We had an area of our two acres that was over grown and looked like a forest. We hired Leaf It. to Us to remove trees and bushes that were over grown. They did a wonderful job that changed our "forest" into a sculpted park! They are awesome! read more

Very knowledgeable, and has helped us with our trees for years. Really great people, we highly recommend

Requested a quote to look into concerns we had for a newly planted tree not doing so well. Before giving us a quote or finding a way to charge us for time, they asked for a few photos and quickly noticed some key issues and walked us through some initial steps to try and correct them. Their knowledge and openness to help was a surprise after trying to get some answers in the weeks prior, and their willingness to do so fast and free before seeing if additional steps are needed was great. Still early going but hopeful we can help get our tree healthy and happy. Wonderful first impression and will definitely utilize Leaf It To Us for future concerns with this tree and additional services moving forward (we have plenty of trees to deal with). :) read more

Jose and his team are the best in the area! Have used them since 2018 and highly recommend.

We had a very helpful consultation and appreciated Juan's tree assessment. Highly recommend!

Jose gave me wonderful advice for my trees which I value quite a bit! My trees were over pruned and suffering and he told me how to work to save them. read more

Jose and his crew were excellent. Jose listened to what I wanted to accomplish with the trees, then took time to point out various conditions within each tree and thoroughly described how the pruning would be done to accomplish what I wanted and what was best for the health of the tree. His crew arrived on time and were polite, professional, and thorough. They were respectful of our property and completely cleaned all of the areas where they worked. I definitely will be using Jose and Leaf It To Us for all future tree trimming needs. read more

Jose's team did a great job again. They removed a dead palm tree, trimmed our queen palm and cut back and shaped our sycamore. Our dead palm tree was right next to our pool. They cut the palm down with great care as to not get debris into the pool. Even though there was little debris, they netted our pool after the job was done. Excellent! I like how Jose's team asked us how much we wanted our Sycamore trimmed. One of his crew was in the tree and showed us where they recommended trimming it down to. This helped keep the tree shape overall. We've used this company for our tree trimming needs as they continue to impress us. They take great thought when trimming our trees and take pride in what they do. read more

Leaf It To Us Tree Service - Before and After. Trimmed Queen palm - Tree Services Near Me - San Diego, California

I needed 7 dwarf palm trees, all with the triple trunks, removed from my front and back yards. I wanted them removed because of the black sooty mold and white fly that was a constant problem. The tallest palm was probably about 15 ft. Jose and his crew of 4 guys showed up as scheduled and had the entire project done in 1 1/2 hours. Their hand grinder did not damage any of the nearby concrete, and all the stumps and roots were cleared. They cleaned the entire yard with the blower. I will hire them to plant more plants. They were very efficient and polite and easy to communicate with. I appreciated that Jose came out to take a look and discuss the removal before the actual removal. He was respectful of my concerns about the possibility of the concrete being damaged and allayed my doubts. read more

This company is great. I have used them for years. The owner and some others in his crew are Certified Arborists, which is very reassuring. When they come out to trim my very large Elm Tree, I don't worry about a thing. The tree is happy, I am happy, my neighbors are happy and you can now see sunshine on the ground under the tree with the excess dense branches gone. Their clean-up is great. You can trust Jose at Leaf it to Us. Highly recommended! read more

Can't say enough good things about Jose and Leaf It Ro Us. He came as a recommendation from a friend. We were thrilled to learn all about your tree and garden condition's. Makes you realize you should do when you move into a new house. We had trees, vines, and plants that we needed to learn how to take better long term care of and some new fruit trees we put in that we had questions about. It was wonderful to get such great insight of what to look for as far as tree health and how to remedy! Jose has been in the business a long time and was wonderful to work with. In fact, we will definitely hire him again. He is so much more valuable than your regular landscaper as far as taking care of your trees in a appropriate, per species, long term health manner! ~ Lynn Carlsbad, CA read more

Poor quality, poor communication, high price. They worked 40 minutes. Did not address the issue, and then offered a good deal on a redo. But that bid was extremely high. read more

We've used Jose & his team for many years and this last week we presented them a monumental task of a severe trim of an overgrown eucalyptus tree in our canyon. It took two days to complete and the amount of debris removal was impressive. Not only did they do an excellent job, his very considerate crew cleaned up as if they were never there. If you are looking for a professional crew, Leaf It To Us is your team. An added side note, the amount of additional light in the house is a plus, very much enjoying the new view too. read more

We have used this company several times. Jose is very concerned about the best care for our trees and his crew does an excellent job. Our trees always look natural and in great shape. I highly recommend this company! Thank you Jose! read more

Leafittous owner Jose Bedoya responded promptly to my initial inquiry and communicated very reliably by texting information about appointments and arrival times. He listened to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions and discussed options for my overgrown avocado tree. Although it would have been simpler for him to do extreme pruning and be done with it, he explained that it was best for the tree to do some shaping and then do further pruning step by step as needed. It is clear that Jose is very knowledgeable about the health of trees and not simply how to maintain their appearance. In spite of an obviously busy schedule, he later came out again when I contacted him with a concern and examined the tree to determine what was needed. I am sure that this company had many larger and more profitable jobs scheduled, but I was touched that Jose took such time and care with my much-loved avocado tree. I strongly recommend Jose Bedoya. read more

This is a long overdue review. After collecting several bids for trimming a big tree I chose Jose because of the price and other reviews. Jose and crew arrived on time with all the right equipment, were very efficient and did a great job. I've referred them to other neighbors and friends and will not hesitate to contact him again for any gardening and tree trimming needs. read more

Was a little tough to schedule but very happy with the end product! We will be using them for all future tree needs. Very reasonable, and you can tell the tree was trimmed in a way that it is still happy and viable. They removed a dead tree trunk for us and structurally pruned our Bradford Pear. Certified arborist is the way to go! read more

Reached out to Leaf It To Us due to a tree that appeared to not be doing well at all. After reading some of their reviews, I called to inquire about a consultation. I spoke to Jose, who simply asked for a few pictures of the tree via text and then called me right back to identify the type of tree (I was clueless, it is an Ash tree) and what was going on. His advice for care was simple and straightforward (and low maintenance, which is my preference). It was also clear from the other things he noted in my pictures that he definitely does know what he's talking about. I started implementing his advice right away and hopefully will see some changes in the next couple of months. Best of all, he gave this simple advice free of charge! Who doesn't love that? read more

Jose was very prompt in scheduling an appointment to examine the health of our gum and pepper tree. He came out within 2 days of our initial call! He gave very helpful recommendations on how to improve the health of one of the trees and spent time explaining how to know if the improvements are working. He also identified a huge concern with another one of our trees. I never would have guessed that it was decaying until his inspection. Very grateful that he detected it so we can address it ASAP. Would recommend for anyone with large trees to make sure you are caring for your trees properly! read more

I texted Leaf It To Us and had a response in 15 minutes. I called his company because my olive tree is slowly dying off. Jose is a super nice guy and you can tell he is very knowledgeable. Jose asked me a bunch of questions about watering habits and other things that could be causing my issues. I sent him a couple of pictures. Bottom line, he gave me a good plan for free to try before he comes on site. I'm really pleased I called his company. Whether my tree makes it or not I feel confident in his advice. I'll know in a few weeks if I need a site visit. Thanks again Jose! read more

I was concerned about the current state of our ficus and reached out for some advice. They answered the phone promptly and gave me the information I needed at no charge. They also provided the contact information for another service that they don't provide. Great insight, very friendly, and free advice. I'll definitely contact them again for help and/or trimming services in the future! read more

Jose and his crew are the only tree pruners I ever permit to work on my trees. They just finished another excellent job for me in which they removed one tree that was planted too close to the house. Then they safety pruned two more large Canary Island pines so that I could keep them and enjoy the shade while not having to worry about wind storm damage. The crew is well trained and I have always been happy with their work. Cannot recommend them highly enough. 5 stars always!!! read more

Waited a week and no response. I emailed and phoned for a consultation. I need an arborist to opine on an apparent fungal infection in a dying jacaranda tree. I needed an expert to see if it can be saved and to keep the fungus from spreading to my other trees. Knowing it is not a money-making big tree trim job, I offered to pay for a consultation. But apparently nobody actually cares. If you need an arborist look elsewhere. read more

We have had Jose out a couple of times to tame our unruly rubber fig tree. He is a true tree artist. It has been thinned out and cleared away from our neighbor's house and it looks totally natural and healthy. The whole team is knowledgeable, professional and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and left my yard looking really great! Their prices are very reasonable, too. This is also the second time they've delivered free wood chips for us to use as mulch, and I appreciate that service as well. read more

I made an appointment to have them assess my tree which had signs of termites and possibly needed pruning. Jose was so knowledgeable and friendly throughout the meeting. He gave me clear, specific information, and was fully transparent in letting me know that I didn't need any professional services at this time. He was 100% professional with total integrity. I highly recommend this company! read more

I became aware of Leaf it To Us when I attended a tree pruning class that the owner, Jose Bedoya, was facilitating at the Water Conservation Garden. He was so obviously knowledgeable and his philosophy to save trees whenever possible, and allowing them to grow naturally, matched with mine. Our property is less than 1/2 acre. Nobody has done any work on the trees in over 30 years. It has two very large old trees (a California Pepper and a Jacaranda), 3 very tall Mexican palms (which did bombing raids every time the wind blew), with an understory of quickly growing Ash trees a driveway of messy cedars, numerous Mexican pepper trees, a sad lemon and a stalwart orange. If also used to have a monstrously overgrown and unrecognizable dead honeysuckle and a big as* palm stump. I say used to because Jose and his crew came in and in one day they cleaned up virtually every tree and bush on the property and took out that stump and cut down that insane honeysuckle which was long dead. And by the way, by doing so they uncovered a beautiful little olive tree that in just 4 short weeks has filled out and come into her own. Jose came first to consult and then, at our request provided a quote with everything called out individually. Not only was this appreciated from a transparency perspective but it allowed us to determine what we could/couldn't afford. As it turned out, we went with having everything done. They came exactly when they said they would - like an army! I think there were 6 people. They had an organized approach and worked steadily throughout the day and finished in about 8 hours. They cleaned up everything! If you hadn't seen the trees before, you wouldn't have known they were here. And the price was the same at the end of the job as the estimate going in. It's a month later and everything looks even better. The trees are happy. We're happy. You'll be happy. I couldn't recommend them more highly. read more

Called Jose regarding transplanting our Ocotilllo plant from one location in our yard to another because of additional work we are having done to our backyard. Jose stated that he had never worked with Ocotillo's before, although he knew about them. The next day we met for him to see the plant and our yard. He explained all the research he had done and talked quite a bit about what my options were. Much of the information he talked about I too had read, however he had a lot more information then what I had found. Shortly after approving the his quote his crew was out to my house and made it all happen. He has a great crew!! You could not tell that we had anything where the Ocotillo originally resided. They placed at the top corner of our property, kudos to them for getting it safely up there!! The crew had to dig up a handful of other succulents and safely set them to the side so that I could replant them elsewhere. They also move a sprinkler head for us as it was right where the plant needed to go. They added supports until the roots are reestablished and explained how I need to care for it over the next two months. We will definitely be calling on Jose for any future needs. read more

We had a really overgrown pine tree that was previously pruned incorrectly according to two other tree services people. José was referred to us by an architect neighbor. He was so patient when explaining to me what needed to be done and what his quote covered. He came over multiple times and even brought a laser pointer in order to show me exactly where and how he'd want to trim the tree. His crew did a great job executing his plan. They were courteous, hardworking, and efficient. They finished a big job in one day and left our backyard super clean. We have a lot of plants under the tree as well. I barely saw any damage afterwards. Everything they did exceeded our expectation. José and team will be our tree people going forward! read more

Beyond impressed with the willingness to help! I messaged this company for help and advice with a fish tail palm that is dying. I'm worrying this review on account of the amazing fact they they were willing to help for FREE! I will definitely be using them and only Leaf it to Us Tree Services in the future. read more

This company is top notch!! They are true arborists. They gently trimmed and reshaped a large tree in front of my house near the street and removed a dying orange tree in my back yard. They ground the stump and had great awareness to my sliding glass doors by holding a piece of plywood up to keep wood chips from hitting the glass doors. Their response time is amazing. They kept appointment times on time and got the job done! I totally recommend Leaf It To Us. The owner Jose was great to work with on every level. I will definitely use them again in the future to keep my front tree in great shape!! Oh, and the price was very fair!! Cindy H read more

I had a number of questions for my backyard trees that ranged from tree health (curly leaves) to proper pruning. Has a very positive phone consultation with Jose, who reviewed photos I had emailed, and talked me through what I did (or did not) have to do to keep trees healthy and productive. Appreciated the very practical advice and him helping me understand what was really necessary or not (that some things I observed were not aesthetically appealing but were not necessarily issues and did therefore not require any treatment). Especially appreciated that he did not try and focus on selling me services but instead provided really helpful information that helped me learn how I can better take care of my trees. Will definitely call back with any future questions! read more
