We stopped in for the pasta dinner while visiting Seattle. Such a cute restaurant in the capital hill area. Service was great. We got the risotto and pasta Della sera. Both were unique and delicious in their own ways. And two pastas and a bottle of wine for $47 is a great deal.

Short rib mini ravs

We came for the 2 pastas and a wine bottle for $47 on a Monday evening. Starting with the bread, that was delicious and came with a great seasoned ricotta spread ($5). The appetizer offerings didn't pop for us. So we moved on to the pasta; the short rib francobolli with rosemary & parmigiano. It's essential mini raviolis and it's great. The sauce is awesome and the pastas itself is a real treat. There just isn't a lot of it. Artusi has a good business model w the bottle and pastas and the restaurant is cozy. Worth coming back for another Monday :). The person I ate with thought there was too much Parmesan, he's wrong.

Definitely a must visit when I find myself in Seattle. Corner spot with great windows and lots of natural light. If it's just two I like dining at the bar. The bartenders are fun to talk to and know the menu well. The pastas are on the smaller side but pack great flavors. The Cacio e pepe and gnocchi with sugar snap peas were both amazing and the panzanella was perfect. The cocktails I think are too inventive and I do appreciate the approachable wine list. I never leave room for dessert so maybe next time.

Visiting from out of town, serendipitously found the place. Good quality food at a good price, and good service. Solid 4 stars around, nothing to complain!

Great experience dining here. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, as well a articulately designed. We made reservations just to be on the safe side, since Spinasse was all booked. The hostess was friendly and nice. She went over the specials and she sold us. We had the Burrata with snap peas and croutons + Burrata with snap peas and croutons as our appetizers. Two of us ordered the halibut ravioli, which was made to perfection. It was light to the palette, but flavorful and filling to the stomach. My boyfriend had the short rib and he enjoyed it very much (so good, I didn't get a chance to take a pic). Would love to come back and try other dishes!

This is a staple of pasta restaurants in Seattle. You know what you get, and what you get is good. Options are limited, which I think is nice. You don't come here to flip through a menu of a breadth of options, you come here for pasta. Sure, there are a few mains to select from too, but really - it's about the pasta. Did I mention they have great pasta? Staff is friendly and service is attentive and quick. On this particular evening I did not have a reservation, showed up and was told it would probably be around 30mins to get a table; was texted 15mins later and seated within a few minutes of stepping back through the door. Cocktail arrived 5mins after seating - happy place reached! Dishes come as they are prepared, there's no guarantee in order or timing but it usually works out well. Me and my company shared a started, and our pastas arrived within a minute of each other. The place is small. It's tight between tables, yet strangely intimate. You rarely get distracted by the conversations of the table next to you. The background noise can sometimes be a bit of a heavy blanket, and depending on your seating and time of your visit, you may have to lean in to hear your conversation without having to raise your voice, but in general it's around an average noise level for a busy restaurant. This is my "go to" when I'm in or around Capitol Hill and don't really know what I want but don't want to gamble on a new experience.

I had a great experience dining here. A friend was in town and we wanted to grab dinner somewhere. We originally tried to go to Spinasse, but they didn't take walk-ins. Luckily, Artusi was right next to us & they had availability (we got there around 9 PM). The hostess was amazing and our waitress was also incredibly nice. Please note you have to be 21 to dine here and they checked my ID twice. The inside is very cute with the dim lighting. No loud music, so a perfect place to have dinner with a nice conversation. We got a bread appetizer to share & we had 3 people, so the waitress was nice enough to throw in an extra slice. The carrot whipped ricotta was a very interesting flavor & you could really taste the carrot. The bread was also cold and hard, so I would opt for a different appetizer next time. All of our main dishes were incredible. The portions were also great. I got the Tonnarelli as a vegetarian option. It's more on the heavier side, but i usually like that with my pastas. Would definitely get again. For dessert, we got the tiramisu which was amazing. I don't even like coffee, but i was able to eat this. We also stayed past their closing time without realizing. I felt so bad as we were leaving, but they were all still very nice to us! Really enjoyed this experience.

The pasta here is pretty good but the unexpected highlight of the night was the fry bread appetizer. Omg, this item felt unassuming to me but I seriously considered ordering a second one even after I was full because the texture of the fry bread was just so light and fluffy and hit with olive oil and flaky salt, it shined by itself. However, there was also prosciutto cotto and then the butter and chimchurri? It was amazing. everything else was good but not super memorable and we also got a corn and bacon pasta where the fresh noodles were of good texture.

Meatballs

Wow I really enjoyed my meal here! One of the best meatballs I've ever had and I really enjoyed the sauce with the Tonnarelli. Was a refreshing and light meal. Boyfriend had the short rib, it was tender and delicious. Only reason I would hesitate to stop by again and not a 5/5 is the price and portion size. Felt pricey for the size of the meal you get. If it was like 1.5 x bigger portion I would feel satisfied! Unfortunately I left feeling a bit hungry still. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance felt modern and welcoming.

Artusi is so good! We initially intended to go to Spinasse next door but landed here instead. It ended up being their Wine and Pasta deal Monday, so we did that and got the appetizer / antipasti plate and some dessert! Overall it was so delicious, pasta portions felt on the smaller side but the quality was there. Definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend the antipasti platter, the fry bread was 10/10 as well as the burrata and other fixins. We were seated right away at the bar when we got there at 6, and the restaurant was starting to fill up. It's a small space but it's layed out well and feels very NYC. Staff were so lovely too.

I recently visited Artusi, and I was surprised to learn it's actually the sister restaurant of Spinasse, one of the best Italian spots in Seattle. Even though they sit right next to each other, it's not obvious they're affiliated until you ask the staff. One of the best perks is that you can order Spinasse's famously delicious, house-made pasta here--definitely a huge plus. Unfortunately, we had other plans that night, so we couldn't try the pasta, but it's on my list for next time. We stopped by around 4 PM for happy hour. The menu is a little limited on the food side, but the cocktails more than made up for it--they were incredible, balanced, and beautifully done. The space itself is small, so you'll hear conversations around you, but it's not overly loud or distracting. The décor feels classy and comfortable--perfect for a casual date or even a business meet-up without being overly fancy. Another bonus is the small garage next door where parking is just $4 per hour, which is rare and very convenient for Capitol Hill. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Artusi for drinks, a light bite, or a cozy date night. And the fact that they share so much with Spinasse makes it even more of a win.

Pasta della sera and I forgot what the other one was called

Ok first of all, the pasta is out of this world. You can taste the freshness of it and I'm so glad I finally got an opportunity to go here. We went on a Sunday for the 2 pasta and a bottle of wine special (what a deal. You really can't miss it! It's also on Monday too). The pesto on the pasta of the day was so fresh and delicious, it's going to be tough to beat a pesto like that. The restaurant invites a lot of natural lighting which I loved and the service was awesome. Super quick and really accommodating :)

Came for pasta night - 2 pastas and a bottle of wine for $47 on Sundays and Mondays. Ordered the house bread for $5, which was made worth it by the incredible rosemary butter. Also had the tonarelli pasta, which was sort of a small portion but good enough (creamy and flavorful but sort of too simple). The house rose was nice and crisp. Food came out very fast!

Trust someone who was born and raised in Italy. Sadly, less than mediocre food at a pretty high price. Disappointing

I was recommended two drinks out of the options I had given my bartender. The first was Santiago and saints. It was highly recommended and for good reason. It hit the spot after a humid day and was a refreshing start to my evening. Well balanced, bright, and cucumbery! The second drink I had was the espresso martini and this one was perfectly balanced and creamy! Would definitely come back. The only downside to the place is the price of cocktails. The cocktails here are delicious and balanced with more complexity than you might find at other bars. The one downside of this place is that it's always extremely busy, so you need to make a reservation or you probably won't be able to get a seat. The bartenders here are super knowledgeable and friendly. I love coming here and getting their recommendations on a flight because I know the spirits I'll be trying are esoteric with lots of history. Each unique bottle has history behind when it was selected and where the spirit is coming from. Knowing that history and how it influences the flavors of the spirit is super interesting to me. If you've never been into drinking spirits straight, definitely ask for a recommendation and the bartenders will help you out (Sam specifically knows a bunch about rum). The cocktails are also delicious, most of them are familiar classics with an interesting twist. The Jiminy Cricket, for example, takes a grasshopper and turns it into a spirit forward drink; with a delicious split base of cognac and rum for fruity fermented flavors, branca menta and matcha for the bitter herbal aspects, and creme de cacao to finish off the traditional grasshopper flavors of mint and chocolate.

We shared a salad, the steak arepa, and the pork arepa. The salad they had on the menu wasn't updated but they had a summer salad with watermelon and it was refreshing and great! The arepas tasted great but were pretty heavy, I think probably because of the sauce. But there wasn't really any way to avoid the sauce. Even splitting amongst three people it was a lot- I think it was still good to try, I liked the steak more than the pork, but I would've only ordered one in the future.
