We purchased a living room set and bedroom set from this Ashley's. The initial order and experience was good but within the first year of owner ship our coffee table began warping on top. The veneer in the center was the issue so we called customer service. Due to the Holiday's since they weren't able to make it out the 1 year warranty was past. Not to mention the email we sent was "never" received. I sent it 15 times when requested again to the EXACT email address and they magically got it. Other issues were one of our dresser draws wasn't screwed into the drawer slide and an issue with some cushions. I wouldn't recommend buying furniture from here, the price isn't worth value you are getting. read more

Okay, I have deleted my previous review in order to make a short and to the point review. The reason why their furniture has lower prices than everyone else is simply because: THEY DO NOT HAVE IT IN STOCK. I REPEAT, THEY DO NOT HAVE IT IN STOCK. So any projected delivery date they tell you on contract day (make sure it's in writing) add another 4-6 weeks. Because the delivery date is set to change at any given notice between the day you purchased /or financed the furniture to the day it arrives. They will use a bate and switch tactic that they only have "x" many in their inventory for "x" delivery date. Don't let that fool you. They don't have any stock. There is a middle man- their manufacturer. They are completely dependent on their manufacturer to actually make the furniture pieces. Thankfully I wrote down and kept everything, EVERYTHING. And was able to have to prices reduced due to the fact that it took nearly 2 months to receive my furniture. I suggest definitely keep track of every piece of paper you receive from Ashley's. I love my couches, LOVE THEM. They are stunning and a great quality. They were absolutely worth the wait and frustration but they would have saved themselves some money and headaches by just being up front with me from the beginning about delivery dates. read more

Really, REALLY wish we had read these reviews before purchasing from Ashley. This is definitely a caveat emptor review. The one reviewer about the 'hoverers' is correct. It's not a bad thing, necessarily, but kind of annoying at the same time. But let's get on to ... DELIVERY. Have fun with this one, folks. Seriously. We were promised a 3-hour window of 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. It is now 7:15 pm. After NUMEROUS phone calls, along with COPIOUS excuses from virtually EVERY Ashley rep,, we have made no progress. If they botch up our door frames or new furniture -- yep, you got it, I'll be back here and bitching. Because of the inconvenience, they've offered to refund the delivery fee. I just can't wait to go through THAT rigamarole of red-tape. I can just savor and imagine that magical check just showing up .... but I digress. I have this funny feeling that b/c we didn't 'buy in' to their guarantee 'montage' package, we got screwed. Trust me when I say they bugged us about that FOREVER. We have already decided: NEVER AGAIN, ASHLEY FURNITURE. Stay tuned ... read more

So, I read reviews of this place WHILE buying a new bed frame and I have to say I was mortified and frightened and kept thinking "oh god I hope this isn't a mistake." We had excellent service from start to finish and our new bed frame was delivered on time, in perfect condition. In fact, they even have a tracking website so you can track your delivery in real time. Plus they have a price match guarantee, and we met with three different people in the store throughout our visit and they were all delightful. So, don't let the negative reviews get you down. There was a lot of good stuff here and I have to say we have zero regrets. read more

I made a furniture purchase with Ashley on 12/20/21 and was told the items were in stock and could be delivered on 12/27/21 at the earliest; today, I found out it would take two to six weeks; I requested a cancellation of my order today and was told there is a ten percent processing fee, approximately $170.00 dollars; I'm disputing the processing fee because it was not my fault the items are not in stock; the sales person promised the delivery date on 12/27/21; The sales person pulled a bait and switch on me and no telling who else is subjected to this type of treatment and is subjected to this unhonest treatment by someone claiming to being a fair and honest salesperson; I placed my trust in this sales person feeling he would lookout for my best interest but instead he took advantage of me; is this the type of employees Ashley hires, so sad? I will never do business with this organization again. read more

My husband and I went in here looking to purchase a living room set. We were all set to spend some money. However when we walked in we had this sales man that wouldn't leave us alone, asking us multiple questions. When my husband said that we were just looking and we would come find him is we had any questions he proceeded to awkwardly follow us around the gigantic store. It creeped me out so much I dragged my husband out of the store and we went to La-z-boy nearby and bought our set that night. I was so uncomfortable I will never go back. read more

I ordered a lot of furniture from Ashleys, here is what has gone wrong: 1. They sent me a message saying the delivery was from 6-9 pm, the driver called me at 3 and said he would be there in 20 mins (because of course, I don't have a job and am sitting around waiting right?) 2. 3 pieces of what has been delivered already need repair 3. I called "customer care" 3 days in a row, sitting on hold for 15 minutes each time and have yet to get through. I think I'm going to have my whole order cancelled. I called the Sales line, and of course I could leave a message there so I did and am awaiting a call back from them. read more

We fell in love with an accent table at the Ashley's Home store. We ordered online, knowing that the item would need assembly. It seemed like a reasonable alternative to the expensive $129 delivery fee that you have to pay if you buy in-store. What we didn't know was that the wood tone of the product we received would be MUCH darker than the example in the store. Then assembly was a disaster because several of the wood pieces were warped and nearly impossible to line up properly. The instructions were ambiguous (and in some instances, just plain wrong). We won't purchase from Ashley's again, because we certainly won't be doing the order-online-get-it-delivered-to-your-house-then-try-to-put-it-together thing ever again. read more

I ordered a bed online on Thanksgiving weekend delivery date was set for December 12th rearranged my entire schedule for this delivery only to be called the morning of the delivery that they don't have any in stock! After calling around 2 find out that there is nothing that they can do with complete attitude from all Representatives including from corporate I still don't have my bed and I can't have it until after the New Year. Stay Away from them. I wish they have the non-start option. That's how bad the experience is with Ashley. There customer service is a nightmare. We placed our order on 9/19/21. They told us part of the order will be deliver on October and the rest on November. October came and past and not a single email from the furniture or anyone. I called and they have a automated system and it says 10-14 more weeks to schedule a delivery. I called to cancel my order, no body can help you. They have people taking the phone calls with barely internet signal so they can not hear or you can not hear them, It's a nightmare. After 7 phone calls I finally cancelled my order. Then my sales person called. He called just because I cancelled. That's why they call. I was convince that I'll have my furniture in another week or so. For sure before thanksgiving. After waiting for days i finally got a phone call for delivery. Guess what? only one item in my entire order was getting deliver, now I'm waiting for the rest of my furniture and they say it will be next year. Now, the sales guy doesn't answer any text or phone calls because now I have one item at least one item out of the 7 that I ordered so he got his commission. I understand there's a lot of issues with shippings. Ashley issues: -lying to the customer. This is the worst, when you are honest with your client we can make plans, but when you are telling me every week that you're going to deliver we're stucked. -customer services sucks. I believe people works from home with horrible phone signal. -The sales person is just that the sales person. He doesn't care about you at all. He just want to sell. read more

This is kind of a tepid A-OK recommendation really. We do like the living room set and bedroom set we bought. I feel like the price we paid was fair enough. And if you miss one weekend deal here, chances are 100% there's a better one right around the corner. Ever heard the term don't bullshit a bullshitter? Of course you have. That's sort of what I feel when I walk in here and interact with their pushy sales people. My wife found a living room set she liked. It was reasonable. I touched it, I knew it wasn't leather, but I didn't care really. We have a leather couch already for upstairs. She asks the sales man if it was real leather and he goes and answers in the affirmative. Astounding. Next we find a bedroom set that had granite tops on a couple of the night stands and dressers. The guy goes into a spiel about how it's solid granite. Yes, each little piece that is glued together is solid. I was looking at the seams! Again, I didn't care. I don't expect a solid granite top for the prices they were slingin'. Then my wife asks about the wood "Is it solid?" He answers "It's solid Asian hardwood." Now at that point I wasn't sure if he was making a joke about my wife's ethnicity, but then I decided he was making a joke that might go over a some customer's heads. All that furniture is made in China in factories in or near Shenzhen. So it's Asian Hardwood . . . ha ha ha ha . . . uh yeah, good one. Just be aware that some truth stretching goes on here, and you'll be OK. If you are an informed consumer you might just enjoy your experience. And supposedly they give away TVs too sometimes . . . read more

absolutely the worst policies, store managers and customer service help in the history of business. we bought a sectional couch in july 2023 at south park meadows in austin texas and had it delivered a week later. the delivery service persons did not speak english and set up the couch and left quickly as they could. after several attempts to make the couch work it would not fit in our living area. 15 minutes after the delivery was made we called customer service and let them know the predicament and requested to exchange the couch for a better size. after 4-5 follow up calls to customer service and 3 visits with the store manager they would not honor and exchange stating all sales are final. don't be fooled by the wonderful policies listed online they are not universal to all stores. the store manager is a joke (just a puppet to quote policies and put up employee schedules).he has no authority to over ride any policies. i understand policies but what about real life situations. no exceptions no customer service.... no keeping the customer happy. we have purchased furniture at this store for over 20 years. now we have a brand new sectional in our foyer and are forced to sell it any way we can....(the store's recommendation). please stay clear of this business. read more

Waited one month for delivery and when table arrived it was missing one part and they could not put it together. So then they told me I will have to wait another 4-6 weeks. I called them up and complained, then they supposed to deliver on next Sunday. We had appointment and one day before delivery they call to tell me that manufacturer discontinued it. What ? Within a day all changed? And when I look at documents it was written "Made in China". So I guess they were overnighting table from China. This a joke. BEWARE! Furniture arrived with missing pieces, hardware and scratches. Their own delivery team said it was unacceptable and the delivery was rejected on the spot. They gave us two choices: accept it or take a 10% restocking fee. Manager Michael Cardenas was great at the store and even said: "there is no fee to return" and we could reach out anytime. When the moment came to reach out to him, he didn't answer text, VM and passed on the ball to his other manager. The interesting part is on their paperwork it says " At Ashley HomeStore, we believe that you and your shopping experience with us matters. We are dedicated to providing you with an uncompromising shopping experience that is second to none!" read more

Wow! From the commercials, I would have figured I would have a great experience shopping for a couch here. Frightening! So we were greeted at the door and quickly assigned a "stalker". We didn't find what we were looking for, but did have a lot of fun trying to loose our sales person. He followed us around and "casually" leaned on furniture behind us. Worst tail ever. I almost offered him a newspaper with eyeholes. As we walked around trying to ditch our tail, we realized the furniture was really cheap (not price wise, just make wise). SO not a fan. read more

I had quite an experience when I first walked into Ashley's Furniture. I called hours ahead to confirm pricing for a price match from a competitor. The employee I spoke to confirmed that they would honor the price. When I walked into the store with my wife and two kids, I expected a quick exchange to pay for the sofa and be done. That was not the case at all. I was greeted by the employee I spoke to earlier and he told me that there may be a problem honoring the price since the company they needed to call was now closed for the day. I asked what else I can do? He stated that I could find another store in the state of Texas that was open at the time. He would then price match with that store. I proceeded to google and confirm two stores in Dallas and Katy Texas which would meet the requirements he gave me. He then walked away to meet with a manager only to come back to tell me that he could not honor those price match quotes either. I asked for the manager and he told me that the manager did not want to speak to me. I refused that answer, as I had a gut feeling he was lying, so I got up and found the manager myself. After speaking to the manager, I realized that the employee agreed to honor the price match just to get me in the door. He broke several of their terms and conditions only to lie in hopes I would be stupid enough to accept what he said. When found and talked to Manager Chris Wilson, we had a respectful chat about everything that took place. After hearing my story, he decided he should do the right thing and honor the price match commitment originally confirmed. A man has his word and Chris honored that, and I'm very thankful for his commitment. Not only did he honor his word, but he got my sofa shipped and delivered 2 days later. I know this probably doesn't exemplify a normal experience to Ashley's Furniture but I wanted to share mine. I would say, if you're going to visit there, ask for Chris Wilson, and he'll take good care of you. If I was rating this review before talking to the manager, it old be a one star. This 5 star review is based on the managers actions to do right by a customer. read more

To say I am unhappy with Ashley Homestore would be an understatement. The Fairborn ,Ohio sales staff was ok but PROBLEM #1. Recliner ordered. 11\05 pick up date was 11\19. Not happy with that lag time. PROBLEM #2 warehouse hours 12 noon till ....store neglected to advise me as I arrived 1 hour prior to opening. PROBLEM #3. Initially told my chair was lost somewhere in the warehouse. PROBLEM #4 wrong chair was delivered plus the chair I ordered was not in stock and I could go "pick another one". What do I want to do? PROBLEM #5. I paid by check the check has cleared my bank but I will get a check in the mail in 15 days. I will never ever deal with this company again. This is my 2nd negative with Ashley HomeStore. Beware, people beware. This is the only time in my 80 years of life I have written a negative review. read more

I'm only giving it one star because there are no negatives. We ordered a couch (sectional) January 2019...we are now mid February 2019 and still haven't received the last little part of it. We have called, went up to the store and NO ONE is helpful at all. They just keep telling us to wait on a call like we have no life and sit out the couch like Homer Simpson. If there was an option to put negative stars, I would. Don't go here unless you fully intend to pay full price for their glued together mini furniture. Very, very unsatisfied with Ashley delivery service. I bought a sectional couch and paid for the couch in full. To begin, I had to wait over a month before receiving even a part of my couch. They couldn't deliver all 3 pieces in one day, so they had to schedule two separate delivery days. The first delivery day and time was confirmed by automated calls and texts (which continue over and over again, even after you confirm). I take that time off of work to be home for delivery. Then, I get another automated call saying the date has been changed. I call customer service and after a long conversation, the bottom line is the date stays the same. Then another phone call comes in and now the time range has changed. I have to readjust my days from work and receive part of my sofa. I call to confirm the second delivery, get a date and time, take off of work for that day, and...you guessed it, I get an automated call for a different day. I call the deliver service this time and I'm told that they date was changed because they don't have the piece in the warehouse. I asked, "How can someone confirm a deliver date without having the piece in the warehouse". Again, another long conversation. I was offered a refund for the deliver charge which I most definitely accepted. I readjusted my time off from work to meet the new day and time. I receive the automated call two days before delivery, confirm it, think all is well, but the day before delivery I get another automated call with a different time!!!!! This new time interferes with my work so I'm having to adjust yet again. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! NO CONSISTENCY. NO COMMUNICATION. NO PROFFESSIONALISM. NO RELIANCE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE AGAIN! A PIECE OF ADVICE- NUMBER ONE RULE OF BUSINESS...MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SCREW YOUR CUSTOMER OR YOU'LL END UP WITH NO CUSTOMERS. read more

I've had the worst experience with this store. We ordered a sofa and had been told by the sales associate that they offered full service delivery...lies. Then we were told that we could return the sofa within 14 days for a full refund if we didn't like it as long as it wasn't damaged...also, a lie. All this miscommunication has been put at fault on the customer. So now after going back and forth with what I consider the worst customer service team I've ever dealt with for over 2 weeks, they finally let us return the sofa. However,we are not getting our money back, we are getting store credit. I should not be forced to buy something else at your awful store because you don't know how to communicate correct information to your customers. I'm so pissed that they are getting to keep my money. Never again will I let something like this happen-get everything in writing. PS- If you should ever need to call the customer service team for anything, make sure your phone is charged-you'll be on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes before anyone picks up. read more

So my fiance and I went shopping to kill sometime and were looking at new bedroom sets. We have a perfectly fine queen set, but have been talking about a new one, and if we did get one, would be a King. So we went looking, and found one that we both absolutely liked. But had to decide if we wanted to actually spend the money at this time. We talked to the sales people about delivery charges, and payment options. Let me say first that we are happy with the outcome of our choices, however I am only writing this to let everyone know that they might not tell you everything up front. After we finally decided on our bedroom set, and then tested all the mattresses, found a comforter set and some lamps...we were ready to sign our paperwork for 36 months no interest. The part they didn't tell us, which might have put the brakes on for others, was that we had to pay the taxes, delivery and some down. Luckily we could, but I feel that they need to tell that up front before wasting anytime. And they also decided upon themselves to add in mattress pads...a very odd sneaky upsale of 80 bucks. I am happy with what we have, but seems that in this economy they were a bit dodgy, and shouldn't be in this environment. good luck to those out shopping! read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME! This is the worst service you can possibly receive. I ordered a bedroom set on 6/12/16 and it was delivered on 6/21. The dresser chest they delivered had paint chip damage in several areas. We had to schedule a technician to see if they can fix it; however, they couldn't. Since then, I've had to re-schedule 4 times with Ashley Furniture to get a new bedroom dresser. The next two replacement dressers they delivered were obviously damaged and the paint rubbed off as the delivery guys carried it in the house. I did not accept them and told them I would not take damaged furniture. The next two times I rescheduled, they were late, didn't meet their time frame, and we had to cancel because I work nights. THIS ISSUE IS STILL NOT RESOLVED! They are supposed to call me back with the next 48 hours to set up a new re-scheduling date. Each time I had to reschedule, I'm on hold for an unreasonable amount of time. I just got done with customer service prior to writing this review. I was on the phone for a total of 42 minutes. Most of it was hold time. For those that don't heed my warning to not shop here...if you do end up shopping here, INSPECT YOUR FURNITURE THOROUGHLY AND DON'T ACCEPT IT IF IT'S NOT PRISTINE!!! Do not take damaged furniture and hold them to a high standard. After a horrible experience with another furniture store, I have to say I walked into Ashleys a little desperate. We will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture ever again after this last experience. We ordered a sectional back in June and we finally received word it was ready for delivery September 24th. We sold and had our previous couch removed from our home the day before to have space for our new sectional. We received a call early on delivery day telling us that they damaged one of the two pieces of the sectional and that they'd deliver the piece that wasn't damaged for now. They told us we'd have to wait until the other piece was delivered to their store to have it delivered to our home... in another 2-3 months. So we have half a couch in our living room, with family coming for the holidays and no where for everyone to sit. We were also told that because of the inconvenience, we would receive a "$50 inconvenience refund"... on a $1,400 purchase made almost 5 months ago. We still haven't received any refund, nor have we gotten any updates on the other half of our couch that we have already been charged for. We will ensure that any friend, acquaintance, and family member knows how terrible of an experience we've had so they too purchase their home furniture from someone else other than Ashley Furniture from here on out. read more
