Cute little Belltown cafe with friendly owners and delicious coffee and food. I ordered their chai and it was tasty, a bit on the creamier side, but pretty good. I also love that they serve a wide variety of savory items like croissants, sandwiches, salads and Vietnamese baguettes! There's a large TV in the cafe too so that's good for watching games if you're not into the sports bar scene. The decor is cute, there's a huge painting of Paris and the cafe feels cozy and warm. read more

I ordered the salmon breakfast with swiss cheese on croissant and a Americano very tasty sandwich and it was reasonably priced and the service was fast and efficient. Oh my gosh, what a delicious discovery! Came in around noon on Saturday for lunch. It's a small interior but enough seating for ...12 about? Cute bistro table outside too. The food was absolutely delicious, five stars !!! I ordered a pork bahn mi (Vietnamese baguette, as on the menu), and a Vietnamese coffee . My food took about 4 minutes and the services was friendly. This family-run cafe has great ambience and super friendly service. I came here twice over the weekend for brunch and lunch. It was never too crowded and very fast service for 2 employees! Food: The first time I got the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich and Mocha. The second time I got the Grilled Pork Vietnamese Baguette and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. They were all very good! The Croissant Sandwich is pretty standard, but with great melty cheese action. The Mocha is what you expect. It's little more bitter and frothy than your typical Starbucks mocha, but delicious! The Baguette Sandwich was HUGE! It was mostly a lot of bread...maybe too much with the bread to filling to bread proportion skewed. The grilled pork inside was fantastic! It's super flavorful and grilled to perfection! The Vietnamese Coffee went great with the Baguette. The sweet bitter creaminess of the coffee balanced out the spice of the sandwich. He coffee is definitely on the stronger, more bitter side. Overall, I'd give the food a 3.5 but would definitely go back for the service and ambience. read more

Delicious coffee and breakfast items. I had a pistachio mocha and a sunrise wrap. I had never had a pistachio mocha (~$5.50) before but they seem to have hit upon a particularly delicious flavor combination. The sunrise wrap ($8.75) was also a standout as it was about the size of a burrito and loaded with bacon, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, and an incredible aioli sauce. Talk about humility. Nothing about this place or the people working in it makes it come across as impressive or high-end, but the food (at least the reuben I ordered) speaks for itself. Perfectly toasted bread, thick cuts of tender and flavorful pastrami, delicious whole grain mustard, and just the right amount of sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese. Really hit the spot on a rainy/cloudy Seattle day. Considering this place is right around the corner from me I will definitely be back for more - the perfect casual neighborhood spot (FYI currently still takeout only). I got to Seattle and I was craving for some of my well-known ethnicity food which is banh mi. Banh mi is well known in Vietnam for there fusion texture of French and Vietnamese for when the French conquer Vietnam. (Excuse my knowledge of food and also my culture) I believe what makes a great Vietnamese sandwich like banh mi is pate which is shredded bits of pork intestines, with Vietnamese meat like pork and chicken with their veggies like jalapeño, cilantro, and their vignetter shredded carrots and radish. I didn't get that at all. I wanted actually disappointed for an Asian run cafe shop to be serving a banh mi with the low quality they describe on their menu. I believe that anyone who wants to know authentic Vietnamese banh mi sandwich should good a good amount of meat, veggies and a fresh baguette. The baguette I could say was super fresh and delicious but lack the flavor of what I wanted to taste for a banh mi. I wanted more meat and more pate or pate if possible or even mayo! That will be the killer steal for this business if they added mayo and pate to their sandwich more. You honestly will make double the business with the taste flavor you are selling. For $6.50 for a Vietnamese sandwich? I could it get it back home, I thought this place would bring my culture and a sense of home here on Seattle. If anyone says it's good Vietnamese sandwich, you haven't been to California where in the east side it's $4 for a well full sandwich and you get what you paid for. Or you never had a good Vietnamese sandwich before which i can't believe because there's barely any here. There's no skipping on meat and veggies. I try to support this small business, because the married couple who own it are really nice; however, they still have the inside portion of the restaurant closed, so you can only get take out. Such a cute cafe in Bell town. We got two types of sandwiches the Rachael and the smoked salmon. Both sandwiches were delicious, but I have to say the Rachael is one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. The banh mi sounded promising since they have homemade pate. * Chicken & rice soup ($4.25): very thick (too thick), too salty, with wild rice, like a not very good chicken pot pie filling, would recommend avoiding The fro-yo (Honey Hill Farms) isn't offered year around. When it is available, you can find the flavors on their Facebook page for flavors. I wanted macarons but they were out (or they're not offered every day?) I really enjoyed this quirky cafe on a typical dreary Seattle day. It was a nearly pleasant walk in the November rain from 6th Street North (where there happens to be the cheapest street parking in the entire city at $1.50/hour). The exterior facade Artisan Cafe is a classy coffee shop: brick with large windows on two sides. Inside is a counter behind which two Vietnamese women bustle about making drinks, sandwiches, and dishing up soups. The rest of the space is crammed with a few regular tables and high counters with stools lining the windows. On one of the counters is a healthy pile of newspapers and magazines. There were a good amount of power-strips for charging electronic devices - especially those that take advantage of Artisan Cafe's free wifi! I enjoyed a Vietnamese Meatball Baguette with a latte for a little over $8. The ladies behind the counter were polite and efficient. I watched one of them heating items in the two microwaves along the wall behind her and then assembling food. My baguette was wrapped in paper and then secured with a rubber-band. It was surprisingly ready before my latte! The sandwich was really interesting. At first I internally questioned if I was given the wrong item (see picture). The white-colored meat on the sandwich did not fit my understanding of a meatball nor was it covered in tomato sauce (per the menu description). The textures and flavors were scrumptious and I assumed that my original confusion was attributable to my unfamiliarity with Vietnamese meatballs. The meat tasted like chicken and was heavily seasoned with salt and vinegar. The freshness of the cilantro provided an inviting contrast to the bread and meat. The bread was soft and easily fit into my mouth. The flavor of the latte was initially bitter but other more interesting flavors quickly followed that impression. I'm not a good judge of the quality of coffee but I can tell you that I found this cup to be alright. I would have preferred a little sweetness; however, I could have easily gotten up from my seat and gone to the condiment station and added whatever sweetener I wanted but I chose not to do so. read more

This little cafe is super adorable. Their food is pretty good, as well. This establishment serves bagels, sandwiches, coffee, bahn mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwiches). I am particularly fond of the Seattle Club sandwich because there is turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, caramelized onions, BACON, and this delicious alioli sauce that they spread on the bread. Prices are a tiny expensive for the sandwiches ($7.50) but for whole sandwiches they also include chips so I guess it's worth it! It's cheaper than most of the other food options around the area, but the portion sizes aren't terribly big here either so keep that in mind. Plus the cute Asian girl that works there is always so ridiculously nice. Gah! read more

Had a serious chocolate milkshake craving! I'm 9 months pregnant so that means, I need it NOW! I work about 2 blocks from this place but I'd never even noticed it sitting there on the corner of 5th and Vine. I'm so glad I did though! This milkshake is EXCELLENT! They even topped it off with a little whipped cream. When I checked in I received a 10% off food coupon so now I have a reason to come back and try some food. The temperature of the sandwich was nice with the cool salmon and tomato balancing the hot croissant and melted swiss. Also tried the banh mi, which was not on the menu, and was very impressed. The pork was tender and had a nice sweet/spicy flavor to it, crunch was provided by the pickled carrots and peppers, cilantro and a house aioli completed this delicious sandwich. I should also note that after taxes the banh mi was only $5.20 with the smoked salmon croissant closer to $9. This is my new place for a quick and easy lunch in Denny Triangle! I had walked past this unassuming little corner restaurant many times before stopping in on a walk with my Little Dude because it is dog friendly. I am sooo glad I did because my meal was legit so good I kept thinking "damn, this is so delish!" After legit every bite. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee is a sweet and flavorful pick me up and their combo baguette (pork, fish sauce, pate, was seriously incredible - for sure the best lunch sandwich I've had in a long time. I opted for a chai latte which was good. For food, I ordered a breakfast croissant and the sunrise wrap. Both were very good and the food was fresh because we noticed one of the workers arriving with vegetables and such from the local farmer's market.
