This company was great start to finish! My husband was going to get help from a coworker or just keep our tree but after finding Joel, we decided to use his company. Joel communicated with us quickly and was able to come to a very reasonable quote that we were extremely pleased with. Joel and crew got us an appointment right away, they showed up early, and did an amazing job removing our palm tree. The crew was also very nice and did a great job cleaning everything up. Thank you Joel and crew! read more

Responded with a good price, showed up and did it on time. Sent a photo after finishing and called to make sure it was the right tree.

The crew was timely and was very easy to work with. The crew quickly removed a fallen tree and my neighbor's debris from our back property. I asked them to cut some of the fallen tree into firewood and stack it. They did. Highly recommend this team! The price was very reasonable. Now if I could get La Mesa to stop dumping storm water through our backyards I'd be really happy. read more

Best, most efficient tree trimming I've had in almost 20 years in San Diego. 4 man crew super efficiently trimmed -- thoroughly -- an overgrown Calif. pepper tree in a little over an hour. Like a Special Ops operation. Also raked the ground underneath and added a free blower service to the back patio. Best value offered vs. competing firms. Very impressed. read more

Honest and efficient! They gave me the best quote, were timely and did a great job cleaning up. I had a large hedge removed, stump removed and hauled away. Would use again!! read more

Joel came by today to provide a quote, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. He was personable, professional, and very responsive. He replied quickly to my quote request on Sunday, scheduled an appointment for today at 10:00 a.m., and even called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time, took a look at our hedge, and provided a clear, straightforward quote. I still need to discuss it with my husband, but my first impression of Joel is extremely positive. For the quoting process alone, I'd give him an A+ for customer service. Thank you, Joel! read more

They were competitive in pricing. They gave me a quote based on the pictures I sent them so I didn't have to be around for a quote and again when they came to do the work. They were detailed. They did an excellent job trimming my 3 palm trees. They had at least 5 people for my job which took them only an hour. They cleaned up the area nicely considered once of palm trees had fruit that could be all around. Highly recommend Joel's Tree Service. read more

I reached out to Joel's Tree Service due to all of the good reviews I read and I'm glad I did too! The price was good, they worked with my schedule, they are an insured company, and Joel's customer service was great! Joel and his team did a great job from start to finish. They put up tarp barriers to keep the debris from flying everywhere on our home and also onto our neighbors yards and homes. They worked really hard all day and cleaned up everything after too. I am glad I used them and will be using them again for my big tree in my backyard. I am definitely referring them to all of my friends and neighbors! Thank you again!!! read more

They arrived timely with a crew of 5 or 6; each man knowing the specific jobs he was to perform. They trimmed 2 - 20' queen palms, 3 - 20' king palms as well as a smaller queen palm, 6 smaller king palms and a 10' tall hibiscus. They were in and out within 2 hours while leaving our yard and walk ways cleaner than they were before. Very reasonable priced. We highly recommend. read more

All of our trees were overgrown and in need of serious trimming. Joel and his crew did a great job removing a truckload of tree limbs, on time and ahead of schedule. read more

Joel did a great job, comfortable communication, on-time, clean and a professional team got the job done quickly. Thanks!!!

Fabulous crew, I was really impressed with how efficiently and fast they worked, like an oiled machine, everyone knew what they were doing at any time. We had Joel's team come out to remove and grind down 3 trees. None of them were straight forward. They were creative and over performed in areas where the access was tricky and where there wasn't enough room to grind - they managed anyhow! They were punctual, friendly, careful of the property and the communication was excellent. The site was left tidy and clean. We had 3 companies quoting, Joel's price was fair and we liked him the best. I would ask them back in a heartbeat and do recommend this company. read more

Joel's team removed a tree for me. They did a great job, moved quickly and had very competitive prices. Unfortunately, I added on tree pruning for a set of sweet gum, avacado and citrus trees to the job. They did a pretty lousy job at the pruning, lopping off the top of the limbs without accounting for joints, making messy cuts, and damaging the trees in several spots. The results don't look good and it will take awhile for the trees to heal. If you're in need of a tree removal, these guys will do a solid job. But I recommend hiring an arborist who has a better understanding of trees if you're looking for pruning. read more

I highly recommend Joel's Tree Service! They came on time and did a fantastic job on our bamboo trees. read more

These guys are absolutely the best. Requested Joel to take down 6 trees in my backyard along with stump removed. They were on time, quick and cleaned up after work. They even spread the wood shaving in my backyard to protect my backyard from weed. They even agreed to haul away wooden cabinets which I pulled from my garage at no extra cost. I recommend this business and their services. Oh lastly, the best competitive price out there. read more

Joel's tree service was top notch, start to finish. After contacting them, they quickly came out to look at my tree and gave me a quote on the spot. The quote was very reasonable and was the best price among multiple different companies. After deciding to go with them, they were able to book me for the following week. It was a small job, but they brought an entire crew and got the tree and stump removed and cleared all the mulch from my yard in a little over an hour. After they were done, they cleaned up the yard well. Their communication was excellent throughout, and I found the owner to be very professional and responsive. I would definitely use this company in the future and highly recommend them. read more

Joel's tree service was terrific. The crew was very professional as well as punctual and very efficient. I had two Brisbane box trees removed as well as 3 trees trimmed (jacaranda and two palms). Very fast response, sent a team out in 1 day and trimmed my Palm Tree for a reasonable price. Will certainly use them in the future.

Joel's crew returned for another project. Fantastic experience and work as before, will continue to recommend,

Excellent service, highly recommend! Joel came right away to provide a quote. We agreed on a date for trimming of my tall hedges, a couple giant birds of paradise, and my fig tree. He and his team showed up when they said they would, worked efficiently and professionally, did a great job making it look great. And, they cleaned up every branch and leaf before heading out. They were all very positive and friendly too. Very positive high quality experience and a great price (great value) too. read more

Excellent job at trimming two fairly large trees in our yard. They were also fairly priced. Will use them again.

Excellent experience with Joel's Tree Service from the beginning to the end. Joel was very responsive to our quote request on Yelp, came out timely to give a free estimate. His quote came out to the one of the most competitive ones (We got 6 quotes, some guys were asking 5-6x what Joel asked for). Scheduling was a breeze as well. We had a total of 15 trees to be removed, some were over 30 feet tall. The crew arrived on time and was professional, had all the right equipment and safety gears. They were quick and got the entire job done in about 5 hours. They proactively cleaned up the site thoroughly after too! I would highly recommend Joel's company for any vegetation management needs! read more

They did a great job! Cut down some of the trees that blocked our view of the canyon by my house. The crew came on time, and they were very professional. Plus, hiring the team was very inexpensive! Friendly staff, reasonable quote, showed up when agreed, performed work requested and cleaned up nicely.

The job was done really well, and given some specific requests regarding working around existing gardening and landscaping I found Joel's tree service very straightforward and accommodating. Took down 6 palms that were all about 18 feet on average in just under 1.5 hours, and they left everything clean. Super competitive price in my opinion compared to other providers, excellent value. read more
