I went with Master Tree Services to help me cut my tall hedges. They were very prompt to come give me a free estimate and Esteban was very knowledgeable about the details of how I wanted my hedges to be cut, the length, and the shape. He also was able to pinpoint some pest issues and gave me knowledge on maintaining and prolonging my hedges to ensure their health. I received a free quote for some branches I wanted cut down from my neighbors tree that hung over my fence, covering my patio with leaves and just making a mess. Master Tree Services did an excellent job all around! Esteban came out very promptly and provided a clear and detailed estimate. Their pricing was very fair and competitive. They removed and stump ground 3 palm trees for us as well as our center island that held the largest palm, all its roots, a surrounding brick and concrete wall, brought it down to grass level and capped the irrigation. The job was probably more complicated than expected, but they got it done well and didn't come back to ask for more money. They also took out 2 of our neighbor's palms as well. They moved all our potted plants that were around the base of the trees and carefully lowered each seed pod and trimmed fronds so as not to damage anything. Great response and motivated to work. They showed up the day I signed the contract and did the work in one day. Trimmed like 8 palms, manicured a bunch of giant bird of paradise's, removed two bigger trees, another smaller palm tree and groomed some smaller shrubs and palms. Lots of work! Then a few days later came back to grind 3 stumps and polish some cleanup. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend them for your job. It was expensive though. ----Update---- I want to be clear on the cost comment above. Shortly after this post the owner contacted me. I love this and it reflects his commitment to customer satisfaction. His quote was competitive and actually less expensive than others I had at that time and I did agree to the cost upfront and there were no additional fees or costs that they tried to sneak in. The price I was quoted is the price I paid. However tree service is expensive. They carry lots of liability and my project was pretty large. read more

In half an afternoon they were able to remove 2 very tall and 5 medium tall palms plus a variety of bushes and shrubs including an overgrown wild banana whose roots were cracking the sidewalk. First Esteban walked the property with me to come up with what I thought was a very fair estimate which included several free services to trim the palms that were staying. I found Master Tree on Yelp and Cesar, the owner, responded promptly. We had a mature Canary Island Palm tree that was infested with beetles that needed to be taken down and removed.
