not realizing that it was from sections of the sectional. 2. One of the recliners has a bent frame and is now propped up against the wall awaiting for big bulk trash day. 3. the corner piece lost a screw and is barely hanging on. I tried calling to get it repaired, but that was quite a fiasco. It took months to reach someone (left several messages with no return call). When I finally reached someone, it was around the time stores started reopening here in Texas, and they said i needed to go into a location to pay $60 deposit to have someone come and see if it is repairable and the company charged $60 an hour. I have avoided going into stores and didn't understand why there wasn't an option to pay over the phone. There was so much more to the conversation that didn't make sense, but it is too much to type. Ultimately I decided to take a loss as I don't want to pay for repairs only to be in the same situation a few months down the line based on poor quality and structure. Delivery date not fulfilled for the furnitures and we had to cancel in the end but they tried to charge a cancellation fee for their failure. Very bad customer servce. It was pain to replace the mattresses and we had to goe three times to store and call three times the customer service just for a simple replace request. They direct to each other. The replaced mattress came in an open bag and I am not sure if it is new or not.. When I was showing the first delivery staff the room, the other delivery staff entered my home from the closed door without permission and without a mask and a shoebag that I would give if he had ringed the bell. I have no plans to purchase anything from them for the rest of my life unless I have no other choice and I really have to. I also purchased some other furtnitures from RoomsToGo and the overall experience was great. I had a small issue that let me see how great their customer service was. Worst customer service ever! Ordered a couch and the info said would be delivered in 1 to 2 weeks, as soon as it accepted online payment, it went to 4 to 5 weeks. I called customer care who told me just a "glitch" and to call the warehouse. The warehouse said they had not even received our order yet (4 days after order) and be prepared to wait for 6 weeks for delivery. I called customer care again and was assured a call back with explanation. They did not call back I called customer care yet again (3rd time) and the not nice woman told me the invoice said 5 weeks so it would be at least 5 weeks. I've purchased from Ashley Homestore a few times now. My experiences have been mixed. First, let me say up front that I've never experienced poor customer service while shopping at their locations. The sales associates on the floor are always very pleasant to work with and I have nothing but good things to say about the vibe while shopping on location. My review is simply to warn you about the product itself. All total, I have purchased three couches from Ashley. The first couch included an end-cap long seat that was used quite frequently, but after only six months of use the back support foam became warped and lumpy. It made the entire couch an eye sore and became difficult to sit in. The second purchase included a metal frame for electric reclining, but came warped and would make a popping noise when we would extend it out. Eventually we just stopped using the recliner part. You would think by now I would just have bought a couch elsewhere, but again - I enjoyed my experience shopping at their stores and assumed I'd learned my lessons: avoid the long seats, avoid electric reclining. Just buy a normal, every day couch and I'd be fine. My third and final purchase was for the Fielding Sofa in Chocolate color. The floor model seemed very plush and comfortable to sit on. I purchased this "high end" couch hoping to get years of use out of it. I am now not even a full year in to owning it, and I hate it. The couch is a two-cushion couch but is three-seats wide. This inevitably causes the center of the couch to sink in. A little bit of a sink in would not be an issue, but when I say sink in - I mean SINK IN. If you are not sitting on the very edges of this couch, you will drift straight to the center sinkhole and be inside of the cushions in minutes. It's awful. The Chair-and-a-Half with this unit is fine, but the full sized couch is just unbelievably poor in design. I do not know how the floor model got around this, they must have rigged it in such a way as to avoid this issue. But as it is, I've purchased a couch I'd planned on owning for 3-5 years and I'm at the point where I'd just as soon light this on fire and use a couch from the back dumpster. This is not the $2000 investment I'd hoped for. So, TLDR is simply buyer beware. After three tries, I give up. It seems no matter which couch I try from Ashley, I'm left disappointed. But as said, their sales associates were always nice to deal with, so there's that. read more

Purchased what I thought was leather furniture and billed as double stitched leather furniture. Had this furniture less than 12 months and the leather started to peel-just from sitting on it. Had the extra warranty- they did not want to pay for normal wear and tear. They ended up sending me 2 cushions as replacement and I got the rest of my warranty moeny back minus the 2 cushions - so I paid for it. Leather does not peel. The furniture was not as comfortable as the store model or as nice and the the furniture constantly squeaks and groans. I am sorry that I wasted my hard earned money on this over priced junk. read more

I shopped at the Southpark Meadows Location back in 2013 and it was a great experience. Went this Sunday in summer of 2022 and the assistance was lacking and Their system froze during transaction and I was told I would get a receipt emailed to me and I could leave. I then spent two additional days calling the local number to the Austin store and leaving voicemails and never received a phone call and I had to go back to the store with my three kids to track down the issue with my order and the manager that never introduced himself as such was the most insincere and rude person that could have service and did not seem bothered that I was not happy that no one from his store reached out to me even though I mentioned it and that no one picks up the phone at the store. He also mentioned I would have to return to re-purchase since it was clear that the store did not receive funds, again lacking customer service here. I reluctantly re-purchased the same item and did some shopping and returned in less than an hour and I canceled my order and I gave him my feedback and I questioned if he was the store manager as well and told him that his customer service was awful at the store and I would not ever come back and do shopping here. Spend your money somewhere else or shop online. I didn't realize when Covid died so did customer service and the retail sector. Hope this helps others to not waste your time at the Southpark Meadows location in Austin Texas. read more

Worst customer service .. we've been waiting for 9 weeks on them to exchange 2 night stands. Because they weren't level and had scratches on them. They brought one to our house instead of two. It was damaged as well. They agreed to bring 2 the next time in order to exchange them. They just showed up today with one again these people are ridiculous. On top of that the stores phone number will not work. I WILL NEVER do BUSINESS with THESE PEOPLE AGAIN. The rest of y'all do what you want. Don't say I didn't warn you. read more
