This is a cute little place to get a quick bite. I had the Vietnamese pork sandwich and the bread was to die for. Light and fluffy with just the right amount of chewy and crunch. Yum. The sandwich overall was tasty. I also had a coffee milkshake since it was super hot out. This was pretty good also. We sat outdoors because it was a lovely hot day, and they brought the food out. Worth stopping by for a quick affordable lunch. read more

First time here and I couldn't be any happier with this little gem! My colleague and I were in town for business and we were in search of a cafe with free wifi along w/sandwiches to bring to an agency meeting. My vanilla latte was excellent! Good grade of coffee used to craft it! I ordered a lox bagel and that too was really good! We were also able to feed a team with an array of sandwiches and the 2 employees accommodated us without any problems. Keep in mind they were literally able to provide catering on the spot. They use really fresh ingredients here from their breads, veggies, meats, and coffee. Wish we had something like this in SF. Goes to show simple food can still be very delicious. read more

Love dropping by this place for a leisurely banh mi brunch on Saturdays since it's within walking distance. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and it's an open kitchen so you can see the sandwiches being made and talk to the person making them. Prices are reasonable for the area. I recommend their tofu banh mi -- the tofu is well marinated and the flavor is a bit different than is usual for these types of sandwiches. read more

One of the best banh mi sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was fresh but crisp. Also, the pork was actual meat pieces and not grizzle or fat. I also tried the vietnamese coffee which was a bit strong for my liking but not bad at all; just personal preference. This restaurant is close to my job and serves breakfast and lunch. 10/10 would recommend! :) read more

Really delicious mom and pop Vietnamese sandwich stop in Seattle. The price was really good and the sandwich and Vietnamese coffee were out of this world. Satisfied my cravings! Inside this is a cute little spot with plants and window seating making it ideal for those dining alone as well as in a small group. I could see myself picking up a sandwich to go if I lived around the area. Staff was also very friendly and kind which is appreciated! I would frequent here if I lived in Seattle. Order a combo banhmi and club. Club was pretty good, but lacked favor. Banhmi was almost inedible, meat was dry and cold. The bread, was terrible. Most banhmi has a crusty outside texture and fluffy on the inside. This just tasted like it was old and dry and microwaved. read more

Such a random find during our trip to Seattle (thanks Yelp). Tiny little market offering delicious banh mi sandwiches. I would eat here multiple times a week if I lived or worked close by. Not much else to say, we loved our tofu and combination sandwiches, and only wished that we had more time to come back and try more. The coffee was fine. You come here for the sandwiches. read more

This place is a gem. Cozy interior, intimate service. Affordable banh mi and I can't recall having any better ones, and I've lived in Houston and Dallas in addition to Seattle. They have all the coffee beverages you could want, including delicious ca phe sua da, and their other (american/non-viet style) sandwiches look good too. They even have rotating soups -- I had their gumbo which wasn't the best ever (I prefer seafood and this was chicken) but was welcome on a cold day. Keep going what you're doing! read more

Simple, casual and quick cafe that offers a French/Vietnamese favorite. Coming from SoCal and the epicenter of Vietnamese food, expectations are high. After deciding we didn't want typical breakfast food for breakfast, we stopped here on our brisk walk to visit the Space Needle (only a few blocks away). Double diamond banh mi had pork belly, pork patty, late and veggies in a baguette. What a light yet savory option! The lady got a salmon lox croissant which she thoroughly enjoyed with a bag of jalapeno chips. Vietnamese iced coffee made my morning! No frills, quaint cafe... But simplicity is just what you need sometimes! read more

I ordered the tofu bahn mi and it was delicious! I love a couple blocks away and walked here for lunch and place to work on my laptop. Our first breakfast in Seattle before heading to the Space Needle and Chihuly Glass Garden. Excellent, friendly service at the counter. We arrived at 9am and ordered two Americanos and an OJ with a pork banh mi sandwich, a breakfast sunshine wrap and breakfast classic croissant. All 3 sandwiches were delicious and so fresh! Loved the banh mi here, so flavorful and with the right flavors. I've had banh mi in Boston, LA, SF, San Jose, Chicago, and Houston and this place ranks pretty highly. It's definitely more of a hip banh mi place though so the prices are close to $6-7. Either way, I enjoyed it and it was good enough for a lunch. read more

Such an adorable little cafe. Stopped in here for a quick breakfast bite and coffee and both were great. I had an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant as well as a latte and neither disappointed. Although it's a smaller shop with not too much space it's perfect for a fast bite when you're in a rush. Will have to come back again to try their Bahn Mi! read more

Strolled in here, intimate setting but cute. Little pricy. I think I got a white chocolate mocha. Cute cups! Lol. Wasn't too crazy about their limited tea selection. Service was nice and quick. Let's cut to the chase: Their bacon/egg/cheese breakfast croissant is to die for. *end of chase* Deeper thoughts: Husband and wife run this place; Mom and Aunt (I think) recently covered for the purveyors whilst on a euro-vacay. The family-covers did a bang up job covering, plus the Mom/Aunt combo were absolute sweethearts and adorable. This is one of those places where it's clear that 'love' powers (to some extent) the deliciousness of the food and the success they enjoy. I wouldn't change a thing other than to suggest they stay on top of health department inspections, maybe lighten up on the use of the radiation box, and if expansion ideas come up, do their best to stay involved in each location. Final word: Give them a try if you haven't, you'll be delighted by both the food and the service! read more

Why get a $6 mediocre footlong from a chain restaurant when you could come here and get a fresh, flavorful chicken sandwich with thinly sliced carrots, cilantro all wrapped up in crusty french bread?! This banh mi (Called french bread sandwich on the menu) only costs 5$ and some change and is 100x better than the average sub sandwich. Different level altogether. I want to come back and try the pork banh mi! I take out the peppers because they're too hot for me. The sandwich is filling and chock full of flavor. Highly recommend! This airy corner cafe is walking distance from Seattle Center, the perfect lunch break from touring the museums. If you need an extra boost to get through a day of tourism, try their vietnamese iced coffee! read more

Im kicking myself for not coming here sooner, because moments after bringing my sandwich home I was messaging a friend the following: "OMG! My face is full of happiness right now.. aka bacon and gorgonzola on a sandwich!" I work from home and only get 30 min for my lunch break. Im starving cuz I skipped out on breakfast. My kitchen sink is broken so I don't want to cook and have dishes pile up, plus I had next to nothing to cook anyway. The nearby pizza place wont allow carryout for orders under $20, and everything else plausible would have just been junk food groddiness. Then I remember I am right by the Artisan Cafe -- and a sandwich should be quick and portable. I run across the street to a place that is small, bright and clean. Free wifi, tons of outlets, and a computer hooked up to a big ol'flatscreen LCD. One of the owners gives me a menu and it takes me all of 3 seconds to decide that I want the BGT -- the bacon, gorgonzola and tomato sandwich. How could I resist? I sit and wait, the owners make idle chit chat but being truly interested. They apologize for the time frame the sandwich takes (but so worth it cuz EVERY bit of it gets toasted!), and then they pack it up all pretty and send me on my way. The sandwich? Well it is amazing. Im planning on going back to try their grilled cheese and their caprese soon. And maybe a coffee... and maybe a frozen yogurt...or maybe a breakfast sandwich right now.... read more

This is my new favorite spot in Belltown. Well more like my first favorite spot, my first love, since I just moved to Seattle a few weeks ago. What's so great about it? Well why don't we start with the non-food aspects and end with the food. First of all, wonderful and extra friendly service. It takes awhile for you to get your food, yes, even when there are only a few people in the shop. However I like to attribute that to the "made-to-order" nature of the restaurant. Anyway, every person there is extra nice and accommodating. Kind of just makes me smile thinking about them. Secondly, they have wifi and sufficient outlets around the cafe. Also a big screen tv hooked up to a computer that I'm not sure what it's for, but it seems cool anyway. It just adds to the overall hip internet cafe image. Now we come to the food, oh dear god the food. BGT. Bacon, GORGONZOLA, tomato. I always kind of the thought the lettuce was a copout anyway, adding nothing to the whole BLT ensemble, just lying there limply as it wilts under the freshly fried bacon. So an upgrade from lettuce to one of my favorite things...enter blue cheese.....is an enormous improvement, and perhaps the best improvement ever conceived. Not to mention that they add some lightly caramelized onions (I say lightly because they are still crispy al dente, but sauteed just long enough to bring out some extra sweetness) which is a perfect compliment to the bite of blue cheese. Overall this sandwich was awesome and I would come here over and over again for it. On to breakfast! I had the Everything Croissant which has scrambled eggs, ham, tomato, onions, a seasoned croissant and chipotle aioli! Chipotle aioli is my ambrosia. It makes everything taste better. The scrambled eggs were fresh off the griddle, the ham was nicely lined in a fatty and flavorful crust, the veggies were fresh and crisp, and it was the perfect way to start the day. read more

Browsed Yelp for a good lunch place and found this. Such an awesome spot to get lunch! I had a tuna sandwich which was amaaaazing. The cheese was first melted and then the sandwich was pressed so the bread was nice and crunchy. The tuna was delicious, nice big chunks and the tomato fresh and sweet. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back and get one right now. My boyfriend had the pastrami sandwich and he liked his as well. When we were waiting for the sandwiches we saw the frozen yogurt machines sitting behind the counter and the girl that tended to us said they start serving frozen yogurt Wednesday (aug 10th). I heard flavors like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, peanut butter and maybe peach but I'm not sure about the last one. You bet we'll be there Wednesday to try some!! read more

I *think* the bahn mi sandwhiches they have on the menu are a new item. I had a pork sammich and wife had the Bacon, Gorgonzola, & tomato sammich. The first bite of the pork bahn mi was a touch dry, but there was more aioli in the middle, so I didn't mind. The pork itself was sweet and nicely cooked, and I appreciated seemed to be lightly pickled onions on top. If I could have anything different, it'd be the option of a squirt of sriracha on top. I'm not a skinflint, but I was pleased by the $4.75 price for mine. Wife's sammich was grilled nicely, and was very tasty. I'm very glad that wife found this place, and I can easily see it being my default lunch place. Looking forward to the soups that are coming soon. read more

I came here after exploring around Seattle Center a little. It's walking distance, right under the monorail, and I would highly suggest stopping in for a quick bite or some drinks to take on a walk. I talked with the owners, and apparently the cafe is under new management as of May. It sounds like they have great plans for the future, including home-made frozen yogurt and new sandwiches. I'm looking forward to visiting again! read more

I was here like 90 minutes ago and still taste the awesomeness of the Sicilian Spice sandwich in my mouth. We got it on marbled rye and topped it off with some bacon (very recommended!) and I'm not sure how you can go wrong with a handful of pepperoncinis! I love, love, love it! The aioli was also spot on. The caramelized RED onions were good, but I'm not an onion fan... so the boy got extra onions in his. I've never had red onions caramelized before, so it was a pleasant change. We also got a double iced vanilla latte and it was perfect. I've had my fair share of coffee to judge ;). I love the interior of the cafe, it's clean and well-kept. I know some cafe's can get dingy and dirty... but there is a lot of class in this cafe. There was a good flow of customers in and out while we were there. I highly recommend this place if you happen to be in the area... it's a stones throw from the Seattle Center. I can't wait to try their froyo when it comes in! read more

We got into the cafe business after graduating from college. While working behind the counter these past few years we've met our fair share of interesting customers and experienced the joys of a good latte. The Italian Hot Beef didn't come with cheese so I had to add it as an upcharge where it then became more expensive than the Philly cheesesteak. That didn't make sense but it was a good portion size and the flavors were perfect. They have Pepsi products for beverages and although the only condiment they have is Ketchup the other food stall may have a better selection if you need.

I have to make an update for my review, the baguettes are my new favorite and will blow your mind. The bread is perfectly toasted, doesnt cut into your mouth and very fluffy inside, the meat is actuallly warm! Saigon deli was always what I considered to be the best in seattle however not anymore. The meat is extremely juicy and so flavorful. $4.75 is a steal for a gourmet sandwich... well done. I also love their breakfast sandwiches, when I want to indulge I get the everything croissant, the mighty muffin is just as good but I assume saving a few a calories. The ingredients are super fresh, they are very generous with the toppings. Thickest and fluffiest egg patty you'll ever see and it comes out piping hot, so good!!! Go, go, go, go, go. I work in Belltown and this place is my favorite. Absolutely incredible sandwiches, amazing coffee (and well priced, too!), and the service is amazing. Every time I have come to this cafe I have been greeted by a smiling staff who were eager to help me with whatever it was that I needed. Even if the food were terrible (which is absolutely is not) their attitude would make it worth coming back. And their breakfast? Good Lord. If you haven't tried the breakfast croissant do so ASAP. Probably the best Banh Mi in Seattle. Working in Downtown, I like to explore and try out all the Banh Mi places. By far this is the best tasting and the lowest price you'll find in Seattle.
