First time we used Yelp for a project. It was convenient that there were numerous messages that were sent out to various tree specialists. Noe Pablo was the most thorough in messaging through the Yelp app, so my husband and I chose him. I had 2 medium-sized fruit trees I needed to transfer from my parent's home in Southeast San Diego to mine in North County. I took pictures and he gave us a very reasonable price. We also decided to also add another service to take out our palm tree. There were a couple of mishaps such as: The day he was scheduled to take out the palm tree, he was a no-show and my husband had to call him an hour after he was supposed to arrive. Then, the day after that incident, was the fruit tree transfer. He and his team forgot to bring their dolly. Thank goodness my Dad had one so they borrowed it, but now we have the burden in taking it back. Despite these mishaps, Noe was very knowledgeable and professional in his mannerisms. The day of the fruit tree transfer, he and his team arrived in a timely manner, was efficient and did a great job overall. We were very pleased and will definitely use him again if we have another project. read more

Noe and team actually did a really nice job on transitioning our front landscape to drought tolerant plants and white stone. This review is mainly about the way he conducts business. Noe appears to be professional but in trying to get him to come back and complete the job we originally agreed to, he ignored me for over two years. I've attached some texts threads where he kept pushing out the date. And when I finally tricked him into coming back for a consultation (posing as a new customer), he quoted 4.5 times his original quote. The worst part about it was his communication about it when I questioned it. See photos of the text threads below. Do not recommend unless you can afford to be way overcharged. Looks like other reviews are saying similar. It's really a shame because I love my front landscape -- if Noe would have just finished the job honoring his original quote (or even a reasonable mark up) I would have written a very different review. Mr. Pablo insisted my yard needed 50 lights which is obviously excessive even to a layperson. He offered no information about recommended layout. Price quoted was via text with no written estimate and was excessive $5k and 30%) relative to the highest quoted by other licensed contractors and was dropped a few thousand when I pointed that out. The lowered quote was still excessive and showed that the initial one was a money grab so I will not be trying this business. They put up a new fence, pavers, new retaining wall, extended our yard to an easement, putting green, fire pit, improved drainage and more! They always showed up on time, stayed late (after asking if it was ok) if they ran behind schedule due to the rain, and always kept us up to date and ensured we got what we wanted. I had a hideous problem in my backyard. Some decomposed granite I'd put down as a "placeholder" over broad areas some years back was growing algae like a golf course water hazard. It was clearly time to make a choice. I'd invited several landscape guys to make bids on a redo, and finally selected Pablo's Landscaping. They were not the cheapest, but, having been in that business myself (albeit long ago and far away), I found he clearly knew how to address the extensive issues I was facing to have the DG removed, the trees laced, and the affected areas hardscaped. They started work on a Monday and finished by the next weekend. I watched closely to see if they were performing tasks to the required degree and in the appropriate order. They were. Not only that, they were amazingly efficient and industrious. Noe's team is, by far, the most professional group of landscapers I've ever hired. No "no show" days, no waiting for equipment: the required tools, machines, and bins seemed to magically appear before they were needed. And the huge quantities of excavated fill and debris soon vanished from the site. Had found this company on Facebook, texted the number, spoke with their assistant who was pretty good gathering info on what I wanted done and scheduling an appointment. Heard from her a few hours before on the day of the scheduled appointment, confirmed the owner, Noe, would be by with samples. Fast forward to the appointment, and then 15 minutes go by after the fact, I text the assistant to see if Noe is still coming, no response. 25 minutes now after the scheduled time, Noe gives me a call and tells me he won't be making it today. Had someone contacted me prior to the scheduled time letting me know, I'd probably give this company a second chance. But after the fact and almost half an hour late, and when I had cancelled some things to accommodate this day and time we had agreed on, no way. Hopefully others have better luck, but if you can't even be professional enough to communicate with a potential customer, nope... not happening. read more

Honestly, Pablo and his team did one hell of a fantastic job. Just bought a new house and there were a number of trees around the place that were starting to grow to the point where they were either crack through the yard retaining walls, getting a bit too close to the garage entrances, or were brushing atop the edge of the roof. Pablo, the man himself came out to the house, did a quick rundown of everything I wanted to get cut (including removing an entire tree), and gave me a quote that was extremely reasonable. Two days later, he was there with his crew bright and early, and was finished with the entire project in about 90 minutes. The end result was beautiful to behold. Not only was every tree trimmed to my specifications, but every full trunk he removed off multiple plants had been shaved down to the point where you literally had to get up close to see and feel that there had actually once been a forking trunk there at all. The sculpting was that top notch. With work this immaculate with that much attention to detail, I can guarantee you I'll be coming back again and again over the years for any and all of my landscaping needs. read more

Integrity, efficiency, cost effective, and expertise: that's my summation of Pablo's landscaping service. Let me explain. Back in 2017, I decided to convert a portion of my lawn to a desert theme and also to install a hot tub on the side of a cliff in the rear of my home. The spa company provided me with contractors who would excavate and build concrete platform in cliff for my hot tub. I entertained three estimates from licensed contractors for just the spa cliff platform with range from $12k to $20k to do the job. NONSENSE! Pablo landscaping did the entire job, including the desert conversion for under $7k! I was so amazed by the price difference that I actually considered partnering up with the owner Noe. What a professional and courteous individual. Fast forward to May of 2019. Heavy San Diego rains caused slight leveling issue with spa platform. I contacted Pablo landscaping. Spoke directly to owner Noe who took full no hassle responsibility. He hired professionals to remove and disconnect 220 volt electrical connections. His team reinforced the concrete platform to its original state. Noe inspected the work himself, then hired a licensed electrician to ensure all spa connections were perfect. You just don't get this sort of service and commitment to work perfection even years later. As a medical professional who understands the value of a great team in delivering expert care to my patients, I must say that I recommend Pablo's group with my highest regard and without reservation. *Disclaimer-I personally have not used Pablo's Landscape-but my neighbor did* They built a retaining wall and put up a new fence that I share with my neighbor-their backyard, my front yard. The workers were very disrespectful to my property. They treated my home like it was public property. Wouldn't even acknowledge me while in my yard. We asked them multiple times to please be careful with my plants. The fence was over 90 feet long and I had plants all along the fence. They destroyed the back of all my plants and even ripped out a bunch in a corner. They also put "trash" in my bush-whether they did purposely or not---the trash remained there for days and I had to remove it. We had chunks of concrete left everywhere. They also didn't line the fence up with the fence that is currently there. There is also a long bottom piece that is completely crooked. I have attached photos of the damage and issues. read more
