This is a professional and well organized tree service company. Every aspect of their operations is extremely well managed. Their call center manager Adriana (sp) was extremely courteous and she kept us well informed. The site visit with Ryan, a certified arborist, was great and all that we contracted for was provided. The crew arrived on time and was lead by Travis. Any tree service work results in debris and extensive clean up. The crew cleaned up all portions of their job related debris. They are slightly more expensive than other vendors we received quotes from. Their high level of service was well worth the price. We will certainly use them again. They earned their 5 star rating. read more

It was such a pleasure to work with them. From my initial contact with Ariana to Luke, who is an excellent Arborist. He educated me through the whole process with several issues that I was experiencing. My problem was overwatering my Crepe Myrtles. Another company had charged me for spraying for the SAME problem which didn't respond obviously.I was not charged at all for his time or expertise. I will be calling them in the winter for further work. read more

Luke and Jonathan both assessed my two Laurel Ficus and Avocado tree for systemic disease treatment, maintenance and competitive cost. They also spent their time explaining such systemic treatment, as well as how to apply correctly for the required San Diego Free Street Tree Permit for the two front trees. They were absolutely helpful in all these areas. Jonathan returned with the treatment within the expected timeframe, and a month later, my three trees look healthy now and I am grateful for their expertise in systemic treatment. Thank you! read more

We looked forward to their service after a great meeting with Ryan, but we specifically asked if they used spikes to climb the trees and were told no. The workers ended up spiking all of the trees they climbed and offered a minimal discount after the fact. Now we have holes in all of our trees and were still expected to pay nearly full price when this was our primary concern brought up from the beginning. read more

Had some tree damage and just years of growth that we needed cleaned up. Reached out to LC Tree Service. They called quickly after a request email was sent and an appointment for quote was set. They came out on my schedule, Ryan was prompt, very professional and very knowledgeable. While circumstances ended up not using them this time, I will absolutely keep their card for future needs. I called LC Tree Service for a consultation with an arborist on my olive trees that were showing signs of distress (brown tips on leaves). Luke came out and did so much more that diagnose my tree issue (overwatering). He walked with me through my yard to discuss other issues, reviewed and made recommendations about the irrigation, and provided education on why issues occur and what I can do. He was friendly professional and soooo knowledgable. I will recommend LC to anyone who needs consultation and tree services! read more

Luke did a great job of explaining the various issues going on with the trees and plants in my yard (mostly all due to overwatering) and even advised which products I could use on my own to remedy the issues. He also later provided me with written quotes to have them complete the work, which all seem high based on the initial quotes he guesstimated verbally while in my yard. Haven't decided yet how much of the work I am going to have them complete, but I am appreciative of the wealth of information he provided me with while he was in my yard. read more

The trees in our front and back yards were long overdue for trimming. We reached out to LC Tree Service because we knew we wanted certified arborists for our job and we couldn't be happier with their work! Luke was able to come out and look at our property within a couple of days - he was prompt, friendly and super knowledgeable. He went over different options with us and got a quote over that same day. The crew that completed the job was also friendly and cleaned up everything perfectly once their work was done. We'll definitely be using LC Tree Service for our regular tree maintenance now and would absolutely recommend them. read more

I highly recommend LC Tree Service, especially Luke Norvell, their arborist. Luke is honest, trustworthy, and extremely helpful. We redid the landscaping in our front yard which included new trees. The new trees weren't looking good, especially with unseasonal hot, humid weather. We called LC Tree Service and Luke Norvell, their arborist, came out the same week. Luke is extremely knowledgable about tree management and gave me practical advise to ensure the new trees can thrive. He also diagnosed a problem with our 50 year old Ambar and recommended a cost efficient treatment. It was easy to review and approve quotes before work started. Upon quote approval, scheduling was very easy. Work was done efficiently and with great respect to our property and trees. I was so happy with our experience, that I have hired Luke to diagnose and treat other plants on our property. I will be sure to hire LC Tree Services for future work and tree management! read more

Very professional company. Their head arborist Larry is very knowledgeable about tree health, tree trimming and tree safety. The workers were accurate, thorough and they cleaned up after themselves. Also they were very safety conscious and had proper PPE equipment to perform their job safely. Their task was to remove a very large branch from our tree that had fallen on to the roof of our house. They also performed a crown reduction to extend the life and safety of the tree. I would highly recommend LC Tree for your tree trimming or tree removal needs. read more

Arborist consultation with Luke Norvell. Luke was incredibly resourceful, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his work. He provided meticulous details and care instructions for every plant at our new home. I greatly appreciate being provided the knowledge to make the best decision for our home instead of just being sent a list of services. I really feel like I have a relationship with my own arborist and I look forward to working with Luke in the future as I do some work on my own and hire LC Trees to come out and do some things I need professional help with. LC Tree service was professional, on time, reliable, easy to reach by phone, and fairly priced for the job. First, they sent out a qualified Arborist who took a lot of time to explain the problem to us. They did this as No Charge to me, which I found refreshing. Next, they itemized the cost to remove two small trees, flowers, grind stump, etc. They appraised the job in segments, so we could do any or part of the job to save money, if we desired. Finally, they came on time, communicated well and completed our job. They cleaned up, and left the site in great condition. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and would highly recommend them! We had a fungus growing from the root of one of our trees. A few days after calling into LC Tree Service Luke came out to assist in treating the fungus. Ryan came over the next day to give me a great quote and when they performed the service, they had 5 guys to do the job, effective and timely. Everything was professional and when the tree to be removed was stuck in the fence and they couldn't remove it, they told me after that they would after I trimmed the fence. Great. Very very very informative. Loves trees. Knows trees. Decent price, not the very cheapest, but will take special care for the tree . Will work with LC when time is right to trim my particular tree. I went thru a dozen interviews, he was the last. Thankfully I found a decent guy. I did not plan to go thru a dozen people, however, people in this biz can be inept or not honest, leaving you wondering from one person to the next, which plan of action to take. Do your self a favor and include LC in your fist 3 interviews and you wont have to go thru the same predicament. 1. I have a specific tree located in a spot that can affect neighbors. 2. People came in with all kinds of stories and scams even, scare tactics to charge more and frighten people into ruining their long term investment (tree) for their short term gain. They hack your tree, you live with it. And it can be of consequence as well Do Not use: Bob, Homestead wanted to charge double hack the tree up, disfigure and put the tree at a deterimental disadvantage, would have fallen and died after his service, contrary to his statement that he is supposed it did not fall in the wind. It is a beautiful and grand tree, my favorite, and it is extremely happy, Healthy and strong. Bob Used harsh scare tactics saying the tree could fall over at any time, just not nice. This took a week out of my time to talk to more people, actual experts in just that area. More stories of people who hack trees and don't really know what they are doing, or try to scam you into paying double or triple for what is best for the tree. Conclusion our tree is super awesome and healthy, no trimming needed till next year. See LC then. LC knows his stuff. Loves his work. You won't be dissappointed. I always like to work with someone who really loves what they do. Best results. read more

save a tree.... HUG A TREE.... I called LC Tree....Tree huggers unite...or tree trimmers unite... LC Tree Service was the most honest and trustworthy tree service I had come out for quotes for numerous trimmings and removals on my property. Simple, honest, upfront, stick to their word.... and THE CREW was really fun and nice. I had some huge palm trees cut down and removed, a gigantic Pine Tree trimmed way back, some old fruit trees cut down and lots of 20 foot shrubs cut down and removed. The pricing was legitimate and highly competitive to other tree trimmers. A lot of other companies would not come out to Alpine, and the one's located in the East county (not ALL, but most) were a little shady... (did you see what I did there?)"trees provide shade" bwahahahaha So we went with our gut... and hired LC Tree... They also offer up the wood chips for ground cover if you would like as well.
