Probably my worst customer service experience ever. I really wish I checked here to see all the feedback prior to investing in two bedrooms with Ashley furniture. Highly recommend taking you money and sanity somewhere else unless you like furniture deliveries extending past midnight, damaged furniture and spending at least 2 hours a day over a week time span just to figure a new delivery plan. I get it things happen, however nothing in their process is customer centric, it is all about how they can't do some or it is 'their policy'. I am hopeful the review saves someone else my aggravation and frustration. Ashley has lost a customer, but based on my interactions with them, I'd say they don't care. read more

If I could give negative stars I would!!! I am being over charged they refused to refund or credit the amount. I literally sat there in the store with my bank on the phone, the contract, and receipt and the man refused to credit my account (I was there to pay it off) However, instead he swore at me and refused to credit my account or give me a copy of my contract! The furniture the was supposed to be delivered in a week turned into a month later. Additionally, another item ordered was delayed until August. Therefore, I canceled it and requested refund. One of the items not being credited along with payments I made on the account. I will be involving my lawyer! read more

My boyfriend and I went into Ashley Homestore in Olympia to purchase a Tempur-Pedic mattress and base. I allowed my boyfriend to handle the transaction, but later inspected our order receipt and discovered that the salesperson ordered us a Ergo Smart Base Extend instead of the Ergo Smart Base that we asked for. The price difference between the two is $600 before taxes! My boyfriend should have absolutely been more thorough when checking the order, but the salesperson should not have put in an order for something we explicitly said we did not want. On top of that, they weren't going to give us our $300 worth of girft cards for purchasing a Tempur-Pedic mattress. Good thing I happened to pick up a sales ad and see it on the front page. It would have been nice to know ahead of time as we would have used them to purchase the mattress cover/protector. We were also charged for the 10-year protection plan of a split king base instead of a queen base. So either our salesperson was incompetent or my boyfriend was taken advantage of. read more

I'm really shocked by the negative reviews of this place because I had such a wonderful experience here. Jason and Adriana were extremely helpful through the whole process. Neither one of them were pushy but very attentive if I needed help or had questions. I also loved that they were honest and REAL! I feel like I left with exactly what I wanted at a great price. Horrible delivery service! We just bought our home and needed a new sofa. We bought some other furniture from Living Spaces, but this location was close, and I had already looked online and found a sofa I wanted to see. So my husband and I went in. We were helped by a manager who was cool. We ended up waiting a few days, went back and bought the sofa. All was fine until delivery. 1 of the drivers was a complete jerk, just unfriendly, and was on an ego trip. They got most of the sectional in before saying the middle piece was broken, and the guy said he would call customer service. So he calls, and says he needed to put in an exchange. The rep asked him if I refused delivery, and he lied and told her that they already left...he lied right in front of me! So then I said that it needed to be handled correctly. He then got mad and said "we'll take it then" grabbed the piece and stormed out. He then walked back into my home like he owned it, stood over me and told me to sign. I told him I needed to speak to customer service. He then said he took a picture, and that he needed to go. At that point I checked him because he was completely disrespectful to me, and he was lying. He walked out. I called customer service and reported what happened, and they told me that it would be 4 days before they could get the other piece. My husband later called them and the manager who was apologetic, however the whole thing left a negative image of this company. If my husband would have been there, that driver's demeanor would have been completely different. After that, because the manager did try to rectify the situation, and sped up the delivery on the missing piece, I went in to purchase some bedroom pieces I saw online. When I got there he talked me out of it, and showed me some more expensive options. He said the set I wanted was cheap. Here is the thing, he should have sold it to me because I left, and ordered a nicer set from Living Spaces online, and they delivered the next morning. Their drivers were courteous. I have been living a nightmare thanks to Ashley furniture store since October 2018. We purchased a new sectional that we thought was very nice on October 4 was not delivered until November 8 after the lady in the place told us it should be able to be delivered the very next day. I should have known then that this company was not one I was going to be happy with. They delivered the three-piece sectional and each piece had blemishes and rips I have been living a nightmare thanks to Ashley furniture store since October 2018. Not only did they cause more damage to the couch that I have been forced to keep they also ripped my walls apart and scratched my laminate floor . The Cuddler part of the sectional was rocking back-and-forth like a rocking chair because of a manufactured error so that had to be yet again re-ordered. We finally got the new piece and are currently waiting for parts of the larger couch piece to be repaired, And also the Cuddler piece that is now not rocking however it has cut my hand multiple times due to a nail sticking out of it, the repair person has come and fix that and had to order new upholstery for their larger piece so I have to schedule a repair appointment, yet again. We were promised by their customer service supervisor, Daniel, who is the most smug and arrogant rude person I have ever had to deal with with such a inconvenience situation he told both my husband and I that we were going to get a much better refund for all the inconvenience we have been through. They are liars and an awful company.Between my husband and I there have now been SEVEN days of missed work and wasted days off due to deliveries, contractor appointments and repair appointments because you "have to be available ALL day" on their appointment days. Store and products are great. Delivery, inventory management and pricing need help. Their website is always cheaper than the store but you have to go to the store and quote show the website price to get it. Why can't I just buy online at that price. They had 3 failed delivery attempts before they got my order right. That being said, the price and quality of the two couches I bought from them are unbeatable. He was willing to work with us on pricing options and really urged us to consider buying soon because of the sale and short-term discount offered on the frame we wanted. Try getting in contact with them . Couldn't get a straight answer. Yesterday I decided to go back to the store in Roseville where I did purchase it and I was told to call a number. We got full store credit for our peeling dura-blend sofa and love-seat (awesome), and free shipping in the top grain leather sofa and love-seat replacement we picked out. The salesman Mark at SouthPark Meadows was great! He told us they no longer carry the dura-blend product. We was able to find us a great replacement that was much better than what we had before. We're much happier with our purchase now, and really appreciate how much Ashley took care of us years after a purchase. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We purchased a table and after getting it home, realized it was damaged. We tried to return it to our local home store the next day, but we were told we had to wait for the service order (and a visit from a technician) to initiate an exchange. Except they never filed the service order, and when we went back a week later, their system was down. The system was down for TWO WEEKS. They finally give us a working customer service number to file our own service order and then promptly deny it the next day. Apparently the crunched edge of the table isn't covered under the manufacturer's warranty because we picked up the table from the warehouse. So basically, this company thinks it's okay to sell you damaged furniture as long as you don't notice when you pick it up (when it's inside the box). After calling the customer service number today, I was disconnected FOUR separate times waiting to speak with a supervisor. On my fifth attempt, I was told there's nothing they can do but offer me a 10% discount, which was frankly laughable, and there was no one else that I could speak to. So after three weeks, I'm stuck with a brand new table that's damaged, which I am unable to exchange or return. The local home store also told me there's nothing they can do. For your own sanity, do NOT buy your furniture from these crooks. read more

Let me start my review by saying that I felt great about my purchase when I ordered it. I got a good deal, the buying experience was pleasant, and everything was delivered on time. I liked this. HOWEVER, I have one huge issue that simply cannot be forgiven. I bought a bed set and was offered financing. I could have paid for it all up front, but the sales associate told me that I could pay for a majority up front, and then get 0% financing on the rest. I thought "Sure, why not? What harm could that do?" After my products were delivered I got a new credit card in the mail, which really surprised me. I immediately called to ask what happened. They told me that I now have a credit card with them. This is NOT what I signed up for. I was told I would get 6 month closed financing. After I paid it off that was supposed to be the end of it. Instead, they signed me up for a full credit card that I never wanted. Now I'm going to have to pay it all off, keep track of this card, then cancel the card after everything is done. Once I cancel this card that going to hurt my credit score, which is going to be a huge problem when I try to get a home loan. I have great credit by avoiding situations like this. Ashley Furniture pulled a fast one on me. They promised me one thing, made it sound like a helpful service, then took me for a fool. I even expressly asked if this would be closed financing, but was deliberately mislead. I tried to call to file a complaint about this but was told I couldn't because they were "too busy". I was told the only thing I could do was write something on Yelp, so here I am. The product was good, but the dishonest sales tactics are infuriating. If you are interested in purchasing furniture from Ashley furniture HomeStore I truly advise you not to. The quality of the furniture is cheap cheap cheap I received three damaged tables I'm on my fourth table now and the only reason is because I would've had a credit to the store. I purchased the rug to go under the table the rug is entirely to big for the space. I called customer service and they state that their policy is that they can't do an exchange for a smaller rug and this was based on a team decision..... To me this sounds like a rip off and I know that there has to be some kind of laws that will not force you to keep a purchase that does not work for you. Date: 11/12/2020. If I could give 0 stars I would! Felicia was so nice when I first met her seem like she cared but a course they all do when they're trying get money out of you. I was told my couch would be delivered on the date I set up. Well finally got the couch after waiting a month and missing a whole part of the couch. Felicia couldn't explain what's going on with the delivery so I had take time out my day to go back up to the store and speak to management! I was told I be contacted on an update about my missing couch piece on Thursday which was yesterday but obviously no one cares. So, once again I have to get into contact with my salesperson which said "im going on vacation contact management" if you sold it to me you should be responsible! Apparently vacations are more important rather than making sure your customers get their full order! This whole experience has been the worst and I recommend no one buys anything from here! I will NEVER buy a $2,200 couch from this company again! Update on my piece that's still missing it is 02/06/2021 and still hasn't arrived! They keep pushing back the date till the next month and not even letting me schedule a delivery. I have been speaking with cooperate and still no guarantee when my right hand part of the sofa will be delivered! Also, called the store 5 times no one answers!!! 03/29/2021 finally got my final piece for the couch but they forgot to bring the legs for the couch. We had been searching for a sectional couch for a few weeks when we finally decided to take the trip to Ashley Home store, being it wasn't local for us. We were approached initially after entering the store, but let them know we wanted to look around for a bit first. We were not approached after that, other than a simple hello, that was a plus for us as we didn't want to feel pressured. We instead approached a salesman ourselves after failing to find the model sectional that we were looking for. JR was amazing. We were set on buying this one model couch, but after much discussion about what features the couch had as far as cleaning and pet concerns we were between our original couch, and one that was easier to clean. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My wife and I purchased a piece from Ashley several years ago, and it required us to refuse delivery on two separate occasions as the piece was damaged both times. It took a total of nearly a month to get an undamaged item. We are always for giving a second chance, so we decided to purchase a bed from Ashley that matched the previously purchased item. We purchased the bed on February 22nd, and were notified that it was scheduled for delivery on March 3rd. We did not hear anything from them confirming a time window for delivery, so we had to contact them. We were then told that no delivery had been scheduled (even though we had an email stating that delivery was scheduled), and that delivery would now be March 9th. The bed was finally delivered on the 9th, however, it was damaged. The shipping boxes had been ripped open and then crudely taped together. The top of the foot board had been crushed. We refused delivery, and asked that they put it back on the truck. They refused to take it, and told us that we would have to arrange with Ashley to come get it. Upon speaking to Ashley's customer service, we were told that nothing could be done until the next day, as it was not yet in their system. We spoke to them again the following day, and were informed that they could have a replacement bed to us by March 16, and that they would take away the damaged bed at that time as well. Again, we did not hear from anyone confirming a time window for delivery, so we again had to contact them. Once again, no delivery had been scheduled, so we just asked that they come get the damaged bed and refund our money. We were then told that we would have to wait 3 days for them to respond to our request. As of this writing, I have had a damaged king size bed sitting in my living room for a week, Ashley has had my money for 3 weeks, and I still have not received an undamaged product or any resolution to the issue. On top of all of this, we had already purchased a mattress separately from another seller (great service there by the way), and have had to postpone delivery of the mattress (for which we have already paid in full) 3 times now due to Ashley's horrendous service. I will never do any business with Ashley in the future, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Update as of 3/18/2021: After the original review above, I spent approximately 2 hours on the phone with both their delivery group and their customer support only to be told they would not do anything to respond to my requests, but I was at least able to finally set a date to pick up the damaged merchandise from my home. You will see that the company replied to my original review. The company's seemingly automated response to my reply was nothing more than a ruse to give the appearance publicly that the company takes issues like these seriously. It is very obvious that they do not. The reply I received from their "internal escalation team" was merely a few empty platitudes and a statement that a pick up had been scheduled. As of the scheduled pick up date, I will have a king sized bed sitting in my living room for almost 2 weeks and, 2 days short of one month from the date I originally placed the order, still have no bed. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!! The customer service after leaving the showroom has been the worst I have EVER received in my life!!! Ive had more trouble with this order than any other purchase I have ever made. I ordered 4 pieces. With 2 of the pieces the delivery got rescheduled 3 times. I even tried to buy the floor models to save everyone some trouble but was repeatedly told no. On the 3rd try to deliver I received confirmation of delivery with a time frame. They never showed. Never called. Nothing. Turns out somebody added a penny balance on my account and it caused the delivery to be cancelled. Now the 2 pieces which were reserved for me have probably been resold and I will have to wait another month or longer to get another delivery date which they may or may not keep. I wish that Ashley Furniture could have handled things better. Luckily you have some great employees like Alex that attempted to fix this the best he could. UPDATE: I called today to make sure my delayed order would arrive on the next date given 2/19/20 and they are telling me it is going to be delayed even further and that they do not have an exact date of when. No one ever called ME about this, I had to call them. I MADE THIS ORDER OVER 2 1/2 MONTHS AGO!! Honestly this is my first YELP review I have ever written. My experience with Ashley has been frustrating to say the least. I first made my order on 12/7/19 and they let me know it would not arrive until 1/23/20. My wife and I were OK with this as that will give us time to have someone come get our old bedroom set. Last weekend we went ahead and sold the old set to make room for the new furniture (now staying in spare bedroom upstairs). Turn to Tuesday 1/21/20 (two days before it is suppose to be delivered), we get a call that our order is delayed and it would not be available till February 20, 2020 now. I call the customer service team back to find out what is going on and find out my options of possibly canceling due to us needing furniture in our bedroom. They advised me that I will need to call the store. I attempt to call the store 15+ times with no answer. I then call the Customer Service number back and they told me they will send the store a message to call me (this never happened). I finally take off work for an hour to go to the store today. I speak to my sales rep that first helped me and let him know that the order got delayed and I have been trying to call the store as instructed. I was told by the Rep that no one answers the calls and that they have reduced the staff. No joke, as I am standing there multiple calls were going unanswered. He goes on to tell me that if I am thinking of canceling that I will need to call the Customer Service Line and gave me a pamphlet (attached). I call the customer service line and they let me know they cannot do anything about the delay and that if I want to cancel that I have to go to the store to do it in person and that I will be charged a 10% fee to cancel. I LITERALLY WAS JUST AT THE STORE AND THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I end up talking to a manger (Her name was LUZ) at Customer Service who tells me that there is probably 50-50 chance it will get delayed again and that I will still have to pay the 10% cancellation fee at that time. I am appalled that they can do this to customers. In the end the manager at Customer Service did waive the delivery fee which I guess is at least something. My hope is now that my purchase comes by February 20 and that I can update this review with a better ending. I do hope management sees this post and reaches out to me. Ordered from the online website using my Ashley furniture card and whew it's a joke. First on 2/6 i ordered something and it said failed on the app but my money still held. I'm thinking, okay it went through on my card maybe it'll be alright. I message Ashley furniture and I get someone who takes ages to respond to messages. So midway through that fiasco I call Ashley furniture. I got a nice girl who advised I try doing it through chrome and making sure the address was correct and that I need to call synchrony to release the funds. I do so, they give me a number to call back Ashley and I do who tell me it'll take 1-2 days before my funds get released. Ok. No sweat. I tried to reorder the item TWICE and it did NOT go through. And Even though my order did not go through twice, they STILL hold the money on my account and I have to call synchrony who tell me they "need to investigate" the situation and it can take up to 90 days. Are you kidding me? No piece of furniture is worth this hassle and I will be taking my business elsewhere read more

Two parts to this review: 1) JR is awesome to deal with, he helped my wife and I find some items for our home. He took time with us to show different options and didn't push us in any direction. He is a very knowledgeable man, and extremely easy to talk with. If we ever went back I would only work with JR. If you go in, ASK FOR JR! Thanks again JR! 2) I attempted to return a rug before it arrived at our home and was unable to on several attempts. In the paperwork it stated to call before it arrives to cancel, and I did days in advance, yet the rug showed up. We refused the rug through FedEx, and eventually had to dispute the charge with our credit card company. You encounter a lot of customer service disasters, but this is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Sold me a protection plan that explicitly said to be refundable within a time frame. Been calling since December 2015 to claim it and was given the run around until the time expired. Several employees at the store told me they were looking into it, never heard from any of them. Took it to corporate office where they flippantly told me there was nothing they were going to do about it and sat in silence on the phone until I decided to get off. They also refused to contact the store itself. She told me absolutely nothing would be done for me. Hate is a strong word, but I hate this company. I'm now out over $300 bucks because Ashely Furniture is full of of useless liars all the way up to their corporate office. We were promised our items (sectional, pictures, ottoman, bench, etc) would be delivered within 4-5 weeks but potentially up to 10 weeks due to delays... After 3 phone calls, 10 weeks, and zero help, my wife went back to the store and asked about our order. They pushed it another 3 weeks and said nothing was available to take home. Horrible service. We ordered a sectional couch online on July 4th. It was out of stock and we were told it could take up to 8 weeks to get it. Not ideal, but understandable given the pandemic. We were told a couple weeks later that all items were in stock and the couch would arrive on August 11th (3-4 weeks sooner than we thought). This morning (August 7th, 4 days before it's supposed to be delivered), we are told it won't be here until September 8th because two of the sectional pieces are on complete manufacturer back order. How are we just now being notified those pieces are on back order when the delivery day is 4 days away and all the items should be shipped? If they're on manufacturer back order, Ashley would have been told a while back. When I called to inquire about how they could get this information so wrong and to us so late, I had to be transferred to 3 or 4 different departments. Nobody there could tell me anything other than it won't be here until September. No organizational accountability whatsoever. I'm never purchase anything from Ashley again and am going to start working to get a refund. read more

WARNING!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!! I mistakenly left a positive review regarding the excellent service I received from the salesman BEFORE my furniture arrived. After multiple delivery delays they delivered my sofa (loveseat was further delayed) on 12/2. The delivery drivers left the sofa in my entryway and were gone before I could even unwrap it. Of course when I did, which was immediately, I saw the sofa was broken and a piece of the frame is protruding out from under the fabric. I immediately called customer care which was an absolute nightmare! 4 hours on the phone explaining I don't know how many times that I couldn't refuse delivery because the drivers dropped the sofa and left! I thought they went to get the paperwork for me to sign and they were GONE! Finally someone who claimed to be a supervisor opened a claim and said it I didn't hear anything in a week to call back. More than a week went by and nothing. So I called and started the process again. This has been repeated multiple times. Sometimes I'm told there are no notes or open claims, sometimes I'm told it's already been resolved, regardless Customer Care is unwilling to help. I even contacted the sales rep. He said there was an open claim to have some clean the sofa. It isn't dirty. It's broken, you can't clean that away. I haven't heard from him since. Today 1/4 the loveseat finally arrived. As the drivers unloaded it I could see it was already assembled, feet attached, completely unpackaged. It was heavily stained, fabric was ripped at the corners, and black scuff marks, at least one of the wood feet looked like it had been chewed up by a pet. It was obviously used. The drivers didn't deny any of this and I refused delivery. At this point I am done. I never want to deal with Ashley Furniture again. I called customer care to arrange for pick up of the sofa and full credit for both pieces. The customer care rep said the sofa and loveseat are not returnable and since I accepted delivery nothing could be done. I explained multiple times I did not accept delivery and I reported the damage on the sofa at the time of delivery. The website clearly states it must be reported within 72 hours. He said the website is not accurate and doesn't apply because I signed for the sofa which I did not. He claimed to have my signature. I advised him I didn't sign anything either time so if he has a signature it isn't mine. This continued to escalate to the point of saying if I didn't sign it I should file fraud charges but there wasn't anything he or anyone else at Ashley Furniture would do about it. And he was a supervisor. I finally hung up out of frustration. I text my sales rep. No response. As of now I have paid for a sofa and loveseat. The sofa has a broken frame and I do not have the loveseat. Ashley Furniture will not pick up the sofa or issue credit for the sofa or loveseat. They said I am shit out of luck. I wish I had seen the negative reviews before I placed my order and I hope this review stops someone from making the same mistake. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They cheat and lie to save money. It has been exhausting trying to resolve issues with them. I have been complaining about our couches to them, I called them 2 years ago with the issue, and after many, many phone calls and emails and frustration they finally "approved" sending cushion replacements for SOME of the damaged seats. The color of them are different from my other seats, and the older seat covers were beginning to get damaged, when I explained this over the phone they said that is all they can do about it. Yesterday, at one of the Ashley Furniture showrooms an employee tells me that they have replaced those couches for a lot of people because they know the material is defective, but that they try to get out of it if they can, and that I should try again. Because at this point my couches have peeled so badly, there are patches all over(I am too embarrassed to have people over with them in this state). When I called in today, they told me I am 20 days over the warranty period. 20 days over! Yet I called 2 years ago. After almost an hour of talking to representatives and then managers, they said there was no way they could do anything because it is a "new issue" they're hearing about, and that 2 years ago doesn't count as they had fixed the issue with the new covers. So $3,500 couches only last 3 years at Ashley Furniture! Any defects, they will get themselves out of paying anything to help their customers and fix THEIR issues. I would never, ever shop there again. It makes me sick thinking about the thousands of dollars we spent there, and when their furniture is defective, we get stuck. read more

The first sofa I ordered arrived torn, and I contacted the Customer Service department who offered to deliver a replacement. I received a phone call and a text to confirm my delivery date and I confirmed via the link included in the text. My delivery time came and went, and I contacted Customer Service again who told me that my delivery date had been rescheduled, without my knowledge. So I had to take time off of work to be home for the rescheduled delivery. When the 2nd delivery day arrived, I received a call from the customer service department that the delivery team was running behind. They arrived over an hour past when they were supposed to deliver my sofa. I do not blame the delivery team at all, they did a great job removing the damaged sofa and installing the new one. However, the late arrival added to my overall horrible experience with Ashley. read more

I am really really disappointed from this store as I bought dinning table set of 6 and my table started bubbling after 7-8 months . I tried to reach them they said they cannot fix it because I don't have protection plan so it doesn't matter if I reached them before a year because bubbling is not covered. No such thing as customer service. Before you buy look for reviews and see all the defective products and how poorly, if at all, the issues were resolved. For my money I will stay away. Update to post in response to Ashley: Here is a good example of poor customer service. You asked me to contact you "through an internal message". If I were the one looking to correct poor service I would not leave it to the consumer to figure out how YOU want to be messaged or contacted.
