Came here for a quick work lunch, saw the reviews and they are well known for their burgers. Got the Boursin Burger ($14 after tax/tip), definitely very good and they even let me opt into getting it cooked medium. They have some delicious grainy yellow mustard at the table that pairs well. Plenty of fries and sliced pickles served on the side. Would come back, server was very sweet and took our request to split the bill into separate checks without any issue. Hyde Park staple. Judging from the monolithic mural running the long wall opposite the bar, it's pretty telling. That's a good sign. Not sure if it's the best burger I've had in the city (a good 2nd if not, unsure), but that's the heart and soul out of the kitchen and lots of them. The Tall Stack is just a carnivore's dream and you'll need a go box or bulimia depending. The Hyde Parker (avocado) is a solid choice, different, but equally good. Sub the fries for a salad if that's your bag. Bar is totally decent as well. Well stocked, professional. Oh, and when the Hyde Park Blast (community racing, street fair, local big deal) is on, lock down a table to find that oasis in the desert. TLDR: BURGER MADNESS! BURGER MADNESS!! BURGER MADNESS!!! In the spirit of being consistent with everyone else's reviews...BURGER MADNESS!! I've been meaning to come here ever since before I had even moved to Cincinnati. Conveniently enough, it was just down the road from my dentist so I decided to grab a burger to-go. At first glance, Arthur's looks like your regular bar with tables and booths scattered around. The longer I sat there looking around, the more the ambience really grew on me. There was a wall opposite me with a mural of different Cincinnati celebs that was pretty cool to look at. I walked up to the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender who handed me a menu and asked if I wanted anything to drink. Since I had never been, I asked him a few questions and saw burger madness. This was obviously the only correct and obvious choice. I decided on sautéed onions, pineapple salsa, and avocado ($1.50 extra). And thus began my wait (aka more people watching). At 4pm on a Tuesday, there were only 3 other people at the bar, eating and drinking (it's 5 o clock somewhere, right?). There were plenty of to go orders being placed while I waited for my food. The wait was a little longer than I had expected, but oh was it worth the wait. My food came out in a styrofoam box, and the bartender graciously taped it shut for me just in case (the burger was too big for that box!), which I really appreciated. As I drove home salivating with the scent of burger filling my car, I regretted not staying to eat it right away. I left the burger for longer than I should have, and longer than I wanted to (adult responsibilities and all that junk), so by the time I took my first bite it was cooled down considerably. But still, my first bite took me to burger heaven. The meat was thick and juicy, and the flavors meshed together so well. I felt like there could have been more avocado, but can you ever have enough avocado? The fries were crisp and well cooked, with a little too much salt for my taste (easily fixed by brushing some off). Basically, this is my new favorite burger place. I can't wait to come back to sit down and eat next time, so my burger will be hot and steaming when I eat it. The bartender taping my carton shut really was such a plus, and I love when restaurants take the effort in little things like that. I've visited this neighborhood mainstay at least 10 times since moving to Cincinnati and have enjoyed every one of the burgers I've ordered here - in fact, I've never ordered anything but a burger and I've never had the same one twice. Their burgers are actually cooked to perfect temp and I get a consistent medium everytime, however, the game changer is their salmon burger. If you are catholic (or like myself eat fish on fridays in lent to keep your better half happy) then I will guarantee you that you will not find a better fish sandwich in the city. The Salmon BLT (which I have ordered without bacon during lent) is for lack of better of a better term, on point. The veggie burger here is one of my favorites in the city - it's flavorful, you can see the black beans and other ingredients in it, and it always tastes amazing. I get the Cantina Black Beana burger that comes with avocado, pepper jack, poblano relish, onion, and pink salsa, all for $13.00. This seems pricey, but it's so good that it's worth it. Also, the staff is nice, and you can tell they work well together and help each other out. For example, our server was busy and another server saw we were ready to cash out, and assisted us. Fries are thick but not steak fries. Service was good. They were moderately busy on a Saturday but we were seated right away and waitress was attentive. Had several TVs playing football. Great vibe in Hyde Park Square! We chose Arthur's due to its prime location in Hyde Park Square. It's close to a lot of attractions that are within walking distance. At first sight, the restaurant looks kinda dingy from the outside and even the inside looks "divey". However, we decided to get the place a try. They offered us seats outside, don't turn that down! It is amazing and 100% better than the inside. It's atmosphere is amazing and feels as if you are in a nice downtown area. The food was great as well, however we all got the same thing (burgers). They were cooked very well, and they were served with French fries that were amazing! Don't forget to get their blue cheese dressing, it's to die for! Overall I ranked a 4/5 as the inside isn't pretty at all. So if you visit make sure the weather is good and request a seat outside. read more

They have Burger Madness on Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday where it's a flat price for a burger with as many of their toppings for no extra price (except their more expensive toppings). They have the option for a Sally Burger which is a 5 oz burger, it's just the right size! I suggest getting the Cajun French fries if you like seasoned fries that are a little spicy. They're pretty tasty! My mom really loves their tuna salad sandwich. It's a huge portion, too! Their patio is amazing. If it's warm out, definitely sit outside. I think all of their beer on tap now is from local breweries right here in Ohio! Great burger and some of the best chicken tenders in the city, but want to see its night life version to know if it's 5 stars. I went on a Monday for a late lunch so I got the burger madness special. I loaded the Arthur's original burger with mushrooms, Chipotle BBQ sauce, onions and provolone. I went for a medium cook since the bartender said their cook on burgers is much rarer than others. The burger also came with fries and pickles. I loved the taste of the burger. I was surprised to find that I had wished I had gone with a darker cook (usually places don't make it taste enough for me!). I also probably could have gone with the 5oz too; so much food! 3pm My friend got the chicken tender basket (with fries). She's a regular and said these are "some of the best chicken tenders in town." Considering that's about all she eats anywhere, I consider her a connoisseur ;-) It was pretty quiet so I didn't get a feel for the regulars. The staff are friendly, and I love the old booths and wood work. I'd love to go in the evening to see what it's like then. If the atmosphere is something I dig (e.g. friendly, laid back, lots of laughs and maybe singing), then I'd definitely boost my review to 5 stars for the full package deal. read more

Stopped by Satuday night and had the Arthur burger. Arthur's is one of those places that never fails. Whenever I am in the mood for a burger and not listen to the cardiologist Arthur's is the place to get my fix. I like how they cook the meat to your liking. I know its not healthy but I like my burgers medium rare. I only order hamburger meat that uncooked in places that I trust. I would never order that at say a Five Guys or Steak and Shake. Arthur's is pretty much the only place I feel comfortable. The atmosphere is your typical sports pub with a dinning area on the opposite of the bar and a very nice patio in the back. Arthur's never does me wrong. The staff and the food are both always fantastic. The patio isn't too shabby either! Arthur's has been voted best burger by Cincinnati Magazine and if you try it, it would be really hard for you to disagree. The meat is just so good and the size of the burger is crazy. (You can opt to get a smaller sized patty but you won't catch me doing that!) if you visit on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday it's Burger Madness where you can get unlimited toppings and a side of fries for ten bucks. You can even substitute a black bean or turkey burger for no extra cost. I do love the regular burger but Arthur's black bean burger is to die for. I usually get the Cantina Black Beana if I'm not there for Burger Madness. Trust me, you'll love it. The appetizer menu is A+ as well. Arthur's is known for how good their fried cheese is. If you are a legit crazy person and aren't into fried wedges of hot cheese, try the nachos or the wings! You won't be disappointed. Here's a tip, get the wings tossed in the Cajun seasoning that they use on their Cajun fries instead of wing sauce sometime. You'll love it. The staff is always so quick and friendly. There are assistants who are quick to fill up your drinks, clear your table or even take your check for you if your server hasn't taken it yet. If you can get a booth, it's much more comfortable than the crowded tables in the front room. They will be on the no wait app soon. During nice weather, the patio is fantastic. Why, Arthur's? Why?? I so badly wanted to LOVE Arthur's like most of my friends do, but I had such a disappointing visit and I have to be honest. My group of 5 (all Arthur's first-timers) decided to go on a late night burger run and arrived at Arthur's at 9pm armed with massive appetites. It's burger madness month and we all decided to get the original Arthur's burger with our own slew of toppings. When my burger arrived, I was excited to see a plate full fries and a mound of toppings on my burger, however the excitement ended there. Upon the first bite of the burger, I was left wondering, "Where is all the flavor?!" Despite the additional bacon, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, and pepperjack cheese... there was absolutely no flavor. The meat itself was very underseasoned, I felt like I was chewing on a piece of 1,000 calorie rubber. In addition, the patty was so thick that it made it impossible to take a bite of the entire burger without something falling out and making a complete mess. I had to repeatedly put the burger back together after each bite. Finally, I gave up and used utensils to finish it... And who wants to use utensils to eat a burger?
