We had such a great experience with this business. So knowledgeable and passionate about keeping trees healthy. We truly felt safe putting our trees in his hands. read more

Like others on here, I did not hire this company to destroy my yard but my neighbors did, unfortunately. I met with owner (Porfirio Rodriguez) he came to the house, confirmed the $500-600 in damage repair. We agreed to about $400 in damage he would pay me for the repairs, "check is in the mail". I find it ironic that he owns the company since he does not take ownership of his crew (family relations) and never paid for the repairs. Thanks for showing your true self. read more

Destroyed my flowers and left trash in my backyard while trimming trees for my neighbor. Pictures show how they threw the cut pieces into my flower bed. Their equipment was left in my backyard including their blower and knives. No one on the crew of 8 people could speak English. My Airbnb neighbor came to apologize to her arriving tenants who were surprised by the mess. And the Airbnb owner also apologized to me for the landscape damage. I was left with the job of cleanup. Very poor quality service. Not recommended. read more

We have lived in our home on an acre of eucalyptus trees for over 50 years. We have had countless tree trimming services come and go in that time so we we feel that we are very qualified to pronounce Artistic Arborist as top notch professionals. Mr Rodriguez gave a very accurate assessment of the work which needed to be done both on the eucalyptus and our other surrounding trees. The crew worked over three days to carefully and efficiently complete the job. The clean up was excellent and all the crew were very friendly and responsive to any questions I had. It's a family business which gave a sense of stability to the whole operation which I had not experienced with other companies over the years. We were completely satisfied customers. read more

This family owned business did the best job ever at trimming my double palm, a eucalyptus and a fourth tree yesterday. They care deeply about the health of trees, are very knowledgeable, and got it done when they said they would. In this day and age, when customer service is rare, I was pleasantly surprised to get a text letting me know that Mr. Rodriguez would be here in 45 minutes and another one letting me know he had arrived. His son and daughter are also very professional and the individual who climbed the palms and trimmed them did an outstanding job. Best cleanup ever, too. read more

Porfirio is amazing. He was the only one who came out and told me the a tree didn't need to be cut down. It was fine the way it was. He was the only one who knew what time of year to cut the pines, how to treat the trees for beetles, and what would happen if we didn't treat or cut them right away (not much) Tree trimmers - all of them - made it sound like trees were acting aggressively and deliberately to inconvenience us. Porfirio reframed it - and showed us the difference between an arborist and a "tree trimmer". Arborists love trees and have the tools to fix them, not just butcher them. Sure the trees can be crooked. Sure seed pods can get over your lawn. "Trees are just like people", he said. read more

Artistic Arborist spent the day in our yard trimming trees that hadn't been trimmed in nearly a decade. We have a giant eucalyptus tree that was in desperate need of trimming and cleaning out. They spend a few hours on that tree and I was so worried they were going to ruin the way the tree looked. Quite the opposite, the tree looks beautiful now! And because of the way they cleaned it out more sun is coming through the branches and our yard is brighter and our solar panels are not in the shade anymore. They also trimmed a pepper tree and our dwarf orange tree. In addition, they "fixed" a 40 ft tall pine tree that had been previously butchered by another "tree trimmer". I highly recommend Artistic Arborist. The crew was professional and friendly and Jessica at the office was very nice and responsive to messages. read more

I was so impressed with Artistic Arborist. I was referred to them by a family member, we had a tree that was growing at a strange angle and causing damage to a retaining wall. Mr. Rodriguez came out to look at it and have us a price to remove the tree and clean up the rest of the yard. His office called the next day to schedule. I was a little nervous because they never gave me a contract or anything to sign, but they came back and did the work they agreed to. Took two days and everything looked great. Then the office called me the next day and emailed me an invoice to pay. So simple and great work! read more

What an awesome experience. Within a hour of requesting a quote Mr Rodriguez was on site and gave a very competitive bid. He crew was on time and immediately started protecting by plants and structures. When they left one could never tell two trees had been there read more

We have several Eucalyptus trees in our backyard that had to be removed because they were falling into our neighbor's driveway and the leaves were littering everyone's pool. We had several people come out to do an estimate and one company wanted to charge us $4000 for the whole job! The cost to remove ONE our biggest tree was almost what Artistic Arborist quoted us for the whole job! Service was prompted, both on the phone and on-site. The crew was professional and worked hard all day. We were really pleased with the removal because once they were done, we couldn't tell there ever was a tree there! The reason for only four star is that we wished the crew would of stacked the woods from the cut down tree at the bottom of the hill so it can easily be hauled off instead of just cutting them and left them where they fell. We had to go out there to gather and stacked them for the people we are giving the fire wood to. Some of the pieces were way too big to be moved so we need to get an ax to chop them into manageable pieces. Overall, we are happy with the price and service. There are two more pine tree that may eventually need to also be removed and we will definitely call on these guys again! read more

I received multiple bids to trim trees at my Oceanside home, but this company shined through for a couple reasons. Not only were they were the lowest bid, but they obviously took the most pride in their work. They truly are artists. There was a bit of a late start the first day (3 hours delayed, truck issues apparently), but they made up for it by putting in a lot of extra effort when they came back to finish the job. They were being polite, taking instruction well, and cleaning up after themselves. Highly professional. Highly recommended. read more

Phenomenal install. Professional, knowledgeable and kind. Beautiful, thoughtful work. Thank you.

Mr. Rodriguez and his crew are some of the hardest working guys you can hire. They worked two days straight on my half acre lot doing weed abatement, tree trimming and stump grinding in 100 degree heat and didn't slow down the whole time. We needed to have the yard fixed up for our annual July 4th party and Artistic Arborist were able to fit us into their busy schedule and complete the project as promised for a fair price. Within two days our yard was transformed from a half acre of dead and dying weeds into a great outdoor entertaining area. Thanks for doing a great job! read more

Artistic Arborist folks have been taking care of my very large trees for many years. After the round of forceful storms so far this year, the gigantic eucalyptus tree in my back yard and precisely 20 feet from my bedroom worried me so much that it would fall into the house, I called for an opinion about what to do with it. We have had it trimmed to the point of it looking like a ridiculous swizzle stick and after discussion, we decided it would be best for comfort and safety to take it down. We are now into day seven of this huge undertaking, but things are going well and the workers are all extremely pleasant to work with. All of this heavy wood has to be hand carried and carted from a second story back yard to the street below where their truck waits patiently. I couldn't be happier with the work they're doing and their caring and happy attitudes. I recommend them for all 5 stars and wish there were more! read more

From the educational quote to the competitive price to the final results and cleanup, I couldn't be happier. Thank you to Porfirio and all the rest of the staff I was able to meet. You all did a wonderful job and I will be referring you to others for tree work. I had eucalyptus that are very tall that needed thinning including hanging over my home. I also have a beautiful old oak tree that needed thinning and trimming. All work looks great and the trees will be healthier and safer as a result. read more

Porfirio and his team are fantastic. I've had 4 or 5 tree companies on my property in Eucalyptus hills over 16 years, and Artistic Arborists are the best. Reasonable prices, careful and fast work, they even injected fertilizer in some stressed pines, and spent a half hour mounting an owl box! Highly recommended. read more

They are great and really knows what they are doing. They have trimmed trees at our home, our church and at my daughter's home. Not over priced. Fair and honest! read more

I would highly recommend Artistic Arborist. I have a beautiful 70 year old Hass avocado tree. Needless to say, I'm incredibly selective about who touches this tree. I researched extensively, checked references, and found Artistic Arborist to be the best fit. This is the second time Porfirio has laced the tree and he does a magnificent job. If you have a heritage tree, I would call them first. read more

Artistic Arborist - Tree Services Near Me - Ramona, California

These people are the best! We have a big pecan tree in our front yard. It's branches extend near the power lines so SDGE's tree trim service comes by and whacks it back, not artistically, every so often leaving it looking lopsided and odd. We have had Artistic Arborist come out twice now. Once 3 years ago and once yesterday. They do a beautiful job lacing and shaping the tree to work with what sdge's service provider did. We have had other services in the past. Typically they do an ok job the first time and not so much the second time. These people are real artists. The crew chief spends a lot of time looking at the tree from every angle before the cutting starts and during. He even went over to my neighbors house who planted a new tree about a year ago and pruned it up a little and gave them tips on training the tree. For Free! They didn't even ask him, he just couldn't stand it so he went over and offered. I will never use another service. I was just lucky to have seen their truck in the Santee Hometown Buffet parking lot when I had eaten there one day. read more

Great professional tree service. Went the extra mile to insure customer satisfaction.

They landscaped our back yard. Very fast reply to email. Very well finished work. Good customer service and very professional.

I cancelled my service that I had scheduled with this company because they told me we would have to re-schedule. I had already boarded my dogs for that day, and could not change the day. Jessica offered me a significant amount off my bill however that wasnt the issue, So, she AGREED to refund my deposit that same day. 3,800.00. She not only didnt refund my deposit, she also wouldnt take any calls from me. I had to go through the dispute process with my credit card co. and it took over a month to get my $ back. I liked the work they had done for me previously but I wasnt treated fairly in this instant. It cost me to board my 2 dogs the day the work was supposed to be done, and while Jessica offered to give me money off for the work to be done on another day, that was NOT the agreement, BEWARE read more

Incredible service! Hard working and polite. And you cannot beat the price!!! I would definitely recommend this company :)

It was such an easy and pleasant experience to deal with this company. They showed up on time for an appointment to bid the job, gave a very reasonable price, returned promptly to take care of all of the trees on our property, and cleaned up the site beautifully. They did a fantastic job of trimming and lacing trees, and of removing one that I hadn't even realized was about to do some damage to the pavement. I can't say enough good things about the business, and intend to have them return every year or two to keep the trees looking great. read more

Hands down the best company to work with. They just completed a huge job involving eucalyptus trees hanging over houses and the trimming/lacing of other types of trees. It was amazing to watch the crew in action. Another company was initially hired, but the job was too big for them and they quit after one day. Artistic Arborists to the rescue! They came out and started the job the next day. We were all impressed. I really like supporting a family based company with such a high work ethic. They travel all over San Diego. We are using them from now on! read more

The Artistic Arborist crew did an excellent job taking down half of a monstrous eucalyptus tree behind our house. This job took considerable skill because of power lines under it, and neighboring house right next to it. They were highly skilled at working with enormous, dangerous trees. I was impressed with the energy they had, and especially their care and concern for all properties involved. They left my yard much nicer than they had found it. We had many estimates given before we chose Artistic Arborist. Their estimate was very competitive. We would highly recommend this company to anyone with a tree to deal with. They were fantastic!!! read more
