for once I am speechless!! I cannot believe how amazing the crew of higuera tree service is!!! Jose came prepared to work up an estimate for the star pine that needed a whole lota help!! he 'had me at hello' (thank you Jerry maguire!!) Carla was amazing and was able to make time for me today (as the heavy branches kept on falling and falling down! the job couldn't wait!) I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY!! I AM EVEN HAVING THEM BACK TO WORK ON MY BACKYARD. I had 'interviewed' many companies and higuera won me over. fair, communicative, kind, professional, transparent and trusting.... do not look any further... and if you think I am wrong... I will eat crow. but I won't be wrong...... read more

Luis and his team are amazing! Luis was extremely fast in his responses and provided the most reasonable quote of all the ones I received. This is my 5th year using them to trim my palms and trees! Arrived early and left my patio very clean, Highly recommend!

Needed a couple of large/tall trees trimmed at recommendation of our inspector. Higuera's gave us the cheapest quote, and was able to come in and do the job pretty quickly. They were super professional and did everything we asked for! read more

Luis and his team were incredible! He was able to meet me within a few hours and do the work the following day. His price was far less than expected and he was professional and friendly. He went above and beyond, adding in extra work without worries. I highly recommend him and will definitely go directly back when more tree trimming is needed. read more

Luis arrived early on Sunday morning to give me an estimate and was able to do the work as early as that Friday. He also gave me a quote on a job for my neighbor who decided to hold off on his project. He and his crew quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly removed eleven fountain grass plants as well as an extra one near the fence. They were able to get the entire root ball out for all of them. They also did an excellent clean up job. Luis gave me the lowest estimate out of five. I would not hesitate to hire Luis again and will do my best to spread the word. read more

Luis and his team were absolutely amazing from start to finish! After purchasing our new property, our inspector advised us that several trees along the fence needed to be removed because their roots will eventually damage both our concrete and our neighbor's. I found this company through a Reddit recommendation and reached out via Yelp--Luis responded within 10 minutes and even came out the same day to assess the trees and provide a quote. His responsiveness and professionalism immediately stood out. He initially had availability that same week, but we were in the middle of a roofing project. Luis was incredibly flexible and scheduled us for the following Monday instead. Even when our roofers had a scheduling mix-up and were still on-site during the tree removal, Luis and his team handled the situation seamlessly and worked around the inconvenience without any issues. They arrived at 7am and efficiently removed five large trees (around 25-30 feet tall), finishing just after 10am. The whole process was smooth, quick, and well-coordinated. The pricing was also very fair--especially considering how much costs have been rising lately. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the service. Highly recommend Luis and his team to anyone in need of tree removal or tree services! read more

The HOA needed to get the Carrotwood tree trimmed and laced. Out of all the 4 bids I got, this was the most reasonable. Luis was very responsive throughout the entire process, whether it was through text, email or phone. He even verified valid license and insurance info as requested. Scheduling was quick and he provided before and after photos. Highly recommend and would use them again. read more

We had Luis and his team come out to trim our canary date palm several times over the years since moving to La Mesa and were continually impressed with their professionalism, service and price compared to other quoted we received. Unfortunately our tree succumbed to the dreaded South American Palm Weaveil and had to be taken down completely and once again they did an amazing job and at a fraction of the cost. There was even a small mishap in which a wayward palm chunk flew down the hill and did some damage to a shed door, but they were quick to report it, and replace it as if nothing had happened. We would recommend Luis' company in a heartbeat. While we no longer have the beautiful palm, we will certainly look for other opportunities to continue using and recommending Luis and his company in the future. read more

We just had an enormous pine tree removed from our front yard. It is just so beautiful! It looks so clean...Higuera's Tree Service came right on time... Their work was excellent. They cleaned up... They ground the stump and it could not have been more perfect. There was large roots all over and all of them are gone. Including the stump, of course. This is maybe our fourth or fifth time using Higuera's Tree Service. We have probably been using them at least the past seven or eight years or longer. I could not be happier and so grateful for their hard work. read more

Great company with good pricing. Luis gave me a quote for palm trees that needed trimming in our yard. Negotiated a little to see where we could come to a good price and gave us time to think it over as we had other quotes from different companies. Their team came out and trimmed our palms very well and in a pretty quick time frame. I already asked for quotes on future tree trimming since they came and did the job efficiently. read more

Luis and his team crushed our project. They arrived early and worked quickly and neatly. We asked five companies to bid on our job to remove three 40-50 foot tall palm trees and one dead mulberry, plus grind all the stumps. Their price was in the ballpark and Luis made such a good first impression that he won the job. Highly recommend Higuera's Tree service. read more

Greatly appreciated the prompt response to my call for service and the professionalism of Rodrigo (the estimator) during his visit.

I am impressed! They arrived on time, the work was done quickly and for a reasonable price. Will use Higueras again.

The owner gave us an estimate. Which was comparable to the other companies. However, he explained that the price was their job minimum because of staff and equipment. He suggested that they include other work while here to get the most value for the cost. Absolutely, no one else shared that information nor did they offer to do other work as part of the minimum charge. They arrived on time and did a very professional job. I will definitely call them when we need any tree service again. read more

Luis and his team are fantastic! We asked him to come over and give us a quote to trim all the trees in the back and front yards, and clean up the lawns, for our elderly neighbor lady. Luis gave us a very reasonable quote within a day or two, and we set a date and time. Not only did Luis and his team do a great job trimming the multiple trees and cleaning up her lawns, but my neighbor lady suddenly took a fall while stepping outside as they worked. They immediately helped her, contacted me, called 911 and assisted in the ambulance response. Luis was in touch with me throughout the event so I could meet her at the hospital. I couldn't have asked for better service from kinder, caring, and talented guys. Thank you again, Luis!! I recommend them highly and would use them again in a second. read more

This is my fourth year hiring Higuera's Tree Service. Simply put Higuera tree care is the best !!!! They Just finished some long overdue trimming and cleanup in the front and back. Absolutely professional. Safety conscience and they clean up everything. If you need any type of TREE SERVICE this should be the only company you call. They are very competitive as I checked several other places prior to hiring them the first time and again this year. All of our neighbors use their service and everyone today was completely happy. I will be calling them again in 2023 to do the same thing. Incredibly friendly, professional, punctual, best rates. read more

I was real hesitant to get a contractor to remove the overgrown tree from my lawn. With a lack of time to perform the removal I went ahead and hired Luis and his team. They brought in the heavy equipment with the wood chipper, dump truck and the stump grinder. All of them working took about 20 minutes to perform the service. The job was in no way sloppy and they raked all the loose twigs and leaves. They even threw away my trash bag of leaves on the side of my house! I was overall impressed with the work that has been done. It was totally worth the money. I highly recommend Higuera's Tree Service when you don't have the time to DIY. read more

Higuera's removed a big, nearly 20 ft. tree branch from my neighbor's tree that fell on my roof after the hurricane on August 20, 2023. They also trimmed my neighbor's tree and their palm trees which had been regularly dropping large, heavy palm leaves on my roof. They did a fantastic job! They worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up all the debris (leaves and smaller branches) around the house as well. Although my neighbor had hired them for the branch removal and trimming, I was impressed with their work and hired them to cut a few hedges in my front yard and a small tree that was hanging over the fence from my neighbor's side. Their price was really reasonable and they were very courteous and considerate. I would highly recommend them for tree services and other gardening needs. read more
