We have used Trevor and the Branch for years. I did make a mistake and tried someone else one time, and I do mean mistake. The crew at the Branch never uses spikes to climb your trees. They don't ever go in and just start hacking limbs off any tree. They are true arborists and understand how to shape a tree to keep it healthy. And they are aware of any fragile plants under your tree and I have never had my plants damaged. (Unlike that one time I used someone else, I swear that guy stomped on stuff, and my palms still have spike scars) Use the guys who know what they are doing. And respect your landscaping. read more

I had a couple of avocado trees in separate need of trimming. I had used other services from other companies and they did not do a good job. I called Trevor at The Branch, and at the time it was the wrong time to trim avocado trees and he told me. So I waited until it was the appropriate time and called him and set the appointment. They were on time they were clean, they used electric saws so the noise was minimal. They cleaned up all of the branches and leaves and the trees look great. He gave me advice on on how and when to feed my avocado trees. We will be having him back to do the non fruit trees. He also showed me how to find out if the tree trimmer is a certified arborist, which he is. The other tree trimming service I used said they were arborist but looking them up they weren't. And it really shows in the work done. Trevor is great! The workman with him were polite. We have been clients of The Branch, owned by Derek & Trevor Long, for almost 10 years. Over that time, Trevor and his team have been out 3-4 times to do work for us and we have been thrilled with the results each and every time without fail. They have pruned Yucca, Palm Trees, Pine Trees, Schefflera Trees & Citrus Trees. They have removed various trees and bushes, including but not limited to: Pyracantha, Yucca, Bottlebrush, Pine, Fig, Oleander, Podocarpus, Chinese Elm and others. They have dug out various tree stumps and ground several other stumps on our property. There are many reasons that we have become customers for life, but here are just a few: 1) Licensed/Bonded/Insured Company with Certified Arborists/Tree Specialists who are CPR, First Aid and Aerial Rescue Certified with almost 40 years of experience. Do you really want workers climbing tall trees freestyle and with repelling gear; operating dangerous and heavy machinery; and hauling large debris who don't have the above listed certifications and training? We certainly don't! We never have to worry with Trevor and his team onsite as they are all expertly trained, wear the appropriate safety equipment, and maintain all needed safety protocols to protect themselves, the homeowner, neighbors/the public, and the property. Outside of that, they are all just really nice, polite, friendly and knowledgeable people with whom it is a pleasure to interact. 2) Communication - Trevor and Derek answer the phone, return texts and/or return calls in a timely manner. Trevor comes out to do quotes for every project. He carefully walks the property with us to review all requested work; asks clarifying questions, if needed; and provides recommendations and/or advises us of concerns. Quotes/estimates are provided either on-site or in a timely manner. For example, Trevor came out last Saturday, May 10th to review a large amount of work we needed done. He was ready to give me an estimate on the spot, but it was 95 degrees out and I did not want either him or myself outside any longer than needed. I asked him to just e-mail me the estimate when he got around to it. It was sent at 11:30 p.m. that evening! Trevor even followed up the next day, Sunday, via text to ensure that the e-mailed estimate was received. The night before work is the be completed, Trevor texts to verify the time they will arrive the following day. Once onsite, Trevor and his team keep the client advised of all progress, problems and/or needed information. They also send out a periodic e-mail blast to valued customers with helpful updates, helpful tips, behind-the-scenes info, and the occasional special or seasonal offer. 3) Quality of Work - The work performed is exceptional from start to finish. Trevor and his team are quick, efficient, precise and clean up so you never know work was completed. They do what needs to be done with the appropriate equipment whether it is repelling on ropes in a high tree, climbing freestyle in a lemon tree, using an extendable pole cutter, wielding a chain saw, pick axe, small/large stump grinder, chipper machine, etc. Trevor is like a monkey - we are always amazed watching him navigate on ropes or climbing among the branches of our trees. Once they are done, you walk out to expertly pruned trees; smooth ground where trees/stumps were removed; and no debris whatsoever. They blow, chip, sweep and rake up all debris. They have even used my pool net to fish debris out of my pool when tree cutting debris inadvertently finds its way into the pool. 4) Pricing - I have always found The Branch pricing to be fair, reasonable and market competitive. If I have budget constraints, Trevor always works with me to try to meet my budget and/or devise compromises to my work order that meets both of our needs. The Branch will also offer promotions from time to time and, in some case, discounts for repeat customers. 5) Scheduling - We have always found scheduling both estimates and work to be easy and completed in a timely manner. For our last service, I contacted Trevor late afternoon on Thursday, May 8th and he was at my property to create an estimate at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 10th. He had an opening in the schedule for Thursday, May 15th, so all work was completed today. As such, it took less than a week from my original call to work being completed. Obviously, that is not always the case based on work schedules, but Trevor will always clearly communicate a date on which work can be completed, and it has never been more than a few weeks out.
