Raoul gave the best price and value by far over the other tree companies. He had the right equipment to tackle removing our eucalyptus trees and grinding them out. Some were in jeopardy of snapping and damaging our neighbors' garage so care had to be taken. His crew was on time and worked hard. They cleaned up well the debris too. Best of all was that Raoul who speaks and understands English and who gave me the estimate also works with his crew so there are no miscommunications. We hired Arborcare Tree Care and so glad we did. Raul came out to look over our project and provided a quote to groom 4 Queen Palm, 2 Pygmy palms and remove a 34 year old Ficus Tree. ArborCare did an amazing job of pruning my jacaranda tree. Gabriela and Raul came out to my house to see the tree and provide a quote. Raul used a laser pointer to point out the pruning that he recommended. The crew was very careful in my yard. They moved my potted plants away from the tree, and they unscrewed about 10 light bulbs that were hanging by a steel cable below the tree. After they were done, they put everything back where it was - even taking care to reinstall drip irrigation in my potted plants! If there were TEN stars on Yelp, Arbor Care deserves it. We have lived with our 40 foot sycamore tree for 32 years. She was thinned out -perfectly 28 years ago, then the arborist retired. Since then, she has been hacked, cropped and neglected by people claiming to be arborist. We read many reviews and accepted the bid from Arbor Care. AMAZING JOB! 4.5 stars. Pros: 1. Gabriela is very responsive via Yelp. She scheduled a quote speedily. We requested a quote to prune/reduce trees. 2. Wrote up the quote on the spot. Raul came to meet us. He recommended options and related costs to resolve the problem or keep the roots under control. We always knew one of the trees would become a problem for its invasive roots. 3. They offered a competitive quote that was within our budget. 4. Started the project within the week. They fit us in their schedule at 1:30pm, 2 days from the time we confirmed to work with them. 5. There were 4 people in the team that came for the project completion. They literally completed the work in about an hour. Pruned 3 trees above the roof line, and removed/grind 1 tree. 6. Cleaned up fairly well. We didn't see any missing branches that they didn't rid of from the work. Cons: 1. Lag in communication: On 2 occasions, we reached out to Raul, we did not get a callback or a message from him. In both instances, we heard back after messaging Gabriela. We later learned the team was in an area without cell service. 2. Behind schedule but we were not informed. On the day of the project, they were almost 4 hours behind schedule. but no explanation about how they were 4 hours late. Even though they literally finished in about an hour, and despite the delay did not affect our plans much, it could have affected another client. I hope Arborcare can find a way to prevent the cons I mentioned above in the future. We will consider Arborcare for future tree services. read more
